      First 2 Years 500+ Lucids

Weeeee! Today is my lucidversary. June 12, 2012 is when I first started LDing!

I have had approx 600 LDs, I have counted at least 500 and I have been getting at least 1 lucid a night, most nights I get more (last night I had 4).

Any questions? I would love to answer them!

I don't have a "big secret that everyone missed but me", I did mostly things that you see in most fundamental lists.

That’s very impressive! I’ve been trying to lucid dream on and off for about a year and I’ve only had 11! Could I ask: what do you do as your main practice? Do you still use reality checks? Thanks.

Wow, wow! Congratulations. Well, here's a few questions, do you use any supplements or take any herbs? If you're lucid so often, what do you find yourself doing the most in your dreams, or does it vary wildly? Have any tips that spring to mind for the rest of us?

I'm wondering this as well. What's your plan throughout the day to help you become lucid?
Also, how do you get into the right mindset to have a lucid dream? Some nights I want to have a lucid dream, but I don't feel like I'll have a lucid dream.

Thanks Nyxcc! A million more! I'll totally freaking do it! thanks! It has been nice to see a lot of people stick to it, most all the people that started right when I did quit, but there are quite a lot that came after me that seem to be sticking to it (like you). It is always awesome to see someone keeping on keeping on.

My main practice is sleep! Lol.

I do a lot of a lot of things in order to LD, I do RCs, but never in dreams anymore. I mainly have a state of mind for checking reality (raising awareness). It is important to keep to the basics, dream awareness (recall and aware dreams) and state awareness. You want to make sure that you are always working on these, so at least 2 things consistently every day. You can do more, but not less. My personal.favorite starting point is naiya's simple mild tech you can Google, or I can add a link later.

Awesome, buddy, you're DA MAN! You are (and have long been) on the list of people "I want to be!" (sivason, sageous, hukif, etc.).

I hope you don't mind me answering for you, but one thing I know about Sensei's day work is that he has his mantra ("I'm dreaming" or just "dream") going in his head 60x24x7 (every minute of every hour of every day), in addition to just always thinking of dreaming, no matter what he's doing. I've done a half-a$$ed version of this but I'm now trying to step it up to Sensei-levels .

Supplements are the Devil! I hate all supplements, but I do have to say that I am pretty healthy, so I don't know how much that has helped. Healthy body, healthy mind, healthy sleep.

Doing most in my dreams... I always adventure around and talk to DCs, flying, looking in books, around corners, transforming, teleporting. Recently, I have been using a Sword Art Online menu and trying to use it to store items. I fight a lot like anime, and also a lot like normal hand to hand combat.

      Tips.
      Sleep
Spend time on recall each day
      Spend time on state awareness

Here is a simple tutorial that I love:

thanks for reading them, some of them are a little crazy, but they are fun for me to think about.

I am not on their level yet! I will be there soon though. I don't mind. Yes... Dream is where it is at!

      Everyone
Micro-WBTBs are one of the things that I spend a lot of effort on. I wake up many times through the night for only a few minutes at a time. Each time,my dreams get more and more aware dreams and I reset the intention.

Wow congrats man. 500 LD's in 2 years is an amazing achivement!

I feel happy for you but to be really honest i'm also kinda jealous since I want a ton of LD's too...

      But I digress.

My main question is what exactly do you mean by this "state of mind","dream awareness" and "state awareness"? do you mean like in ADA or puffin's guide?

Just trying to learn from the pro's and your IMO certainly are!

I've been involved with many different personal growth and meditative practices for years. I'm unhappy with the results of traditional meditation and I'm looking into lucid dreaming as a path in and of itself.
Would you say that this success in lucid dreaming has brought with it enhanced self knowledge in any form?

Hahaha! I've been at it for three years and am only around the 140 mark (102 in my DJ). But I guess everybody is different.

Congrats Sensei - I'm very envious! I've only managed a few dozen very short lucids. I think I need to go back to basics, so will try again with Naiya's tutorial.

I had hoped that once I'd had a few lds it would click and I would get to LD more often but it's just not happened.... Any other words of advice?

Well done your definitely an inspiration for what's possible within a couple years,.. Have you been constant with your practice through the whole 2 years? And I notice mild is your main way to become lucid did it take you long to perfect your mild routine?

wow, 600 lds is a lot to count in 2 years. I guess I would have a lot of questions for research reasons to help others.

One is after 600 Lucid dreams, what did you mostly do with them all? And whats some of the most important things discovered, or interesting things that you have managed. I see you have 61 dream journal entries. which falls a bit short of 600. So I figured you don't write them all down (I rarely have recorded mine until recently this site). I think being such a natural lder. It would have benifits us all if you had logged everything. Not that I'm complaining , I'd still be really interested in your experiences in general and what type of Lucid dreams, and so forth.

P.S I see you have a sort of dream instruction guide there, that shows your opinion on getting Lucid. Though I'm more interested in your Lucids and their contents and the actual log of it. As that's a more comprehensive measure. I'm sorry to say it too but I would take your instruction guide with a bit of a grain of salt. When I look at your guide, what I see is a very different picture of Lucid dreaming than what I have of it. I mean it has some common sense in it, other parts of it, I'm not so sure that is good advice for newbies :/ You have a very direct...sort of approach.

I have less Lucid dreams than you, (rarely have 4 in a night!) though I consistently have around maybe 1 or 2 weekly....so over my lifetime I guess I have had hundreds, and I'm guilty of not recording them. Sometimes I will have a lot at once, other times its more quiet. Though I have come to some very different conclusions about all this than other people. Drastically different. If I was to write a guide on Lucid dreaming, it would be like 95% different to your approach on your guide. Just goes to show individual differences hey.
