why would you assume eyelashes are not necessary? Have you considered any scientific explanation as to why we have eyelashes? You might find out its the same reason we have eyebrows but no one is questioning them.
Truth is, if we didnt have eyelashes and eyebrows, our eyes would be covered in dust, bacteria, and random crap because they would lack protection.
Toe nails may not be required equipment now, but once again, have you made an effort to find out why we have toenails? My guess is no because you would know they are the evolutionary left overs of claws and im sure we can all think of some good reasons to have claws.

Since this is the discussion on the dream plane, lets ask some simple observational questions. What is the need for this dream plane? What supports the dream plane? What is this said dream plane made of? And even more interesting, what is the benefit humans gain from being able to access this dream plane?


Also. I forget to mention hair. It seems as if the assumption is being made that as soon as we dont need something in our biology it is cast off. Reason would require a precursor for all survival attributes. We have hair for insulation. We have only had clothing for a very short time and before that, there was HAIR.

Btw, something we really dont need is our pinky toe. And once again, we have it because we needed it in the past and it has stayed with us. Unless someone develops without a pinky toe and gains some advantage over others by that i dont think it will be going anywhere very soon.


These are the kind of questions that would reveal the 'secrets' of the dream plane to me since they are the same type of questions I would use to explain my physical surroundings. It would definitely be interesting to hear anyone's answers to those questions.

actually our pinky toe is critical for balance, you may be surprised but if your pinky toe was cut off, you would have to re-learn how to walk

only the first couple toes from the big toe are required for balance. If you lost your pinky toe you would obviously need to learn how to walk without it like someone without a finger or two but its definitely not necessary. Ill whip out my big dick of science if i need to

You assume i dont believe in the dream plane? After all it is quite a fringe idea in our modern society. Even though I hate to inflate your ego any bigger than it is, I personally believe there could be a dream plane; however I havent been there yet. I'll let you know what its like when I get there but until then I'll use the analytical tools at my brains disposal.

In the universe's infinite complication and simplicity, it seems that which gives a survival advantage is sought after. With this is mind, allow me to digress momentarily. It is said in some ancient traditions that exercising ones consciousness in the dream plane would essentially create an identity for themselves within the dream plane. In turn when one died, this consciousness built in our physical reality we call life would carry on beyond death. Those that werent fortunate to reach 'wholeness' would simply fade back into 'the everything' for lack of awareness beyond their physical form. So if this were true, the evolutionary advantage to the dream plane would be to provide a place for our consciousness to go even after death essentially providing for ultimate survival. And those that exercise their alternate consciousness truly would be the fittest survivors from this Earth.
I think this would be a somewhat sensible explanation, thoughts?

It takes a lot more than looking at things strictly about evolutionary advantage to truly understand most of what's out there.

I can answer. My theory is that slowly it will transform your waking life abilities, It will make you more psychic in waking life and more aware of the waking life dream.

Actually, you're wrong. It isn't survival that's sought after, it's reproduction. Once you've reproduced, it no longer matters whether you survive or not, because you've passed down your DNA to the next generation. (The best example of this is the female grasshopper that eats the male grasshopper after they mate - the male has served his purpose and passed down his genes, and the female needs the extra nutrition to allow the baby grasshoppers to develop. By not surviving, the male has gained an evolutionary advantage.) So, if you're looking for an evolutionary benefit of the dream plane, it has to fulfill at least one of three things:
1. Help you reproduce
2. Help you survive until reproduction
3. Be a byproduct of something that fulfills one of the first two conditions, without going against either of them
I think if the dream plane exists, it is a byproduct of sentience, which fulfills the first two conditions.

So we fight to survive in order to reproduce. We reproduce in order to ensure the survival of the species. While im sure the goal of that grasshopper, or male black widow, or male praying mantis was essentially reproduction, you also have to piece together the purpose of survival along an extended time line. Anyway, I do agree that our sentience has provided for our ability to access this particular part of our consciousness but I think that consciousness already existed before we evolved. The energy that makes of physical matter is connected through its basic properties. In this manner I think a dream plane could be formed through what Carl Jung called the collective unconscious. Or perhaps this world of energy existed before physical matter and our brains have the ability to percieve that it may exist and also connect with it.

To think of mankind as a giant anthill which doesn't know it is one is slightly disturbing.

Oh yeah, that's REALLY logical, a being from a different plane putting something on the Internet, which is in the physical plane. Unless they somehow gained access to the Internet in the dream plane, it makes no sense whatsoever. I really doubt they have Internet in the dream plane, but as Nomad says, "Everything is possible, nothing is true." No offense intended, just want to point out some of the things that make no sense to me.

This is really interesting, though you kind of lost me at Gawn and Nevergawn.
I'm still unsure about this whole dream sharing business, but I plan to try it out before making any assumptions.

Tell me this Nomad, why is a single government bad? It would mean the eradication of both war and prejudice; and would make trading etc. easier.
