    Non-Lucid Dreams

    1. Fragments

I can recall I was partially lucid creating this dream where me and Manei had been stranded on a life raft floating adrift for a week. But the weird part was that I was the director, and also the character. Like I was at two places in the same time. We came across this island and realized we were going to have to survive there until rescue came.
I can remember us taking all the supplies of the lifeboat and swimming to the island. There was a reef and we were going to have to abandon the boat.

I can recall some dream about my mom adopting this jaguar that came to live with us. It seemed pretty friendly for a wild cat, and let me pet it. It also seemed interested in swimming in this shallow pool outside of our house.
There was also something to do with with us moving to a log cabin up north.

There was some part about these rock crystals sprouting out of the ground next to our cabin, that had something to do with the people of earth disappearing.

There was a part of this dream where I was with K and I was telling her we had to leave for a remote area. Why? Because there was a nuclear power plant nearby and since everybody had vanished, there was nothing to stop it from melting down.
I can recall this connected to both of the other dreams in some way.

I woke up for a brief time.

I went back to directing the dream about the life boat. There was some aspect to it, it was like a survival show and the people had to dislike one another and not agree with their ideas to make the survival more interesting. Therefore it couldn't be Manei and I since we actually get along.
I repeated the scenario several times adding and removing characters from the life boat until it was about a couple of random, unrecognizable people.
The people had now been floating on the raft for three weeks. There were four DCs. Three male and a female, and they were now fighting over the last food. Somebody had been accused of eating all four rations of food while the others slept.

I seriously wonder what is up with my brain sometimes.

Some long and very dull dream about some activity night going on at my dorm room. Most of it already slipped through my memory anyway. Skip.

Spoiler for Proceed at your own risk:

I can recall in being what felt like my cousin's sub. I was walking down the street. I had become partially lucid.
      ...

My recall is more than a little patchy but I can recall at one point, I went inside of a house. The first room had a bunch of doors in it. There is also a bed and a dresser. A small piece of wallpaper peeled off from between two doors, entirely by itself.
The wallpaper then folded itself into a diaper. Parts of stretched out to become small legs and part of it ripped to become a mouth. Oh yeah, and because it was a diaper, it was full with crap that came out of nowhere. It had basically become this little monster thing that I wound up fighting.
The diaper had some connection to the house. Like the family that lived there had a baby and they made diapers out of wallpaper or something.
So we ended up having the worlds longest fight. I held the upper hand being... well a human and not a diaper. I can't recall the fight play-by-play but there was a part where I was whacking it with a big stick that I found under a bed that was in the room. There was a part where the diaper climbed onto the ceiling and tried to jump down on top of me.

There was even a part where I used firebending and the 'Fus roh dah' shout from Skyrim to blast it into a corner.
Eventually for whatever reason, the diaper monster became a squirrel. At this point I stopped fighting it and turned to walk back outside, only to find that the door that had led me into this random room led back out into my bedroom.
I looked outside. The weather was cold and grey. A rumble of thunder was heard in the distance. For whatever reason I decided I wanted to try flying. I opened the window, forced out the screen. I then did a last-minute stabilization by rubbing my hands together, and saying 'I'm dreaming!'
I then jumped out the window, and fell like a rock into the bush below my window.

Then I suddenly thought "What if this is real life, and I just jumped out of the window in real life?!" I did a nose pinch. I could breathe.
"Wait..." I said to myself. I forget what indicates being in a dream. Being able to breathe or not being able to breathe? Because I can most defiantly breathe." I then remember, being able to breathe means you are dreaming.
For a few moments I managed to anchor myself on the cold wind that was blowing in the dream. I start to become very lucid when I lose the dream.

FA in my college dorm room. I have peed in the bed. I get up and start changing out of my clothes.

FA in my home bedroom. I have peed in the bed here as well. I do a reality check and become lucid momentarily lucid before FAing once more.

FA. Something to do with the Simpsons of all things. Bart is buying these special schoolbooks that come with cereal. Supposedly these were supposed to help improve his grades because if you read the books while eating the cereal, you remember them better. Bart his happy because the cereal is dinosaur shapes.

I wake up into WL. Reality check and fortunately, I have not wet the bed.
    3. Kipo 581

by , 09-20-2014 at 02:54 PM (Lucid Time!)
Given I went to bed at 2:00am last night, I'm surprised I had any recall at all.

Anyways, I am with a group of astronomers, two I believe. I recall they are looking at this very large blue star in a nearby galaxy that they call Kipo 581.
There was something to do with them studying it. They were trying to prove that they could learn everything about it only using old fashioned astronomy techniques.
Something to do with them giving up on old astronomy techniques. They got in contact with NASA and launched a new telescope into orbit. The telescope was supposed to see if there were planets in orbit around the star.
    4. WTC Prevention Sim, Snow Day

by , 09-19-2014 at 12:51 PM (Lucid Time!)
I am taking part in a scientific study that looks at how to prevent another 9/11 type attack. They are researching building materials that can resist aircraft crashing into them.
The test takes place on a flat, tropical island that is mostly an open, grassy plain. There is a small base in one corner of the island and there are mock skyscraper frames, two of them nonetheless erected in the center.
And I am to pilot two defective military UAVs into the towers, one into each tower, just like 9/11. I remember it being like some sort of video game, where I was controlling the UAV in third person. On my first pass, I actually missed, so I came around and stalled the aircraft above the tower coming down on top. The test was still conclusive and the scientists said the material seemed strong enough. They wanted me to fly another aircraft into the other tower though.
I lined up the aircraft and gunned the engine full throttle wanting to put these materials to the test. I hit the tower hard enough that I managed to bend a few of the supports.
The scientist appreciated that I did the second test at a different speed. He said that he had gotten some good data.

FA. My roomie (we'll call him D) says there has been a snowstorm. Three inches of snow. All classes cancelled. I look out the window and see that he is correct.
I drive home from college on weekends, so I may as well drive home now. D says the storm is going to continue all the way to sunday. I tell him that If I don't leave now, conditions are only going to get worse. I get my keys and start to leave.
    5. Shark Slaying

by , 09-14-2014 at 01:46 PM (Lucid Time!)
I can't recall exactly the setup or motivations of the characters, but this is some kind of training or test to become an action hero. Today's lesson: blowing up a shark. Yes. A live one.
The setting is this lake. But there are these modular plastic platforms placed out on it that make a swimming pool like area. There is another smaller pool with a huge shark in it. The instructor, a middle aged man who's black hair I recall vividly for some reason, tells me to get in. He then gives me what I need for the mission. One Katana and one block of C4.
Then he releases the shark into the main pool and tells me to go. I take a deep breath and dive underwater. The shark has been starved so it swims straight toward me. I remember my training and that I am actually supposed to swim toward the shark and time it so that I go in without getting injured by the teeth.
I swim forward, very quickly and manage to shoot right into the shark's open mouth. The jaws close behind me and I am sucked down into the stomach. The stomach is a weird place. It's hot and there is actually an air pocket, but it doesn't seem like I can breathe the air. I still have the block of C4 in one hand. I feel for the button to arm it (it was dark in there. The only light was from an LED on the side of the explosive.) When I press the button I see 15 seconds come up on the screen.
Now for the hard part. I have to cut out of the shark. I remember in training when you do this, Ideally you want to do it from the side. I try to figure out based on how I am oriented what the side of the shark is. I cut through and see water starts coming in. Good, that means my blade went all the way to the outside. I make a wide cut, about 3 feet and then abandon the sword and squeeze through. This was by far the hardest part to do. But eventually I managed to push through back into the water.
There is a big cloud of blood in the water. But how often is it the shark's blood that makes the big cloud? When I think about it, the shark already looked dead at this point. I swim up to the surface gasping for breath.
After one deep breath- Ker-Blam goes the shark. A big plume of water shoots up behind me. I take a couple more breaths and the instructor says that I get a passing grade on this test. I ask the instructor about killing sharks. He tells me that the sharks are grown from clones and are mindless and cannot feel pain. This doesn't make me feel much better about it though.

I am now swimming in the lake outside of the pool area with a couple friends. The instructor is there too. He tells me about this skinny blonde kid who was his last student and actually died doing the shark test. Apparently he forgot the part about swimming toward the shark and getting past its teeth.
    6. LD #112: Pool with mean Politicians, Nightmare Invasion Movie

by , 09-13-2014 at 02:24 PM (Lucid Time!)
I recall some dream about my family staying at this very upscale hotel somewhere in England. The hotel has an odd mixture of very modern and very Victorian feel to it. I was at the swimming pool area, looking around when I decided that I wanted to go into the hot tub. I come over and in the hot tub was supposedly some very important female politician and two secret service agents who wore their sunglasses into the hot tup.
I started to get in, but she said I couldn't. It would cost me $15 for every minute I spent in the hot tub and asked if I had a deal. And I'm like forget that. I turn and leave before she charges me for breathing her air or something.
I am walking, planning on leaving the pool area and going back to my hotel room. Another lady politician who looks a little younger shows up. She tells me that she wants to give me a special deal. For one payment of $14.85, she will let me into the hot tub. But there is this whole other part of the deal like I have to strip down in the naked and go into the main swimming pool or something.
I leave very mad and say "Forget that!". I walk over to the far edge of the pool area, and start looking out the window. The hotel has this huge panoramic window on the pool that looks out over the city. I recall it being nighttime. Then another person that I remembered being a politician comes over. He says he is going to charge me $5 for looking out of his window.
I paused and started ranting about how these people are politicians and they are such Dbags, charging people to use things that are not even theirs.
I get halfway through my rant and become lucid... for some reason.
I immediately slip into drunken lucidity though. I begin hovering above the ground and float over to the hot tub. The first lady is still in it.
"Oh, did you change your mind?"
      "Yes."
I use telekinesis and lift both her and the secret service agents out of the hot tub. I look above and the pool room is actually several stories high. There are a couple of concrete support beams supporting the hotel. I place the three of them on the highest beam with no way to get down and cut the telekinesis.
"When you learn you lesson you can come down from there!"
I then get my cummupins and lose the dream.
I wake up and then fall back asleep.

Ahh that was good lucid revenge.

Some dream about watching documentary talking about how radioactive waste is handled in developing countries. They were talking about how they had to transport it on a dangerous railway through the mountains and used these special weighted train cars that were less likely to tip over.
The doccumentary shows people loading the waste by hand into the train cars. The waste is stored in these large lozenge shaped steel canisters that look a little bit like atomic bombs. Each one is about the size of a person. It takes two people to lift one though. The strange thing is that they are just throwing them into the car.
I then see the train leave the back of the power plant. I notice how wobbly it is on the rails and recall how the cars are weighted on the bottom, so even if they wobble they won't fall over.
The documentary cuts to the actual disposal site. It is in a river. People here dispose of the canisters by hand. Everyone here is strong enough to lift one canister by themselves and they wear full sacks of rice over their bodies to absorb the radiation. They carry them about a quarter mile from the train station to the river, the best people can do it without stopping for a rest. The canisters are put into the river that is later covered with soil and then the river is redirected so that the canisters don't pollute the world with their radioactivity.
They are showing footage of the canisters being lined up in a pile in the river when something truly horrific happens. One of the men begins bleeding horribly, spraying more blood than should have been in his body everywhere from a large wound on his back. Everyone runs screaming and fearful. A similar occurrence happens to several more people. Everybody is thrown into a panic. A few people take out guns and begin firing. The river runs red with blood.
I can recall the people on the documentary focus in on this one woman. I think she was part of the crew filming the documentary. A man with a gun makes her kneel down and then shoots her in the head over and over. At this point, I decide to 'turn off' the documentary.
      ...
Something to do with Clover, or a similar looking monster attacking in England. I think it was the same city that the hotel from the first dream was in.
      ...
Some other stuff happened that I cannot recall. The world is falling into chaos. The shooting at the nuclear waste site and the clover monster were connected to it somehow.
      ...
I recall being at my grandparent's house.
      ...

I am walking with someone late at night. Somehow all of the dreams that I just had were connected. They had to do with the world gradually falling into chaos and darkness.
I think the person I was walking with was Manei. I felt her energy even though I was nonlucid.
I recall seeing someone had hung three dreamcatchers from a chain-link fence. I saw one of them was smoldering. When I looked closer, I saw that the ring had broken and the net inside of it was partially gone.

Do you think during a lucid dream?-broken-dreamcatcher.jpg
At first me and the other dream character were a bit confused and then we suddenly got it. The things that were attacking earth and causing all of the chaos were actually people's nightmares! I turned and looked at a nearby house. I think to myself that if these people will let me sleep in a bed I can have a lucid dream and somehow fighting back.
It was also at this point that I realized that I was actually the main character in some movie that was about how lucid dreamers fought nightmares that were attacking earth. It was a confusing system.
So basically what I had to do was sleep, have a lucid dream and then 'come back' to 'WL' earth while still in the dream. I could then see and fight the nightmares much more clearly. I run into the house and tell the people my crazy plan. The people in the house are a middle aged man and a woman. The man is actually a centaur.

      I wake up.

    8. Wrong Story

by , 09-11-2014 at 03:01 PM (Lucid Time!)
This is a big mish-mash of stuff from the last couple days. I've been caught up with college.

I am at S's house. But it feels more like my grandmother's house mashed with some completely unfamiliar elements. S is having a birthday party, and has invited only me and seven or eight very attractive girls.

S is in his room all alone, and the girls are doing shots (and drunk as all heck). The invite me to try and drink the most, and give me a big glass of tequila. I take it, and when nobody is looking, pour it out the open window.
S calls us into his bedroom, that looks more like a hotel room with two beds. He sits everyone down and we start playing apples to apples.

My extended family (so a lot of people) are being taken to a very upscale movie theater by my cousin to see Divergent. We get there and the movie starts by explaining the post-apocalyptic setting. But then it begins to deviate from the plot some.
Man, why does this always happen? A dream glitch occurs and I become a character the movie.
So it turns out this isn't Divergent, but rather some other movie. The plot is as follows, and it's complicated.
Meteorites containing an unknown alien element come crashing to earth. There are just a few at first, but slowly more and more of them begin to arrive. When the meteorites impact they create what are known as psychic wormholes. These are portals intertwining the planets of the inner solar system (that have also been hit by these meteorites) as well as the distant origin star system. The portals can effect a human's consciousness by hypnotizing them to walk into the portal, turning them into a zombie, or just trying to kill them.
Humanity built anti-oribtal laser cannons to combat the meteorites and prevent the portals from covering too much of the earth's surface. Although a large percentage of the earth is already under the influence of these portals, there are small zones where the remaining humans live that are free from the psychic effects of the portals.
Occasionally scientists and others go outside of the safe zones to study the portals and look for ways to destroy them. But only people with what's known as a 'psychic resistance' can leave the safe zones and study the portals.
I can remember that I am one of the people that is going outside the safe zone. I am waiting in a field alongside others. Some people are saying goodbye to their families and hugging one another and what not, because of the people turned into zombies, going near the portals is dangerous.
My character is however, an orphan. I have nobody to say goodbye to.
While I am waiting in the field, I notice the surroundings. I recall there being a huge concrete pedestal in the field with a telescope observatory dome on top of it. But rather than a telescope there is this huge steel cone with prongs on the end of it. There is a red conduit going up the side. I think to myself that is probably one of the anti-orbital lasers.
A small boat pulls up in a lake by the field, and people start getting on. That is the boat that take us outside the safe zone. I take note of how cramped the boat looks but then remember that the ride is not very long. I get on-board.
It was at this point that I met a character called The Marshall. He was this huge, brawny man who wore a cowboy hat and motorcycle goggles. He divided everyone up into groups, each one of us was to investigate one portal. They needed as many people as possible for these missions so anyone with psychic resistance had to come.
My group wound up being with a very young, brown haired boy, probably six or seven. An elderly woman, at least 70. And a woman with short black hair who was probably in her 20's. She looked like as though she was very experienced with going outside of the safe zones.
I can remember the Marshall passes out a printed test to everyone to make sure that they have the psychic resistance that he needs.
      ...
The dream skips ahead to my group walking through the streets of an overgrown city. The black-haired woman has a detector used for locating the exact location of the wormhole. The old woman, who was around before the meteors struck, knows this city because she used to live in this town.
We end up finding the wormhole on the floor of an abandoned Cafe. It is a small blue energy vortex bound onto the floor, perhaps a foot in diameter. It seems to distort the tiles around it, making them appear to twist with it.

I walk into the cafe, through the broken front wall, and the black haired girl tells me not to go too close. Even though I have psychic resistance, I can still hear the wormhole calling to me, telling me to jump in. I decide to give in to it, even though I could easily fight off the desire.
I can remember walking over to the spot on the floor. I look up at the ceiling and see a small hole, no bigger than a baseball with sunlight streaming though and think about the meteor falling through it. I then jump into the portal.
      ...

I am high above the earth's atmosphere. The moon is huge and very close to earth. Mars is smaller and visible on above the moon. I start falling toward the earth and burning up in the atmosphere.
      ...

I am standing in what feels like the entrance to an ancient city. There are roman-styled buildings made out of a white crystal all around. They appear crumbled and in a state of disrepair but are still beautiful. There are cherry blossom trees everywhere, and the air is thick with flower petals. There are so many petals that they form a thin layer, perhaps an inch thick on the ground.
Hands break through the thick mat of petals and grab me around the ankles, and start pulling me in. It feels like the petals are much deeper now, and the scent of them is overwhelming. I struggle and scream but it is muffled.
I start to become lucid. I wake up.

I am at my university. I am walking around and come across this very odd dorm building that looks like a motel. It is supposed to have really fancy dorms but looks very junky and beat-up.
      ...

I am having a fight with somebody. We both have mild superpowers. I can recall we are fighting in the parking lot. I pick up a small white car and try to throw it at him.
I recall very vivid imagery as the car skids down the parking lot hitting another car and then my opponent. I can remember hearing one of the car's alarms going off.
      ...
I then tried to chase the opponent who as acting like he didn't want to fight anymore.

    9. And in that lies the problem...

by , 09-09-2014 at 12:34 PM (Lucid Time!)
Never thought I would feel so accomplished after having a couple of sloppy dream fragments. But I figured out something that's been bothering me for a very long time.

I recall one dream. I am living on my own in a very hermit-like way. I live in a small prefab home by the freeway and have become in some way obsessed with lucid dreaming. I can recall that for some reason, the entire home is filled with dreamcatchers.
The thing I remember was that some young girl, perhaps 14 showed up. I told her to go away, and that she couldn't gain anything from coming to where I lived. She said she would leave, but she asked me to read this note she had been given first. I open the envelope. The note is actually typed into a very nice greeting card.

*The part that I typed randomly I couldn't make out. I was just trying to match what I recall the note looking like. One line that went across and another below it with just a couple of words.

      Spoiler for Girl's Note:

For some reason, the girls not tipped me off to something, like I could trust her. I let her come inside my trailer home (that was a mess) and she and I made lunch and started talking about various things. Cannot recall what.

One thing I forgot to mention before; but by the power of editing I bring it to you.
The girl made macaroni and cheese and we were eating it on paper plates. But it was not a normal portion. The entirety of both paper plates was covered all the way to the top like a cone; macaroni and cheese. (So a lot.) and we were eating it with these huge spoons.
      ...
I am at the beach. But the dream is very unstable and I feel like there is no sea, just sand. My family is there but I leave them to go alone. I begin walking along the beach seeing the sea phase in and out of existence, being replaced by a sandy flat. I feel somewhat depressed.
At some point or another the sea comes back but it doesn't look right. There are huge, turbulent waves and the sea doesn't go to the horizon, it only runs out a few hundred feet then becomes a sandy flat stretching to the horizon. There are also boulders jutting out of the water. Some people on the beach are trying to swim in the sea but it didn't look like very much fun, given the big waves and all.
I began talking with a dream character who was another lucid dreamer. Supposedly a really good one. We talked for a long time, but I can't recall any of our diolouge.
I just recall this one line from our conversation. It was something I said while nonlucid.

"...I don't know... Lucidity is just so hard to get."

At that moment, I stopped and started to question my reality, but before I could get very far I was awake.
      ...
      I went back to bed.

I recall a couple more dreams, but they were mind-numbingly boring. There was a dream where I rode my bike onto someone's lawn and they got all mad with me and made me pay for it by vacuuming their living room.

There was another dream about my college where I was carrying a huge load of stuff out to my car.

But I want to talk about something, that last line I said while talking to that other lucid dreamer.

"...I don't know... Lucidity is just so hard to get."

When I woke up, I asked myself why on earth would I say something like that to another LDer? If I were talking to someone IWL, I wouldn't say lucidity is hard to get, I would probably say something more like:

"Lucidity is easy! Just use autosuggestion and do some RC's"

It didn't take me long to figure it out. There is some type of conflict here. Consciously, I believe that lucid dreaming is easy, but Subconsciously, I have been disillusioned into believing that it is hard. (By who or what, IDK)
But now comes my question? How do i speak to my subconscious about this? (Especially if you can't access it through a lucid dream reliably.) It's sort of like a catch 22. I need to talk to my subconscious but I can't talk to my subconscious because my subconscious won't let me.
It's like trying to call the phone company because your calls aren't going through.

by , 09-08-2014 at 12:54 PM (Lucid Time!)
Rather boring in comparison to the last couple nights. I am with a big group of people playing this game where you have to pass a small wooden board around. The dream went on for some time, but was very uninteresting. I did get mildly lucid toward the end of the dream.

...Disappointing really considering the amount of effort that went in yesterday.

    11. LD #111: Lucid Fragment

by , 09-07-2014 at 02:08 PM (Lucid Time!)
I hardly recall anything. I was with... er whatever the heck this thing was. I thought it better to draw it rather than try and explain it.
      Semi-Lucid Dream experience-dream-golem.jpg
It was a strange creature. It's body looked as hard as stone, but it was still able to move and flex in a bubbly, cartoonish way. It was leading me through what felt like a city, though some of the buildings were floating, and the sky was black. The place was very blurry and everything looked to be a bluish-grey color.
The creature spoke, though it had no mouth. It had a disc where it's head should have been with three 'eyes'. The disc was always rotating slowly clockwise. And the five colored circles going up its body seemed to glow. On a final note, the creature was not very large. Perhaps three or four feet tall.

I woke up not remembering much. My lucidity was not very clear.

I was on a date with some girl. She asked me to order her five foot-long hotdogs with mustard from a nearby hotdog stand.
    12. Not lucid, but epic mecha war

by , 09-06-2014 at 02:02 PM (Lucid Time!)
I really had the cards stacked for a lucid last night. Went to bed at 9:30, attempted 3 WBTBs, all of them failures, and lets not forget the brute force autosuggestion.

I can recall some dream where I in photoshop was retouching a photo of some beautiful woman standing on the beach at sunset.

I can recall that there had been a house developed in the soccer feild by the middle school. I later discovered that, In fact there were a couple of small buildings homes connected by a dirt path. I was walking around them looking for my bike or something.
I thought that the houses were abandoned, or waiting to be bought, but I eventually I found that there was a big group of people having a party inside one of the houses. A few of them came outside and nagged me about being on their property.

But by far the best of what I can recall was a dream about a post-apocalyptic world. Me, A and some of my other friends were a part of a mech fighting corps. In this corps, there were squads of 5-10 pilots. Missions were often very difficult so an entire squad was needed. Also, every squad had a matching emblem and a unique coloration to their squad.
Our squad, I think had a skull and crossbones emblem, and we all used an ice-blue digital camo best suited to missions in arctic. In fact, I think our squad had a reputation for our effectiveness in tundra and arctic missions.
We geared up for our mission in a huge hangar bay. My mech was actually out for repairs, after having taken heavy damage on our last mission. A was injured and unable to pilot his. so I had to pilot A's mech. Our squad was deployed to a foggy mountain valley area, and from what I can recall it was only me and S, piloting his own mech. S was also the commander of our squad.
I think that our last mission had involved heavy losses on the part of the squad, many of our members had been killed and/or had their mechs destroyed. But the nation we were working for was deploying the two of us out of desperation.
I can recall our mechs walked for some time. A's mech that I was piloting was a medium weight design that could 'run'. It had huge missile racks on either side and two machine guns for back up. I can recall the machine guns were designed for long missions and had a large ammo stockades mounted on them. I was grumbling a little about the design choices in his mech, having been more used to my own custom design.
We arrived at the rendezvous point. My view went into a 3rd person chase cam, like I was playing a video game. We were in a mountainous region with huge boulders and steep cliffs creating a maze of passages. There were rivers in the canyons, but they were shallow enough that our mechs could easily traverse them. It was foggy and visibility was low.
Our mission is to defend a vital communication outpost from enemy forces. The outpost is a huge satellite dish based atop one of the mountains. There is also a large derelict concrete pyramid that used to function as a base and and had room for a single mech inside. I had 'flashbacks' to the early days of the war. Before entire squads of mechs were common. I had been one of the very first pilots, and I had been stationed at that pyramid structure.
S went inside of it and explained that the concrete channeled his radar and he would be able to easily pick up incoming enemies.
"You got two scouts coming from the east!"
      "We just got here!"
I turn. The enemy has very simplistic mechs. I get the feeling their technology must not be as advanced as ours. I open fire, testing the weapon systems on A's mech. I make a note that the rocket pods do not carry much ammunition. Their armor sucks too, I tear them both apart with a few good hits.
S calls out more enemies coming from another direction. I turn and see what I 'remember' being called accelerator tanks. They are large four wheeled vechiles with their wheels on long struts that can bend and compress thanks to springs and joints. They are designed to go fast, even in rugged environments like this. They do not however have very powerful weapons or thick armor. I dispatch them rather easily as well.
S calls out more enemies. I turn back the way the first group came and see both enemy mechs and more accelerator tanks. I unleash a hail of missiles thinking this is their main force and take them down just as they come over a nearby hill.
      "Uh... we've got a problem..."
I turn and look. Cresting a hill nearby are about three dozen enemy mechs and several more accelerator tanks. They open fire. I run behind the pyramid and S backs out of the hangar bay. His mech has some type of mortar weapon. Using the pyramid for cover, we are able to hold our own. The enemy is advancing on us, but just as it looks like we are about to turn the tide, there is a blinding flash of light and a huge explosion, knocking my mech over.
I turn to see where S's mech once stood there is now just a pair of mechanical legs with burning stump atop them. A glowing plasma trail highlights the air. I follow it to see an advanced enemy mech, a huge six legged beast, painted all black with a massive rail gun mounted on top.
My mech gets up and the rail gun resets and prepares to kill me. I'm already pinned by the enemy squad we were fighting, and am pretty much doomed to die by the hands of this enemy.
Just as he is about to fire, an artillery round strikes him, causing him to miss. An allied squad of 8 or 9 custom mechs from our nation enters the fray. This squad has a red and orange camo and uses a yellow falcon with a gun in it's talons as their emblem. This is another squad, one that I 'remembered' being very famous. The commander of the comes on the radio, who I think was a female, and asks if I could use a hand with these guys. Of course, I say yes.
What followed was a full on battle. Now I'll admit that the dream up until this point was pretty cool. But a 10v100 battle in ten story combat mechs. What could be cooler?! The battle was insane, and this red squadron is really good. Some of their mechs have these advanced laser weapons that are cleaving the enemy mechs in half and cutting their legs off and such. I am more than holding my own though, using the machine guns to take out as many as I can. I think I may have started to get too overly excited after awhile. I can remember the dream fading out to a chaotic crossfire of machine guns, rockets and lasers.

    13. Kung Fu Movie, LD #110: Vveven

by , 09-05-2014 at 01:15 PM (Lucid Time!)
I'm putting these dreams in out of order because I like to put lucid dreams last. I actually had the lucid dream at around 1:30 in the morning, and this non-lucid upon awakening.

So I am in/watching a Kung-Fu movie. The dream is periodically glitching between having the main character be autonomous and it being me. That said the main character looks a little like Bruce Lee crossed with my typical dream self. (Bicolored eyes and goggles).
Anyways, I remember talking to a sensei (Not the person from DV, just a typical sensei character in a kung fu movie.) He was glitching too. He sometimes looked like the typical sensei character with long white hair and a beard. But at other points he looked like this very fat rat type creature.
Anyways, apparently my character had disowned many teachers before this one for various reasons and was happy that he had found one that conformed best to his teaching style.
Back to watching it. We were training together, both of us standing on the rocks in the middle of a huge rushing river, doing synchronized movements. There are huge mountains off in the distance.

There is a part in the movie where this boy and my WL parents came to visit us. The boy was supposedly six despite being about 5'10" and 200 pounds. He had some kind of growth disorder. Also, at this point we were training on a tropical beach.

Now the climax of the story. The character that I am supposed to defeat is this demon. It kind of looks like the golem that appeared in that dream a couple nights ago, and has red vines wrapped around its body, and is made of dark stone pieces. But this one is much smaller, like 10-12 feet tall.
Also we were fighting in a very strange location, some kind of birthday party for one of the secondary characters. Nobody ran away from the party. They all made a big circle around the two of us and started taking pictures/video with their phones.
I think this was actually my second time fighting him. The first time, my character had lost, horribly. He had bloody bandages all over his body from where the vines had hit him during the first battle, and the atmosphere just felt like that of a rematch.
I am watching once more. The character then closes his eyes and begins 'feeling' where all the vines are going to come from. He then strikes them and knocks them away. Some of them even rip apart and become unusable. It was a remarkably exciting scene and there was some epic Chinese drum music playing while it was happening. He eventually runs at the golem and begins fighting it directly.

Very odd way of the dream starting. I start to feel someone rubbing my feet and the dream begins to materialize with that.
So for some reason the dream has decided to materialize like so: I am in a huge mall or food court where there are a ton of people of all different ages, races, ethnicity, etc. There is no more seating available because of the crowd, so we are now sitting propped against the wall.

And Manei is there, rubbing my feet. Okay, I officially have the weirdest dream guide possible to think: I want the dream to start with me rubbing his feet in some random public place and then we can start talking.
So lucidity comes on after like ten whole minutes and some very strange dream glitches occur that I can't recall now.
I turn to her and ask this, knowing that I will get an interesting response.
"Your hands are so soft! What do you use?"
      "Tomato Juice!"
"You took a bath in tomato juice?"
      "Yeah!"
      I pause for a moment.
"Okay, time to do one of the lucid tasks, if I can remember it..."
I try to recall a lucid task. I recall what I think was one of the old ones, to ask a dream character to tell you a word in another language and it's meaning.
"Tell me a word in your language and it's meaning."
"Okay... Vveven! It means god is above. God is love. I love god."
      "You know I'm atheist... right?"
"I know. I'm telling you the word. Not what to believe."
Can I get wings for this?
I get up and indicate that she could follow if she wants to. I want to leave the crowded area.

Then there is a strange dream glitch. I become nonlucid and see this game set up to be played in the middle of the public place. The game is called 'F**k off, Rabbit!" and you play it with a pack of colored markers and all of these different coloring pages. I don't know how, but it has something to do with the drawing of a rabbit is hidden in each of the coloring pages, and the game is supposed to be very hard.

I am lucid one more, and still walking out of the place. I look around to find Manei and see her melting into the crowd. Okay, not following. I get outside where there is a vast, clear twilight sky. The dream slowly shifts from the exterior of the mall to my own neighborhood.
Although the sun is setting in my neighborhood, it feels more like the wee hours of the morning. The moon is rising where the sun should be. The moon also looks huge.
It is cold. It must be spring or fall. Not horribly cold, but quite brisk none the less.
I get about halfway down the street and stop. Someone drives past me in a sliver car and looks at me strange.
      Time to do some flying.
I put my hands down to my side, and project my energy out, the way I always fly.
Nothing seems to be happening. I can feel my weight starting to come off of my legs.
I then tried to Jump to start the flying up. I jumped up and floated in the air for a second. Tried projecting out of my hands and felt the flying 'catch' and I was off. I also remember seeing my shadow on the pavement. I think this is the first time I have ever noticed a shadow during a dream.
I said something like 'Heck Yeah!' and flew over the tops of some houses. I went above the woods behind my sub and turned to look back at it. I was thinking that I might try to fly into outer space.
Now, a foot massage: weird. A tomato juice bath: weird. But this takes the cake. I turn around to see it and the dream freezes. I lose a ton of clarity and the the image of my neighborhood from above is frozen in front of me. But the strange thing is, my neighborhood is not there at all. Just a blurry black void surrounded by trees.
The image of my neighborhood pulls back. It becomes evident that it is like a large photograph printed on a sheet of paper. I am now hovering in an empty black void, because the visual of the world has been compressed into this picture. Then, the photograph folds all origami up into a face. I am not kidding, and becomes a floating head that starts talking to me. The dream was literally talking to me.
"Hey, Woah!, Sorry! I don't know what your sub looks like from above."
      "Sorry."
"Not your fault. I was the one who didn't know what it looked like."

The dream glitches agian. I am looking at this space station in orbit above earth. Apparently the moon was so huge in that dream because it was falling to earth and about to impact it, and that space station was supposed to monitor the event as it happened.
I can recall the space station having this strange glass pod one one side that I was very focused on for some reason. It looked like some kind of escape pod.

It was at this point that I realized that I was still dreaming and woke myself up because I wanted to make sure that I recalled the lucid dream.

Oh, sure. My subconcious can't show me what my sub looks like when I fly above it, but it sure loves to show me what the moon looks like impacting earth and designing these random space stations.

    14. Freaky Fragment

by , 09-05-2014 at 02:46 AM (Lucid Time!)
Well this shows you what college is doing to me. I came back after my English class around 5:00 today and sat down on the bed. 10 minutes later, I was zonked and started to doze off. There were a couple of wispy dreams that I tried to grab on to, but couldn't.

Upon being woken up by my roommate at around nine, I only recalled one fragment.
There were three black figures against a bluish background. Each one has glowing white eyes. The figure on the left is closest to me, and the figure on the right is farther away. The middle one looked to be a little like Manei with the hair and shape of the face, and I could feel her energy, though vaguely. I think the figure on the right has spiked hair.

      WBTB time!

    15. Pokemon and Minecraft

by , 09-03-2014 at 04:36 PM (Lucid Time!)
Still no good lucidity, but having some nice NLD's to know my recall is still decent.

I normally don't like to dream about video games I play or have played, and in recent months, I've been playing fewer and fewer for the sake of lucid dreaming. But they still come back to haunt me sometimes.
At the very least they are interesting dreams about video games.

I am having a Pokemon battle with another trainer. We were in a forest type setting and the sky is dark with storm clouds swirling around us and the occasional lightning strike occurring. The dream was actually quite vivid, the pokemon looked about as realistic as they could.
The battle is taking place in 'real life' but there are these holographic windows appearing above our Pokemon showing what level they are and their HP, looking like the ones from the old Gameboy games.
Anyways, I have a Bulbasaur, Level 5. I think it was, and the trainer that I am fighting was a boy who kind of looked like Ash from the show, and has a Zigzagoon, Level 4. (So these were some old Pokemon from when I was a boy.) We are fighting just like in the game, single turn moves. It feels like we are just starting out. Both of our pokemon seem to have a lot of health because I neither of us are taking out very much HP.
The battle drags on for quite awhile. I repeatedly tell my Bulbasaur to use Razor Leaf, but because of the fierce winds, and the fact that it is a low-level pokemon, it has a hard time aming and most of the leaves fly past. I think one of them hit the trainer I was fighting by accident.

... I am at the end of the 'Game' now in Pokemon. This part of the dream was considerably less vivid. I have a team of six high level Pokemon, including a Garydos and my Bulbasaur is now a Venusaur and the most important member of my team. For some reason I am letting the Garydos go back and live in the sea. The area I am in has these really dramatic cliffs and rock pillars jutting out of the sea and there is supposedly some shortcut that will take me back to the first town in the game so that I can go home.
My Garydos takes one last look at me and then dives into the sea. I think that I was letting it go because it had always been wild at heart, and didn't really enjoy fighting for me. And since I had beaten the masters, I had no need to keep it anymore.
The Venusaur who I guess in the group had a rivalry with my Garydos is out of his pokeball to say goodbye to his friend/enemy. Afterwards, without returning my Venusaur, I start walking towards a cave that I think is the shortcut back to my home. The Venusaur followed me.

I was in the world of Minecraft, and some really epic storyline was playing out about a lost civilization. I can recall that there was this huge canyon, hundreds of blocks deep, beyond the capabilities of rendering in standard Minecraft, with wooden structures into it. The structures looked to have been greifed with big holes in the sides of buildings and then overgrown with vines and trees.
I attempted to jump down, in steps, making safe drops and allowing my health to regenerate before jumping even lower, but after walking off onto one of the structures, the wooden planks broke where I landed, and I continued falling faster through all of the floors of the structure taking small amounts of damage each time I hit something and broke it.
After falling for like a whole minute, I finally made it to the bottom of the canyon and died.
I re-spawned and was really high above this big flat area made out of some unrecognizable red block. There was no way down, just small platforms and what not to break my fall. I jump off here onto the first wooden platform and fell through, landing on a stone one below it. I had only 1/2 heart of health left. Somebody else is there who is playing on the server, but somehow their minecraft avatar looks like a real person. They tell me that this is a challenge that they set up on their server.

I am with K's brother at some seafood place by a small lake in the mountains. He and I are going on some kind of cross-country vacation in this crappy green station wagon that's filled with all our luggage.
