Music Defines Reality + Sleep Paralysis (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I become lucid after some weird episode of talking to my friend's GPS. It is a very low level of lucidity.

I'm walking down the road, convinced that it is important to go home right now. As I'm walking, I look behind me and see a woman walking a little girl on a leash. It becomes apparent that the little girl is a zombie. They are pretty far off, so I figure I am not in any danger.

Suddenly, suspenseful music begins to play. It's really creepy, and I look behind me to see the zombie girl growing closer. I keep walking. Now, the music is growing in intensity, and I hear rapid footsteps behind me.

I fly into the air, figuring I'll be safe up here. I'm wrong. I turn to see the zombie in the air with me. She tears into my arm, ripping the flesh away to reveal blood and muscle and bone. It is incredibly painful.

This somehow triggers me to become stuck in sleep paralysis. I am now lying in what feels like my floor, unable to move. This horrible sensation is now shooting through my leg. It isn't pain, but it is uncomfortable enough to be just as bad, if not worse, than pain. I would have been writhing and screaming in agony if I could actually move.

After this passes, a rather unpleasant woman in her mid 40's begins molesting me. Again, as I am unable to move, there is nothing I can do about this. This goes on for quite a while until
I have a false awakening. I sit up in bed thinking it's over. As soon as I sit up, my vision goes fuzzy and I see weird shapes floating all around me. I can't get a grip on what's happening, and soon fall back over into sleep paralysis.

I am sick of being paralyzed. I consider turning this into a lucid dream, but I worry that I'll just have more chains of false awakenings and sleep paralysis issues.

At this point, I manage to open my real eyes, still unable to move. It is already morning according to the level of light. I struggle to keep my eyes open, but I manage to focus on my colorful bedspread
until I finally jolt awake for real.

      Chase of Fools (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Early one morning, I hear the school bus go by and I realize I've missed it. ((What I fail to realize is that I graduated high school nearly a year ago...)) I run outside and see that I will never catch up on foot. I guess I'll have to drive.

My neighbor Melissa has also missed the bus, so I decide to give her a ride as well. After I turn off my street, we are on a road that should lead straight to the school. Instead, we end up in some weird complex.

No longer in the car, we are walking on foot through the complex.
I become lucid, because missing the bus and then getting lost is a common dream sign of mine. I decide that all I really want to do for this dream is to explore.

The complex is basically made up of short walls surrounded by a barbed wire fence. There are three sections to the complex, each one taller than the previous. As we are walking through this rather boring place, a tall naked man with deathly white skin and no face comes up behind us. He is angry that we are in his complex. He clearly wants us dead.

I am in no mood for a chase, so I figure that if we just get out of the complex, he'll go away. With a combination of flying and climbing, I make it out and head into the town. Unfortunately, the creepy guy is still following.

I decide to just ignore him out of existance. The only problem is, everyone I come across intentionally says something to remind me of him, so he continues to chase me.

I lose lucidity somewhere along the line when I have a false awakening. I make it back to my house, where I find horrifying sigils drawn everywhere. I recognize the sigils as a sign of an incredibly evil demon lady who has apparently tormented me in the past. I am trying to figure out how to get rid of her again when I wake up.

      Coughing up Roaches (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I am in a classroom at my old high school with two annoying kids who were freshman back when I was a senior. I take a nap, and when I wake up the entire school has undergone some kind of demonic shift.

My first sign that something is terribly wrong is when I begin coughing up roaches. I am coughing and hacking, with huge live roaches spilling out onto the floor. One of them crawls out of my mouth and scurries up my face to hide in my hair. I am disgusted, but not quite as disturbed as I should be.

Some time passes and I am deep within the belly of the school, in a dungeon-like area filled with row upon row of drying racks. On the racks are the decaying corpses of goblins. I am travelling with a live goblin, and I feel sorry that he has to see all of this. The ceiling is very low, so we are walking hunched over.

We make our way through the seemingly endless expanse of dead goblins, when the ceiling begins to collapse. We quickly evade the falling rubble until we come to an area where the ceiling is a bit higher. There are still rows and rows of drying racks in this area, but at least we don't have to hunch forward to walk anymore. Unfortunately, there are also Giants guarding this section. I imagine that they are on high alert due to the collapsing ceiling, so we flee the area as quickly and quietly as possible.

Along the way, these red bamboo creatures called "Rod Foxes" begin chasing us. I lose my goblin companion, but I make it out of the drying rack area and hide from the Rod Foxes in a classroom. There are a few students in there who are former classmates of mine. One of them looks out the door and says that a teacher is coming. This is a problem, because all of the teachers have become demonized. My classmate says that if we just do as we're told, he won't hurt us.

The teacher enters the room and tells us to sit in alphabetical order. We comply immediately. He then slams a putrid goblin head onto my desk and says that I must eat it, because it's "tea time."

I refuse to eat the goblin head and end up slashing the teacher's throat with dual knives. (Not sure how I acquired these.)

More time passes and my cockroach problem has gotten worse. I can't stop coughing, and the roaches are crawling out of me at an alarming rate.

Somehow I manage to stop coughing. There is a painting of a castle on a nearby wall, and I
become lucid while admiring it. I decide that I will go into the painting and explore the castle. I manage to get into the painting, but the night is so dark that I can barely see.

      I wake up shortly afterward.

      Fat Demon (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I have travelled back through time to the year 2008. I am going to my grandma's house. I'm really excited, even though it is a very important mission, because this should mean that I will get to see my grandfather again.

Outside the house, there is some scene involving a cat that seems important, but I cannot remember it.

Weird things are going on in the house. My grandfather is already dead, which doesn't make sense since he died in 2011. My grandma has a shrine for him built in the living room. I am stressing out, trying to figure out what's going on.

After examining the signs, I realize I have seen this situation before. A certain type of fat demon is causing this. All I have to do is kill him and things should go back to normal.

More weird things happen, and I remember becoming lucid. I go along with the plot of the dream for a while longer (though I can't remember any of it! I just remember being lucid for a really long time in a huge market like area). Eventually I decide to try to complete by goal of finding out the name of a girl that my friend drew. Crazy things are still happening all around me, and I'm wondering how I can focus on summoning her while I'm being chased by whatever it is.

((This was a really long dream. I wish I hadn't forgotten all the important parts.))

    5. Accidental WILD

      by , 03-22-2013 at 01:33 PM (Death's Other Kingdom)
I had so many dreams that they're all jumbled up in my head. I feel like I'm forgetting something important about an ancient temple and a quest I had to go on....

      03.22.2013
      A "Wild" Roll (WILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I wake up breifly because my roommate is up doing homework. I roll from my side to my back (my eyes are forced closed because of the sleep mask I'm wearing.) I'm wondering how much time I have left to sleep, when I realize that I'm suddenly caught up in Sleep Paralysis.

"This will be the first WILD I've had in ages," I think to myself. I ignore the almost painful vibrations tearing through my head and focus on trying to roll off the side of the bed. After a few moments, I accomplish this. My roommate is staring at me in concern. "Did you just fall out of the bed?" she asks.

"Don't worry about that," I say happily, doing a reality check just to be sure. "I've got tons of stuff to do and not much time to do it." Without answering her questions, I run out of the room.

I am expecting to see the hallway, so it surprises me when I'm suddenly in my Grandma's house. Doesn't really matter where I am, I decide, just as long as I get... whatever it is I'm supposed to do, done. What am I supposed to do again?

I notice that it's dark outside, and I figure that I'll be able to think more clearly if it's lighter.

Before I can even attempt any of this, I wake up again. I lie motionless and try to turn it into a DEILD. I am successful, but I remember absolutely nothing about the following dream, other than it was lighter than the first.

      03.22.2013
      Too Many Fleas (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I am sitting in my old back yard when I notice that my cat (who is supposed to be living with my friend now) is accross the yard. She comes running when I call to her. I am kind of irritated that my friend would just let her wander off like this, when she is supposed to stay inside.

I pet her and THOUSANDS of fleas begin leaping around through her fur. I am alarmed and disgusted. "Don't worry, I'm going to fix this," I tell her.

My mom refuses to let her in the house, but she tells me where I can buy some good flea medicine for "only" $50. I look out the window and see Sadie playing with two of my cat's who have been dead for years. I think that my old cats will look after her and she'll be safe.

      03.22.2013
      Mighty Yell (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I am in my closet, looking for something specific. In the background, I can hear my mom calling me. "What is it?" I call out. She just calls my name again. This repeats several times, much to my irritation. Why does she insist on yelling to me from another room if she can't hear my response. I shout "WHAT!?" so loud that I end up screaming it in real life. My roommate is looking at me like I'm insane.

    6. Freddy Krueger + Demons

Fun night, despite not sleeping much.

      03.16.2013
      Krueger Propaganda (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I spontaneously become lucid in the middle of a somewhat hectic situation that I can no longer remember. I decide to fly away.

I start from my house and fly over the trees, the back road, and the forest. All along the way, there are Freddy Krueger posters EVERYWHERE with strange and violent quotations on them. "Hmm, I wonder what he's up to," I murmur to myself. I fully expect him to show up and try to cause trouble. He'd better stay away if he knows what's good for him. ((It is a running joke among my friends that I was married to Krueger and am now divorced.))

I am flying Peter Pan style, and it is quite an exhilerating feeling. I pass by a lot of beautiful scenery. At one point I stop to talk to some people,
but my recall is really hazy and I don't remember what happened next. Sadly, I know there was a lot that happened afterward, I just can't grasp it at the moment.

      03.16.2013
      Demon Opression (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

My campus has been overrun by demons who are under the guise of Indian women. I am standing in the lobby of my dorm, preparing to leave. A little girl, around 11, is trying to get in the elevator. I know that once on the elevator, it will draw people in to the demon's dimension, making escape almost impossible. But the girl is convinced that she has to get upstairs to find her sister. I get on the elevator with her, determined to protect her.

We get upstairs and the demon women spot us as soon as we step off the elevator. I grab the little girl and haul her down the hallway, keeping her away from the demons. We never find her sister, but we somehow make it back outside.

Later I am riding to California with my friends to start anew. The world is somewhat post-apocalyptic now; dark and dangerous. As we are leaving, I see my German professor chopping firewood in a temporary camp near the school. I am surprised that he now has a lot of intricate tattoos going down his body.

      Overthrowing the Tea Party (DEILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I wake up in sleep paralysis, and my clock informs me that I'm late for work. I'm not sure if I'm just hallucinating this, but I can't be late after missing so much last week! I struggle to wake up. No avail. The entire time, a sermon from some conservative southern Baptist preacher is blaring from my television. It is one of the most irritating things ever...

Suddenly Amanda comes in the room. "Hey, don't you have class now?" she asks.

"Yes," I mumble in a weak voice. "Please wake me up."

She sits down on top of me. At first, I am still paralyzed. But then: "Hey, I can move now." I do a reality check and confirm that I'm actually dreaming. I decide I'm probably not really late for anything.

"I need you to come with us," Amanda tells me in a strange voice. It's almost as if she's hypnotized. Curious, I decide to play along.

"Fair enough. But afterwards, you should help me find that girl that you drew. That's my goal, remember?"

She doesn't answer. She just looks at me expectantly, waiting for me to follow her. I shrug and attempt to put on my bedroom slippers. It doesn't work, and I figure I don't need them since it's just a dream.

She leads me into an attic where my other friends are waiting. "Hey guys, what's up?" I ask.

"Welcome to the Tea Party," they all say in weird, robotic voices. I look around the room and see that it is completely filled with radical Republican propaganda, including some pictures of my friends that show women "in their proper place." What the hell?

I take their pictures off the wall and stare my friends dead in the eyes as I rip the papers to shreds. They all gasp in horror. "That's what I think of your stupid Tea Party," I laugh, knowing that I just picked a deadly fight.

They all come at me at once, screaming about how I betrayed them and ruined everything. I leap down from the attic, intending to just ignore them and to carry on with my original goal, but they latch onto me. Since they're restraining my arms, I kick out at them violently. Alex complains that I've broken her ribs. "Good," I growl.

I wake up when Alex sneezes in real life.
    8. Old Hag Syndrome

      03.08.2013
      Old Hag Syndrome (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I "wake up," incredibly thirsty. "Definitely gotta get up and get some water," I think groggily. My mouth is so dry that my tongue is practically sticking to the back of my throat.

When I open my eyes, the first thing I see is a tall, dark figure. It is a tall old woman, wearing a black hat and a big black dress. I stare at the woman calmly, fully believing that I'm really just seeing a normal object, my refrigerator maybe, and that my brain is just still half asleep and making me hallucinate. I fully expect her to disappear within a few moments.

      She doesn't.

Instead, she glares directly into my eyes and lunges right at me! I let out a yelp of terror and shut my eyes. "OhmygodOhmygod I'm being attacked," I think frantically.

Then I realize that I can't move and that I've been stuck in sleep paralysis this whole time.

The realization actually makes me feel a bit better. At least now I know that the old woman isn't really real. Every time I open my eyes, I see her back in the doorway. Each time, she lunges toward me. I always close my eyes before she reaches me. Even though I know she's not real, it's still creepy as hell.

I really want to look at my clock: my one anchor to the physical world. But with the old hag constantly attacking me, I can't focus enough to do so. I have to get rid of her.

I open my eyes once more. The old woman comes toward me. I focus on speaking. "Don't. Touch. Me." It is an effort to get the words out, but I am pleased at how dangerously angry I sound. At the same time, I use an old trick of mine: I gather my fear and send it outward in an aggressive wave. The old woman halts in her tracks, stunned at my sudden retaliation.

After her initial shock, she says something along the lines of, "I will destroy you!"

"You can't hurt me," I growl in the same deadly tone.

She cackles. "Wanna bet?" She grabs ahold of my elbow. Pain radiates down my arm, but I've had worse and I only laugh.

"Even if you can hurt me, it doesn't make any difference," I taunt. "You're not real. You don't even exist."

Infuriated, she releases her hold on me and howls in rage.

"Now get away from me!" I yell. She stands in the doorway for the rest of the dream, not daring to attack again.

Now I can look at the clock. I struggle to make out the numbers: It's almost six in the morning. I've been stuck in SP for a while now, and I'm getting sick of it. SADLY, I fail to remember that I'm SUPPOSED to turn it into an LD or an OBE. Instead, I focus all my efforts into trying to wake myself up.

Nothing I do is helping. The only physical parts of me that I can control are my breathing, my eyes, and my tongue, but I can't do anything significant enough to wake myself up! Now that I'm not being attacked (and the vibrations aren't as intense as they have been), I'm getting incredibly bored and fed up with being forced to lie here not doing anything. How much longer could this possibly LAST!?

Screaming at my roommate to wake me up just results in more pointless hallucinations. So I remain stuck in SP for a while longer until I FINALLY snap out of it and wake up for real.

      Dillon the Weird (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I am in a dark room that isn't entirely part of our normal dimension. A few other people are there with me, including a creepy kid named Dillon who I've apparently had some issues with in the past.

I am leafing through a small notebook that I've stolen from Dillion. He is trying to take it back from me, so I'm distracted as I am both holding him back and reading the notebook. There is a strange globular thing on one of the pages that is similar to a small heart. I squeeze the little heart a few times to see if anything happens. At the bottom of the page, red writing appears that says "5 New Deaths."

Dillon laughs at me. "You just killed five people!" he says.

"What!?" I shriek. Another person in the room explains to me that this is Dillon's notebook of death. I decide to keep it away from him so that he can't kill anymore people with it.

Later, I am back in the normal plane of existence, walking through a parking lot with my dad. I suddenly get the feeling that Dillon is nearby. "Better be on the look out," I tell my dad. "This creepy kid is going to try to attack me."

I pull the notebook from my back pocket and try to put it in my jacket pocket. It gets caught on the material, though, and Dillon shows up just as I'm struggling with it. "Give me back my notebook!" he yells at me, lunging forward.

My dad grabs him and begins shaking him violently around. Dillon goes invisible and manages to run off.

"You should send more of your dream characters after me!" my dad laughs. "I'll kick their asses, no problem."

I think that he wouldn't be so cocky if he ran into my dream guide. It would take a lot more than shaking him about to defeat *him.*

Random lucid moment behind me, I continue into the store. I'm supposed to be looking for specific items that represent certain people that I know who are part of some kind of creepy cult conspiracy. On the highest shelf in the store, I see some My Little Pony cloaks (of all things.) I know that this is the item that is supposed to represent Bryan, leader of the cult and a hugy brony.

I gracefully jump onto the shelf and sit there, examining the cloaks. Though I wouldn't call myself a brony, I have watched MLP as a kind of guilty pleasure. I absentmindedly sing the theme as I'm looking at the cloaks. Suddenly, I notice someone is singing along with me. It's Dillon.

"You watch My Little Pony?" I ask him, surprised.

      "Yeah," he admits.

This sparks a conversation, and I learn that he is not as evil as I had thought. He is actually really sweet and sensitive.

      03.03.2013
      Disturbing Sleep Paralyis (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I become lucid as I'm driving down the road, though it's a pretty low level. I feel as though it is important to drive to my mom's house, as that's where I was headed before becomming lucid.

I get distracted, and slide into sleep paralysis. At first, it is normal SP. I lie there, not really caring about anything. It feels nice and somewhat relaxing. But as I slide deeper into it, the vibrations become disturbingly intense, to the point that I feel like I am convulsing on the bed. Not for the first time, I question whether or not I'm having a seizure.

I focus on my breathing, trying to make it as fast and abnormal as possible to jar myself awake. I seem to have good control over this, but it is not helping matters any. My eyes are open; I am lying on my back with my head tilted just enough to the right to see my clock. 7:59. I remember Alex, my roommate, saying that she is going to get up at 8:00 to do some homework (We are both taking naps at this time). I hope she will get up soon so it will wake me up.

Desperately, I try to call out to her. It seems as if I'm actually able to do this (though I later find out it is all a hallucination.) "Alex!" I call out in a dry, raspy voice. "Alex!" I see her sit up in bed. She looks at me in confusion.

"Wake me up," I plead. It is a struggle to get the words out.

"What?" she asks. I think that it probably sounds weird of me to ask her to wake me up.

      "I can't move," I moan.

She gets out of bed and makes her way towards me, but she stops in the middle of the room. I am worrying that I'll scare her by jolting awake when she touches me. I then worry that I might not wake up at all, and I'll be stuck like this forever. I notice she's not coming any closer, and I wish she'd hurry up.

After a moment, I jolt awake for real. I think that I'm still looking at Alex, but I soon realize that I've been seeing her poster across the room the whole time. She is still in bed asleep.

Not sure what's with all these perverse dreams I've been having. I never used to have any at all. But oh well, can't complain.

      02.23.2013
      Zombie Cataclypse (Lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I accidentally set off Wal-Mart's alarm system as I'm examining some RuneScape merchandice. All of my friends run away, leaving me as security shows up. "No big deal," I think. "Not like I stole anything." They search me and obviously don't find any stolen merchandice. However, they say they're going to have to hold me overnight. "You can't do that!" I exclaim. They tell me that they can.

When they're distracted, I take off running and leave the store. They follow after me and actually start shooting at me! Alarmed, I make my way to the back of the property where their delivery trucks are. As I'm running, I notice that my mom is tied up in the back of one of the trucks. She tells me that she got busted for shoplifting.

I free her and we run away.

      *time lapse*

Some strange things have happened that I don't remember. I am now trapped in a creepy mansion with two people I've been travelling with. I'm sitting at a table with one of them, a girl who is crying to me that the guy we're with has cheated on her. She says she still wants to be with him, but she can't just let him get away with cheating. "Well, why don't you cheat on him? Then it'll be even," I tell her.

"I can't just sleep with some random person to get back at him," she cries.

"It doesn't have to be a random person," I say with a smirk. "I mean, I'm always available." She looks as though she's considering it, so I slide closer and kiss her. We then stand up and I lead her into a back room. Sadly, some people in the mansion burst in and interrupt us, so we're once again on the run.

I spontaneously become lucid and decide that I am bored with the dream. I don't want to be in this mansion anymore. So I phase through the nearest window and somehow end up in my grandma's neighborhood.

After rubbing my hands together to stabilize the dream, I begin to walk happily down the street, singing to myself and just goofing off, enjoying being lucid under normal circumstances after so long. As I continue down the road, I notice that the doors to each house are open, and I can see the families inside. One little girl notices me singing and dancing. She laughs and walks out of her house towards me.

The whole neighborhood soon follows suit. Families flock out of their houses and follow me down the road. They are all smiling, laughing, and sharing in my happiness. I am in excellent spirits.... until I turn around and find out that all of the people have suddenly become zombies!

I stop for a moment, stunned at the abrupt change in mood. Of course, this would happen. When do I ever have non-threatening DC's in my lucids?

Since I had not been suspicious of the initial crowd of people, they are already too close for me to simply run away. Three of them are already trying to grab a hold of me, and I've fallen to the ground! I kick them as hard as I can in the head; they fall, but are still coming after me. I manage to get to my feet and start to run.

The zombies are still really close to me. One zombie girl reaches out to me... I suddenly realize that she is a normal human, pretending to be a zombie so that they won't get her. She grabs my arm and pulls me away from the hoarde.

We run together into the woods, quickly putting distance between us and the undead. "I have a gun if things get really bad," she tells me.

"What's your name?" I ask her.

"I'm Torrie," she says. "Or Annie."

"Wait, is it Torrie or Annie?" I ask, confused.

      "Yes."

I pause. "Um, okay. I'm Lola."

We end up on a very narrow path in the woods that has a fence on either side. We stop running. Everything has gone completely silent. "I don't like the looks of this," I whisper. "Maybe you should get out your gun."

Suddenly, a creepy voice rings through the air. "You have enroached too far into the hunting ground."

Torrie or Annie looks at me, clearly scared. Suddenly all manner of undead animals are quickly coming down the path toward us. "We have to go over the fence!" she cries out.

"Alright, you first." I help her over the fence. In the few seconds it takes to get her over, the animals are already at my feet. "Help me! Shoot them or something!" But Torrie or Annie is in shock or something and isn't moving. I stomp the animals' heads into the ground and quickly climb over. "Why didn't you help me?" I demand.

Then I see the state she is in. She's curled into a little ball, crying uncontrollably. Alarmed, I pull her into a hug. "Hey, don't cry. It's gonna be okay. Don't worry, I'll get us out of here." Since she is completely unresponsive, I pick her up and carry her. We end up in a small abandoned building, where I sit down and try to calm her.

I have a false awakening and am no longer lucid. Now I am outside of my old house with my dad and brother. The ground is frozen, and I am barefoot.

We walk to the back road; it is still apparent that we are under threat of zombies. On the road, there are weird tree and stick sculptures in the shape of people scattered about. Suddenly, we hear a weird sound. I realize it's coming from a huge metal tower in the middle of the briar patch to the right. In a booming voice from the tower, someone begins reciting the Lord's Prayer.

All of the sculptures come to life and begin reciting the prayer as well. The stick sculptures are carrying some kind of pamphlet and start jabbing me with them. I tell my dad and brother to run.

I manage to evade the creepy sculptures, but we have become separated. It is hard to walk properly, because I keep sliding on patches of ice. Eventually, I come to a place that looks like where I'd been before my false awakening. "Torrie!" I shout, hoping to find her again. "Annie?"

I walk into a nearby building and find her standing there. "L-Lola. It's you," she cries in relief. I run up to her and hug her close to me.

"Thank god I found you," I whisper, holding her against me. "I was worried that something might have happened." All I want to do is to sit there and hold her, but I hear some suspicious noises outside.

When I look out, two men are holding my dad and brother at gun point. One of them, who has a huge rifle. Walks up to us. "Well, well, well," he says creepily. "I think I'm gonna take you two young ladies as my wives." I give him an evil look, but he puts the gun to my back and marches us forward.

"I'll never let you take us," I growl at him.

"Oh really? And what are you going to do about it?" He turns and shoots my dad in the head. He falls to the ground, dead.

Enraged, I manage to get Torrie's gun from her bag and I shoot both men. One goes down instantly, but the man with the rifle laughs at me, even though he has clearly been shot in the head. "Well, you clearly have good gun skills, but can you---" I shoot him again. He is still alive, and laughing. I give the gun to Torrie, thinking she might have better luck. He just won't die!

      I wake up shortly afterwards.

    12. More Sleep Paralysis - Succubus "Attack"

More Sleep Paralysis- Succubus Attack (DEILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I am lying in bed awake, with my eyes closed. Alex has just left the room, and I'm contemplating getting up early since I only have about 15 minutes left before my alarm goes off anyway.

I suddenly get pulled into SP, however, and no longer have a choice in the matter. I momentarily think about fighting it, but I am tired and know that it won't be long before my alarm will snap me out of it.

Alex is talking to me, and I have to keep reminding myself that she is not really in the room. I really want to turn this into a dream so I won't just be stuck in SP for 15 minutes suffering through these annoying vibrations. They are more powerful than ever, to the point that an intense pain is pulsating through my ribs. This is definitely not normal...

The pain is getting to be pretty overwhelming, but I am still not in the mood to struggle to get out of SP. If I could just pull myself into a dream, things would be better. I try to focus on dreaming, but am distracted when a succubus shows up and a long scene ensues that I am not going to describe here. ._.

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I suddenly become conscious of myself, paralyzed and floating in the black void between dreams. I am not concerned about anything; I just passively wait for a dream to pull me in. It seems as though it's taking longer than normal.

Eventually the faint buzzing of my body grows into great roaring vibrations, far more powerful than normal. It is unpleasant, but I recognize the feeling of being pulled towards a dream, so I do not fight it.

Suddenly I am "waking up" in a chair, with my head hanging uncomfortably back off the arm. "How did I fall asleep in this chair?" I wonder groggily, painfully pulling myself to a sitting position. I do not suspect that I'm dreaming at all. I am wondering how I got back into a house that no longer exists, but more pressing concerns distract me: my teeth seem to be misaligned so that my mouth cannot close properly, and I taste blood.

I stumble to the bathroom and am horrified to find that I have a disgusting looking underbite. My teeth slide together painfully when I try to close my mouth. I push my teeth back and close my mouth the right way, but whenever I open my mouth my teeth go all crooked again. Freaked, I suddenly am reminded of the taste of blood. I start spitting up large globs of blood all over the sink.

Okay, this is definitely a dream. I remember the sleep paralysis now, and find myself silly for not seeing this sooner. However, the sleep paralysis overtakes me once more before I get a chance to move. The feeling is once again extremely unpleasant, so much that I struggle to wake up.

I succeed briefly. I wake up, then roll over and immediately go back to sleep.

Now I am in a doctor's office, talking to a nurse about my sleep paralysis and the possibility that I have some kind of sleeping disorder. She laughs at me derisively, as if she doesn't believe me. She instructs me to go into this small room to take some kind of test, which I assume will verify that my problem is legitimate. It is a small room with a desk and a computer screen- no keyboard or mouse or anything.

I sit in front of the computer. Suddenly a demon comes out of it with a horrible demonic chattering filling my head. I can tell it is trying to drain my energy.
I become lucid once more. "I'll just force it back into the screen with my telekinesis," I think, not worried in the slightest. But when I hold out my arm and try to exert my will upon it, the demon shoots up my body and drags me back into sleep paralysis.

The demonic chattering accompanyied with the thundering vibrations in my head and body is almost unbearable. I struggle, but any movemment I succeed in making is never with my real, physical body. Somehow I manage to open my eyes. At first, I don't believe they are my real eyes, because I am still entirely paralyzed, but I manage to focus on my clock. It is hard for my eyes to focus on the numbers, but I make out 2:34.

I am getting really concerned, wondering if I'm actually having some kind of seizure. It is a struggle to keep my eyes open, but I concentrate as hard as I can on the clock to keep them from closing so I do not have another endless cycle of false awakenings and more sleep paralysis. I HAVE to wake myself up.

The air is shimmering and moving, the way heat looks coming off a hot blacktop in the summer, and that demented chattering is still screeching horribly in my head. Am I really being attacked by a demon? I cannot move any part of my body except my eyes and possibly my mouth (though it's hard to say if it's my REAL mouth that is moving), so I instead quicken my breathing. If I start breathing really fast and irregularly, maybe it will jolt me awake.

After a few more agonizing moments, the heavy breathing really does force me awake. I am panting heavily, my heart pounding. I look at the clock. The time confirms that my eyes were actually open, as it is now a few minutes after 2:34. After I compose myself and go back to sleep, I have more disturbing dreams, but no more sleep paralysis.

      Fearsome Fun (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Looking in the mirror, I notice that my teeth have become grotesquely crooked. I push on them, hoping to force them back into place. Instead, I succeed in accidentally dislodging my two front teeth. Desperately trying to stick them back into my gum, I decide that this must be a dream.

A reality check proves me correct.

Upon becoming lucid, the atmosphere changes. A dark red and black haze takes over my vision as my reflection turns twisted and evil. My eyes are empty black pits, and my mouth appears horrid and full of decay. After a moment of initial startlement, I decide to have some fun with this.

I make horrifying faces at myself in the mirror, laughing evilly at how terrifying I am. No horror movie villian has ever looked as gruesome and wicked as I do. This will be fun, indeed.

I stalk out of the bathroom through the rest of the house, making more scary faces and wailing like a hideous wraith at each person I come across. They all scream in terror, eyes wide and frozen in place with fear.

Last night I got to bed extremely early and therefore had awesome recall. To avoid a super long post, I'll post them all separately.

      Fly, Flee, Fight (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Looking in the mirror, I am horrified to realize that one of my front teeth has been chipped. The more I look at it, the worse it gets. "This HAS to be a dream," I think, though I'm convinced that it is reality. Even so, I do a reality check and am relieved (and surprised) to find that I am, in fact, dreaming.

I head to the living room and run into my brother. "I'm dreaming," I tell him. He suddenly morphs into a rather girlish looking boy with long black hair. "Cool," he says. "What are you going to do?"

"I just want to go out and explore." I say. "A kind of vacation from the stress of earlier in the dream." My feet are cold and I am looking for socks and shoes to put on, then I wonder why I'm bothering with such silly details. Shoes will automatically appear on my feet if I walk outside.

      Sure enough, they do.

The boy who was previously my brother steps outside with me. "I know of a cool place we could go," he tells me excitedly. "Follow me!" He proceeds to fly off in a southward direction. Wanting to add new places to my dream map, I hurriedly follow, though I have always had problems flying at the fast pace that he is keeping. Suddenly, I realize EXACTLY how to do it and I am flying faster than ever before to keep up with him.
((I'm clearly not paying attention to where we're going, however, because though I KNOW we were originally going south, we end up in the northern woods of my dream world.))

We land in a small area in the woods that appears to be a village of Fairies. The Fairies are human sized with bright, colorful wings. We spend a lot of time talking to them, and they give us some sort of Honorary Fairy status.

We decide to have a race with some of the Fairies that will end at my house. There are many colorful floating checkpoints in the air that mark the route we are supposed to take. We have to fly as close to the markers as we can to get points and to make sure we're not taking any shortcuts.

We take off and I easily follow the trail of checkpoints, even when it shoots way up into the air and then does complicated spirals and loops downward. It's amazingly fun!

The race is interrupted, however, when some kind of strange force crash lands us into a cabin in the woods. Inside the cabin is a large square patch of ice, kind of like a skating rink that isn't round. We are playing around with this when suddenly a door opens in the back and the same force sucks the two Fairies with us into a back room. A sinister feeling suddenly overwhelms us,
and I temporarily lose lucidity as the boy and I run from the cabin in terror, some unseen evil chasing quickly after us.

Suddenly I stop, becoming lucid again and realizing that I'm being cowardly. I force the boy to stop, too. "We can't just leave our friends back there!" I yell at him.

"But we don't have anything to fight with," he stammers, afraid.

"This is a dream, MAKE a weapon. Like this!" I act as though I'm drawing a sword from a sheath at my side. I can feel the sword in my hand, but it seems to be invisible.

      "There's nothing there!" He yells.

"Hey, an invisible sword works just as well as a visible one," I defend. At this time, an evil woman and her scary looking cat-creature approach us. The cat lunges at me, but I decapitate it with my invisible sword. I grin, pleased that this actually worked.

The woman then criticizes my fighting skills, saying that my stance is off and that I'm holding my sword wrong. She says she'll have to teach me. We end up having a mock sword fight with plastic zip ties. She seems rather bored, so I perform a sneak attack with my zip tie to prove that I'm a competent fighter. I barely touch her arm, and if you've ever seen a zip tie it's obviously not sharp in the slightest and extremely flimsy, so I am shocked when it cuts her nearly clean in half!!! She falls to the ground in a pool of blood, a surprised look on her face.

      I wake up shortly afterwards.
