In this case I honestly don't think the person is an offender at all, but more likely a victim who has much worse issues than I do. Or else just a very skewed and exaggerated version of morality. I don't really know though. I believe her heart is entirely in the right place, but she tries to foist unrealistic expectations onto everyone.

No offense but that seems like the kind of thing someone upset tells themselves to make them feel better.

I had a dream once where I was a kid again and I ended up being molested by someone in my backyard. I became lucid while he was touching me and since I wasn't in the right state of mind, I wasn't able to will the dreamscape to change. Becoming lucid at that point in time was probably the worst thing that I've ever experienced, I was absolutely helpless. I know it wasn't real, I realized that just before I woke up (hence lucidity), but that didn't make it any less disturbing. Hell, I'd even say it was slightly traumatizing. On the bright side, dream memories seem to fade much quicker than real ones so I got over it within like two or three days.

I tried that once and the DC started crying - honestly the most god-awful sound in existence - so I tried to apologize and then woke up soon after. I've tried it a few more times but every attempt after that has made me wake up pre-maturely. If I even so much as lay a hand on a DC without any indication of consent, I wake up instantly. I think it might be a mental-block that my subconscious has set up - rape is a no-no so any time I try to have my way with a DC, my subconscious recognizes that I'm about to do something I shouldn't and kickS in by forcing me awake.

I don't really try to have sex with DCs any more, but when I do, I prefer Dos Equis I'll do something like what Raetin does or I'll simply tell her that I wanna fuck. Most of the time, they're willing but on the rare occasion they're not, I don't even bother any more.

I think that was a mental block of yours; similar to mine but instead of them sobbing like in my dreams, they died in yours. Anyway, good to hear your starting to work things out.

Actually, on topic, I had a dream I was on the oval across my old martial arts class, and there was this aboraginal guy who chased me and grabbed my hair, and forced me to give him oral sex :L
It actually kind of depressed me for a few days ,till I got over it.

I have had uncomfortable sex dreams. Even painful, one time so bad that it woke me up like a hot piece of metal had been driven into my genital area. It is possible that these are caused by pelvic muscle cramps or spasms of some kind, not that I notice that type of pain IWL.

Recently my partner in the dream had a hungry mouthing action on my mouth that was like a contained a twister/tornado, heh, perhaps a vacuum cleaner would be an apt comparison, uncomfortable and frightening.
Hey, just had an idea, I think the cause of that is not my overly oral IRL partner, but the experience of letting the water go in the bathtub and accidentally standing on the outlet where the water is getting sucked out, which hurt my foot a couple of times. This was a similar dream-translation of the experience.

The one rape dream that I remember was in a public place, and I and my assailant were fully clothed, but he terrified me by forcing and laying on top of me, and I felt, to use a cliche, completely violated. A nightmare no less.

It does not sound so terrible to me that people are utilising lucid dreams to rape. I doubt that the dream character represents to them the full complement of human attributes that a real person would, so it does not have the moral impact that real life rape connotes. My nocturnal paramours are usually sketchy, but to my knowledge they have all been consenting, even when I am less so.

Gavin, thanks for posting that! It's good to know I'm not the only one who's had dreams of forcing myself on a woman and causing her great pain/death! It might even be fairly common, which would make me feel a lot better about it.

Also, last night I'm sure because of this thread and the memories it dredged up, I had a very powerful dream relating to my love life or lack thereof.

I made a post about it here: http://www.dreamviews.com/f45/yellow...-dream-122397/

Violence against others is violence against your own spirit. Raping DC's may have some negative effects on ones own psyche; thereby causing more long-term problems than the short-term benefits that climaxing affords you. Especially if the DC is crying or struggling.

I ask because I bought Stephen LaBerge's book "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming," and in it he mentions the idea that a frightening dream only repeats itself if we really fear having it again. I'm certainly no expert on the subject, but the idea makes sense to me. As awful as my rape dream was, I was so relieved it wasn't real that I wasn't concerned about having it again, so it doesn't surprise me that I haven't.
Anyway, if you continue having those dreams, perhaps you can become lucid in one and confront it.
Last time I had a dream like that was about a month or so ago. Although it was extrememly disturing, it didn't bother me enough to come back again(and it hopefully won't come back in the future!). I think I realized it was just a dream and that it was probably from watching too many horror movies or something.
I dream a lot, need not be asleep.

Whatever one does to any dream character, or however one reacts to any dream character is how one is relating to that particular characteristic within their own mind (psyche). This is not only true in dreams but in everyday waking life as well. It's also true about how you interrelate at work or school, or on the net or on this forum.

So, little logic y'all? If you are trying to force someone to be different or comply with your wishes and fears (as far as I see all dreams are about desires and fears and often suggest ways to satisfy and/or relieve them) you are desiring to change portions of your psyche.

      This has many many implications.

Hey, I have had some very very disturbing dreams where I have been raped, It was always during a faulse awakening, I know I'm asleep and know it's a dream yet no matter how i tried i had no controll on the situation and i could never see the thing that was raping me but hell I could feel it..this caused me problems in my waking life but since joining DV and people explaining to me what the hell was going on I now have more controll and have only once had a dream like that since being on here yet I would usually experience them 3 times a week or more, hence me never wanting to go to sleep. These can be very disturbing and I tell you now I thank my life for my friends on here who have helped change my life because they really have..I have the power now not whatever it was that was doing that to me, that stupid imaginary presens..thanks everyone on DV, i feel like a new woman now love to ya all lol x

Thats an interesting thought. I've always assumed they just react as one would expect them to. As I said in a previous post, I've done plenty of not so nice things in my dreams... I've never felt much different.

The experience is different when not lucid however. Non-lucid dreams can be almost as traumatic as real events... at least for the short time you remember them.

I think if you knew me, you'd find I'm quite self critical... so I don't typically tell myself things to feel better. Instead, I actively work to improve upon my flaws. I'm very much into self betterment.

What I stated is a matter of observation. The most judgemental people seem to be some of the most morally skewed IMO. The need to tell other how immoral they are is many times hypocritical... but they are the type of people the least willing to admit there is something wrong with themselves.

It is a generalization of course. Its not always true.

I'm going to take a leap and say he was talking about you, or someone you know? I'm not trying to attack anyone by proxy here, just a strong believer in the notion that you shouldn't really judge others unless it personally effects you in some way.

Rape is having sexual intercourse with someone without their personal consent.
If she wanted you to, that's consent.
      Therefore, you're not raping her...

I honestly don't care if some one wants to rape DCs. It's a dream, not real life. If you decide to rape some one in real life then yes, that's a serious problem. If it stays in a dream, have fun.

I've never been raped (unless I've forgotten it). I have come close to being molested by a guy in a wheel chair.. I of course got away but the fear I felt. I was half lucid in this dream.

I normally don't have nightmares/bad dreams. I've had a few but years ago. I always feel bad pain in dreams so I do not want to be raped.

I am not into raping/hurting others in dreams but I have this game my friend and I made up. There are a lot of males, most have been abused/or have abused others, a lot of violence. Some rape, some get raped (ya, so, I may just have a rape dream yet). I love these characters, it's not enough for me to play the game with my friend. I want to be them, I want to see how they live, I want to feel the way they feel, I want to experience there life and that includes the violence. The emotions I feel from these characters are so real so I'll have no problem putting them in a dream when I am able to have lucid dreams properly.
