Does that answer my question? Holy shit, yes! Thank you for taking the time to write all that out and explain it so thoroughly! Your experiences sound really interesting, and I'm glad you make something of them rather than what I usually hear around campus, not applying stuff, I guess. Thanks again!

Ranting and whatever is ok, but please keep the personal attacks, insults, hate, and racism out of here.

Rant: I stepped on a thumb tack and now my foot hurts.

I got back from Wal-mart an hour ago. Hubby woke me up to send me out. I was sound asleep lol. I wont be sleeping tonight. Perhaps I'll actually play some Minecraft
I had an old dream of having gum stuck to the roof of my mouth. I kept trying to discreetly pull it out but my grandmothers house was full of people and I couldn't seem to sneak away. People kept catching me and it feels like the same sort of taboo as picking your nose I even went to the bathroom to pull out ropes of the stuff but it was full with three men. 2 were hanging from the shower, naked, vampire style
      Such a weird dream.

A rave is that hubby treated me to Taco Bell Steak Chalupas are so friggin yummy!
But now my tummy is rebelling a little bit.

I do love my dreams. The last few nights have been centered around riding horses (I've been playing Oblivion). I've not ridden a horse IRL since at least 1997/98. The other night, someone was trying to steal my horse even though they were riding their own. I used my hand to fly us into the air, but it was just barely above the horse thief's head. I couldn't rise us any further. It was still really neat though

Its true, we all have our own lenses through which we see things. Appreciating that is fundamental.

The main gripe I have with retail I guess is that it requires a blind obedience sort of policy in regard to customers. However nonsense or hateful the situation, "the customer is always right." I've seen grown adults throw heavy and dangerous objects at one another...mothers no less. I've seen them spit and otherwise provoke one another over peanuts. The kind of senselessness that punches doors in, slashes tires, and can kill people over a misunderstood glance.

The challenge for me, I guess is remaining objective and peaceful in a world that can, at times, seem anything but.

My lenses tend to have a flair the dramatic, though.

Speak for yourself. The beginning is certainly overwhelming in that way... but after that it becomes very energetic for me. Acid is my favorite drug to dance on, hands down.

I didn't know you had cluster headaches. That's cool that it cured them though, I always thought that was a really neat effect of psychedelics.

Also, it's hard to really define a "typical" acid experience. Ego death isn't a requirement. Sometimes you'll get it, sometimes you won't.... But ego loss is far from the only thing psychedelics can do of course, they're quite fascinating.

I'm curious, have you posted your lucid dream ego death experience anywhere?

No problem! Like I said to Tiresias too, I would like to also point out that psychedelics can do many things besides ego loss as well, but if that's the info you're looking for then I think what I wrote out is a pretty good starter guide.

And thanks! I like to think that I tend toward self-improvement with my psychedelic use. Not so much when I started out, but I think I've made it there pretty successfully over time....

I'm getting really frustrated with all the psychedelic shit that is on my mind. Which I think is beautiful but having nobody to share it with keeps distancing me from people further and further in a sense. While drawing them closer in a greater sense of compassion it is also accompanied with a greater sense of loneliness in part induced by delusions along with illusions of grandure and excitement which is only really applicable in the psychedelic state of mind in which NOBODY but ME can seem to enter.

Thus producing lonelinless.. And really i'm just feeling so alone..

I always clean on my day off. I can't be arsed to clean after a full shift.

Cleaning's not too bad when you have good tunes and some cannabis... at least, that's what works for me.

My rave is that I have a working light timer now for my room, and it works fantastic. Makes a HUGE difference, too. Waking up in complete darkness just sucks. I would feel tired and groggy regardless of how much I slept.
Last night I only had about four hours to sleep before work, but when the alarm went off and the lights went on, I felt wide awake. Well, not quite wide awake, but much more awake than before I added the light timer.

My rant (I might have already ranted about this; I don't remember): Say what you want. Damn coworker tells me:
"I never want to work overtime."
"You just let me know when you don't want to work."
"I don't want to work weekends."

Yet it's painfully obvious that she DOES want some overtime. Why is it so hard to just say this rather than force me to read in between the lines to realize "I don't want to work," actually means "I want to work." I'm not an overtime whore. I mean, I am, but I'll gladly share. I like having time off just as much as I like extra money.
When I worked 2nd shift, one other guy and myself liked working overtime. We both acknowledged this and simply rotated each week; all was well. This girl just makes it awkward each week. I offer to rotate, but her response again is, "No, I don't want to work, you can come in if you want."

This week is going to be absolutely shit.
I couldn't really sleep last night, I think I fell asleep at 6am and I had to wake up at 7am. I'm actually quite tired right now.
It'll be 25 degrees all week, so that's quite hot. And I have to wear a hoodie because my scars aren't really fading away.
My mum told me I was crazy for wanting to wear a hoodie in this weather. But I just told her that it's really cold in the class rooms and I guess she believed me.
But when it's really hot outside and I'm wearing alot of clothes, I easily get sick and feel like I'm about to pass out.

We're going on a school trip to Germany tomorrow with everyone who's in year 11. And I'm so anxious and nervous about it. It's just the little things that get to me every time.
Like we have to be at school at about 7.45am. When we're there, we have to find the teacher so she can sign a paper to confirm that we actually arrived at school.
And then you can get in the bus. But I'm afraid that my friends will be on the bus already and that I have to find the teacher all by myself and then get on the bus
while everyone's on it already. And tbh, I really shouldn't be anxious about it because I'm meeting up with some friends at school before we get on the bus.
I honestly hate having social anxiety, that's one of the main reasons why I get so many panic attacks.

I have work experience on Wednesday which stresses me out aswell.

I have three hours of pe on Thursday and I really hope my scars will gone by then.
If not, I'll just tell my friends that I was helping my dad at his work and I accidentally hurt myself while moving a fence.
I think that should work but hopefully they'll believe me.

And we have an other school trip planned on Friday to some sort of company.
So there'll be loads of people. Having social anxiety is so awful omfg.
This probably will be one of the worst weeks ever.

I still didn't go to our school counselor yet, but we have two weeks off school after this week.
So I'm planning to do it after the holidays. If I can make it through this week

That 'white knight' feeling can sometimes become a problem, if that's the only reason you're doing it. I see that often here. Younger people will often offer seats to elderly people. But lately, I've witnessed a few refusals.
Young person: "Excuse me, would you like to sit down?" [inflective high pitched overly polite voice]
Old person: "No, no that's okay."
      Young person: "Are you sure?"
      Old person: "Yes, it's okay."
Young person: "Really, I don't mind..."

Near the end you can kind of see the horror building up for the young person. I'm not sure what the reason for the refusals are. I think some elderly people might feel insulted. Like they feel they aren't really that old, are physically fit for their age, and feel like the person offering is telling them they're old and useless.
Well the way you describes it makes me want to puke lol! High pitched overly polite voice hahah. In my case it's more like:
Me: "You can sit down" *stands up and moves*
      Her/Him: "Ok"/"Thanks"

I really don't give them a choice, it's just an act of kindness that's all. Trying to love my fellow human beings, and if don't people don't accept it that's okay. That just means I can sit down again, so I'll still end up feeling glad. Horror building up? I can't imagine, but a lot of people are just afraid of rejection. Then again, it was clear from the way you described the conversation. When elderly people get insulted by that then it's their problem really imo.

Btw Alyzarin you're making me really curious about this LSD, I mean I've had it in my mind for quite a while of trying it out but I don't really have the connections or any people I know who have experience in it. You seem to be a certificated teacher.

I agree about the elders becoming more less selfish and wanting to have a seat, back then they were demanding seats now they are not really much caring for it because i think it based on how very healthy some elders are and some don't need to sit. I have seen many elders lately healthy and standing ground and not giving eye contact when they need a seat...which is another factor when an elder needs a seat is when the body language says so. I do stand up in buses for elderly, and sometimes get a "no thank you" because their stop is just 1 ahead or something understandable in those terms.

I worked for 3 summers at a fast food place once (Tim Horton's), and maybe it's just here, but 90% of the people were really nice. Overly polite, if anything. There were always a few who treated the workers as sub-human, but it's like the others were acting purposely polite. I'm not trying to make a point because this could very well be an exception. Just that maybe it's not like that everywhere, or in some circumstances (this is the same city as the bus thing happens in).

I wasn't referring to you specifically. I completely believe you do it in a decent way.
I don't think it's their problem though. Not like, they should get over themselves and sit down. No, if something makes someone unhappy, no matter what you think of their reason, the decent thing is to try not to do that thing to them (not that it's the kid's fault either). I can think of plenty of examples of things people do sometimes that I don't like. Like people will occasionally offer me seats on the bus (because I carry a heavy bag, I think) but I'm really picky about the seat I take. I generally won't sit next to an overweight person (because I don't get the whole seat to myself), or between two people, or anywhere in the front, so I'll say no thank you. I don't think it's something I have to get over. It's just a preference I have. But I don't get upset at the person offering their seat (in fact I feel bad for refusing them). Sorry for attacking the choice in words you had, I just tend to ramble, I'm not trying to get on your case, I know you probably didn't mean it like that. And yes, the people who I've seen appearing 'horrified' (I could be misreading people) seem afraid of the rejection.

As a customer, I see mostly polite people. I'd hate working in Customer service though. I imagine it could bring out the worst in people.

My rant is that I friggin dislike the dmv and all of their requirements. I have to renew my license this month and I have no way of verifying my residency. Absolutely everything is in my husbands name... and he has it set up so that his office is his place of residency (even on his ID). It's irritating. Yet the only time I normally think of off of this is when I'm trying to go to sleep

A rave is that it's an awesome day today. I'd be out there sweeping the driveway if everything wasn't so saturated from the abundance of rain we've been having (it even snowed night before last!)

Guess I should hunt down some food

Um, about the residency, i think it's odd to have it on your husbands office.....i think you might have to talk about your frustration when it comes to you renewing government cards and stuff, it sounds like a hassle and i wouldn't want it that way, just saying.

All the examples I gave are from the convenience store I've worked at for just over 4 years, and they are all 100% true...except when I said "over peanuts" I didn't literally mean peanuts, just tiny stupid nonsense things.

Even the one about innocent people being shot to death over a misunderstood glance. I knew one of them, and he was a very good man, always upbeat and kind. He was at his job, trying to keep the peace between two violent idiots and ended up paying the ultimate price. All over someone else giving some guy "the wrong kind of look". Justice has yet to be served in that case.

And as for the tire slashing, my coworker has had her car keyed and tires slashed almost 20 times last year, all over an incident where a customer threw a bottle of motor oil at her, just barely missing her head. When my coworker decided to press charges, the woman went stalker and began vandalizing her car.

To make matters worse, the whole incident started because at the time our policy was such that school age children were not allowed to shop in groups unsupervised. Only one kid could be down the aisles at a time to prevent loitering and theft.

Its funny to me, because this mother couldnt be bothered to take her children to the store in the first place, and if she had we never would have asked that they shop separately. But as soon as she heard we'd asked them to enter the back of store separately (as per policy) all of a sudden she had no problem driving immediately to the store, screaming, cursing, causing a scene, and chucking a heavy bottle of motor oil at another mother's head...and for months after causing hundreds of dollars in damage to car owned by a woman who was simply doing what her job asked her to do. It's mind-boggling to me.

I'm not saying every case is like this, obviously. Maybe its just here in the shit town I live in. Maybe I'm just jaded after seeing too many bad situations.

But I can say that, although it sounds wonderful to work in a retail environment where most are overly-polite (even if not completely genuine) its not like that everywhere or in every circumstance. It could be, and I personally think it would be great... but some people just aren't willing to play that game I guess.

I used to think that on the whole most people were good, and treated others decently unless disrespected. My Dad said that I always had my rose-coloured glasses on, and that over time I'd lose them.

And after enough years in retail, those babies are long gone and now protective goggles seem to be a more appropriate choice of eyewear...if only to hold on to the little bits of hope and idealism I still have left.

That's called the customer service job life.

Don't worry Dianeva I didn't feel offended or anything like that.

You are right about the preference, if you just kindly say "no but thanks for the offer" it's alright really. If people then get upset because of that then I don't know anymore lol. I understand your preferences, personal space is important in a lot of situations. Sitting next to an overweight or smelly person or whatever bothers you can be distracting if you have to endure it for 30 minutes, I've been there lol. I know you're not trying to get on my case, I guess I sounded agitated then lol. Well dont worry! I like discussing it with you

Also, I did a whole bunch of RC's at school mixing in with my knowing mindset so my lucid is confirmed.
