      Been there, done that.
I once heard that if you try to fly to space at a very fast pace with the intention to break out of your dream, you would end up astral projecting.
I decided to practice doing this and ended up in space, while hearing some kind of demon laughing and saying weird nonsensible things.
I was sure this was still a dream though and I was not actually astral projecting.

If you like space, be ready for some mindblowing imagery.
      damn.. that sounds amazing..

Still, it is a cool concept; and you can use it for for things other than AP, I think.

Why? Because what you could consider is that this is accelerating not just super-fast, but to a speed that exceeds light, and then your expectations take over and you'll see the (as yet) unimaginable stuff that comes with faster-than-light speed. Who knows? AP might be one of the things that happens after those speeds are exceeded... hopefully AP without pesky demons!

I've done a short journey before, from the Earth to the Sun.

When I became lucid, I remembered I wanted to go directly to the Sun and the next thing I know I was just outside the Earth's orbit looking at it from a distance. I started to fly towards it and the radiation would powerfully zap my body and i would loose conscousness as I got closer. So I decided to teleport DIRECTLY INFRONT of the Sun... big mistake! It was the the most terrifying awesome thing I've ever experienced. I was suddenly faced with the absolute insane hugeness and powerfulness of it, the enormous roaring electrical noise and it's majestic fierce power. It tore apart my very being in an instant and I woke up. I must have been there for a fraction of a second.

There was one dream where I was viewing a Star Trek type of space-ship with a Starbucks logo on it.

Then I recall one more dream where I wanted to travel through the solar system and pick a planet, and I ended up going to Neptune. However, because my mind made the planet mostly water-based, it scared me to death since I hate any dream where I'm deep underwater. And one more dream from the top of my head is that I jumped really high from Earth, floated around space for a bit, and then shifted myself a bit to move a few hundred miles from my initial point in the dream as I was falling back into Earth again.

      ^^ But not for drinking.

It turns out that caffeine works better than dilithium in the warp core.

They didn't call it Starbucks for nothing!

Honestly, I'd be scared to go into space. Idk why, it just freaks me out to think about it. Nothing scares me as much as going to the bottom of the ocean though, lol.
You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one...

      ^^ Except:

If you're lucid and remember that it's all a dream, you'll know that there is nothing to be scared of, whether you're in space or at the bottom of the ocean. That knowledge might just make the scary stuff that much more explorable (and worth exploring)!

      Just a thought...

      O wow TheSpiderSilver

that reminds me of a dream from 25 years ago.

A Taxi driver told me how he went on a astral travelling course and flew out into outer-space, with the class, and how amazing it was.

I pretented I was happy for him but spent days (after the cab trip) pouting on-and-off cos I've wanted to do that all my live and some dumb cab driver got the experience and I never did.

I was mad at my rotten angel or guide or whatever.

      Then I had this dream.

I was in outer-space with my young male guide. we were holding hands and gliding.

Then he said that I needed to learn a bit (not just have fun).

I was nervous but excited as he slowely let go of my hand.

we were slowing to a halt.

As I stood there I looked around. Then I looked down.

Below us there seemed to be nothing, forever.

Next, I was gently pushing him and trying to climb on top of his horizontal belly.

      He started giggling and said:

"You are treating me like a bed!"

well, he was wrong. I absolutely wasn't trying to get sexy with him. So, I said:

"I'm treating you like a boat".

as I said that, I woke up hearing his laughter. I was giggling for days on remembering that dream.

My guide was real and he knew I was jealous of that cabby.

So he took me into outer-space. But when he tried to teach me summut I pannicked.

I felt that if I began falling I would fall for all eternity cos there was nothing beneath me for lightyears.

I needed a boat, a spaceship. And, like it or lump it, he was it, (hahaha)
