Yes, it was quite a catchy song. I've been singing it to myself off and on for the past couple of days

I just saw Dr. B a few minutes ago in waking life. Not many people on campus these days, and I don't see her much these days either. Interesting coincidence, if that's what it was. And yes I checked, I seem to be awake.

You realized you were dreaming, so it probably counts!
I have been trying to decide one that one. On the one hand, when I woke up I felt pretty sure that it wouldn't count for some reason. But on the other hand, I thought perhaps it was the excitement of being lucid that woke me up. It seems like the awareness and the waking almost happened simultaneously, and I don't really know which was first. I guess if the scores are close by the end of the competition I'll worry more about it

Awareness that this is a dream dawns on me as I either wake up or lose the dream (not sure I would count this as a lucid dream for the sake of the competition).

Yes I have! Often, when I start looking, I find more of them. Does that happen to you too?
Weird, maybe more people have as well. And yes it does, it's always like that. Might notice one in sand or sticking out of ground, I start digging, and start finding a sh*t ton of them and get all excited.

amidst the debris along the riverbank I find some coins. It seems to be silver change (like nickels or quarters perhaps), but as I look I find at least one-dollar coin.
Got curious enough to comment (usually only read the lucid entries properly), but have you had a lot of this theme in your dreams during your life? Finding coins in ground/hidden, maybe getting a bit excited and happy too while at it? Mean I'v had this same re-appering theme from since like the first-grade, no idea why. Must have had like 30-50 dreams where I find a bunch coins buried somewhere.

Thanks! I'm fairly happy with the frequency of my lucid dreams these days, but I'm hoping to get better at keeping the dreams from ending too soon.

Yeah, I suspect that I wasn't lucid. Interesting though.

Like Mayatara says, dream control without the awareness required for crossing the threshold of what is considered "lucidity", is not an odd thing in itself and does not have to imply lucidity. Some people seem to have more degree of it than others, just in the same way that some people seem to have more natural lucidity than others (and sometimes not as much control even so).

I used to have almost no non-lucid dream control myself, but over the years that has changed a bit, and I know my dad also has a lot of dream control without actually being lucid.

It is possible you may have been lucid and forgot, but just having control over the dream content is not enough to make it a lucid dream. I have a lot of those, I basically can control all my dreams if I feel like it, but most of the times it is something I do, unaware that I am in a dream. Knowing that I am in a dream is on a subsconcious level and only once in a while it emerges to the conscious level. Only then it is a lucid dream.

I remembered that it happened to me years ago. I could feel my walking hand but at the same time I began feeling my dream hand that eventually took over the walking one.
