      War On Shadow Men

When I woke up in the middle of the night I tried daydreaming as I fell back to sleep. I seem to daydream about odd things in the middle of the night. I sort of daydreamed that there was a game menu in front of me and it asked, "How many lucids do you want?" I scrolled down the menu and selected "3 lucids with action".

This dream started off with me and about 10 other soldiers running through a forest. It felt a lot like I was playing MAG. We were running towards a wooden building on the other side of the forest. Two really short guys in black robes (shadow men) jumped out from behind the trees. They had machine guns and I ducked down behind a nearby as they started firing. I pulled out a frag grenade and threw it over the rock at them. They made a very funny high pitched "ugh!" sound when they blew up. Sadly we were down to only about 7 guys after the fight. I threw a smoke grenade in front of the building as we ran towards it. More shadow appeared at the same time and tried to block out path. I dropped on the ground and shot a couple with my assault rifle and they made that funny noise again. I quickly got up, ran through the smoke, and opened the door.

I walked in with 2 other guys who were apparently all that was left. We walked down the dimly lit hallway of what looked like a hospital. As we walked into the lobby a shadow man popped his head up from behind a desk and a few more came from the hallway on the other side of the room. They started shooting at us with assault rifles and killed the guy to right of me. Narrowly dodging bullets, I quickly ran to the left corner of the room behind a wall of pipes sticking out of the wall. I'm not sure what happened to the other guy. I threw a poison gas grenade towards the hallway to stop more shadow men from getting into the room. I then looked threw the scope and shot the two shadow men that were running towards me. When the other two shadow men behind the desk stopped firing at me I threw my last frag grenade at them. When it exploded they flew up in the air in a cartoony way and made that funny sound again. There was another shadow man, but he ran down a hallway before I could kill him.

I walked around the lobby for a moment trying to take in what had just happened. The light then started to flicker and the colors in the room dulled. It looked like a place in a horror movie now. I found one of my guys lying on the ground in a pool of blood. I checked to see if he was alive, but he wasn't. I put my gun down on the ground and took his assault rifle because it had a silencer and flashlight.
I became lucid at this point for some reason that I can't remember. I suddenly got a suspicous feeling from a dark closet on the right side of the room. I took a step towards it, but then hesitated. I turned my gun's flashlight on and pointed it at the closet. I slowly walked towards it before a shadow man jumped out with a knife. I shot it in the stomach with a few bullets though and it fell onto its back.

I turned off my flashlight and walked towards the hall all stealthy like. I peaked out around the corner and saw a dark blur fly across the hall. Right as I saw this the flickering light in the hall suddenly went out. It was nearly pitch black now and I was really scared. I took a few deep breaths and turned my flashlight back on. I slowly walked into a small bathroom on the left. I shined my light around the room and everything seemed normal, but then I felt like looking in the mirror. When I looked in the mirror I saw an eerie (not sexy) shadow move behind the shower curtain. I quickly turned towards the shadow with my heart pounding like crazy. I motioned as if it was going to open the curtain, but instead it sort of evaporated. I gathered up some courage and quickly ran to the shower and opened the curtains myself. The second I opened it I fired a few shots at the tub, but there was nothing there. I then heard the echo of a little girl's laugh. I turned back towards the door way and saw a trail of blood leading from the tub down the hall.

I followed the blood trail down the hall and started to give into the pressure. I kicked open a door to the right and started firing my gun, but there was nothing there. I thought I saw a shadow from under the door to the left and did the same. I then sat down for a moment and tried to calm myself down. I took in a few deep breaths and reminded myself it's just a dream. I then picked up a wet sponge on the ground and repeatedly squeezed like a stress ball. I reloaded my gun and walked down the hall. I had more courage this time as I walked, but I had that weird feeling in me again that told me there was something bad at the end. My heart started pounding as I reached the door at the end of the hall. I opened the door and I know something happened, but I can't remember what.

      Space Fragment

I'm just going to give a short explanation of this one because it confused me. I was lucid and I was floating in space next to earth with the elf. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy were standing on an asteroid and gave me a quest to destroy a space station. Sure, why not? So then we fly over to the space station and I shoot a fireball at it and the elf shoots a lightning bolt at it. It blew up and a bunch of gold coins came out.

      Lost Dog

Just a very short dream of me looking for my dog. I was riding in the back seat of a car, my grandmother was driving, and my mother was in the passenger seat. We were driving through Loudonville apparently looking for my dog that ran away. We turned left onto main street and I saw my dog standing on the side walk as we turned.

"Hey! I saw my dog back there!" I told them.
      "So?" My grandmother ask.
"So let's go back there and get her?" I asked.
"Fine." She said turning the car around.

As she turned the car around I got that weird feeling again. That feeling where I know something bad is about to happen or there is a nightmare creature nearby. I looked out in front of us and saw a shadow man just standing there in the road. The car stopped in front of him. He didn't move. He just stood there staring at us and that feeling grew stronger. Remembering that I only get this feeling in dreams I decided to plug my nose and look at my hands. I couldn't breathe through and my hands looked normal. I kept trying over and over again because it just didn't seem right that I would be awake. The next thing I know, my grandma became impatient and ran the shadow man over.

I woke up after trying another reality check. When I had awaken I couldn't move. I was stuck in sleep paralysis again. "Crap. Sleep paralysis again." I thought. "3, 2, 1, FLAIL!" I thought to myself before I managed to roll over. I was apparently still too tired and relaxed though because I got stuck in sleep paralysis again right after. This time I decided to see what would happen if I let it happen. I lied there for 10 seconds before it felt like someone kicked me in the spine. Then I decided to just get up for a minute to unrelax myself.

      Escape Boat

Before this dream started, I was testing day dream awareness. I was day dreaming about odd things because my mind wasn't fully awake. I day dreamed that I was swimming in the ocea after a cruise ship. Just to make a key point, I was climbed onto the ship by a really long ladder. Now onto the dream.

I was sneaking around a facility (of what kind I do not know) with the elf. I was wearing a backpack that must have been full of a lot of stuff because it was heavy. I was also carrying a couple bottles of Gatorade and some granola bars in my left arm. It seemed that we were looking for supplies and anything useful. She opened a chest in the corner of the room and started digging through a bunch of junk. I think she even tossed out a rubber chicken as she was digging. Inside the chest she found a large old book, a compas, a couple sacks of something, a can of gasoline, and a familiar looking blue crystal. She put the book, compas, and crystal in her satchel bag. She tied a string around the gas can and put it around her other shoulder. She carried the sacks of what I think was fruit in her left arm.

"I think we have enough supplies now." She said.
"Agreed. How do we get out of here again." I said looking around confused.
"That ladder over there." She said pointing behind me.

She walked past me and started climbing the ladder. I followed right behind her, but she somehow got to the top in like 10 seconds. It took me a while to climb the ladder because of how heavy my backpack was.
About half way up the ladder I suddenly became lucid because climbing the ladder seemed familiar to me. It may just be coincidence, but I think my day dream might have been successfully helped me become lucid in a way.

"Guess who's lucid!" I shouted happily as I neared the top.
"That's nice. Just hurry up." She said as she grabbed my hand.
"Grouch..." I said as I climbed to the top.

We started walking through a dimly lit metal hall that felt kind of sci-fi. I started to get a weird feeling as I followed her. It felt like something was about to happen and I think she felt it too.

She stopped and said, "Be careful, I think there's a trap ahead."
"Doubt it." I said trying to be positive.

She slowly started walking forward. Then out of know where I heard a streaking sound and saw blood splatter from her stomach. She fell to the ground and lied there motionless.

"Holy crap!" I said as I ran over to her.
I lifted her head and asked her, "Are you okay? Can you move?"

She could only moan in pain. I looked down and saw a huge gash in her stomach. 100 thoughts went through my mind at once for what I could do to save her. Then the thought of simply healing her wound came to mind.

"Okay, don't worry, I think I can heal you." I said to her.
I held out my hands and spoke to myself, "Just focus the magic in my hands..."
"I'm ready!" I shouted once my hands started to glow white.

I then placed my hands over her wound and released the energy into her body. She glowed brightly for a moment. I shielded my eyes and when I looked back her wound was completely healed. She opened her eyes and slowly stood back up. She was alive now, but it looked like she barely had enough energy to stand.

"Awesome! I can heal people now!" I congratulated myself.
"Just hurry up." She said stumbling to through the hall.
"What? No thank you?" I said catching up to her.

The hall led outside. I could see that it was the middle of the night and there was an ocean outside. At the end of the hall was a ladder that went down 10 feet. The elf started climbing down the ladder slowly, but I just jumped straight down. I sat there for a minute or so waiting for her to climb all the way down. We then walked over to a motor boat sitting next the docks.

"Be very careful, or they'll spot us." She whispered.
      "I know, I know." I said.
"Take the supplies and put them on the boat while I fill it with gas." She told me.

She grabbed a bunch of bags that were sitting next to the boat and handed them to me. She then tossed the two sacks of fruit and her satchel on top of that. I quickly lost my balance and I stumbled back. I fell onto the boat and tipped it over and all of the supplies were in the water.

"You idiot!" She yelled at me.
"Don't worry! I'll get the stuff back!"
"Don't forget to bring back my bag!" She yelled as I started swimming.

I turned the boat back rightside up so she could fill it with gas. Then I started swimming around the harbor gathering the stuff I lost and putting it back in the boat. Right when I thought I had everything I remembered her satchel. I looked around for it, but I couldn't find it. Then I thought about the possibility of it sinking. I dove underwater to look for it, but it was too dark to see. I then remembered that she stuck a blue crystal inside the bag. It seems that crystals glow when I get near them, so I thought it might glow if I put a lot of focus on it. Luckily it worked, and I saw the bag glowing bright blue between two rocks. I grabbed it and brought it back to the boat.

By the time I got there the elf had already finished filling the boat with gas. She was sitting in the drivers seat ready to get going. I climbed into the boat and we drove away. The dream ended right about here.

      Escape Train

Me and the elf were sitting in a very large dimly lit room with a bunch of train tracks. We were in another facility again and trying to escape again. We planned to escape by train, but we needed a train first and to change the direction of the tracks. We walked through a door with a light above it. The room we walked into had a series of ladders that we needed to climb. It was kind of like if Donkey Kong was made 3D. We climbed the first ladder onto a platform. When we climbed up to it there were a few scorpions on the ground.

      "Ahh! Scorpions!" I screamed.
"What do we do?" She asked me.
"Kick them! Kick them!" I said as I stomped on one and kicked it.

Once the scorpions were dead we climbed up the second ladder.
As I climbed the second ladder I became lucid in the same way I did in the last dream.

"Ladders? Again? What the hell?" I thought out loud.
"Deal with it." The elf told me.

We climbed to the second platform and kicked a few more scorpions before climbing to the third. On the third platform there was another door with a light above it. I tried to open it, but it was locked. I was about to think of a way to pick the lock before the elf charged into it. I think it was a bit much to have to break it open, but it worked. We walked into a well lit control room. There were too large windows on each side looked over too different train stations.

"Go get the train while I guard the door." She said.
"Okay, but what levers do I pull and what buttons do I press?" I asked her.
"I don't know. Just pull all of the levers." She said kicking a scorpion.

I walked over to the left window that overlooked our train station. There seemed to be something in the way that was blurring the glass. I pressed a red button to the right of it and the blurry glass slid out of the way. I still could barely see anything though because of how dark it was in there. So I pressed another button to the right of the window and the lights in the station turned on.

"Hey! They told me lights don't work in dreams!" I said.
"Hurry up. You're wasting time." She ordered me.

I saw a rope hanging above me and I pulled down on it. A train then appeared on one of the tracks in the station. I then saw about 10 red levers below the window. I flipped them all down and as I did that the tracks started to straighten themselves out.

"I did it!" I shouted in excitement.
"Good. Now let's get out of here."
"Wait. There's something wrong." I said starting to get a horrid feeling.
"What did you do this time?" She asked me.
"It feels like there's something down there..." I said trying to find it through the windows.
"Just go already." She ordered me.

We ran past the scorpions and jumped straight down the ground floor. When we walked out the door into the station we were both shocked by what we saw. There was some sort of monster in the station. It was 7 feet tall, had purple flesh, and a sword like claw on each hand. He took a couple of steps towards us and licked the blood off his blade. We took a couple steps back in terror of what we were seeing.

"Look out!" She yelled as he lunged towards us.

He tried to swipe us both with his two blades, but we both rolled out of the way. Although I really really really didn't want to fight this thing, I morphed into a black dragon.

"Get to the train!" I told her as I lunged at the monster.

I gripped with my back claws and started shredding it with my front claws and teeth. The elf then tried running past the monster towards the train. The monster quickly knocked me off of him and turned towards the elf as she ran by. He motioned to take a swipe at her and I slowed down time. I quickly ran between them and attempted to block the attack with arm. The good news was he wasn't able to slice off her head. The bad news is cut my arm really bad and it hurt. I fell to the floor as the elf stood at the back of the train. As the monster was about to take a final stab at me the elf fired a lightning bolt at it. I got up and ran towards the train as fast as I could while the monster chased after me. Once I got inside she pressed a button that closed a strong metalic door. The last thing I remember before waking up was the monster banging on the door, but failing to break it down.

      Escape Plane

I can't remember the whole dream. I was on a plane trying to escape again from I don't know what. The seats were oddly arranged like a movie theater and there were a lot of fancy people on board. Then I saw two men and a woman from the back row run towards the cockpit. It looked pretty suspicious to me, so I followed them. When I ran in, the two men had their guns pointed at the pilots. I became lucid at this moment. The woman noticed me and pointed her gun at me.

"What are you guys doing?" I asked.
"What does it look like? We're hijacking this plane!" She told me.
      "Why?" I asked.
"Because we're terrorists! That's what we do!" She said.

I was about to ask her another question, but she was getting a bit annoyed with me and shot me in the head.
The next thing I know, I'm sitting back in same seat I was before. The only difference now was that I seemed to be the only passenger.

"Woah, weird lucid day dream." I thought to myself.
      "Waaaiiit a minute...
I wasn't day dreaming! That was a real dream! And this is still a dream!" I yelled out loud.

I then got curious about where everyone was and walked into the cockpit. The terrorists were there again and the two men in the group were trying to fly the plane.

"Hello again." The woman said to me.
"Where are the pilots...?" I asked loking around.
"Over there." She said pointing her gun at two dead bodies in the corner.
"Oh jeez..." I said looking at the bodies.

I walked over to the two men flying the plane. They were doing a pretty crappy job. The radar showed that we were approaching the landing zone.

"There's no way you can land this thing without crashing it." I told them.
"Just wait and see!" She said.
"We're starting to descend." One of the men said.

I walked back into the passenger area and sat down. I tried thinking of a way for me to survive this situation. The only reasonable thing I could come up with was jump out. I saw the emergency exit door and opened it. I waited until we were very close to the ground before I jumped out. I did a roll when I hit the ground in an attempt to lessen the damage on me. Hitting a road at over 100mph is still gonna hurt though and I flew all over the place like a ragdoll. When I finally came to a stop I was on my back. I looked over to see the plane crash into another plane on the ground and explode.

"Holy crap! This freaking hurts!" I yelled before I woke up.

    4. Orange Crystals, It's Halloween Again (January 26, 2012)

      DreamLucidAwake

      Orange Crystals

I don't remember much of this dream. I was walking along a dirt road and saw a hut. I walked inside the hut to see if I could find anything interesting. Inside the old man was sleeping on a hammock. I snuck past him and walked over to a table on the other side of the room. The table seemed to be made out of dirt and grass. Even stranger, an orange crystal was growing out of it. I touched the crystal and it started to glow brightly before shattering into a hunder little pieces. I reached my hand out towards them again to see what would happen. They started floating and turned into a magical energy that absorbed into my arm. I started freaking out and shaking my arms because I didn't know what was happening. The old man woke up as this happened.

"You fool!" He said grabbing my arm.
"What just happened?!" I asked him.
"You absorbed the crystal that was powering my shield!" He told me.

I heard footsteps from outside the hut and turned towards the door. An orc warrior with a sword and armor stood outside. He roared and charged towards the hut. I saw a sword sitting on a shelf in the hut. I took it and ran outside to the orc. He swung his sword at me and I blocked it. He knocked me to the ground and I rolled back before he could stab me. I remembered that I had absorbed the magic from the crystals and focused it in my hands. I charged at the orc and pushed against its chest. An orange energy bursted out and that's the last thing I remember before waking up.

      It's Halloween Again

I was in an empty parking lot with my mother. We had just finished putting groceries in the car. She got a phone call that reminded her it was Halloween. She told me something about it being Halloween again and that Micheal Myers would be looking for us. She then told me to unchain the car and that the code was "2921". I walked to the front of the car and there was a chain connecting the car to the metal railing. I realized that if it was already sunset Micheal could be anywhere by now. The lock on the chain dial with number 1-9 in a mixed order. It took me a while, but I finally got the code in and the chain broke. The next thing I know it's the middle of the night and I'm riding in the back seat of the car. I became lucid when I was told to keep an eye out for Micheal Myers. I knew that if the dream continued and we got home I would have to fight Micheal Myers. I then debated whether I should let the dream continue and fight him or if I should just wake up. I thought about it for a few minutes before I woke up involuntarily.

    5. Sea Monsters, A Running Race, War Against France, A Flying Race (January 25, 2012)

      Sea Monsters

I was swimming deep under the ocean near the sea floor. I didn't pay much attention to the fact that fact that I was breathing underwater. All of my attention was captured by the beauty of this world and exploring it. I could have kept fallowing the bright colorful path of fish and coral, but curiousity and stupidity got the best of me. I could see a trench not too far away to the right and I decided to go see what was in it. As I looked down at the trench I heard a strange noise in my mind that almost sounded like someone screaming. That didn't seem to scare me enough and I slowly descended into the dark parts of the trench.

Before I could get into the darkest region a giant lamprey came out from the darkness and tried to bite me. The thing was blue, at least 3 times my size, and had spikes on its sides. It charged at me and pinned me against another rock as I was trying to swim out of the trench. I tried to push it away from me, but I didn't have the strength. Right before it was about to latch onto my stomach I managed to morph into a black dragon. I used my dragon strength to push the lamprey away from my stomach. I then put poison into my back claws and slashed its face. The lamprey then backed away and thrashed about in a fit of pain. I focused more poison in my claws and swam back towards it. The lamprey saw me and started spinning in place. I tried to move out of the way, but my left side was cut by the spinning spikes. I quickly swam above it so it would lose sight of me. I charged more poison magic in my tail and claws while I waited for the lamprey to stop spinning. Once it stopped, I dived down and slashed its back about 20 times in 3 seconds. It finally died and fell back down to the ocean floor.

I swam back out of the trench and was relieved to be out of the dark. I stopped to see how bad the cut was on my side. It looked pretty bad and it really hurt. I noticed I was losing a lot of blood and that it seemed to be flowing towards something. It was flowing towards some tiny fish in the distance. But then as those little fish got closer I realized they were actually great white sharks. They must have been attracted by the scent of my blood. Three of them started circling me and I prepared myself for another fight.

One of them charged towards me head on, but I hit it in the face with my tail. It backed off and went back to circling me. Then another one came from the left and tried to take a bite at my wound. I stabbed it in the snout with my claws, swung myself onto its back, and kicked it hard to the ocean floor. Another shark dived down at me from above. It tried to take a bite at my stomach, but I pushed against its snout so it couldn't bite me. I then let go of its snout and gripped its tail as it swam past me. As I held onto the tail, the shark swam down deep into the darkest parts of the trench. I then saw a bright light floating in it and the shark threw me towards it.

When I was thrown towards the light I was completely sucked into it. The light had teleported me into the living room of some house. I shot out of the portal really fast and slammed into a wall. I then fell onto my back and lied in pain.

"I think I broke my snout!" I said covering it with my paws.
"I'm going back to human." I said as I let the dragon body evaporate.

Suddenly all of my pain went away and I was full of energy again. I got off the floor and looked around the room. I looked at the tv and documentary on sharks. I walked through the door and it led to an office room. A large blue crystal sitting on a shelf quickly got my attention. It was in the shape of an egg and there seemed to be a light blue mist moving inside it. I felt like I was supposed to touch it. I placed my hand over it and it quickly started glowing brightly. It looked like something amazing was about to happen, but then a lady came in and moved my hand away. The glow slowly faded away.

"Don't touch that!" She said with a suspicious look.
      "Why not?" I asked her.
"Just don't. Okay?" She told me before walking away.

I was going to touch it again after she left, but I woke up.

      A Running Race

I was running along a dirt path through a forest as fast as I could. When I saw 3 other guys and a girl trying to outrun each other I realized it was a race. Me and this white haired guy were the fastest and running neck and neck. The man suddenly ran off to the right into the forest. I realized he was trying to take a short cut, so I thought it was only fair to do the same. I ran after him through the bushes and then tumbled down a steep hill. After I hit the ground I started chasing him again. He jumped over a small stream and started climbing a cliff. The path he was trying to take seemed slow to me, so I decided to follow the stream instead. I ran through the bushes for a short distance before I came to a mansion surrounded by electric fencing. That's where the finish line was and I was able to cross it far ahead of everyone.

There were two soldiers there who congratulated me. Even though they said I won, I was given a silver cup instead of gold. One of them opened a chest and pulled out some camo uniform.

"Put these on." He said handing me the clothes.
      "Why?" I asked.
"You won. That means you're hired!" He said.
"I don't want to be hired." I told him.
      "Put them on!" He demanded.

I had a feeling he would probably shoot me if I said anything else. So I quickly changed clothes into the camo uniform. After I did that the dream changed scenes. It was now night time and I was in a living room similar to the last dream. There were a few girls and guys standing next to some sleeping bags on the floor. I had just walked in at the end of an argument betwen them. The girls took their sleeping bags and walked out the door.

"Sleep lightly tonight." A girl whispered in my ear.
"They scare me." I told the group leader.
"Don't worry. The worst they've done is stick sharp glass in someone's ears." He said.
"I think I'll go to sleep now." I said.

I pulled out an orange sleeping bag and tried to go to sleep. As I was about to fall asleep I heard the sound of breaking glass. I looked up and saw a girl picking up shards of glass off the floor and walk towards me. So I did what any reasonable person would do. I hid inside my sleeping bag and woke up.

      War Against France

I was in the middle of an abandoned city. I don't remember experiencing it, but I remember knowing that we were at war with France. All of the American soldiers in the city had been killed except me. I ran up a street and saw a man with a machine gun. I pulled out my pistol and tried to shoot him, but I was out of bullets. Right before he started firing at me I jumped behind a low stone wall for cover. I found a dead body behind the wall holding a crossbow. I think he was just a civilian. So I took the crossbow and loaded a clip into it. Do they even have crossbows like that?

When he stopped firing to reload I stood up and fired an arrow into his stomach. I then ran past the dying man into a garage to see what I could find. As I looked around I heard someone come up behind me. I turned around and saw a man with a remote controlled robot. The robot raised its guns and I jumped behind the car for cover. I found a flamethrower just lying there on the ground. When the robot stopped firing I jumped in front of it and lit it on fire with the flamethrower. After the robot was destroyed the flamethrower was out of gas. I picked up my crossbow that I left on the table, but the man had already run away.

After this I remembered something about a helicopter on the other side of the city. I could have followed the streets or cut through the cemetery. I decided that it would be stealthier to go through the cemetery because it was off the main path. To get into the cemetery I had to jump over a wall with a 10 foot drop. I ran through undetected, but the only way out was through the colosseum. When I walked in I heard gun shots and I hid behind a stone column. I looked back and saw a guy in a tower with a machine gun. I kept running in the shadows where he couldn't see me. When I got to the other side a lizard man showed up and he just so happened to have a lightsaber.

I tried shooting him with the crossbow, but he blocked that and kicked the crossbow out of my hands. I ducked as he tried to swing his saber at my neck. He then tried to stab me in the head, but I rolled to the right. I kicked the lightsaber out of his hands and it fell into the light. He ran after it and then triggered a mine. Turns out there was a mine field in the middle of the colosseum. I picked my crossbow back up and exited the colosseum. When I was on the streets again, a man came running towards me with a shotgun. I fired an arrow into his leg and then one into his chest. A few more soldiers came after me and I ran through the alleys to get away. The dream faded away as I ran.

      A Flying Race

I was in a race again. This time I was on top of a mountain in the middle of the night. It was just me and the white haired guy from before. While I was running he was flying ahead of me.

"You do realize this is a flying race? I don't think you can do it." He teased me.

I came towards a cliff and I knew I would have to fly to live. So I ran full force and jumped off of it. I quickly transformed into a black dragon and started flying alongside him. This made him mad and he pulled out his sword. He flew towards me and tried to stab me. I turned into a shadow and appeared on the other side of him. I tried to hit him with my tail but he blocked it with his sword. We repeated this a few times before a strong wind blew us back towards the mountain. When I finally regained control of my flight I lost sight of him. He then came at me from behind and held me against the cliff. I released a small burst of shadow fire from my body and quickly let go. I then grabbed him with my claws and dove down along the waterfall. I was planning on throwing him into the sharp rocks at the bottom. Before I got to the bottom, I decided to fly back up and throw him into a cave behind the waterfall instead. I didn't feel like killing him so I left him there and flew away.

      Finding a Sword

I don't know when I became lucid, but I was lucid. I was walking down the stone path of a medieval city. I was helping a kid who was a couple years younger than me find a weapon. He wanted good sword so he could start his own adventures. I led him down the path to where the sword shop was. When we got to the shop it exploded and a giant bug flew out of the flames. The shop owner was standing outside, so we went over to talk to her.

"Your shops on fire." I told her.
"Yes, I see that!" She said in frustration.
"Do you have any swords left?" The kid asked her.
"No, but there is a powerful sword hidden inside the city. I'll let you keep that sword if you use it to kill those things." She told us.
"Where's the sword?" The kid asked.
"He knows." She said pointing to me.

The funny thing is, I really did know where it was. I actually knew the city pretty well even though it was fictional. I pointed to a dark alley across the street from the shop. We descended the stairs in the alley and came to a maze of multiple paths. I was somehow able to guide him along the right path. We came to a dead end where there was a carving of a dragon on the wall. I placed my hand over the dragon picture and it started to glow blue. A piece of the floor beneath us then tore away from the ground and levitated up to the top of the wall. We stepped off the floating floor and onto the rooftop. We found a longsword sticking out of the roof. I took the sword and gave it to my friend. He then did one of those video game victory poses where he lifted it up in the air and smiled.

"Wow! That sword boosted you up to lvl 23!" I said reading his stats.
"Wait, don't we have another job to do?" He asked.
"Yeah, we have to find those monsters." I said

We walked back onto the floating floor and it descended back to the ground. We then walked out to an open area and stopped. I could feel the ground vibrating slightly below us. Then 3 flying monsters came out from under the ground. One of them was the giant flying bug from before. It had the body of a bee, the face of a beetle, and the wings of a moth. The second monster was just a floating skull with glowing red eyes. The third monster was a floating purple ghost with a skull mask.

"Look out!' I said to alert my friend.

I jumped back and transformed into a black dragon. The ghost and the bug decided to pick a fight with me while my friend fought with the the skull. The ghost shot a ball of shadow fire at me and I dodged to the right. I ran straight towards the ghost and stood on my back legs so I could start clawing at him. I made a few swipes and then tried to sink my claws into him. The bug flew in and tackled me before I could grab the ghost. The bug kept trying to stab me with its giant stinger. I would swipe at his stinger to block his attacks and he would do the same. It was a sword fight with claws and stingers. When he had a chance to land a direct hit on me, I did a backflip and striked his stomach with my tail's blade. At this moment I had instinctively learned how to use the dark element of poison. Not only did I cut his stomach, but I infected him with a lethal poison that killed him quickly.

The ghost then came out of nowhere and knocked me to the ground. It then unleashed it's shadow fire on me, but I slowed down time and rolled out of the way. I tried to swipe it with my poison tail, but it turned into a shadow and appeared behind me. He then smacked me into a wall when I wasn't looking. I kept trying to slash him with my tail and claws, but he just kept turning into a shadow. When I was starting to tire out, he created a shield of shadow fire around him and charged towards me. So then I thought, "If he can use shadow powers, why can't I?". I stood up and charged towards him. Right before we were about to collide, I let a cloud of darkness rise from the ground and surround me. I phased right through him and caught him off guard. I stabbed him from behind with my claws to make sure I had a good grip for what I was about to do. I flew high up into the air with him and threw him back down to the ground. I then dived down towards him in a ball of shadow fire. When I crashed into him, he turned into a shadow mist that sort of evaporated.

I looked back at my friend to see how his battle was coming along. The skull was shooting flames at him, but he was able to dodge them. He then held the sword out in front of him and charged it with a powerful red energy. He then leaped towards the skull at a super fast speed. Using this speed he was able to slice up the skull from all angles in just a few seconds. The skull fell to the ground and my friend delivered the final blow with a cut down the center. We had won the fight and I went back to my human form.

I guided us back along to the main road. From there we walked to the castle. The king was supposed to give my friend a quest that would start his real adventure. Unfortunately I woke up by the time we reached the drawbridge.

      Spinning Hourglass

All that I could see was an hourglass in the middle of complete nothingness. It started to fill itself up with a blue liquid. All of the sudden I started hearing music and the hourglass started spinning rapidly. Then I started talking to myself.

"Somethings not right here. Everything here feels familiar.
      Oh yeah, I'm dreaming again."

I was completely bored now because there was nothing to do. My body wasn't even actually there. So I was stuck looking at the hourglass and listening to the music.

"Ahh this hurts! It's starting to give me a headache. Just wake up already!"

So then I woke up with my head pounding.

      A Simple Task

It was the middle of the night and I was lying in my bed. I was having a ridiculous number of false awakenings that night. An invisible force knocked me out of my bed and onto the floor. When I looked up my dog was sitting on the top bunk. I realized there were two things wrong with that. 1. It would be impossible for him to jump that high. 2. I don't have a top bunk. I stood up and felt a familiar energy. I did the nose reality check. I couldn't breathe through. I tried it two more times and I still couldn't breathe through my nose. I then tried a different reality check by looking at my hand. I looked at my hand and it had a large hole in it like it had been stabbed. So of course I became lucid after seeing my hand was a bloody mess for no reason. I started rubbing my hands together and focus on my environment to stabilize. I think a few tricks I was using through out the night helped to boost my awareness.

I walked out my door and saw a plastic Mountain Dew bottle spinning and flying around all over the floor. My sister was there watching it and she didn't look too happy.

"Why is it spinning?!" She yelled out of confusion.
      "Because it's a dream." I said.
"Well make it stop, it's annoying." She demanded.
"I'm not doing it." I said laughing.

She got mad, went to her room, and slammed the door. The bottle was still spinning all over the place so I tapped it with my foot to make it stop. Out of nowhere I felt like going up to the fourth floor (even though we don't have one). I walked up the steps until I reached the attic. I saw the window and decided I was going to go for a fly. I concentrated on two points in my back and grew white dragon wings out of them. I then ran and crashed through the window. I fell a few feet before I started to flap my wings. I could have just levitated, but I seem to like the feeling of having wings more.

I was now flying over some neighborhood and didn't quite know what to do. I then saw a woman standing in the middle of the road. I felt like I was supposed to talk to her. I flew over to the street she was on and made a rough landing. I talked to her and she gave me a task. She told me to go into this one house and have sex with a girl. So I'm just going to say I went inside the house, had sex, and woke up.

      A Deadly Water Park

I'm having trouble remembering this one. I was at some sort of water park in the middle of a field. I remember I was there with Chris, the elf, and some old man. I at least remember the ending of the dream. Chris and the old man were inside some temple building talking about important stuff. While they were doing that, me and the elf were enjoying the water park. I walked over to a metal machine in the shape of a claw. It had a bunch of holes in it and it read "DON'T TOUCH, DON'T DIE".

"Don't touch, don't die..." I read out loud smiling.
"Don't you dare!" She said, knowing what I was thinking.
"This is just a dream. What's the worst that could happen?" I said reachin out my hand.

I poked the claw and it instantly blasted a huge wave of water at us. It flooded the area for 5 seconds before we were lying on dry land again. Despite the warning, we were still alive.

"That didn't kill us!" I said laughing.
      "I hate you." She said.

I then woke up from laughing too much.

      Smashing Desks

The dream started out with me, Chris, and other DCs I don't care about sitting in a class room. The teacher was teaching something, but I really did not care about it. The bell soon rang and everyone but me and Chris left. We then walked over to a couple sledge hammers leaning against the wall.

"Ready to get smashing?" Chris asked.
"What if we get caught?" I asked him.
"Well I don't go to this school, but you need a disguise." He said thinking.

"I bet if I morph into a dragon he will never know!" I said right after I became lucid.
"Alright then let's do it.!" He said excited.

I stepped back prepared myself for a morph. I did a backflip and transformed into a white dragon half way through. We both picked up the hammers and started destroying desks and stuff. It was loads of fun and I was laughing the whole time. Then the teacher came through the door. The three of us stopped and stared at each other.

"What are you two doing?" He asked calmly.
      "Run." Chris said quietly.
      "Holy crap run!" I yelled.

We both ran through the door on the right. As we ran down the hall I started looking for a place we could hide.

"Hide there!" I said pointing to the men's restroom on the left.

I ran up to the door first and tried to open it, but it was locked.

      "It's locked!" I said.
"Just use the woman's restroom." Chris said pointing to the right.

So we both ran into the woman's restroom and hid in one of the stalls.

"Be quiet. I can heard him coming." I told Chris.

We heard the door slam open and Chris soon covered his mouth. I heard the footsteps aproach the first stall. He paused for about 5 seconds before opening it. Then he moved on to the second and paused again before opening. We were a few stalls away so we had time to think of a plan. I motioned Chris to the floor with me. Unfortunately Chris was a little too panicked and confused to understand my plan. I grabbed Chris's leg with my tail and started crawling. I timed my movement with his pauses so we could sneak out.

Once we finally got out the door we started running down a different hall and made a few turns. Then we ran into a room that looked like a hotel lobby. I stopped in the middle of the room and Chris ran off down another hall to the left.

"See you later!" He shouted back to me.

I walked up to a lady behind a desk.

"Your room is up the stairs to the right." She told me.
"Thanks!" I said and started running again.

I ran over to a staircase in the left corner of the room. I then heard what sounde like the teacher's voice and ran up the stairs really fast. I ran into my room and locked the door. For the most part it looked like my real life room. I looked for a place to hide. To the left I noticed an extension to my room. I walked into a closet like area and found a door in there. I opened the door and behind it was another door.

      "What the hell?." I said.

I then opened the second door and behind it was another door.

"Are you serious? Another door?" I said annoyed with my dream.

I opened the third door and it actually led somewhere. It looked like a dark and creepy basement with its own touch of evil. Just looking at it seemed to generate fear itself. It reminded me of a place from an old nightmare. I closed the door and decided not to go in there because I didn't feel like it was worth the trouble.

I started panicking again when I realized I was out of hiding places. The door handle started jiggling and I decided I need to transform back to human. I stood in place and focused on becoming my old human self. When the transformation was over I looked at myself in third person. I had clothes on and human arms and legs. I still had a dragon face, hands, feet, and a tail though.

"That's not right..." I said looking at my mixed form.

Despite the lock the door opened up and the man came in. I then ran towards the window and planned to make a jump for it. I crashed through the window, but the man grabbed me back the back of my shirt and pulled me in. I then prepared for my punishment.

"Hey! That was pretty good joke you pulled on me earlier!" He said laughing.

      I woke up after that.

      Club Ambush

Everything from what I can remember in this dream was lucid. It was night and I was walking down a city street. I had made plans with a few DCs to meet at club. It had something to do with ambushing an enemy that was using the club as a base. I was carrying a yellow bag full of equipment that they said would be necessary and a couple dice. I walked over to a lavender building that only stood out because of a short man in black guarding it. I had to find a way to sneak the bag past him so I could get the equipment in.

I walked up to him and held out the pair of dice. The dice were supposed to act as a sort of permission slip to grant access to the club. I dropped the dice on the ground to distract him and tossed the bag over his head as he bent over to pick up the dice. Luckily he didn't notice and let me in. I grabbed the bag and walked into an area that looked like a restaurant. There were three DCs sitting at a table looking at me. One was Chris, the second was the elf, and the third was my "contact". So I walked over to the table and sat down between the contact and the elf.

They told me that there was going to be an ambush. I think they said something about an enemy ambush planned at the same time of our ambush. To pass the time we played a game with a stack of gold coins. I took a small stack and counted them.

      "1, 2, 5, 7..."
      "I think that's 4." The elf said.
      "1, 4, 3, 2... Okay I can't count when I'm dreaming." I said dissapointed.

So we started playing the game which involved flicking one gold coin into the other. I soon started thinking about the ambush again.

"Guys, I'm not sure if I can use my elements when I'm in my human form." I said.
      "Why not?" Chris asked.
"You better use your elements!" The elf said threatening me.

So then I decided to keep my mouth shut. I thought about morphing into a dragon at that moment. I decided not to though because it would blow our cover. As I was thinking about it I saw two men with guns drop down from the cieling on the other side of the room. The ambush had begun and my three allies got up from the table. The elf took out one of the guys with some sort of shadow spell. Apparently we weren't expecting them to have guns so we had to make a run for it. Chris took the lead and guided us towards the door to a storage room that also had a backdoor. By this point a few more enemies had arrived and were shooting at us.

Chris was trying to open the backdoor, but it was locked. A man then came towards the storage room with an smg aimed at us. I quickly ran past my friends and let out a huge burst of earth energy as the man fired at us. I was able to use this energy to provide a shield as Chris worked to open the door.

"Yeah! I knew you could do it!" The elf said congratulating me.

It wasn't very easy keeping the shield up as bullets pounded into it though. Chris finally opened the door and the three of them ran outside. I released my shield when the man stopped to reload. I ran to the backdoor and followed my team. Rather than a city, the door led deep into a forest near a river. The man chased after me and fire a quick short burst. A bullet then went into my left leg and I fell on the ground. The elf then turned around and used some sort of explosive spell on the man. Chris helped me back on my feet and we started running again. My leg was seriously hurting by this point though and I was limping. We ran a short distance along the river before coming to a bridge that crossed the river. The ran down under the bridge and tried my best to follow. I stumbled and fell down the river bank. I was lying at the water's edge in too much pain to move and my vision blurring. I could see a couple men aproaching and they started firing in my direction. Chris soon rushed in and dragged me under the bridge. I could then see the elf casting lightning bolts at the soldiers to provide protection. This was the last thing I saw before I passed out.

When I woke up there was an very strong pain in my left leg. It wasn't like where my leg falls asleep and there is dull pain all over. In one point of my leg it felt like I was being stabbed. It hurt so bad I almost wanted to scream. Luckily it went away after about 5 minutes.

    10. Dragon Morph (January 15, 2012)

by , 01-16-2012 at 06:55 AM (Chronicles of Ethos)
      DreamLucidAwake

I learned 5 new abilities during a great fight last night. I learned the fire element, ice element, lightning element, earth element, and how to morph into a dragon.

      Dragon Morph

I was in the sky high above the clouds in the middle of the day. I was being carried through the sky by some sort of wind current. I stopped screaming when I noticed there were many animals flying through it peacefully. There were buffalo, horses, and rabbits just flying along with it. I then made an attempt to gain control of myself and fly along with it. I noticed a sharp turn in the current ahead and I flew out of it before I could turn with it.

I started falling and screaming again. I noticed a small floating island below me in the direction I was falling. After falling for about 3 seconds I grabbed onto the edge of the floor.
As I was starting to lose my grip I realized I was dreaming. I was about to activate super strength, but I fell before I could activate it. The funny thing is I'm great at flying but completely forgot about it in this dream. I decided to let instincts take over and save me. I did a roll as I was in the air and morphed into a dragon through it. I wasn't a very big dragon. If I were to stand on my hind legs I'd only be a little bigger than I am right now.

I started flapping my wings and I was now hovering a few hundred feet or so below the island. I started laughing because of how cool it was to have morphed and how it felt to have a tail and wings. I used my wings to quickly fly back up onto the island floor. When I got up there I met a strange man wearing dark robes. I'm just gonna call him shadow man for now. I then started to hear a woman's voice in my head.

"Be careful around him." She said.
      "Why?" I asked.
      "His magic isn't natural."

I saw his eyes glow yellow as he started charging purple balls of lightning in each hand. I charged towards him to try to stop his spell. I was too late though and he blasted the hell out of me. The spell knocked me back and out of my morph. He then taunted me with a laugh at how powerless I now was. I knew I wouldn't be able to fight him as just a human so I tried to recreate the morph technique. I jumped towards the ground into a roll. Halfway through the roll I quickly started morphing into my dragon form. I came out of the roll on four paws again feeling confident. He tried throwing anothing lightning bolt at me, but I jumped out of the way and started running towards him.

As I ran towards him I heard the voice say, "You're a dragon now, remember to use your elements. Try to breathe fire."

Instinct kind of took over again and I gathered an intense heat in the back of my throat. I took a deep breath and breathed this heat out slowly into a large flame. It looked like I damaged him, but he considered it nothing compared to his abilities. He quickly teleported to the other edge of the island to stay at a safe distance from me. I didn't let the distance stop me though and I started to shoot fire balls towards him. Unfortunately he was too good at dodging to land a clean hit. He then stopped and waved his arms in a downward motion. He flew away as the island started shaking violently apart. When I relized that the island was about to collapse I flew up high above the danger zone.

"You can't defeat me! I'm invincible!" I heard him yell with an evil laugh.
"Quick, get over to the other island. He's summoning something." The voice told me.
"I don't think I can beat him. I've never fought anyone so powerful." I said.
"You're a lot more powerful than you ever were before. You can do it." She said reassurring me.

I made a left turn in my flight and flew over the second island. There was shadowy village on the island that looked far from natural. I saw the shadow man fly into the village and hide in one of the houses. One thing I found strange about the village was the buildings were only about 4 times my size.

"Did he summon that village?" I asked the voice.
"Yes, you should destroy it quickly." She said.
"Why would he summon a village of all things?" I asked.
"It's best we don't find out." She replied.

I swooped down towards the village and flew close to the buildings. I started breathing fire on a few buildings. I soon landed inside the village because flying close to the buildings was becoming too difficult. I breathed more fire and it blew apart the buildings. Suddenly a bunch of soldiers that looked like mini shadow men came out of the houses. They came at me with spears and swords and surrounded me. I started to fight them off with my claws and tail until I remembered that there is more than the fire element. As several of them surrounded me again and got closer I charged the energy inside my body. A sphere of electricity started to form around me until I released it in a wave of lightning in all directions. It effectively wiped out my enemies.

I now knew why the village needed to be destroyed. It was creating little shadow minions that would do the shadow man's evil work. I decided fire was too slow and I needed to try the earth element. I released green waves of seismic energy from my mouth at the houses. They blew apart and shattered quickly. I held this new breath for a while as I mowed down several houses. I stopped when about 20 more of those little guys showed up. I quickly flew up into the air to avoid them and surrounded myself with a green sphere of energy. When I came crashing down towards the ground it had the effect of a meteor strike. The wave of earth magic destroyed many more houses and killed nearly all of the minions. By this point I had destroyed most of the village and the shadow man gave up on hiding in it.

The shadow man then flew up to a third island above us and I flew after him. When I met him at the top he sneak attacked me with a spell that blasted me back into the wind current. I was thrown all over the place inside it but quickly regained control. I started flying against the current with all my strength to get back to the fight. With enough determination I soon flew back out of the wind current and back towards the island. On my way I decided to plan my next moves with ice magic. I knew he wasn't going to expect me to be back so soon and I would be able to use a sneak attack.

I landed on top of the island and he looked very surprised. I quickly focused the cold energy in the back of my throat. I took aim and fired 3 quick short bursts of ice magic at him. All 3 ice sickles hit him and froze his body in a couple places. I then charged in and released my ice breath in front of him. It knocked him back onto the edge of the cliff. He was hanging there by his hands unable to pull himself up. He was unable to fly because the ice on his body limited his movements.

"I can't be defeated... I'm invincible..." The shadow man said shivering.
"That shield on his side! That's what has been protecting him this whole time." The voice said.
"Okay, I'll get rid of the shield." I said.

I swooped down towards his side and swiped the shield off his side with my claws. I watched it fall down through the clouds. The shadow man managed to climb back onto the island when I wasn't looking. I landed in front of him to fight him once more. He tried to charge a spell, but I raimed him, swiped him with my claw, and then smacked him with my tail to combo. That's the last thing I remember. I know a little more happened, but I think I won.

      Short Lucid

The dream started off with just an image of the playground I usually visit. Then out of nowhere it felt as if I was sucked into the image. I looked around noticed that there was no one in sight. My attention started to focus on the playground. I remembered that the playground is a common place in my dreams and became lucid because of that. I then climbed to the top of a nearby pole for no reason at all. I plugged my nose and breathed in through just to confirm I was dreaming. From the top of the pole I noticed I could see most of the town. It wasn't just a small town anymore though as much as it was a big city. The city I was looking at reminded me a lot of london. I jumped down from the pole and was about to go explore it. Once again I woke up too early because I didn't stabilize.

      Short Lucid Dream

I think I became lucid out of randomness or awareness. Sadly it was one of those lucid dreams where I was mostly just there for the ride. I was standing outside the fence of my house. I was watching a woman attach a propane tank to some weird machine to the side of my house. I jumped over the fence and walked to my backdoor. My mom was outside and I could "see" my dad inside and they were yelling at each other.

"I'm not going inside until you get that snake out from behind the tv!" She yelled.
"I'm not getting rid of the snake until you get rid of this damn koala!" He yelled back.
"I told you I'm not going in there until you get rid of the snake!" She yelled.

I decided I would take care of the snake problem just so they would shut up. I went inside and walked into the living room. I looked behind the tv and saw nothing but a bunch of wires. So then I thought that they must have meant the tv upstairs. As I turned around I saw my sister. She gave me some candy and quickly walked away. It could have been poison, but it it's dream candy I'm gonna eat it. They looked like colored rocks but were actually soft and tasted like marshmellows.

After eating the candy I walked upstairs and walked into my room. I was about to look behind the tv, but then I thought, "If this is a dream, that snake will probably be a lot more trouble than it's worth." So I walked away from the tv and jumped out the window for the hell of it. I then walked back inside into the living room where I saw my mother holding a doll. The doll's face was emotionless. Then things got confusing. My mother said something about happy things making the doll smile and bad things making it frown. So I poked it in the head and it smiled. I poked its stomach and it frowned. Creepy. The dream was already fading away so I woke up after that.

    13. Stopping the Dragon (January 6, 2012)

by , 01-07-2012 at 08:07 PM (Chronicles of Ethos)
      DreamLucidAwake

Many of the dreams I've had recently were too boring for me to remember except this one.

      Stopping the Dragon

I had a low level of lucidity for most of the dream. It was the middle of the night and I was standing in a large grassy field again. The night sky had many stars, but nothing particularly amazing. In the distance I could see a lake and some hills further away. To the left and right were two different castles that sat near the lake. I stood there and thought over which castle I wanted to explore. Then all of the sudden there was a sense of panic in the air. It felt like something dangerous like a battle was about to happen. So without thinking about which side I wanted to take, I made the long run to the castle on the left.

As I approached the gate I could see a few men setting up siege equipment in a tower. Looking through the metal bars of the gate I could see many people running around in chaos.

"Hey you! Stop!" Said one of the soldiers in the tower.
"Are you a Draflam?" The second guard asked.
"What the hell is a Draflam?" I responded.
A fireball hit the tower hard before one of the guards said, "Get inside quickly!"

The gate in front of me soon opened and I ran inside. I was constantly being pushed and shoved by the panicking citizens and the soldiers moving to position. The ground and walls of the castle shook a few times after each blast. I'm not even sure where these explosions where coming from. I eventually made it to a group of soldiers near a spiral staircase. Before I could even say anything I heard one final explosion from around the corner. I saw soldiers and debris fly against the other wall during the explosion.

The next thing I know all of the soldiers are yelling about a dragon. They managed to tie a black rope around the dragon that extended around the corner to where I'm at. I'm guessing the point of this was to make sure the dragon couldn't fly away and cause more trouble. I grabbed the rope and helped them pull against the dragons strength. Then I saw a familiar face to my side. It was a man that reminded me a lot of the squire and dragon tamer from previous dreams.

"You there!" He said pointing to me.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him?
"Outsider, who are you? Are you Aranian or one of those Draflams?" He asked me.
"I'm a Dragonborn." Was the only way I could think to respond.
"Outsider, you are not welcome here!" He said starting to become angry with me.
"Please, just let me help your people." I said desperately.
"Very well then." He said overlooking the situation.
"Quick, give me your match." I requested.

He tossed a box of matches to me and I suddenly had an idea. The rope was black and reminded me of a fuse. So I struck a match and lit the rope on fire. The soldiers down the line quickly started moving away as they noticed the fire. Once the fire moved around the corner I realized we only had about 5 seconds left.

"Everyone get down now!" I yelled.

All of the soldiers soon started running away from the area and taking cover. Me and the squire moved ducked down behind the stone staircase. Right as we ducked down a huge explosion was heard and felt from where the dragon was. I soon got back up off the floor covered in dust and debris. As everyone stood up they started to cheer at the defeat of the dragon. I was happy for a moment until I realized something the others didn't. Although I didn't see it, I could feel that the dragon was only wounded by the explosion and it had just retreated. I also realized that the other castle was still attacking us.

I ran up the spiral staircase that led to the castle walls. From there I could see an army approaching from the other side of the lake. Soon there were arrows and fireballs flying at us. I ran into the tower near the gate to help out the soldiers who helped me. Sadly the dream skips here and I can't remember what happened with them.

I was now sitting on the couch in my grandmother's living room. I had memories from earlier in the dream, but I wasn't lucid. I remembered that we had won the battle, but I had only wounded the dragon. I became nervous and worried that the dragon could come back any moment and attack. I looked out the window and it was pitch black. That made me even more nervous because the dragon could be right outside and I wouldn't know it. I walked into the dining room and saw a few family members sitting at the table talking. I ignored them and looked at the window behind them. It was too dark to see out that window too.

"Speak of the devil! How are ya?" My uncle spoke to me.
"Jolly, just jolly!" I said nervously looking through another dark window.
"That's good. Hey you look a bit worried. Is something wrong?"
"Nope..." I said and walked back to the living room.

I then sat on the couch and fell asleep. Next thing I know it's the middle of the day and I'm sitting in a tree in my backyard. Everything looked normal except there was a stone tower growing out of the back of my house. In the distance you could also see castle walls that surrounded the villages in the kingdom. I was sitting there telling my story a group of people below the tree. I just wrote my story though, so I'll skip to the end. I explained to them that the dragon was still alive, and I knew it would come back and attack the top of that tower. So I told them how I was going to go to the top to fight it, but they all walked away nervously. There was one person though that didn't walk away though.

As soon as I saw her I became lucid. It was the same elf in the red dress from the "Dragonborn Magic" and "Healing Potion Quest" dreams. She raised her hands in a way that I knew she was about to cast a lightning spell at me. I slowed down time and jumped off of the tree branch. I just barely dodge the lightning bolt. I immediately started running to the backdoor of my house/tower.

To make things more confusing, when I entered the building it looked more like a lab or hospital. There were a few sets of stairs that I didn't have time to climb. I jumped over the railing to the top and looked back. I saw the door slam open and heard foot steps. I couldn't see anyone though. "Oh crap! She knows an invisibility spell!" I said and started running again.

As I ran down the hallway of the hospital I remembered my magic. I took in a deep breath, turned around, and let out a powerful roar. It knocked her hard off her feet and disabled her invisibility spell. I ran towards her and jumped up in the air to kick her. She grabbed my foot though and threw me into one of the rooms to the right. I got up and went back into the hallway. I took in another deep breath and prepared for a roar. She started moving between rooms very quickly so I couldn't get a good aim on her. Then suddenly I realized that I really need to breath. So I let out my roar down the hall without hitting anything. The elf then came out of nowhere and knocked me to the ground. She was now on top of me and was about to blast me with a spell. I managed to let out one quick weak roar though. It made her stumble back against the other wall. I continued to let out a series of quick roars to keep her pinned. I started to think about how I was only taking short quick breaths for a moment. I woke up shortly after realizing it probably wasn't healthy.

      End

I wonder how things would have turned out if I did get to fight the dragon a second time. I also thought that elf died before after I tried to help her. Now she is trying to kill us again. Whose side is she on?
    14. Dragon Taming (January 2, 2012)

by , 01-03-2012 at 07:18 AM (Chronicles of Ethos)
      DreamLucidAwake

More dragon stuff and I'm happy with that. Some interesting things happened in this dream that made it the best lucid I've had to date. Not all was perfect though.

      Dragon Taming

I don't remember anything from before I became lucid (if there was anything). It was a bright day and I was in a small river valley. I water was shallow and you could see beautiful colored rocks below the water. There were small trees growing in the water along the rivers path. I was lucid and taking joy in the ability to perform nearly impossible parkour techniques.

I was jumping from tree to tree and trying to avoid the water as much as possible. There isn't much to say about it other than there was a lot of flipping and precision jumping. The freedom felt amazing. The last few jumps were the best. I jumped from one tree to the one in front of me and I spun around to the other side of it. I then jumped over to a large rock and jumped off of that onto a very high tree. I leaped off of this tree before I realized that there's nothing to jump to. Although I fell from a great hight, I was okay because I did a roll.

Now my goal was to get to the top of the cliff in front of me and out of the valley. I saw a crevice that I could wall jump on next to the waterfall. I ran straight towards it, but then I stopped when I saw a spiked wall to the left of it. The wall shot out and just barely missed me. I ran past the wall and into the crevice as the trap slowly reset itself. I then wall jumped all the way to the top. I even slid all the way back down right after just to do it again.

At the top was a great mansion that the river flowed around. I entered the mansion through the back door which led to my bedroom. I opened my bedroom door and everything looked like a mansion again. It was mostly empty though as if it had just been bought. I thought my family was in there somewhere and I had to ask my mother something. I searched a few nearby rooms, but I found no one. I then returned to the main hall where I saw my aunt looking outside through the wide open doors.

"Is mom here?" I asked her.
      "Your parents left." She said.
      "Where are they?" I asked.
"Just head north and you'll find them." She said.
"Okay, which way is north?" I asked while looking for a compas.
She pointed outside and said, "That way. Just past the mountains."

Before I went outside, I felt like exploring one more room. It was a living room that actually had furniture and stuff in it. This is when I realized I never stabilized. I started rubbing my hands together and noticed I had a glove on my right hand. It felt pretty real and the dream started to become more vivid than it already was. Suddenly I remembered hearing something about stabilizing by licking things. I licked my glove and it tasted like any other glove. I saw a glass table in front of me and then decided to try licking it. After I licked it there was a disgusting taste in my mouth. I looked at the table and saw that there was a yellow slime on it. I then spent the next 30 seconds scraping off my tounge and spitting the taste out. The dream became almost as vivid as real life, but I still wish I hadn't licked the table.

I then went outside to start my journey. The path looked like it would require me to go a long way east to go around the mountains. There were also mountains to the east though, so I figured it wouldn't be a favorable road. I thought about flying over the mountains, but I really just don't like standard flying in dreams. I kind of got distracted from my goal here and remembered my draconic roar. I figured that since I was still knew to it, I should practice it and try to make it stronger. I did at least five roars and each one was much louder than the ones from previous dreams. It was like the Lion King with the volume at 100. Most of my roars were just aimed into the sky where they wouldn't have an effect on anything. My last roar though, I looked at a tree, took a deep breath, and made an amazing sounding roar. It also instantly blasted the tree in two, which I thought was just great.

I then remembered that I needed to get over the mountains, and at the same time remembered that I'm Dragonborn. So I figured I could just fly a dragon. I looked towards the mountains to the east and held my hands out. "Summon dragons!" I commanded. I then saw a baby ice dragon and a baby earth dragon fly out from behind the mountains. I also saw the image of a giant (mountain size) earth dragon in the distance, but it didn't move. The two baby dragons started playing together in the air for a little bit before they finally landed in front of me. I reached out my hand and moved slowly towards the white one.

"Hey buddy!" I said as I moved towards it. The two dragons started to back away from me.
"Don't be scared, it's okay." I said trying to calm them. As I moved closer into their space, they started to become aggressive.
"No, no, I'm friendly! See?" I said holding my hand out to it.
"Oh shit!" I yelled as tried to bite me.

The ice dragon nearly bit my arm and the two of them were starting to growl at me. If I were to make one more attempt they would tear me to shreds in seconds. I guess baby dragons are just more timid and aggressive. It's not like I could fight against them though. You don't hurt the creature you're trying to befriend. Then an idea hit me. Summon a teacher!

For some reason I'm just no good at summoning people, but I'm really good at summoning dragons. So what if I summoned a dragon with a person riding it? I held my hand out and looked towards the mountains again. "Summon dragon tamer!" I commanded. I waited a few seconds before seeing a figure come out from behind the mountain. A fire dragon with a man on it then appeared next to me. The man was dressed in a funny outfit that reminded me a lot of the squire from many dreams ago.

"How do I tame one of these dragons?" I asked him.
      "With a ball." He said.
      "A ball...?" I said confused.
"You can use it to distract them long enough to get close and make friends with them." He explained to me.

He then pulled out a yellow ball that got the green dragon's attention. He tossed it and the dragon caught it and started to happily play with it. He then moved in close to it and started petting the dragon. It worked, and he had made the dragon his pet. The dragon tamer handed me the yellow ball and told me to try. I looked towards the white dragon, but it got scared and started running down the road. Naturally, I chased after it. When the dragon realized I was chasing it, it started to fly low to the ground. Then there were fences and walls in my way, but I managed to jump and flip over them. The dragon was starting to tire as chase went on, but my dad woke me up before the end.

      End

If the dragons weren't so timid I think this would have been the perfect lucid dream. I feel like I did learn something from all this though. Only problem is I don't care enough at the moment to figure that out.
    15. Healing Potion Quest(December 31, 2011)

by , 01-03-2012 at 02:32 AM (Chronicles of Ethos)
      DreamLucidAwake

I felt like this dream should have been recorded, but it became fragmented after a couple days. I can't remember any of the before lucid stuff.

      Healing Potion Quest

I was inside my grandmother's house at the front door. There was a female elf laying there, who may or may not be the same one from my last entry. She was in pain and dying after being attacked by either me or something else. I can't remember. She mentioned something about finding a healing potion.

Healing potions are always in a vial full of a red liquid for no reason at all. So I kept that in mind as I searched the house. I started in the living room and looked among the tables and shelves. I found a scented red candle sitting on a shelf. I figured it was a potion because it was something red inside a glass and smelled interesting. I ran back to the girl with the candle and smashed it onto the ground next to her.

      "That's a candle..." She mumbled.
"Damn it." I said, realizing how stupid it was to both pick a candle and to smash it.
"Okay, don't move. I'll check the bedroom!" I told her.

I ran about half way down the hallway before I heard a scream. I ran back to her and saw about three goblins with spears surrounding her. They got a few swipes in before I jumped between them and the elf. I grabbed the goblin to the right and smashed it into the middle one. Surprisingly that's all it took to kill them. The one to the left then made a jump towards me. I kicked it as hard as I could and it flew across the room and hit the wall. This one made an attempt to get back up. I finished it off with my draconic roar that blasted the goblin into the wall. I learned that my roar has a secondary effect. It released some sort of pressure wave that left the room in a mess. I was impressed by that.

My attention quickly went back to the elf. She looked like she would only last a minute at best before bleeding out. I then got an idea to summon a potion. I told myself, "There's a potion in the fridge." I then ran into the kitchen and saw an empty vial sitting on the counter. I took it and then opened the fridge. I found a lone pitcher full of a red liquid inside. I poured it into the vial and swished it around a little. I ran back to the girl as quick as I could. Sadly I was too late though. She died just as I crouched in front of her. The dream ended after I said a few sad things.

      End

This is the second time someone has died when I could have easily saved them. I seriously need to unlock my healing magic.
