      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 13

Numerous dreams recalled today, including a surprise DILD at the end. However, besides the LD, all dreams today are just fragments.

      Scrap Group 1

Wandering in an urban environment. Go into dingy, a roach-infested apartment room. Meet up with a few familiar people there.

Uncle Gary talks about going from selling automobiles to owning online wholesale outlet. I wonder if he's even savvy enough to use a web browser.

At home. Various friends (including a fictional dark haired woman I've never seen before) and family members were there. I was embarrassed to be in my bedclothes. Went to laundry to look for shoes and shorts. I accidentally slammed into the dryer, causing others to shout at me. Overheard more guests arriving, and met up with even two more unfamiliar "familiar" figures. Later, two short, middle aged half-Asian people showed up. They rudely ignored everyone's greetings and walked straight to dad. Guess they were only there to visit him.

Some Steven Universe related dream. After many silly antics, Greg and Amethyst decide to get engaged. I wake up wondering why I'm still thinking of such things.

Watching a heavily re-edited version of the Nappa fight in DBZ Abridged. Nappa's Explosive Burst attack is far more destructive. As the others dodge, Chiaotzu is killed by Nappa tackling him.

More thorough, unintended WBTB. Took a while before I got to sleep.

      Dream 1 - Summer Lucid Competition - Day 13

The visuals were clear. I was working at my old job in the gas station, out in the lots at a bright blue day.

A customer soon complains of identity theft occurring right from pump's card readers. I'm at a loss for words. On glancing at the display, I find a wire sticking out from within. I dread how this situation's gonna get handled.

I go into the convenience store, where it seems no one else was attending the lone customer there. As I'm heading to the register, I realized I've not worked there in a long time, and thus, gain lucidity. I calm down, and mutter "deeper" to anchor myself. At the registers, I see Gerardo and someone else lingering around. Both me and the former coldly greeted each other. I peek at the main register, and find the menu's a weird hybrid of the original and of the nearby lotto machine's interface. Almost got distracted with getting the sale done. As such, I walked out with no concerns of getting yelled at.

Once outside, I remembered that Infinity Gauntlet task I set for myself. So, I tried the basic remove/return hand from view trick, and, to my surprise, found the gauntlet donned on my hand... mostly, as it was partially faded in both sensation and visuals. Seemed only the green Soul and violet Space Gems were placed on it. I raised my fist, and called out for the Power Gem to summon it. Instead, the visuals immediately collapsed. I relax, and mutter "deeper" until the environment is restored. I repeated the summoning trick numerous other times, with fluctuating results, it's presence either getting weaker or stronger.

This went nowhere. So, I tried getting the Chaos Emeralds instead. Did the same trick, but nothing happened. I did so a few more times while sounding an appropriate jingle. In a few instances, when my hand returned, a bright jolt flew out of it, but no stone was there.

Tried another basic summoning attempt, this time for my dream guide, E. I reached back, and said "I know you're around here somewhere" to myself. I waited until I felt something. Once I did, I pulled whatever it was in view. What I got was a smaller, lighter-skinned hand, partially discorporated, and partially melded into my own. It twitched and moved around autonomously. Surely, just part of her form. Unnerved, I shook my hand until the other one vanished.

I cut that out, and walked down unfamiliar hilled street. Had to restabilize the dream, and I demanded the dream keep stable until I reached the top of the hill.

Then, I took a detour into a long, arborous apartment building entrance. Thought to phase through a tree. When I tried, I simply bumped into it. So, I pushed my hand on it, and waited to partially phase. Instead of that, scalding liquid seeped through tree. I reeled back. Better try somehwhere else. That red painted brick wall nearby seemed a good spot. I put hand on it, only to have similar liquid emerge. No matter. I continued onward. But then, to my horror, my skin began to melt. I yanked it out, and wondered how painful this all would have been if it were real.

Well, I tried again, and thought to melt myself purposefully as well. So, I placed my entire front side on wall, and felt myself slowly turning into melted flesh. This as taking far too long for comfort, and the disturbingly warm, sizzling sensation didn't help matters either. Abort! Abort!

      I wake up immediately afterwards

Very bad sleep again for certain reasons. There's about four dreams I could identify today. However, I've forgotten the first one entirely, and the other non-LD is but a fragment at the moment.

Overly long WBTB preceded this. Eventually, I go through a successful WILD.

      Dream 1 - Summer Lucid Competition - Day 12 - Part 1

The visuals were blurred. I was falsely awakening in an unknown bedroom. From the start, I had awareness.

I floated off the bed, and tried levitating through the ceiling. Once I got there, I awaken immediately. I DIELD back in within minutes.

      Dream 2 - Summer Lucid Competition - Day 12 - Part 2

A familiar dizzying sensation signaled a successful transition.

Before anything, I repeated "deeper" to keep anchored. With that done, I floated around again. This movement was a bit difficult to control Next, I looked for any sign of my dream guide's presence, but found none.

For quick points, I dropped sideways to the floor with the intent of phasing through. Due to the aforementioned difficulty, it took a very long time to reach there. Furthermore, I couldn't pass through at all. Luckily, I remembered Sivason's technique for correcting this. I placed my hand flat on the floor, and waited patiently until it partially phased. Then, I continued with the rest of me. This felt much like if one plunged themselves within a vast field of static electricity.

Seems I got taken to a grey void. I realized my left eye was closing shut against my will. Even trying to pry it open with both hands did little good. Figured this had to do with my sleeping sideways this time.

I awaken between trying to correct these visuals.

      Scrap Group 1

Adrian and I are discussing Duelyst. He feels the Mogwai's (incorrectly referred to as Wind Runner) card drawing ability is overpowered. I claim the Spelljammer is a superior choice, despite her drawing extra cards for both players.

Slept quite soundly today. Too soundly, as I drifted off each time I was recalling a dream. In the end, I'm only left with a few vague memories.

      Scrap Group 1
Soemthing about wandering in an urban environment.

Watching Dragon Ball Super. A female God of Destruction (similar to Beerus) gets angry at and fights with Whis. She grows giant and tries to eat him.

WBTB attempt at the end. Was far too alert to go back to sleep.

      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 10

Fairly salty at today's results, including forgetting an entire DILD, not to mention all the trouble I had sleeping. Still, I did initiate two WILDs, one of which was chained into the other one. There's also some trash fragment later on as well.

      Scrap Group 1
An entire DILD gone missing when I first woke up very early in my sleep (stupid random waking thoughts...). Highly certain this included interactions with at least two upper tier Team Instinct members, among a bunch of other stuff. That's gonna cost me big points...

WBTB that unintentionally lasted for an hour and a half.

Dream 1 - WILD At Work

WILD transition. The visuals were blurred. I find myself at my old job, working the register. It was fairly busy.

My awareness drifted as I was attending the first customer, but I slowly realize my state. Even then, I preoccupied myself with the sale, all to see if I'd remembered how to get transactions done on that machine. I fumble and mess around a bit. The customer, frustrated, yells at me. I tell them to calm the hell down.

The dream ends shortly afterwards. I return to a WILD state within a five minute interval.

      Dream 2 - Summer Lucid Competition - Day 10

A familiar dizzying sensation marks a successful WILD in bed.

The air from the AC suddenly turns into frigid wind. This reminded me of a previous dream where my dream guide, E was responsible for blowing as much. So, I looked around and called to her. Suddenly, the ghostly moan of a woman echoed in the gusts. I tried getting my (presumed) guide's attention, both verbally, and through a Codec call, but ultimately, I got neither a response nor found anyone around.

Afterwards, I floated around for a bit. This movement was a bit slow and unresponsive. I then fall backwards on the floor and phased right through. From there, I found myself in complete darkness, the area too dim to see whether I was actually downstairs, or in the void. I'd just remembered that previous phasing won't count for points. So, I kicked upwards, and in an instant, I was in my room again.

Hovered around a bit more before I thought to exit through the window. But, I misaim my trajectory, and slam myself headfirst into the wall. What's worse, my eyes were forced shut against my will. Still, I do end up outside, given the sunlight I saw glaring through my eyelids and felt on my skin. Several familiar voices sounded in the distance. These were of Rick and Morty, who were making some banter.

I'm yanked back in bed, and the dream ends immediately afterwards.

      Scrap Group 1

      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 9

My recall was very poor today. Indeed, I'd forgotten much of all dreams today, including a DILD, as well as an entire dream. Part of this was intentional; I decided a good night's sleep was more important this time. In any case, each dream occurred before the first and last known awakenings, respectively.

Dream 1 - Teal Instinct Dude

The visuals were a bit blurred. All I remember was the end. I was playing Mega Man X, making a run through the metal forest stage. Somehow, I realize it's a dream. I end up summoning a Team Instinct member in-game (if only I could remember who; I only know this was a low-tier), who jumped in from off screen. They appeared as a teal armored, visored Reploid. My partner was very fragile, only able to take one hit before dying. But, the use of any special weapons (a few of which I'm sure were named after Magic - The Gathering cards) granted them a substantial temporary health boost.

      The dream ends shortly afterwards.

Unintended WBTB after an unsuccessful DIELD attempt. Took about 15 minutes. Fell asleep unwittingly.

      Scrap Group 1

Some Dragon Ball Z dream. Goku and a young Gohan are training. The latter is highly enraged, and attacks his father relentlessly. Cut. I'm wandering in some bleak NYC urban streets. Meet up with my brother Percy in an apartment room. I find my head is shaved. Go outside, where I run across a very wide, dangerous street. I almost got ran over for my trouble. I arrive at a town square. A couple in their early twenties walk ahead. Someone taps my shoulder. I suspect it was the guy ahead of me, and I yell at him, while he insults me. I'm still getting poked while he was way ahead. So, I warned I would kick whoever was behind me if they didn't show themselves. I turn around, and and am surprised to find it was Eustace, an old acquaintance of mine. I questioned his presence, while he wondered how I didn't know he lived and worked in NYC. There's an odd, violet reflection in his irises. As we're walking around a garden/fountain, I sit cross-legged and float around to show off. Pretty sure I was catching on to the dream, but the alarm's buzzing made short work of that.

      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 8

Terrible sleep last night. Strong intent and a restless mindset really don't combine well... Despite my lack of sleep, I did manage to have a number of dreams, at least five in total, (not counting that brief WILD entry), including one before my first awakening, several dreams during a bout of hours-long insomnia, and one WILD in between. I've forgotten one non-LD entirely by this point, while two of them are only fragments.

      Scrap Group 1
Something about Guilty Gear. Waking thoughts on Zappa's spirit orbs and ghost summons, particularly Raoh.

Intended a 45 minute WBTB, where I wasted half that time on trivia, and used the other half to keep the competition tasks in mind. Cue my not being able to sleep for a long time no matter how comfortable I got.

In a fancy party at an unknown place. My brother, Timothy, was with me. I encounter some friends and acquaintances in a dining room, all being part of my old D&D group, including Allen, "Eddy", and I think Jabir. They were starting a TTRPG session, but it was too late for me to join in. Several books were unrelated (one was for something called "Champions", and a few others were for differing editions of D&D). On asking, I'm told they were just using the artwork. Later, I wander in a reception room filled with well dressed men and women. People were filed in a big line to get appetizers. I saw my sister, Gisella was there. I thought to sample some food, but decided not to. Later, it was revealed that the food was charged at an exorbitant price.

Dream 1 - Top Gear - Armored Edition

A familiar sensation marked a successful WILD.

Through the darkness, an animated image was instantly formed. This seemed as a clip of the SNES racing game Top Gear (unrelated to the English show), background music included (track 4, I believe). However, instead of race cars, the player used tanks and armored vehicles. I took control of a tank. Several traffic barriers and armored trucks barricaded the road at times. In each of these instances, there would be a convenient ramp in place, which the tank could make use of somehow. It was either that, or plow right through at the cost of slowing oneself down.

The dream faded and ended in about two minutes.

Dream 2 - Magical Dwarven Studies

The visuals were blurred. I was in a very small and cramped classroom.n There was just enough space to occupy no more than ten other adolescent students, as well as the unknown female teacher's desk.

Soon, the teacher gave a lecture on Dwarf Fortress, of all things. We were tasked with finding the most productive location within a given generated 195 year old world. We'd access to some holographic device, of which displayed the entire game world in top-down 3D. This even showed the various hidden sites and structures (such as cave entrances), as well as the entire underground map. Furthermore, important figures and groups (including armies, Forgotten Beasts, Megabeasts, and Titans) were seen moving around as specifically colored points on the display (quite sure armies were yellow, and Forgotten Beasts were red). I zoomed in on a forest bordering a mountainside. Seemed a decent place to start, though several beasts regularly trekked around there, making for lots of potential "Fun".

Then, the game's regular ASCII embark menu is shown. From a survey, I notice said location had, between three intersecting biomes, many kinds of minerals in both the surface and deep underground, as well as some precious, precious flux stone. But, on using that other tool to scan underground, I find there's no sedimentary layer, and most of the metal veins are only within a very wide metamorphic layer. Bleh, that means no iron or steel, or even mineral coal. Best to find somewhere else.

In between this "classwork", the teacher hands the other students and I two chocolate chip cookies each. I immediately eat one and half of these. One happened to be white chocolate. Yummy!

Suddenly, an unknown emergency interrupts our "studies". The panicked teacher hurries us all into a nearby closet for safety. I then "remembered" having some (actually magical) Magic - The Gathering cards, of which I drew a good hand. One Sorcery looked as if it could immediately take care of the problem, but only if I'd sacrifice a permanent of mine. All I could think to remove were the cookies, but I doubted the spell would work with only a half-eaten portion. Oh, well. I sat there patiently to wait out the storm.

Not sure what else happened until the dream ended.

All these dreams occurred well into the morning. By this point, the non-LD's are scraps.

WBTB at 5:30 AM. Got distracted by trivia during it. This as meant to be 30-minutes, but discomfort in bed turned this into a two hour ordeal.

      Scrap Group 1

In a party at an unknown home. Wyatt's playing a trading card game with some kid. This may have lead to the next dream

      Dream 1 - Youthful Awareness

The visuals were blurred. I was in a larger version of my home's living room. There was a fancy party going on, what with all the guests donned in formal clothing. I quickly notice I'm only half my height, as if I were much younger. Thus, I gain awareness.

Soon, I overhear some familiar voices nearby. One sounded like my "cousin", Rosalinda, while the other was clearly Vera. Rosalinda leans to look down on me when I walk close to her. I try looking up at her face, but the environment starts destabalizing. A few slow breaths fixes this, and clarifies the visuals entirely. Now, I see she appears different, being too old and homely looking. I turn to Vera, who's noticeably younger. Both speak about me, but I only hear jibberish. I try responding, but lacked a voice.

Next, I wander around to look for my dream guide, E, but it seems there was no one that fit her description. The environment begins fading, and the dream ends a half minute later.

      Scrap Group 2
Doing some kind of Metal Gear Solid-esque sneaking mission inside a military base. Somehow, this relates to the next dream.

      Dream 2 - Monkey Business

The visuals were blurred. I was walking down a long, crowded stairs in an unknown facility, the walls of white cement.

At some intervals, I'd stop halfway to the next floor to jump all the way down to the landers. Someone gets annoyed at my delay, and I overheard him whisper he'll probably stomp on me if I stalled him further. No matter. I continued doing this until I reach to bottom. Said person, now frustrated, threatened he was pouncing in after me, but I evaded this in time.

I walked through a back door, only to immediately end up stepping out of the main entrance of a brown government building. Somehow, I remembered the previous LD, which sparks awareness.

As I descend some short, wide steps, I find two monkeys lingering at the bottom. One looks like a skinny baby chimp with a tail, while the other's a fairly large grey haired alpha baboon. Both bumble towards me, and gesture to hold my hand, to which I comply.

After a few paces, we immediately wander into a forest. The baby signals to get picked up. The baboon is visibly jealous as I did this. Anyway, the "chimp" kicks its legs and flails its in excitement as I lift it. In fact, it unintentionally scratched me pretty badly with its feet, and its pinky finger somehow gets lodged between my left eyelids. I try to gently remove it, only to have it clawed in deeper.

I immediately wake up momentarily feeling that pinky in my eye before it fades away.

      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 6

Not many dreams recalled today, just a fragment before 7AM, another during a WILD attempt later on, and a related DILD after that. The last two are... a bit embarrassing for me to post, but for the sake of the competition...

      Scrap Group 1
Watching various shows along with my brother, Tito. One was Ultimate Spiderman, which had the title character fighting off against a winged hybrid of Carnage and Venom. Another was an Attack on Titan-esque show set in present-day. Rewinded and fast forward-ed the clips various times.

Several fragments revolving around my dream guide, E. In one of these, I'm making a cake for her in bed (somehow), and ask her to get me some milk. She... uh, squeezes me an entire bowl's worth of her breastmilk... Definitely not what I had in mind... A similar scenario plays out later, save that we were in a vehicle parked in a run down urban environment. Cue the next dream.

      Dream 1 - Oh, Behave!

The visuals were very dim. I was laying down in the void. E was reclining next to me in the form of a nude,~20ft tall, plump giantess, her figure mildly glowing in a blue aura. I was aware of the dream.

At a wild impulse, I... suckled on her, just to see how that milk tasted. She was not amused in the least. In retribution, E thrashed me around, first by repeatedly slamming me head first in a non-existant hard floor, then by squeezing the air out of me, and later biting and shaking me around by my right shoulder. As a grim finale, she holds me down to gnaw on the same shoulder, literally licking my wounds as she did. Despite all the violent motions, impacts, and torn flesh, there was no pain in any of this. Didn't make it any less startling...

      I awaken immediately afterwards.

      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 5

There were several dreams I identified today, two between 3:30 and 4AM, and the rest after I finally got some sleep. Most of these are but fragments at the moment.

      Scrap Group 1

Yet another dream where I'm in combat against a Dream Views members, this time, in a live action Magic - The Gathering match.

Forced WBTB due to a terrible case of insomnia. Stayed up for almost four hours without sleep. Bleh.

Walking around a suburban apartment complex. Floods left the surrounding gardens and lots into a swampland. As I slogged though, I'm shocked to find numerous decomposing animal carcasses, including several big lizards, half a dozen toads, a huge constrictor snake, and a large rat or two. Someone there quips on my not noticing beforehand. I try continuing, but the stench and vermin (both flying and grounded) become too much to bear.

In a hotel room with several family members (mom, dad, and Osmand identified). I go to "sleep". A commotion briefly awakens me, but I'm too tired to stay up. When I'm back to my senses, Osmand and mom chastise me for sleeping through an emergency. I feel very ashamed. Go to "sleep" again. Then, a dream within a dream, where a leather clad, grey skinned, dark haired vampire lady was embracing me in bed. I couldn't move, and was helpless as she drained me from my arm and neck. We conversed casually between her feast. When I "woke" up, I floated over to the hotel's bathroom to get ready for the day.

Dream 1 - Dismay in Egypt

The visuals were blurred. False awakening in the master bedroom. I'm too weak to move. As I lingered, I'm transitioned.

I turn up in an ancient Egyptian court. There, I meet with Ramesses, as depicted in Civilization V. Indeed, the menus from said game are displayed shortly into our talks. I'm annoyed at him for some reason, and think to go to war, but I relent when I see he's actually guarded and afraid of me. He makes an even trade for a few luxury resources (a first for the AI), and even throws in some gold for good measure. I feel kinda bad, and think to let him keep the gold, but I get greedy.

Afterwards, I wander outside in the Egyptian deserts at day, the Great Pyramids in view. Suddenly, that vampire from before shows up. In one fell swoop, she grows gigantic, picks me up in her arms, and carries me off into a sandstorm.

      I wake up shortly afterwards.

Not many things recalled this time. Besides the lone DILD, I only have scraps for a single dream. Of the DILD, I probably would have gotten more done if I didn't try to show off as I did. Darnit.

      Scrap Group 1
Woke up on the floor of an unknown place. A look at a mirror revealed terrible rashes on my scalp patterned as mattress seams. My brother, Steve, nephew, Arun, and friend, Stan, turn up. A conversation on lucid dreaming and dream control ensues. D'oh!

30 minute WBTB, which instead becomes an hour and fifteen minute long WBTB.

      Dream 1 - Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Day 4

Scene 1 - Black Energy Orbs
The visuals were clear. I falsely awakened in my room upstairs.

On stepping out, I find a surprising figure arriving from the master bedroom: my maternal grandma, who's since passed for several years now. She was wearing a light blue dress with floral patterns. Her presence instantly gives me awareness.

I greeted her, but am reluctant to start up a conversation (still reeling back after a previous dream incident). She smiles back. Next, she hands me a plastic bag full of trash and asks me to dispose of it, to which I agree. I then jump right over the low wall and fall all the way downstairs. The dream blurs up, and I lose myself momentarily.

When I come to, I'm right back in the second floor. Grandma was still standing around. She asked me to remind mom of some mundane thing (groceries or medicine or something). I nodded, and jump back downstairs again. This time, I slowed my fall, and muttered "deeper" to keep stability and anchor myself, which did the trick.

Downstairs. Several figures were around the living room, but I ignored them. As I was making my way out, I thought to summon energy. I tensed my right hand and yelled to do so, but nothing seemed to happen. Tried again, this time keeping my hands out of view and straining myself further. When I looked, I found a reflective black orb of energy floating over my palm. I made it dance around in the air for a while. It rolled off view momentarily, and when I tried bringing it back, it was gone. So, I repeated the trick with both hands. I tossed the spheres, and willed them to orbit around me in a cross pattern to store them for later, but again, once out of sight, they vanished. Ah, well.

I go outside to a much different neighborhood. Instead of a housing complex, my home was located directly in a suburban street. Anyway, as I walk around, I see my younger brother, Jonas, driving a convertible version of his vehicle along with several of his friends. He stops to tell me stern news about dad. That dampened the mood. The dialogue drags on a bit until he leaves.

As I go on, I find a number of figures gathered around a corner. They were reclining and standing on a few disjointed platforms placed over a shallow, muddy pond far below, all covered by a wide green canopy. Many were Japanese kids (hinted at by their conversation) of highschool age , including an effeminate guy in a pink shirt and several girls.

Just realized a storm had commenced. I crept on an isolated platform, only to find it was slippery and dangerously unstable. Around that time, Jonas drove by the area. He momentarily glared at me before driving off. Ah, whatever. To keep from falling, I seated myself crosslegged and floated up towards a railing nearby. I couldn't squeeze between it and the canopy, and so had stop flying to hang on and climb over it instead.

Not too clear on much else. A transition afterwards.

Scene 2 - Castlevania - The Arcade Game

The visuals were slightly blurred. Not too sure where I was. I'd lost awareness by this point.

Someone nearby was playing a supposed beat-em-up Castlevania game on an arcade cabinet. This had the protagonist (not clear which one) fighting monsters while on a craggy beach at twilight. He soon fights the boss, Scylla, who appeared quite different. In this rendition, she had the body, arms, and tentacles of a humongous squid/octopus, the many long necks of a hydra, and giant heads of what would otherwise be conventionally attractive women with a variety of hair colors (at least one blonde, one brunette, and one with black hair). To damage her, the hero needed to outlast a tentacle assault until the creature swooped a head down to bite him.

The dream faded and ended soon afterwards.

      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 3

There were many dreams this time, including a DILD at the end. However, all but the last one are only fragments now, if not completely forgotten.

      Scrap Group 1

Two different dreams involving my fighting a Dream Views member.

Last days of school. Handed back paperwork. Radio plays some video game music, which annoys the female teacher. Mom and dad are there briefly. The former gets a bit upset at my grades in a few assignments. Turns out the teacher, another student and I were there as secret agents tasked with retrieving some valuable object. We were equipped with special tools and strength augmenting bionics for the job. I pick up the McGuffin too early, causing steel doors and grates to bar all exits. Reprimanded by the others; we'd exhausted all of our given resources. Luckily, I happened to have an explosive device handy for just such an occasion.

At home. Watching some history program related to a war. There's a knock on the door. I ignore it. Mom gets annoyed that no one else but her went to open it. Some Asian people deliver a package. They claim my Japanese teacher from way back in highschool is due for a visit. This must have been a very important event, for we all scrambled around to tidy up the place. I was still upstairs when she finally arrived. Never got to see her, though.

WBTB for 30 minutes, which turned into an hour instead.

      Dream 1 - Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Day 3

Scene 1 - Fun and Practice in the Yard
The visuals were a bit blurred and dim. I was at my home's living room at night. Several family members were around. After some mundane stuff, I quickly realize the dream state.

First, I go out to the backyard, doing so by phasing right through the closed, curtained glass door. Once there, I levitate for a bit, but could only hover for a few seconds before the strain forces me back down. Still, I purposefully rise and fall as a "workout". Afterwards, I fall backwards to warp somewhere else, muttering "deeper" to keep anchored and stable. I simply land on the (unusually barren) ground without incident. Furthermore, I sensed my body stirring in bed, but I keep keep calm, and mutter "deeper" once again.

      Cue a transition.

      Scene 2 - Can't Reach the Building
The visuals were brighter and clearer. I was in a suburbs bordering an urban area at a clear day. Various people were around. I'd momentarily lost lucidity, but pick it up just as quickly.

At that moment, I jump to making a "Codec" call to my dream guide, E. She doesn't response. Guess I'll just have to go on my own. Then, after darting around, I notice a lone apartment building in the distance. Seemed an adequate place to do the spider climb task. So, I head over there while muttering "deeper".

      Another unwitting transition

Scene 3 - Stubborn Dream Control

The visuals were dimmer. I was within a large, fancy facility, its interior of gleaming brown marble. Much activity was going on in the background. I was still lucid.

Wander a around for a bit, all while re-anchoring every minute or so. I try teleporting by phasing again, specifying to turn up near a tall building. So, I try walking through a wall while using the mantra, only to bump face first into it. Did so again at various different places, including a lounge and a hallway, but still nothing.

Next, I wander into a reception area, the high ceiling held up by very, very large pillars. I tried phasing through a pillar to similar results. Got curious of my strength. So, I tried pulling up a pillar. This required effort, but I managed to yank it out of the ground like a stubborn weed. I even lugged it around for a half minute or so, but it was very heavy and unwieldy, so I dropped it when I got too strained. Just realized the roof might cave in. It seemed others shared such a concern, given how quickly they were leaving. I decided to follow suit.

As I traveled down a hallway, I wondered if merely muttering teleport would do. So, I tried this. The environment immediately fizzles out. I keep focused, imagining this was simply part of the process. Coincidentally, a vague "loading" bar shows up.

Slowly but surely, I'm transitioned again.

Scene 4 - Can't Reach the Building... Again
The visuals brighter. I was in a suburban area similar to before. Still aware. Rows of apartment buildings are visible a few blocks away. An even better place for the spider climb task.

As I approach, I'm unwittingly transition yet again.

Scene 5 - High Tension Water Control

The visuals were slightly blurrier. I was wading in a beach under stormy skies. Waist high, turbulent waters rushed past me. This place was packed with beach-goers.

For a moment, I simply examined the vivid smell and sensation of the ocean. Such appreciation was interrupted by a huge wave, which knocked me and many others back. Strangely, I was never fully submerged. Thinking this fun, I allowed tides to batter me around, though I never did reach the shore despite how far the waves carried me off. Concurrently, part of "Song 2" by Blur sounded in the background.

Then, I wondered if I could make things more exciting by summoning a sea monster. I turned away from the waves, and imagined people screaming and running out of beach for their lives to signal it's entrance. The others did do as much, a few of which even voiced a stock scream or two. I turned back, anticipating a huge beast, but didn't find such a thing. Instead, I was met with much, much larger waves.

In desperation, I held my arms up towards the water. This unwittingly stalled the water in its tracks. I focused to hold it back, at least just enough so it wouldn't crash down on me too violently. When several other waves approached, I was able to redirect them directly over and past me.

The tides calmed down for a bit. I was curious of this new power. So, I tried lifting a waterball, but couldn't. This made me doubt whether I had any control of this at all. Suddenly, even more enormous waves turn up. I stood fast, and, wilfully this time, delayed them as before. Figured this only worked during high tides or high tension.

I go on for a bit, but eventually, I mistime the technique. Thus, a wave bashes me right out of the dream.

      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 2

There were many dreams today, including a DILD after my first WBTB. However, I've forgotten much of the others, and even of those three that I could identify, two of them are only fragments.

Before the following, I do a 45 minute WBTB, which turned into an hour and 45 minute WBTB instead.

      Dream 1 - Plane Flip

The visuals were pretty clear. I was a passenger in a small car, being taken down a long road at daytime. Grassy hills remained in view at my right. Driving the vehicle was my uncle, Felix.

We stop at a red light. My uncle cuts ahead a bit, but backs up when he "remembered" his previous traffic citation. This all seemed very familiar... Anyway, he eventually makes a long right turn into a long, curved highway ramp. Soon, a large bridge is in sight. The George Washington Bridge, I thought, heading to New York. As I look around for the cityscape, I instead find the shadow of a mountainside in the distance. Just then, I realized I lived a few thousand miles away from this area, and thus, attain lucidity.

I fly out. The dream starts fading into brown. So, I stabilize and anchor myself by muttering "deeper". In time, the environment reforms. I'm then floating over a grassy flatland with the distinctive blocky textures of Minecraft. Eh, done that. I grumble "deeper" a few more times, and willfully drop through the ground.

As it turned out, this plane was only paper thin. I'm unexpectedly "flipped" into another area, its gravity completely reversed. After readjusting myself, I see I'm hovering high over a series of grass-topped, narrow plateaus. Still had the same cheap, boxy textures as before, if a bit brighter and clearer. Let's go deeper.

Dived head first through the ground again with the intent to "flip" planes once more. Once inverted, I see I'm ducked down on a pebbly brook. This time, the visuals were realistic, though a bit dimmer. Still, this was much better overall. I played around with the water, splashing it around and letting it drift past my hands. Got a little too caught up with this; couldn't help but appreciate its lifelike, cool dampness.

Well, I snap out of this after a minute or so. I tried looking around, only to find I can't move my neck. Stay calm. Just move on. I used my "Codec Device" to call my dream guide, E, but there was no response. Then, seconds after I gave up, a small, 8-bit figure appeared in view from my left. This seemed as a lady in a black cloak. She spoke to me in white text, though the words scrolled too fast for me to accurately read everything but her name (only remember it was an adverb; "Still", I think?). I'm quite certain this sprite-lady gave a snippy explanation as to why my guide wasn't going to show. She walked off-view immediately afterwards.

Then, a bright spark bounces around in front of me. This begins shattering the environment. I maintain my grasp for half a minute before the dream collapses entirely.

      Scrap Group 1
Waking up in a hotel room on a fluffy, pink covered and white bed. Next to that was an even smaller, pinker bed designed for children. The area was a bit messy. Mom and dad were nearby.

Found several large roaches around the house, encountering them in some very unlikely spots each time (besides the laundry room). As I wake up, I feel a creeping sensation. I'm uncertain if it's real or not, and hesitate. Eventually, I blew air at it, where I then feel and hear the distinctive humming of large insect wings. Oh crap. I freeze in panic, and, once possible, instinctually try brushing it off. There's nothing there, just an illusion.

      Dream 2 - "Reality" Bites

The visuals were clear. I was sitting in my home's dining room at daytime. Levon was nearby.

As I was eating a meal from a bowl (porridge, I think), my lower left-most flat tooth snaps right off. I spit it out, and taste a distinctive mixture of blood and wheat. After staring at it haplessly for a few seconds, I rush to the bathroom. A look in the mirror did indeed confirm what I feared. I couldn't believe any of this, prompting a breathing test, yet this "proved" the "reality" of the situation.

Still, I refused to accept any of this. As denial, I began running out the door to fly. Mom concurrently opened the door from the outside. Anyway, I leaped in the air and... faceplant. Hard. How embarrassing. The others muttered in confusion. Seeing as I couldn't humiliate myself any more, I just practiced some handstands, much to the further confoundment of everyone else.

      I wake up soon afterwards.

      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 1

Bleh. Not much to note on dreams, one complete one from before dawn, and a number of fragments afterwards. There was one scrap which was LD related, and another where I should have identified the state, but, oh well. That's that.

Dream 1 - Sonic Fights Some Bones

The visuals were slightly blurred. I was watching someone (my nephew?) play a 3D Sonic game, of which took place in the ruins of a destroyed present-day city.

First few minutes were spent exlporing the site and getting a handle for the controls. This included jumping around in a demolished warehouse, and grinding on a row of fallen street lamps. The stage was initially empty of any other figures, whether enemies or just background characters.

Then, as he turned a corner, he was suddenly ambushed by a gigantic, hunched hominid skeleton. Sonic's attacks were useless, and so he was forced to flee. In response, the giant chucked huge (arm or leg) bones with deadly accuracy.

At one point, outright Sonic changes into E-102 Gamma. The robot's too slow to evade the incoming projectiles, but he could redirect these by laser-blasting them away. Unfortunately, the player isn't much of a shooter. He complains of how difficult this all is, while I claim he just needed to work on his technique.

Not sure what happens until the dream ended.

      20 minute WBTB. Unsuccussful.

      Scrap Group 1

Several forgotten dreams connected by a group of similar false awakenings. In these, I'd "awaken" in bed with my dream guide, E, laying next to me. I was too tired and tried getting back to sleep, only for her to harass me by pushing me around and even biting me.

At home. Go Theodore's room to help him fix his computer's DVD drive. Some driver issues, I think? Claude turns up. Several media conversations, including a few comments bemoaning previously liked shows that've disappointed us as time went by. I hoped Rick and Morty wouldn't become one of such shows. Theodore states his dislike of the series for its overt use of gross humor.

Visiting Donny's place, for some reason. He's getting some games set up, when he's called in for work. Overheard his supervisor saying quite some demeaning things. Donny tried hiding his displeasure. Numerous unknown people then turned up, co-workers of his, I thought.

Claude and I are testing out a few things in D&D. We put several character builds against a Forgotten Beast (incorrect reference; that's a generated monster from Dwarf Fortress) to see how long they'd last. The last one, a Wizard, stood virtually no chance. I bemoaned how unfair this was. Claude made a snippy remark of my "needing to think a little" to overcome this. How infuriating. As I walk away, I imagine violently taking out my anger out on him. This illusion takes form, and I identify as much, yet I'm too soured to entirely realize the dream.

      Created Friday 15 July 2016

There were three dreams I recalled today, including a late DILD at the end, to which I bagged this month's Bonus task. The first one is just a fragment now, though that was wilfully forgotten on my part; the first half was just kinda yucky.

      Scrap Group 1
Skip gross part. Later, something of "chibi" human heads eating tiny people like candy.

Dream 1 - Don't Mind the Senseless Transition

The visuals were dim. I was wandering at a parking lot at late dusk.

As I searched for my vehicle (whatever that was), I suddenly turn up at the backseat of a car. My sister, Giane, and my brother, Terry, were there. I question how I'd no memory of getting there. Supposedly, I spaced out for a moment, during which I was taken inside said car. That didn't make much sense even at the time, yet I just left it at that.

Soon, Giane recieves a phone call. On the other line were two cousins, Carlos and Isabella, who were supposedly visiting. They wanted us to go to a restaurant to speak. Terry and I were not up to it, though I reluctantly change my mind when Carlos assured me he'd take the bill.

One highway drive later, and I go within an unknown home. This place was a bit messy, and not in good repair. Mom shows up. She claims we rented the place for a few nights as part of a vacation, I think. Most of the luggage was still packed. I look through the cupboards in the kitchen. On the higher ones, I find several plastic canisters filled with crackers. Certainly, we came more prepared than I expected.

Things get unclear. I know I wander around for a while. Not sure how the dream ends.

      Dream 2 - Quick Quake

The visuals were dim. I falsely awaken in the downstairs bedroom at early dawn. Both being in this location and my inability to move makes me aware of my state.

I immediately try the earthquake TOTM by will alone. And just like that, the ground trembles with a low rumble. Such violent shaking was very uncomfortable. Even then, the surrounding furniture within and just out of the room hardly budged; they're only barely scraped sideways on the tiled floors, and nothing on or within them are toppled over.

After about ~30 seconds, I'm transitioned, though I know nothing else of what occurred until I awaken.

      Created Thursday 14 July 2016

Technically, there were a total of four dreams I recalled today, one which briefly became a DILD, and another which I chained into a DEILD. I'll just count the last as a single dream. Furthermore, I've only a hint of what the first involved.

      Scrap Group 1

Something about a hotel, and possibly a mall.

Dream 1 - Special Guest at the Gas Station

The visuals were mostly clear. I was working in my old gas station at late dusk. A former co-worker, Tito was also there.

This place was packed, leaving me stuck at the register. At one point, a tanned skinned woman asked for a pack of Motrin, and also buying a small bottle of water. She lugged around large black leather purse and an umbrella, and also had care of several small kids. I reached for the medicine, which was oddly placed amongst some cigarrettes. In her hurried confusion, she almost tried paying me with the Motrin pack. On correcting her, she handed me the required $2.01.

Later, an olive skinned guy was trotting along with a large, plastic, multilayed cart. Very suspicious. I went to the front door, where I for some reason leapt on the ice cream cooler to get his attention. One query on what he needed, and he dropped everything and left abruptly.

Soon, someone buzzed from outside. Out on pump 5, I believe, was a frustrated woman, a black, full-sized van behind her. Several of her kids were running around. The woman was obviously using the hose from the other side of the pump. Through the intercom, the woman complained of the card readers not working. I bade she come inside to resolve this, angering her further.

As things picked up, Jose left elsewhere for undisclosed reasons. I alone had to deal with this parade of a line. A string of transactions later, I serve a thin, short, lightly tanned, dark haired, Hispanic young lady. She'd a long nose and looked rather plain overall, and was dressed in a striped sleeveless shirt and dark spandex. In lieu of buying something, the girl introduced herself.

"I'm Nahiri. I have something to tell you, but it's gonna take a while." I only partially acknowledged her words, my concerns lying more on the ridiculously long queue behind her.

"Er... would you mind if I take care of a few people before we start?", I requested. "I'd really appreciate it." She seemed a bit annoyed. While the next customer approached, I continued.

"Nahiri, huh? That sounds familiar... [Magic - The Gathering], right? Hmmm... wait a minute..."

It clicked. I was in a dream. I made breathing test to confirm this. Unfortunately, this ends the dream immediately.

Dream 2 - Beach Ball Planet

The visuals were mostly clear. I was a passenger in an unknown vehicle, riding around locally at twilight. All of my siblings were with me.

Seems the area was different, what with all the fields and trees in place of the hospital and several communities, much like how it was over a decade ago. Furthermore, a shopping plaza was being constructed where the BJ's would be. We dropped by to look in at several of the unfinished restaurants. One was a since defunct grill restaurant. Another was a Thai restaurant, which would make two so close by. Curiously, one of these places opened prematurely. My brother, Adam, peeked inside for a take-out menu.

Unknown skip. I'm at my bedroom, the sky fully sunlit. Soon, I realized I could fly, and so I zip around the house. This spooks my sister, who was lounging downstairs. So, she left. She takes along an unknown young male who she'd charge of, as well as my baby niece, who appeared as but a newborn. They go in an old, white minivan. I levitate inside to say goodbye, and float out through the sunroof while sitting cross-legged. Could barely make it out before I got my back end scraped by the speeding van.

Next, I take to the skies, spinning and dashing through the clouds. I enjoy myself for a few minutes before I fly back down to my neighborhood. While heading home, I glance at a startled neighbor woman smiling nervously at me. Then, I notice an odd, dark figure on my roof. It seemed a twisted man-bat type creature. So, I fly up to chase it away, only to find it was just (or likely changed into) an oversized trash liner. I kicked it off, and seated myself on the roof to relax for a bit.

After that, I flew into my bedroom, where I made flying spin kicks for fun. These attempts came out awkwardly, all too high and imbalanced. Suddenly, I wake up. How disappointing. As I remember the dream, I think to myself "If I were back in and aware of the dream..."

Voip. Just like that, I'm flying high in the clouds, my neighborhood and the entire town visible far below.

      "...I'd try the earthquake TOTM."

Now aware, I thought it best to get to it immediately. I dive down at mach speed, and reel my fist back to ready a punch. Out of courtesy, I tilted myself to land in my backyard. Here it comes. A big impact. I strike the Earth, and... Bop. The entire planet is punted out of orbit like a giant beach ball, with me dragged along with it. Darkness and blurred stars zoom through the sky. Heck, this takes me far enough to pass Mars, the red planet skimming dangerously close for at least a few seconds before it's scrolled out of view. I wondered what sort of climate awaited us in this new orbit. Surely, many animals would go extinct in a short timeframe.

I awaken with such thoughts in head.
