Winter Competition 2024 Signups

Here we go again! Lucid Dreaming Competition time!

This competition is mostly the same as recent ones by Saizaphod, with some new tweaks suggested by the community for daytime practice, previous comp score improvement, and "first time" awards.

You can look at any competition post under Lucid Challenges to see how it works, but in a nutshell you get points for exhibiting premeditated dream control posted here on Dreamviews.

Comp will be held from January 6th - January 20th. Saizaphod will be sending out some invites! If you want in, comment on this thread before 11:59PM January 5th MST (that's 10:59PM for PST and 1:59AM January 6th for EST). I'll do my best to capture stragglers if you're late but no promises! Expect a post from me January 6th with the theme, teams, and competition details defined.

Also post what league you'd like to be in. These affect how some of the points are awarded and team balance. Generally it's easier for beginners to get points versus experts.

-Beginner: Less than one lucid dream per week.
-Intermediate: About one lucid dream per week.
-Expert: More than one lucid dream per week.

I don't have forum permissions to update this post, so I'll just like your post to confirm your attendance. If you have any doubts just message me on Discord and I'll re-confirm.

Also: If we get enough people signing up as experts and the balance makes sense, I've come up with a cool idea we could try out. Otherwise this comp will be organized like normal. If you think you can make the jump to expert, do it!

Some pointers:

-Get into the rhythm of sleeping on a schedule and writing down your dreams starting now if you aren't already. That way by comp time you're mentally primed to be successful.

-Check out Lucid Dream Portal on Youtube for some excellent guidance. I've personally improved immensely from what he has had to say (no I don't work for him, just a big fan).

Expert league this time. I want to test my limits, and (for the foreseeable future) my schedule will allow that chance.

I was starting to miss the competition. Nice to have it back!

I’m signing still for beginners league. My best approach lately was a semi-lucid trying to recover some drawings
