@Both Heh, sometimes I think I ramble on too much. So it makes me glad that you two could enjoy the entry regardless! @JackMcDake " I am surprised that you need air in the water. Even in my non lucid dreams I never run out of air. " As I think about it, the instinct to breath isn't present in all my underwater dreams, even lucid ones. You've given me something to reflect on! @DarkestDarkness "And I agree with Jake, your dream descriptions are very good. I am never sure where I should draw the line on detail description, since I actually like to remember some of the more mundane details, which many times I glaze over in my DJing, though been trying to put them in more casually lately." Hah! Yeah, like I said, I kind of suspect I write too much. There's a balance between detail and brevity, one that I really want to refine. "The most interesting reads from these dreams, for me were: the one with the head, which I found to be quite amusing; and the one with the cake, which made me realise I rarely do much of any eating at all in dreams, even non-lucid. " Heh heh, about that. I'm kind of a self-professed gourmand. I like good food, and (every once in a while) lots of it. That applies in dreams. Even a few of my dream goals revolve around a foodstuff! Anyway, I'm glad this helped you come to your own realization.
Aero the Acrobat, now that's something I haven't thought of in many years! And I agree with Jake, your dream descriptions are very good. You are such a good describer! It feels as tough I am in your dream when I read and I feel my chest bounces out. I am always amazed when dreams leave physichal impressions on me IRL like when you had itchiness on your arm. I am surprised that you need air in the water. Even in my non lucid dreams I never run out of air.
Heh, part of me would've done so as well, if only out of morbid curiosity. I'll think about it if something like this comes up again.
Very interesting dream, though if it was my lucid I'd probably just have encouraged her behaviour. I enjoyed reading the resolution anyway.
I have to say, excellent work converting all of those FAs. I need to work on staying still and checking my state each time I "wake up". Interesting read!
Much obliged, pardner. Things just sort of fell into place on this one, heh.
Congrats! that was a fun adventure, and well done on that task!
Well, if you like bad MS Paint stick figure drawings, I can probably oblige.
If you could draw this would be interesting to see. Good dream too
You disappoint me, taking on such a good form and losing so easily. (I bet that's exactly what'll happen to me at some point, for my dream brain to spite me. )
Heh, that would be the logical thing to do. Unfortuantely, emotions cloud judgement, exponentially so in lucid dreams (and even more in non-lucid ones)...
Simple. I've dreamed of being in such an environment quite a number of times already, and mostly without intending to. I suppose the latter facet is what annoys me the most. I can see where you're coming from. I know in lucid moments you might not feel like you have the time, but have you considered "escaping" blockiness by for example quickly building a portal to somewhere that isn't blocky? I mean, trying to resolve the issue in a less direct way might be helpful? I know that in my case getting annoyed about a circumstance like that and also maybe trying to force it to change wouldn't help me in the long run, since I'd basically be antagonising myself. But I don't really know what your dream control is like exactly (I'm not you, after all ).

Why did the blocky voxel graphics start annoying you? (assuming I read that bit correctly)
Sometimes, the fight finds you.
Interpreting things that way really makes me look like a jerk, lol. "Stealing is wrong, unless I do it!" As for zebra cakes, I guess they're a poor man's version of the above pastry. Being made of layered sponge cakes, the former wouldn't be anywhere near as flaky though. And, in my case, 'warps', unless specifically noted, refers to unintended transitions or changes to the environment. So nope, I never planned doing such.
"Ceiling bashes robber's head, bruising the muscle, fracturing the skull." Also, that pastry incident... "I totally didn't do it! My hand did it all on its own! *stuffed mouth*" I had to look up what Zebra Cakes are; they remind me of "Mille-feuille" (or Thousand Leaves/Sheets). Did you "will it" to warp you somewhere else in the lucid bit, by the way?
If only that "better rewind time" thought worked in waking life.
Hey no worries. I've been having a little dry spell so I haven't been checking here as often as I'd like (since I come here to do the DJ). And that's cool, that description reminds me of concept art I saw some years ago for some games. It's a theme I would like to paint myself but I really lack the finesse to do the lines required for it to look more than just too abstract (which I have done plenty of times before anyway). Actually, thinking about it, this is something that bothers me; how the "dream" brain is quite good at scene generation and visualisation but then the "real" brain can struggle with making a scene exist through physical mediums, such as with paint, even when you're practiced in said mediums for more than a few years. Though I think it says something that I haven't done much sculpting but find it easier to come to a similar shape by sculpting what I imagined vs if I tried to paint what I imagined. Sorry for the tangent.
