This is my first lucid dream in a few years, and decided to retroactively add it to my journal since I still remember it, but never wrote it down. Awake|Dreaming|Lucid I was somewhere outside, I don't remember the events leading up to it, but I suddenly had the urge to do a reality check. My first call is to check my palms, which often leads to a huge burst of lucidity regardless of the success of the RC itself. However, in this case, the success of the RC was the sole reason, given my left hand now had 7 wavy fingers.. That familiar feeling of lucidity rushed in, and upon looking up and away from my wavy hands, I now found myself inside, in a corridor of a dimly lit house, surrounded by faceless mannequins. Usually, dream characters vanish instantly upon attaining lucidity, but this was a rare exception for me. My first thought was to remain calm, but given that it was my first LD in many years, and came totally out of nowhere, I failed to remember to perform the right stability techniques. I glanced at the mannequins, which were bent over, almost on all fours as if they were posing for an art piece or waiting to pounce on me the moment I looked away. Shortly after, I lost lucidity and either woke up or faded back into a regular dream. This dream was totally natural, and came from an afternoon nap, which makes total sense given that I only got 5 hours of sleep during the night, and my REM cycle typically begins around 4.5 hours. Going back to bed under these conditions gives me extremely vivid dreams, and I suppose I can owe this to becoming lucid Recurring dream elements: -School? I think this is where the outside location was prior to the reality check -Edit: My previous lucid dream 4 years prior also contained mannequins. Worth keeping in mind Notes: -This is the only LD I've had where dream characters didn't immediately vanish upon becoming lucid. It's much more interesting

My second dream since restarting a dream journal. I had a lot of trouble recalling this one, and almost gave up, but I managed to stitch together enough fragments Awake|Dreaming|Lucid The dream seemed to begin on a dark, destroyed map from The Headliners, which gameplay elements from Monster Hunter. I somehow ended up in an office, talking to Herman Li (of DragonForce) about his upcoming tour. He suggested that I buy tickets online, and receive one ticket for a US show, and one for Japan for some reason. I agreed, and decided to head to the local supermarket for some snacks to take with me. I came across what looked like an energy drink in a hard plastic bottle, which was themed around the bugs in Monster Hunter. I revisited this shelf to buy several of the same drink. I then ended up in my Grandmother's old house from when I was a child, but I don't remember much here. I went back to the supermarket one last time, and found there was no stock of the drink I had bought multiple times. Instead, there was one drink on the shelf, also from the Monster Hunter theme, called "Flash Phosphor". I picked it up, and a woman behind me got angry that I had taken the final one, but I ignored her entirely and went off to pay at the self-checkout. I went back out to the destroyed road, where it was dark and quiet. I turn around, and I realize I am being followed by two Jawa-like creature, but they are not harmful. Suddenly, two hideous women on Seikrets from Monster Hunter ride out past me. I seemed to assume they were from Final Fantasy, and was annoyed at how terrible the character designs of the franchise had become. They were shaved bald, obese and covered in tattoos. I continued down the dark road, and came across an eerie reception, where I could see small creatures similar to the Jawas from before, only they now resembled small, sad robots. They were completely lifeless, sitting in place with a sad expression. Hopefully tomorrow is more vivid Recurring dream elements: -Monster Hunter, twice in a row now -The Headliners, a game I've been playing daily with my friends. I will perform reality checks on both games now -Local supermarket, visited IRL yesterday Notes: -Recall was very difficult and dreams were not vivid
It's been almost 5 years since I updated my DJ here, but having had a recent LD during an afternoon nap for the first time in a few years, I wanted to start pursuing it again for fun Awake|Dreaming|Lucid I started in the street of a shopping centre, doing some kind of messy Monster Hunter fight, with creatures flying in the sky directly above. After that, I went to some kind of theme park nearby, and entered some kind of mini-game house. Inside, there was an artificial grass hill with fake trees decorating it, and seemed to resemble a shooting gallery of some sorts. Myself and a male dream character had to shoot balloons that were rolling down the hill with a water gun, which needed to be reloaded with a hose against the back wall. I asked the dream character to help me reload my gun, but decided to get up and walk into the next room. In that room, I met a girl with long black hair, possibly Asian or Latina, and felt like I was there on some romantic occasion. An old lady let us stay in this new building, and I decided to go into the bathroom to freshen up after dropping off my belongings in the bedroom (which was also the living room?). I went into the kitchen, where things got a bit spicy with the girl, until a guy came in and seemed to claim her as his own. I remember being a little angry, and I walked outside with this guy, back to the street with the Monster Hunter creatures, and he reminded me about the lore behind the first 5 creatures created, the second of which was called Hawk Tuah (???). He then continues to claim this girl, getting hands on with her and holding her hand as she looked miserable. I took my anger out on a bus stop and started doing insane Monster Hunter combos on a nearby bus stop, juggling it in the air. Suddenly, everyone's voices became distorted and robotic like Hatsune Miku, and I left to go on a rollercoaster with the girl. The ride had no safety harness, and leaped off the track into the air before barely landing on another track several feet away. After getting off the ride, I found myself back outside my house investigating a shooting threat that took place in the local forest I often dream about. The suspect was a horribly disfigured bald man, which ended up waking me up a few hours later with nothing I could recall between Overall, this was a great effort at dream recall considering I hadn't done it for 5 years prior. I was lucky to have left out a notepad the night before to get some notes scribbled down quickly after recalling as much as I could Recurring dream elements: -Monster Hunter, played a lot of Wilds since it came out 2 weeks ago -Local forest area, very common Notes: -First DJ entry in 5 years, strong recall ability
