    1. Visiting friends in another dimension

      by , 02-21-2011 at 10:10 PM
Dream Lucid Partially lucid False Awakening.

Note: I'm not sure how to categorize this dream. I felt fully conscious, but I didn't think of it as a dream. I thought of it as another reality. So I'll just categorize it as partially lucid.

Feb. 21, '11: I had been dropped off at home by somebody. (there had been more to the dream before this part) The house was my old childhood home. I went outside to look for my neighbor's house, and see what he was doing, but his house wasn't there.
My house was attached to a school. There was a picnic table out front, with lots of people around.

I realized that I was not in my regular reality (partially lucid). I walked along a sidewalk with other students. There was some kind of object I picked up (?).
I met a girl, we walked together. She was kind of short, maybe wore glasses and a head covering. She had darkish skin. We were friends, possibly more.
I told her she could have sent me a message (to my world) to let me know she was going to bring me here, so I would expect it.
She said she did. I laughed, remembering a person who had said something to me that didn't make sense.
I said the message had been too subtle, or vague.
      She seemed surprised by this.
I explained that people in my world are not taught how to recognize signs and messages from other worlds, or dimensions.
We were in a place kind of like India. I asked her where we were. She said "San," spelled either SAN or SAHN. Then we kissed and parted ways.

Then I met my cat, Wilton. In that dimension he was intelligent and could talk. He use to live with me, in my world, but had moved to the other dimension and had been living there for a while. I was visiting him.
He had his own business. He rented a room inside a larger building. There was a sign over the door with a stylized painting of a cat on it, and it said he was something like a private investigator, exterminator. Mostly he caught mice.
His business was on the first floor. there was no furniture, only a carpet. Wilton lived on the second floor, in a small apartment above the business. There was a narrow staircase to his apartment.
He had a huge bed, the size of two large beds put together, but no other furniture that I saw. I found a stack of papers, some with doodles on them, by me. there were little cartoon doodles of the girl I saw earlier
(maybe to help me remember her?)
I woke up, aware of my body in bed. Without getting up, started writing the word "San," and "Sahn," and one other variant. Then I pinched my nose and breathed and I realized I was still dreaming.
I stood up from bed in Wilton's apartment. I asked if it was morning there. I felt like the moment I was awake in my world when I was sleeping in the other dimension.
Wilton and I went into his bathroom. He had a small plastic toilet. I emptied it and washed it in the sink. I saw that he drank water from a small plastic trashcan. I told him he needed a bowl and I would get him one.

    2. Lucid around the house

      by , 02-18-2011 at 11:17 PM
      Dream Lucid Partially lucid

Feb. 18, '11: I was in my parents' bathroom, in their old house, facing the large mirror. I suspected that I was dreaming and I tested it in some strange ways. I slapped myself in the face, but it didn't feel normal.
Then I pinched my nose and could still breath,
so I knew I was dreaming. i looked at my hands and rubbed them together to stabilize the dream.
I went out the back door, to the patio and yelled up to the sky "hey dream!" I asked it how to get rid of inner fear and doubt, but I didn't say it right at first so I asked again. I got no answer.
There were some women nearby. I jumped down from the patio, onto the ground. One girl was being chased by someone. We both laid on the ground to hide. I asked her if she knew how to get rid of or lessen inner fear and doubt. She said singing helps. I felt like I was making her say it. Then I humped her for a few minutes.

I got up and she turned into a cat
(why does that always happen?). I felt like I was about to wake up, so I looked at my hands and rubbed them together and everything got more vivid again.
I went around to the front of the house, on the porch. I saw the kitchen through the window. I walked through the wall into the kitchen quite easily.
I put my finger through the palm of my hand, mostly for the fun of it. I tried to stretch my arm to reach an object on the other side of the room, but it didn't really work.

There were more cats in the kitchen, and one at the door. I let it in and screamed at it. Then I wondered why I did that (a non-lucid slip?).
I thought to call Sheila again. I reached into my pocket for my cell phone, but it wasn't there. I was wearing pajama pants. So I picked up the kitchen cordless phone. I said "Sheila?"
      And a voice answered, "yeah."
I said, "I want to see you."
      The voice said "OK."
"Will you come to the house right away?" I asked.
She said something but I didn't hear it very well.
I said "What?" and there was no answer. I figured maybe she was on her way.

But then I woke up. I couldn't re-enter the dream because I was too awake and there were distracting noises in the house.

    3. Stuck at a party, then become lucid

      by , 02-17-2011 at 10:55 PM
      Dream Lucid Partially lucid

February 17, '11: I was at a party at my mom's old ballet school. I didn't like it. A bunch of young guys started dancing in a big circle.
My friend's mother was in the hall. She asked me how my job search was going. I said I found one. She asked if it was full time. I said no. She asked if I liked it. I said "it puts money in my pocket."
I went outside to the parking lot. It is nighttime and I have no ride. I see my sister with her friends. I ask her for a ride.
I have really messy chewing gum (purple?) that I keep getting stuck to me and I can't get it off or spit it out. I just stretches and turns into a sticky stringy mess.

My sister leaves and I'm stuck again with no ride. I see a young girl in the window who is looking at me. I jump and start flying.
I say "oh yeah, I can fly." Then I knew I was dreaming. I think of how flying is a good dream sign. I pinch my nose and rub my hands together to stabilize.
I say to myself that I could just fly home. Then I say that since this is a dream I don't have to go home at all.
I fly down the road and remembered to call Sheila. I pulled my cell phone from my pocket. I said into it "Hello, Sheila?" And I ask her to meet me at the tree that I was flying to.

I waited and looked around for her. I saw a black and white TV in the tree, with a woman on it. I go to it and say "is that Sheila?"
A couple of times I feel a strong sexual urge, but I try to ignore it.
There was another TV in the tree. This one had a scary looking dog on it. Then it showed a monkey, or maybe a goat with part of its face ripped off, I think by the dog.
Then I am on the ground, among a large group of people sitting around. They all have burned or ripped off faces. It is rather disturbing.
I attempt to spin and go somewhere else, and it wakes me up. As I wake up I think, being awake is somewhere else.

Note: Perhaps using some emotion to find Sheila would work better.

      Dream Lucid Partially lucid

Feb. 14, '11: Just a dream fragment today. I was running through the woods, on all four, like an animal. I turned around and went back because I forgot my Mountain Dew. I passed some guy who was peeing.
Later, the guy asked me why I ran on all four. I said it made me feel like I was running really fast.

    5. Shifty professor

      by , 02-13-2011 at 12:02 AM
      Dream Lucid Partially lucid

Feb. 12, '11: I was walking through some wide hallways with Adam and Nathan. We found a university-type classroom. It was open to the hallway, with a missing wall. There was no class at the moment. The professor was there. He was very strange looking, with a big mustache, partially bald with dreadlocks.
I didn't trust him, and I suspected that his mustache was fake.

He offered to teach us a class about modifying animal and human body parts. I was scared and left.
I found my family (and friends?) at a round table. I felt that the professor was coming after me, now as a monster.
I pretended to have a gun to protect myself. It was invisible, but it worked.

I was partially lucid. I had sex with J. She said "well that's cold." I pointed out that it was interesting how she said what I figured she would say in waking life (she is often sarcastic), rather than saying some fantasy thing.
I pretended that she said some ridiculous (cheesy) sexy thing and we both seemed to get more passionate.

I am most distracted by sex when I am only partially lucid, and not fully conscious.

In another dream, I think I was partially lucid. I was floating in the air with N. She showed me how to fly by pushing the ground with energy from my palms. I thought it was an interesting method of flight.

    6. Bad car dream and short lucid

      by , 02-10-2011 at 11:12 PM
      Dream Lucid Partially lucid

Feb. 10, '11: I was driving my car on the highway, going to work. I did not have very good control over the car. (a common dream sign) I blacked out for a few seconds and realized I had been in an accident. We pulled over. someone was hurt and had to go to the hospital. Another man was angry.
I was very upset. N arrived and I told her what happened. I told her that I was going to work, even though I don't work there anymore. I thought I had woken up from a dream, thinking I had to go to work, like I was still in the dream state of mind after waking up. So I thought I was confusing dream and waking reality.
This is another example of a dream screwing with my mind.

Then I was in my parents' house, in the kitchen. Finally it occurred to me that I could be dreaming. I was too caught up in the moment earlier to think of it. I pinched my nose and breathed through it, confirming that I was dreaming.
My parents were there and I slapped them in the face (playfully?).
I talked to Anna and told her that I never really knew her very well.

    7. False awakenings and very brief lucid moment.

      by , 02-08-2011 at 09:59 PM
      Dream Lucid Partially lucid

Every night so far this month I have had some kind of lucid, partially lucid, or lucid-like dream.

Feb. 8, '11: I was back in my parents' house again (just like last night) In my bathroom mirror, I saw a man standing behind me. It was creepy, but I staid calm. I might have been close to considering that I was dreaming, but instead concluded that I was awake.

I asked the man why he was there. I asked if he had come with a warning or a message. He was talking, but I couldn't hear what he was saying.
He was a slightly heavy-set man, with a mustache and beard, and darkish skin. His hair was black and it might have had long, but I'm not sure.
Then I had a false awakening. I looked at a mirror and started screaming
(I don't know why). I put my hand in my mouth and pushed my arm into my throat. I realized I was dreaming, but I thought I heard an alarm.

I had another false awakening. I turned off my alarm clock and saw that it was around 8 or 9 AM, much earlier than I thought it was. I was glad that I had more time to try to WILD.
But then I actually woke up and it was much later than my dream had said it was.

    8. Short lucid moment

      by , 02-08-2011 at 09:39 PM
      Dream Lucid Partially lucid

      Feb. 7, '11:
      1) I had a short lucid moment when I told my mom to have a sense of humor in dreams. She was upset by something I had said.
I asked her if she knew where Sheila was. Then I asked again with different wording. I asked for Sheila to be there.
I saw a girl in the kitchen that did not look like Sheila. She had darkish skin and was very sexy. We had sex for a few seconds until I woke up.

      2) I was back in my parents' house, in the dining room. (Not like how I'm usually there in my dreams, like I'm still living there. In this dream I had returned to visit.) Braden approached me and talked about art school. Several people gathered at the table, I think for a Bible study. My dream journal was open on the table. I picked it up and closed it, saying there could be inappropriate stuff in it.

    10. Pretty awesome lucid dream

      by , 02-06-2011 at 09:13 PM
      Dream Lucid Partially lucid

February 6, '11: Had another successful WILD. It took a long while, and I moved a couple of times. But eventually I imagined that I was moving, and I felt my dream body move.

I got up. It was dark. I rubbed my hands together and on my body, and looked at my hands until my vision got better. I was in my old bedroom. I opened the window and stuck my head out. I shouted out to the sky "Hey dream!"
I heard my own voice return from the distance, it said "Hey!"
I shouted "What force is keeping me from doing what I want?" (thinking mostly of past lucid dreams, but also waking life.) It was a little difficult saying it right.
There was pause and the voice just said "Hm."

I almost woke up. I tried again and asked the same question. The voice answered and said "fear cells."
I asked what that meant. It had something to do with internal fear.
I asked "How can I overcome it?" but I don't know what the answer was, or if there was one. As I was asking these questions, the window opening kept getting smaller and I was somehow stuck.

I looked at my hands throughout the dream to stabilize.

Then I went outside, crossed the pond on some kind of tarp that was over it, and I climbed up onto the bridge (all of this is in front of my parents' house). I was barefoot and I felt the wood of the bridge with my feet. There were some guys walking around wearing what looked like hotel uniforms. The pond was now purple and boiling, with lots of waves and steam coming from it. I asked one of the guys what it meant. Either he responded or I concluded that it represented my "inner turmoil."

But I said, "It's not always that bad. See, it's calmed down." It had calmed quite a bit, but was still very wavy.
I asked how I can make it better. The guy said "grouse."
      I said "what's grouse?"
Turns out it was a meat that a lady was handing out to people. I asked the lady if I could have a piece. She wasn't very outgoing or friendly, but she gave me a stick and a piece of the meat to put on the stick.

Several people were going down to the water to fry the meat on their sticks. I kissed a girl in passing. I didn't want to get too distracted by sex.

There I saw Julie. I said hi and told her that she was dreaming. She just said "OK." She was happy and friendly, but didn't seem to care about that. We went down into this little room area with a wooden floor, where the frying stuff was suppose to be. But it was all gone. Someone commented that the floor wasn't even warm.
I shouted out for heat. I didn't feel any, but the other people said it worked.

I sat between Julie and another girl, and talked. I noticed that the patterns in the wood floor looked like letters. But they didn't make any sense. Suddenly Julie kissed me and I got very aroused. She said that it was my dream making her do that.
Gradually I was losing my lucidity. I told her that in waking life I like her but I don't want to have sex with her. And soon after that I woke up.

This is a significant lucid dream for me because usually dream characters in my lucid dreams are not very responsive. But these were definitely responsive and conscious dream figures. Also because it's the first time I've addressed the dream with a question.

      Dream Lucid Partially lucid

      February 5, '11:
      1) I was having a bad dream that I don't remember now. I became lucid and was happy to not have the bad dream anymore.
I sang and danced through the house. I went into my sister's room. She was in bed and turned into a cat.
I picked her up and put her outside.
I lost lucidity and the dream continued for a bit longer.

      2) There was some kind of building and i became lucid, or partially lucid. This is extremely vague, but can't remember anything else.

      3) A girl went crazy and ran away from her father. She was chased by a creature sent after her by her father. She ran into a house (a tree house?) and upstairs and into a portal. The portal vanished before the creature reached it. It jumped for it and hit the wall.
I was somehow controlling all this, like they were dolls. The girl was then in a car. I was in the back seat. She couldn't see or hear me, but I somehow "talked" to her. I may have comforted her. I'm not sure.

Next I became partially lucid, but not rally. I had some control over the world, and I thought similar to how I do when lucid, but I didn't think that I was dreaming. It's more like I actually thought I was a god of some sort.
I don't feel like sharing the details of this part of the dream. I'll just say that I had some influence over people and I influenced them in such a way to fulfill my personal interests.
But I didn't really have very good control. At one point I sat down on the stairs and put my face in my palms. I said "No matter how hard I try, some other force thwarts my plans." It's like there was another force that was stronger than me that kept me from doing what I wanted. It's the same in some of my fully lucid dreams.
But then I did get to indulge my fantasy a little bit.

      Dream Lucid Partially lucid

      Feb. 3, '11:
      1) There was a hamster that kept attacking a pocket watch that I had. The hamster would growl and bite at it. It got more crazy and I couldn't get it away from the watch long enough to hide it.
Then the hamster stopped moving. There was something wrong with its brain. I didn't know what to do.

      2) I was a scientist. Three young boys sneaked into my time machine. It was shaped kind of like a giant laptop, and the whole thing was inflatable. The boys threw a ball into an empty space in the underside of the machine.
It was floating on water. It started to deflate and an alarm went off. I ended up in the water, which had turned green.

      3) I had a very short lucid moment. I was flying when i realized I was dreaming. I looked at my hands and landed on a roof. That's all I remember.

    13. Mostly wandering around in a lucid dream.

      by , 02-02-2011 at 09:09 PM
      Dream Lucid Partially lucid

February 2, 2011: Slept around 6 hours, awake for 15 minutes, slept on back. Had another successful WILD. I did not feel any tingling or vibrations this time. I just noticed that I was moving my left arm. I felt a desk or a piece of wood on my bed. I picked it up and tossed it.

Then I clapped my hands together, still lying in bed. I sort of heard a sound from it. I knew I was dreaming. I sat up, out of my physical body position. I said to myself "I'm getting better at this."
I couldn't see at all at first, but my vision gradually got better. I examined my hand to stabilize the dream. There was light from a window that I held my hand in to see better. I began to see more detail.

I also rubbed my hands together. I stood up and looked back at the bed. My body was not there. I was in my childhood bedroom. I walked out and into the nearby bathroom. I noticed little objects and decorations that I thought I recognized but had forgotten about. I wondered if my mind remembered everything or just "guesstimated," or made stuff up
(now I realize that the remembered objects were actually false memories in the dream. The general layout of the house was right, but the details were not accurate to reality).

I walked into my parents bathroom. My mom was there. I tested to see if she could see me. She couldn't. She was doing bathroom stuff and I said I didn't want to see her naked, so I left.
I went out to the garage and flew, looking at my hands again to stabilize. I flew out to the front yard and up to the top of the trees. They were like weird shaped pine trees.

I thought about how I enjoy flying through the trees in my dreams and how I haven't done that in a long time
(I really haven't). I grabbed a branch as I flew/floated higher and let go to let it swing. My hand was sticky from sap.
I flew into the woods near our house. One of our cats followed me for a while. I told her to stay out of the road.

My brother showed up and asked about a phone message he had sent me. I told him this was a dream. I also told him I had been looking for a city of some sort. We both laughed because I realized this made no sense.
I asked him if he could remind me that I'm dreaming if I start acting unusual, so I can become lucid again. He seems unsure of his ability to do this, but agrees to try. He looked sweaty. Probably he was hot after running through the woods to me.

Then I begin to lose lucidity. A bear-like monster person attacked and I fought it for a minute. Jason said something about walking through the woods in shorts hurting your legs. I was wearing shorts, so I made them longer.
Soon after that I woke up.

    14. Breaking things

      by , 02-01-2011 at 09:15 PM
      Dream Lucid Partially lucid

February 1, 2011: I attempted the same WILD method as the night before.
Slept for 6 or so hours, awake for 20+minutes, focused on breathing while lying on my back.
I felt close to success several times, but no vibrations. Eventually I moved to my side and had regular dreams and a partially lucid dream. I did not remember to do any of the things I meant to do.

Dream: Ricky Gervais (I think?) was swimming in a small pool. strange things started happening. His body did impossible things and a few times there were two of him. I was seeing this from a first-person perspective.

Then I was in the kitchen, on the floor. I knew I was dreaming, but I was not fully lucid. There was a cat who was being mean and scared of me. I had a false memory that the cats always act that way in my dreams. In fact, they don't.
I got up and walked to another room, saying dramatically that I had full power, but then remembered that I didn't because I was still learning.
The house looked like my grandparents' house (mother's side) but I thought it was someone else'
(I was not thinking clearly because I did not seem to be fully conscious).

I pulled out a drawer from a dresser and dropped it on the wood floor. It bounced a couple of feet and surprised me. I dropped another one and it bounced higher.
There was a small mirror that I tried to break with the handle of a hair brush. It didn't break at firs. I saw my reflection and I looked crazy. The mirror did break after a few hits. Then I walked through the house breaking other things, like a glass table.

Soon after that I woke up.

I have noticed that when I am only partially lucid in a dream, I tend to start breaking things for no reason. I wonder why....

    15. Successful WILD

      by , 01-31-2011 at 11:39 PM
      Dream Lucid

January 31, '11: I slept for around 6 hours, stayed awake for 20-30 minutes, and then laid on my back, focusing on my breathing and ignoring any other thoughts. It took a while, but I eventually felt tingly vibrations.
I opened my eyes slightly and looked at the clock. But I couldn't have physically done that because I was facing the wrong way and I had on a blindfold (homemade sleep mask).

I felt myself switch from my physical body to my dream body. I moved my arm and then got up. My vision was not very good. It was dark and faded. I rubbed my hands together. Then I removed a pair of glasses I was wearing and everything was suddenly clear.

I rubbed my hands together again to stabilize the dream, focusing on the sensation.
(I forgot that I wanted to examine my hands to stabilize, rather than my usual hand rubbing method.)

I was in a large cabin-like building, full of stuff. It reminded me of the pixel dream world I made on my computer, but in realistic 3D form.
I felt light. I floated into the air and did flips and pushed myself from the walls. I floated up to a big wooden light fixture thing. It was like a chandelier, but weird shaped. I don't remember exactly what shape it was. I made it fall and it broke on the floor.
I floated up higher and I saw into an attic storage space. There was an old stuffed rhino doll that I grabbed.
There was also a large fireplace behind a glass wall.

Then I remembered what I wanted to do. I tried to stretch my arm to reach something far away. My thumb and forefinger stretched and picked up my ghost lamp, and brought it closer to me.
I tried to stretch my arms, but it didn't work.
At some point I also pushed my left hand finger through my right hand palm, not as a reality check, but just because I've never done it before.

      I was hungry
(my physically body really was hungry) so I went to the fridge. I ate three slices of old pizza and then ate a bunch of other things, wrappers and all. Then I woke up.

While trying to re-enter a dream, I had a short dream-like thing. Someone was instructing me to climb through a small hole, or passage and told me to focus my awareness as I did.
