      Welcome to Hell (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

A chute opens up in the ground, and I fall down into a pile of other people. We are in a rather small shower/bathroom area that might be found in a locker room. Satan appears and says we are in Hell. He tells us that we are assigned to two particular chores every day: an hour of cleaning a bathroom and three hours of tossing a baby up and down. The catch is that we are not given clocks, so we have to measure the time in our heads. If we go under our required time, we will be punished severely.

I don't believe that this is really Hell, so I walk off and decide not to listen to him. I am gone for a while (with a memory lapse). When I return, everyone is lined up, tossing their babies up and down, up and down. I think that this CAN'T be good for them.

I approach Satan and he asks me why I haven't done my chores. "I'm better than that." I tell him. He decides that I can help him collect some souls instead. He wraps me up in packaging paper and sends me down another chute. I land in someone's kitchen. ((I can somehow see through the paper, even though I'm wrapped from head to toe)). There is a man there, and his young daughter.

I burst from the packaging paper. This scares the man and gives him a heart attack, killing him. A chute opens up beneath both of us, and we end up back in Hell.

I get a sense of deja vu. I learn that my memory lapse from earlier was because Satan had already been using me to collect souls, and he erased my memory of the events.

Spiders and Chainsaws and Fairies, oh MY! (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

In my back yard at night, two of the giant spider people who live in the forest come to pay me a visit. They tell me that I am "invited" to play a game with them tonight. I must survive in the forest until sunrise to win the game. If I decide not to play, there will be serious consequences. They show me a vision of an innocent looking butterfly-girl being tied up in webs. I intuitively know that this vision represents a person I care about being taken by the spider people if I refuse to participate.

I go out and by the brightest flashlight that I can find, because the spider people are weak against light. This will be my only protection against a race of beings who can blend perfectly into the shadows and see in the dark like it's nothing. "I'm totally screwed," I mutter to myself as I head back to my house.

I would really like to find someone to come with me to play the "game," but everyone is too busy. (There is some kind of adventuring Guild at my house that I am a part of.) I come across Cheyenne in one of the back rooms and briefly consider asking her to join me, but I realize that I'd only be putting her in danger and that she is likely the person the Spiders will take from me. I've got to do this alone.

As I head out, a Werewolf who is part of the guild (and possibly an old character of mine from high school) asks me to go on a really important quest for him. I say that I will, but I have to play the Spider's game first.

When I get out in the forest, I hide myself under a tree and wait. After a few minutes of nothing happening, I get bored and decide to leave.
((So apparently it wasn't that important after all...?))

I take up my werewolf friend's quest and head out with my brother and my dad down the back road. It is a two part quest: part of it involves something deep in the forest, and part of it involves killing the daughter of a very important man in a village not far from here. We decide to deal with the girl first.

The gravel road should lead directly to the village, but there is a big red truck parked in a nearby field with two sentries. Our first plan is to sneak by unnoticed. We begin crawling low to the ground, but are spotted anyway. We stand up quickly as the truck approaches us. Time for plan B.

Before the two men in the truck can ask questions, I put on a stupid expression and point down the road. "We were wondering where this road leads to," I say amiably. I can see that the driver believes us not to be a threat.

"Oh, just follow us," he says and drives slowly down the gravel road. We follow for a short distance, until he stops just before the village and gets out. "I'll show you around, he says."

His passenger gets out as well. He is a GIGANTIC man with a chainsaw, which he revs threateningly. I am concerned about this one, but I play my part of the oblivious traveler.

The two men take us through the village, showing us different shops and various important people here. The man with a chainsaw follows at a distance, ready to cut us to bits at any moment.

At one point, my companions and I step just outside of the village to have a brief talk. There, we find a Fairy Ring. We stand in the middle of the ring. One of the people with me ((no longer my dad and brother, my companions kept changing throughout the dream)) says that this is a good sign and that we must ask the Goddess for her blessing in order to complete our quest. Suddenly fairies begins swirling around us, emitting a beautiful light. They swirl up to the very heavens, where we can see a vision of the Goddess smiling down at us. She sends the light back, even more beautifully than before, and tells us that we have her blessing.

We return to the village and have audience with the leader. We are hoping to gain knowledge of where his daughter is. I am sent looking for the leader's missing shoe, which I accidentally step on. An evil skeleton wraith lunges up from the shoe and starts attacking me. I shatter it to pieces, dispelling the spirit. Apparently we had needed this spirit for something, and the leader tells me he can not bring it back.

      I wake up shortly afterward.

      Hiding Spots (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I am running from a particular group of people who always manage to find me. My brother is with me. We are part of some Hunger Game-esque future in which college and high school age students are thrown in prison camps.

My brother and I run down the dirt road behind my old house, when we see a dark car up ahead. We quickly take another fork in the road, only to come across another car. Both drivers are now after us. We veer off the road into the forest until we see a cabin. With nowhere left to go, hidng there seems to be a good option.

When we enter, however, there are two men standing there. I am about to fight them, but they convince me that they are on our side. "Not everyone agrees with wiping out part of society," one man says bitterly. He tells me that he was a teacher. I decide that I can trust him.

We hear car doors out front. "Hide!" the men say.

There aren't many suitable hiding places in the room. My brother hides beside a bookshelf while I hide under a couch. The men chasing us never come into the cabin.

      Cult of Mischief (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I hear a lot of commotion outside, and I look out to see several students making a human pyramid on top of the tower on the science building. I am horrified when the girl on top falls. Her friends below try to catch her, but she still looks injured from the force of the impact.

I run out and as if she's okay. The girls stare at me creepily and make some weird symbols with their hands. "She'll be okay," one of the girls says in a dead voice, before they all run off.

      (wake up)

After going back to sleep, I am telling a few friends about my dream. A little girl who is sitting with us perks up when I mention the hand symbols. "Like this?" she asks, making the same symbol. Astonished, I ask her how she knows. "I thought it was my own dream," she responds.

      Visiting (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

For some reason, I am forced to visit another college as if I will be attending there. It has a very ugly campus and most of the people are horrible. There is only one girl there who is nice to me. Even the person I'd be staying with is a complete jerk. Fortunately, I make it back to my own lovely school.

Once I return, things go wrong. An old friend from high school, without cause, licks her fingers and sticks them in my drink. This infuriates me. I slap her as hard as I can. Now everyone is mad at me and I am ostracized.

      Hypnosis (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

One of the girls who lives on my hallway hypnotizes me and my roommate, though we are unaware that this is what she is doing. She tells me to write down a bunch of names, but the only one I hear is Jensen Ackles. When I ask her to repeat them, she gets mad and yells at me before repeating them so fast that I still can't understand.

I pretend to write them down, and somehow manage to guess the questions she asks about them.

Later, Alex and I are being chased through never-ending corridors (what I call a door labyrinth) by a crazy woman. She seems to be set on killing us, yet she is also intentionally giving us hints on which door to take. I realize that it's all part of some weird plot, that the lady is helping us because our hypnosis failed. She's supposed to try to kill us for certain people, yet her heart is on our side.

      Roaming the Night (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Prior to the events of the dream, I was hanging out with a werewolf and a vampire in a pub somewhere in the city. These two happen to be characters of mine from some silly story I tried writing in middle school/early high school.

The dream opens as I am walking through the city at night, searching for my car. Once I find it, I make a wrong turn down a dark, sketchy looking road. Somehow I end up on foot again as I try to turn back around (dream logic doesn't like me driving, apparently). As I'm walking, a tall guy in his late teens approaches me. He is dripping with an air of false friendliness.

He soon questions me about the vampire I was hanging out with in the pub. He wants to know his name. "Vincent," I tell him, mentally preparing myself for the fight or chase that is bound to happen.

      "Vincent what?"

"Just Vincent. He doesn't have a last name. For all I know, Vincent isn't even his real first name, either."

The guy loses his friendly act and says that the vamp is bound to come here once he hears my screams. I can't really see Vincent caring one way or another what happens to me, but Dakota (the werewolf) would surely flip out. Not wanting the wolf to find out what trouble I've gotten myself into yet again, I break into a sprint.

I easily stay one step ahead of the guy, but soon we come upon my Aunt's house and I see that this isn't going to end without a fight. The guy is stronger than I would have thought; it becomes clear that he intends to rape me. The fight is brutal and lasts several minutes. In the end, I get the upper hand and beat the guy until he is moaning on the ground, pleading for me to stop.

      Beyond My Own Life (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I have returned to the Academy to take care of the great evil which has been running it. I am the prophesized Hero, so I must not be seen by any officials who report to the Headmaster. The Academy is located in an enormous Gothic style cathedral. I am hiding out in one of the back rooms, biding my time while the school participates in the opening ceremony.

I screw up somehow and the Headmaster is suspicious. He starts toward the room in which I'm hiding. I dive under the bed, but it is too late. I'm caught.

"Guards!" the Headmaster cries. "Kill her." He turns and leaves as the guards swarm me. I dive out the window and land conveniently in front of a pile of swords that one of my "followers" has left for me. I grab one: a sword with a black and sliver handle and a long, thin blade.

The first guard that I fight seems to be sympathetic towards me. He is giving me tips on how to fight, and all his instructions are in a Video Game Tutorial Style. After the tutorial, our battle commences. I knock the first guard's sword away, and kill the ones who leave me no other choice. I feel an odd satisfaction as my sword slices through their chests.

The remaining guards (who are apparently on my side) run off. But the alarm has been raised. Now the Priests, with their long white robes and stupid looking headdresses, are coming after me. I hide in a large pile of sand, along with a young boy who has been helping me. The boy makes way too much noise while we are hiding (despite me practically begging him to remain silent). A Priest grabs us... Fortunately, it is one of my followers in disguise. She leads me to a room where the others in our conspiracy are working.

I lose the dream shortly afterwards.

      Small Dragons (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I find two small dragons in my room. One of them is black and living in my bedside table. The other is green. I let the green one inside through the window. It seems happy inside, but it keeps biting my finger. It hurts, but the dragon is so cute that I just allow it to bite me.
    7. Freddy Krueger + Demons

      Krueger Propaganda (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I spontaneously become lucid in the middle of a somewhat hectic situation that I can no longer remember. I decide to fly away.

I start from my house and fly over the trees, the back road, and the forest. All along the way, there are Freddy Krueger posters EVERYWHERE with strange and violent quotations on them. "Hmm, I wonder what he's up to," I murmur to myself. I fully expect him to show up and try to cause trouble. He'd better stay away if he knows what's good for him. ((It is a running joke among my friends that I was married to Krueger and am now divorced.))

I am flying Peter Pan style, and it is quite an exhilerating feeling. I pass by a lot of beautiful scenery. At one point I stop to talk to some people,
but my recall is really hazy and I don't remember what happened next. Sadly, I know there was a lot that happened afterward, I just can't grasp it at the moment.

      Demon Opression (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

My campus has been overrun by demons who are under the guise of Indian women. I am standing in the lobby of my dorm, preparing to leave. A little girl, around 11, is trying to get in the elevator. I know that once on the elevator, it will draw people in to the demon's dimension, making escape almost impossible. But the girl is convinced that she has to get upstairs to find her sister. I get on the elevator with her, determined to protect her.

We get upstairs and the demon women spot us as soon as we step off the elevator. I grab the little girl and haul her down the hallway, keeping her away from the demons. We never find her sister, but we somehow make it back outside.

Later I am riding to California with my friends to start anew. The world is somewhat post-apocalyptic now; dark and dangerous. As we are leaving, I see my German professor chopping firewood in a temporary camp near the school. I am surprised that he now has a lot of intricate tattoos going down his body.

      Lab Torture (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I am a young girl, maybe 7 years old. I am locked in a laboratory where an evil man is performing cruel experiments on me and this boy who is a few years older than me.

The boy is thrown back into the lab after one of his tests. He says that he has been shot in the stomach and needs my help getting the bullets out. He hands me a pair of needle nosed pliars and starts to take off his shirt. I'm somewhat confused, because he has breasts like a girl, but he is a boy in every other aspect. I decide to not think about this.

He shows me where he had been shot, but the wounds are completely healed and are now just scars. He seems confused. I realize that he must have special healing powers, and I tell him this. He says it makes sense, because they injected him with something before his tests started.

I get an idea. "This might sound kind of gross," I begin, "but... Do you think that if I drank some of your blood, it could heal me?" I currently have a broken arm because the evil scientist became angry with me.

The boy says it couldn't hurt. He is just about to give me some of his blood when the scientist rushes in. He looks furious. "HOW DARE YOU TRY TO TAKE HIS BLOOD!?" he screams at me. I curse myself for not realizing we are being monitored.

He visciously breaks both of my legs until I am screaming and crying on the floor.

There was more to the dream after that, but I no longer remember.

      03.07.2013
      Dillon the Weird (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I am in a dark room that isn't entirely part of our normal dimension. A few other people are there with me, including a creepy kid named Dillon who I've apparently had some issues with in the past.

I am leafing through a small notebook that I've stolen from Dillion. He is trying to take it back from me, so I'm distracted as I am both holding him back and reading the notebook. There is a strange globular thing on one of the pages that is similar to a small heart. I squeeze the little heart a few times to see if anything happens. At the bottom of the page, red writing appears that says "5 New Deaths."

Dillon laughs at me. "You just killed five people!" he says.

"What!?" I shriek. Another person in the room explains to me that this is Dillon's notebook of death. I decide to keep it away from him so that he can't kill anymore people with it.

Later, I am back in the normal plane of existence, walking through a parking lot with my dad. I suddenly get the feeling that Dillon is nearby. "Better be on the look out," I tell my dad. "This creepy kid is going to try to attack me."

I pull the notebook from my back pocket and try to put it in my jacket pocket. It gets caught on the material, though, and Dillon shows up just as I'm struggling with it. "Give me back my notebook!" he yells at me, lunging forward.

My dad grabs him and begins shaking him violently around. Dillon goes invisible and manages to run off.

"You should send more of your dream characters after me!" my dad laughs. "I'll kick their asses, no problem."

I think that he wouldn't be so cocky if he ran into my dream guide. It would take a lot more than shaking him about to defeat *him.*

Random lucid moment behind me, I continue into the store. I'm supposed to be looking for specific items that represent certain people that I know who are part of some kind of creepy cult conspiracy. On the highest shelf in the store, I see some My Little Pony cloaks (of all things.) I know that this is the item that is supposed to represent Bryan, leader of the cult and a hugy brony.

I gracefully jump onto the shelf and sit there, examining the cloaks. Though I wouldn't call myself a brony, I have watched MLP as a kind of guilty pleasure. I absentmindedly sing the theme as I'm looking at the cloaks. Suddenly, I notice someone is singing along with me. It's Dillon.

"You watch My Little Pony?" I ask him, surprised.

      "Yeah," he admits.

This sparks a conversation, and I learn that he is not as evil as I had thought. He is actually really sweet and sensitive.

      Double Death Tragedy (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Alex has come down with some horrible illness after we've locked ourselves in one of the buildings on campus. Her grandfather and (nonexistent) brother are with us. We can hear people in the hallway who aren't supposed to be there, but they don't come to bother us.

Alex is having very violent spasms, yet she assures us that she'll be fine. Her grandfather pulls me aside and tells me that Alex is definitely going to die. I am shocked. In the short time I've known my roommate, she has become like a sister to me. I can't believe she is going to die.

But she does. She dies right in front of me.

I briefly wake up. I am relieved that it was only a dream. However, I have not moved or opened my eyes, and by the time I try to I am already stuck in sleep paralysis and then pulled back into the dream.

I leave the room that we were in, thinking that Alex is still alive. I am going with her brother to investigate why people have been trying to break in. As soon as we walk into a large common room, a bee stings me on the neck, temporarily paralyzing and blinding me. When I am able to move again, her brother informs me that a ninja girl had broken in and done something. We are not sure what, but we know that she was working for our enemy.

We split up to investigate. I come upon my mother, who is sitting with a large group of people. "Have you come for the final visitation?" she asks me in an eerie voice.

I am thinking, "Visitation...? But... Alex didn't really die. That was just a dream. Right?" Confused, I go back to the room where she was to check on her. A horrifying sight greets me: Cheyenne is lying there, dead.

I run from the room, crying, trying to find out what happened. Everyone present is too weird and crazy to answer my questions. An old man with horrible, blistering red flesh is dragging himself around the room, ranting crazily. His fingers and toes are all melded together, making his hands and feet look like flippers. He crawls in front of me and says I am too polite, just like my mother. (wtf?)

I go find my mom again. She says I don't have to be here if I don't want to be, but I don't even know what is happening and I am so distraught that I can barely think straight. All I know is that my heart feels like it is torn to shreds and I can't believe I will never see her again.

Finally I wake up, because my dream crying is making me breathe oddly in real life.

    11. Shark Eye

      by , 12-01-2012 at 05:53 PM (Death's Other Kingdom)
Last night I got to bed extremely early and therefore had awesome recall. To avoid a super long post, I'll post them all separately.

      12.01.2012
      Shark Eye (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I arrive late to gym class, where everyone is playing an odd-looking game called Shark Eye.

Across the floor is a large mat divided in half by a thick line, with different sized circles on either side of the line. The team on offense stands at the side of the mat labeled "START LINE," while the team on defense stands on the opposite end of the room, as well as having a line of players stationed behind the team on offense. When the whistle blows, the offensive line (called Heroes), must take a running start and slide across the mat on their stomachs to touch one of the circles. The farther back the circle, the more points a person gets for their team. At the same time, the line of defense behind the Heroes will each throw a ball to their teammate across the mat. If the Catcher catches the ball, he has a chance to touch a circle and therefore block a Hero from getting points (but he must reach the circle before the Hero does).

I am watching all of this from the bleachers, extremely confused about this strange game. There is a guy sitting beside me playing on his cell phone; one of those people who always refuses to participate in class. I don't wan't to be lumped in with his sort, so I decide to try to play even if I have no clue what's going on.

I join the team who is currently on offense and take my place on the START LINE. When the whistle blows, I run and slide across the mat to touch a circle. To avoid the Catchers, I slide across the line in the middle to touch a circle on the other side of the mat. The captain of my team says I'm not allowed to cross the line, so my points don't count.

On the next round, I slide all the way to the farthest circle, barely touching it before a Catcher does. Unfortunately the teacher, who is the judge of all our points, has left the room, so we have to just lay there and hold our positions.

Sadly, the Catcher I am stuck beside is known for picking on people. She grins at me evilly, knowing that I have to endure her teasing until the teacher gets back if I want to keep my points. So she spends the entire time tickling me, touching me inappropriately, and kissing me. I am torn between being annoyed and somewhat turned on. I also desperately hope that Sebastian doesn't see this happening.

Sebastian is a white-haired cat boy who is head over heels in love with me. While I do not return his affections, he is still my friend and I know he would flip out if he witnessed this. As if on cue, Sebastian appears just as the Catcher is snuggling against me with her arms wrapped around me. "Umm, hi..." I say awkwardly, inwardly cursing at the annoying creep clinging to me. How embarrassing...

"What's this!?" Sebastian exclaims in his "drama queen" tone of voice. "Oh, I see how it is. I'M not good enough for you, but this slut is!?"

"Come on, it's obviously not like that. I don't----"

"No, it's fine. Be with whoever you want to be. My feelings don't matter." He stalks off. It's clear that he's being overly dramatic on purpose, but I know that he's still hurt.

"Sebastian..." I roll my eyes and extract myself from the girl's grasp, running after him. "Don't be an idiot, you know I care about you."

Later, we are going to go explore one of the older, creepier buildings on campus which is said to be haunted. I am somewhat surprised to see a rather heated game of Shark Eye going on nearby. The game has taken on an almost cult following around campus. If this were an anime, it would have the same significance as Pokemon battles or Duel Monsters. Some students are shouting loudly that they have a secret weapon to defeat all other teams, which lives in the building that Sebastian and I are about to go explore.

We sneak inside the building and walk down the spiral staircase to the basement. Sebastian is visibly terrified, and I'm light-heartedly making fun of him. Suddenly two eerie voices start calling out Sebastian's name. He yells and runs away as fast as he can. I roll my eyes. "Who's there?" I call out.

Two demon boys with bright red hair appear. They say they are the Lords of Shark Eye. They're the secret weapon those students were going on about, I realize. "Hmph, well you nearly gave Sebastian a heart attack. How do you even know his name?" They laugh and refuse to answer.

      I wake up shortly afterwards.

Last night I got to bed extremely early and therefore had awesome recall. To avoid a super long post, I'll post them all separately.

      Hunted (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

An evil woman is dead set on killing me. I have foiled her plans numerous times and have run to far away places, but she always manages to find me. I am afraid to even sleep, because I'd be left open to attack.

My escape takes me to a cliff by a vast ocean. I believe I have just drowned the woman and that all of my troubles are over. As I am walking towards the forest across from the cliff, a huge form flies towards me. It is a vampire with enormous bat wings who has skin the color of red rocks. He is wearing nothing but a kind of loin cloth. "Look out!" he shouts at me, and I duck as he swoops over my head and attacks the woman who is somehow still alive.

When he is satisfied that she is dead, he picks me up and flies with me into the woods. It is an amazing experience, and I want to just keep flying around with him for as long as I can. However, all too soon we hear an eerie noise behind us. "How can this be?" the vampire asks, alarmed. "She's alive?" Suddenly realization strikes us both: the woman has turned into a vampire!!!

He sets me down and tells me to run; he'll hold her off for me while I get away. I do what he says, but it isn't long before the vampire lady is once again right at my heels. I hope the other vampire is alright...

I slide down a steep slope to get more ground between us, when I come across a small black dog. "We've got to run!" I tell the dog.

"No," she says. "I'll take care of her." I wonder how a dog her size is going to help in this situation at ALL, but to my surprise the woman seems terrified of her. She will not come near me while I'm standing behind the dog. Weird...

I look around and notice a camouflaged army truck parked nearby. "We can get away in that," I tell the dog. She agrees and we run to the truck. She sits beside me in the passenger seat and says I should look for money in the glove compartment. "I don't have time for that," I tell her, "and besides, I don't want to steal from soldiers, I just want to get out of here."

The good vampire shows up at this point and offers to drive. As we are speeding out of the forest, he asks how I got away from the woman. "This little black dog helped me," I say.

"Little black dog!?" the dog screetches, apparently offended at the term.

      "Um, sorry?"

      Deceiving the Witch (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

An evil witch has captured Cheyenne and is holding her prisoner, demanding that I give her the chest as ransom. But the contents of this chest are of utmost importance... I can't just allow her to have it. Then again, I also can't let her keep Cheyenne!

I finally decide to remove the contents of the chest and fill it with things that are equally heavy, hoping that I can get her to let my friend go before she realizes I've tricked her.

I reach the witch's lair. "I've brought the chest, now let her go," I demand firmly. Cheyenne seems scared but otherwise alright, much to my relief. After hesitating, the witch relents. "Very well. But YOU stay." Cheyenne looks at me as if asking what to do, but I nod for her to go. I'm glad to be prisoner in her stead. She leaves.

I realize that I did not tell anyone of my plan. Cheyenne will probably go get help, but by then it might be too late. As the witch rambles to me about what seems like her life story (I'm only pretending to pay attention), I discreetly send Jake a text message, hoping he'll come to my aid.

      Shenanigans in the Sky (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I am going in for work early, but the tech office is not in it's normal location: it is in a palace in the sky. This does not strike me as unusual in the slightest. I take the elevator and come out in a vast expanse of cloud, which I easily walk across to get to the palace.

In the tech office, Maria (my supervisor) is really frazzled about some new crisis that's going on. She runs out, leaving me to watch the phone. It seems that Her Majesty Queen Victoria is angry at the King, and it is causing all sorts of problems for everyone. When Maria returns, she charges me with the duty of trying to make peace between the two quarreling monarchs.

I am very reluctant to do this, but I begin writing a letter to the Queen anyway. A non-vampire version of Marceline from Adventure Time shows up to assist me. (We seem to have been friends prior to these events.) She says that a letter is not going to do any good: we'll have to have audience with the Queen herself and personally talk some sense into her.

We both sneak past the guards and enter the throne room, where the Queen and King are still arguing loudly. We approach the throne and bow. Queen Victoria rolls her eyes at this display of formality, considering we are somewhat friends with her due to events that took place prior to the dream.

We reason with the Queen, telling her that this fight is hurting everyone in the kingdom. We ask her to make up with her husband. She finally relents, much to our delight.

Now Marceline and I are sitting on a guest couch, still in the throne room. She looks at me and begins mumbling and stuttering something, clearly nervous. "What is it?" I ask her, curious at her rare display of uncertainty.

She admits that she has feelings for me and wants to know if I feel the same way. To answer her question, I lean forward and kiss her, pushing her down on the couch and snuggling closer to her. She laughs. "I'll take that as a yes." We continue to kiss for a while until the Queen says we need to find a more appropriate place to display our affections.

      Night of 10/16/12

The choice to skip my classes today has ultimately sealed my fate. Had I not been feeling so ill this morning, I'd have never run into Alice as she fearlessly chased after her vile and mysterious enemy right by my dorm. Somehow I end up vowing to assist her. Now here I am, scaling buildings along side her in dead pursuit of the masked man and his henchmen.

We leap from rooftop to rooftop, killing henchmen as we go. She uses her unparalleled martial arts skills while I use a more mysterious power, the Branch of Sin, meaning that my blood itself is a weapon. ((Deadman Wonderland reference.))

My blood swirls like a whip from the palms of my hands, slicing enemies into bits. I remind myself not to overuse this power, or else the loss of blood will weaken me.

After losing track of the masked man, Alice and I meet up with Carlos, along with a young kid who is also helping us, to discuss strategy. However, we realize as soon as we reach our headquarters that something is wrong. The masked man is there, waiting for us. It is an ambush! His powers are unlike anything we've imagined, and though we make a break for it, it is not long before he and his henchmen have us tied up and helpless.

It is immediately clear that he plans to torture us.

I try to use my powers to take them by surprise, but one of the henchmen notices what I'm doing. Grinning wickedly, he grabs my foot and twists it roughly to the side. There is a loud, sickening CRACK. I know that there should be pain, but it doesn't hurt. Now, however, I'm too freaked out to concentrate on using my powers.

The masked man is debating on who to torture first. While he is distracted, Alice and Carlos manage to cut me free. I immediately run out the door to find help. It isn't long before I come upon the police station. I do not believe the police are equiped to deal with the Masked Man; however, they might provide enough resistance for Alice and the others to escape. As soon as the police move out to help, I begin to notice the throbbing pain in my foot. I take a moment to examine it; the top of my foot is darkly bruised, which I find odd since it should be my ankle that is broken.

Shaking away the pain, I run back to where my friends were held captive. As I expected, they all managed to escape. Weary and in pain, we slowly walk away from the horror we just faced, toward a beautiful ocean.

"Did I manage to get the police there before anything too bad happened?" I ask after a moment of silence.

"Yes. Are you quite pleased with yourself?" Alice remarks sarcastically. I am not sure why she is irritated with me; maybe because I am actually somewhat enjoying myself, now that we are out of harms way.

When I ignore her caustic remark, she continues, "Anyway, it's too dangerous for this to continue. I'm officially revoking your vow. You shouldn't be involved in this anymore."

I glare at her. "Vow or not, I'm still helping you. Besides, the enemy already knows what I look like. It's too late to quit now." Before she can protest, I look down at my broken foot, which is now becoming too painful to walk on. It appears as though my toe is broken as well, judging from the grotesque angle at which it is bent. I shudder, more in disgust than pain. "Now, I need one of you to carry me to a doctor."
      ((I wake up shortly afterward.))
