I will put in the box

the swish of a silk sari on a summer night,
fire from the nostrils of a Chinese dragon,
the tip of a tongue touching a tooth.

I will put in the box

a snowman with a rumbling belly
a sip of the bluest water from Lake Lucerene,
a leaping spark from an electric fish.

I will put into the box

three violet wishes spoken in Gujarati,
the last joke of an ancient uncle,
and the first smile of a baby.

I will put into the box

a fifth season and a black sun,
    a cowboy on a broomstick
and a witch on a white horse.

My box is fashioned from ice and gold and steel,
with stars on the lid and secrets in the corners.
Its hinges are the toe joints of dinosaurs.

I shall surf in my box
on the great high-rolling breakers of the wild Atlantic,
then wash ashore on a yellow beach
    the colour of the sun.

    1. The Face Stealer

by , 08-21-2012 at 03:15 PM (Magic Box)
I was walking around my neighborhood at twilight. The sky was starting to get dark, with streaks of orange here and there. For some reason, I decided to turn left down the street toward my friend's house. Suddenly, I saw a huge shadow on the ground, moving really quickly. It turned left just as I was about to. It was pitch black, and very long. Kind of like a giant snake in form. It also made this weird sound like scales being rubbed up on the ground while it moved past me. It all happened very quickly, and then it was gone. I stopped in my tracks. I knew what it was. It was the face stealer.

I had seen it in previous dreams, and this time, it somehow triggered lucidity. As soon as I got lucid, I heard the sound of its scales moving closer, until it just stopped. In the next instant, the shadow creature was in my face. Its head was massive, I could probably put my arms around it if I tried, which I didn't. It wasn't a shadow this time though. I could barely see its body extending infinitely, with dark green and blue scales like that of a reptile. I realized it didn't look like a snake – more like a dragon without legs. (okay maybe that's a snake already lol). The strangest thing was that its face seemed to change appearance very rapidly, like alternating between channels. I didn't recognize any of the faces though, but everytime it shifted, its eyes always looked straight at me.

I had been waiting to confront this monster for quite some time now, as it has haunted me a lot in the past. Luckily, I was lucid enough to know what to do. The face stealer was a made-up version of something I saw on TV. They are different in appearance, but they had the same motive – they would steal your face once you showed any emotion.

So I stayed still and let my face go slack. It was really hard because the creature was so scary and disturbing. Finally, I thought of an idea! But too late, it must've seen the surprise on my face. I suddenly felt my face contracting slowly. It wasn't painful, but I could feel it happening. A few seconds later, it stopped. I saw my face depicted on the face stealer's head. It was smiling eerily at me, with those crazy eyes like it wants to kill me. It was so weird seeing my face like that, and so huge.

Then I realized I couldn't talk. I tried to scream but nothing happened. I could see though. I put my hands to my face, and there wasn't anything on it. Literally. I poked the area where my eyes should've been, only smooth skin there. I apparently also didn't have a nose, though I could breathe just fine. I didn't have ears, nor a mouth. I had lost my whole face.

In a strike of perfect luck and timing, an idea popped into my lucid mind. I thought, since this was my dream, surely I could do something! I decided to be the face stealer this time. I closed my eyes (well, not really because I didn't have them, I simply chose not to see). Then I imagined the monster's face (my face) slowly contracting while I absorbed its features. I could hear the monster grunting as this was happening, until finally I only heard silence.

I opened my eyes, and saw that the monster didn't have my face anymore. No rapid shifting of faces either. It was just...a ginormous lump of coal with a scaly body. It wasn't moving either. I felt my face with my hands, and I could feel my mouth, nose, eyes, and ears – back to normal.

I flew away and never looked down. I went on to complete some goals I've been waiting to do, before I finally lost lucidity and woke up.

    2. Oh balls.

by , 08-08-2012 at 04:18 PM (Magic Box)
I get lucid spontaneously. I feel ecstatic because I am so sure it is a dream, and I somehow know that I haven't had a lucid in a while. It is nighttime, and I am outside my house, which is one of my dream signs. Perhaps that triggered my lucidity in some way? I am so caught up about gaining lucidity at last that I don't do any reality checks, and I forget to stabilize. Fortunately, the dream seems to be stable enough.

I see my friend – let's call her A – standing in front of a floating fireball. She is trying to manipulate it. Oh cool, she's a firebender. She looks at me and asks if I know how to firebend, and I say, "Yes, but I am better at manipulating fire than creating it." (Which is true, I'm a crappy firebender.) I hold out my arms, look back at the fireball, and proceed to firebend it by making it move and swish around in the air with delicate hand and wrist movements. After, I return the fireball to A, and she accepts it and suspends it in front of her.

I turn away so I could do some other things and not waste the lucidity. Suddenly, I see a little ball of electricity hovering a few inches above the ground in front of me. It was kind of sparking, and making some tiny crackling sounds. I try to manipulate it as well, but as soon as I point to it, it splits into two electricity balls – each one being the same size as the original ball. I am confused. I point at one of them, and again it splits into two. I continue pointing at them until I have about 20+ sparking balls in front of me.

I then decide to walk forward to get away again, but then the balls start electrocuting me as I come into contact with them. I run away in pain.

I stop somewhere beside the street. I decide to try to change the dreamscape. I close my eyes while thinking about being in a hotel room. I specifically choose this because I think that it would be easier to create a small room, as opposed to an outside setting with so many details. Sure enough, when I reopen my eyes, I am in a green-themed hotel room with plush couches and velvet curtains. Suddenly, a man and a woman appear behind me. They look like hotel employees. The woman says, "Oh sorry we didn't know this room was taken. We were just gonna have a quickie."

DAFUQ? O______O <<< yes that's exactly my reaction.

Slightly horrified by what I just heard, I decide to get out of the room. I see my friend – let's call her S – standing outside the door. She has crutches and some leg braces on. I am shocked because S is a dancer in real life, and that would be horrible if it came true. She starts crying, so I hug her. We stay like that for a long time, until I eventually lose lucidity and start to wake up for real.

    3. Moar bloodbending

by , 07-28-2012 at 10:59 AM (Magic Box)
My chem teacher was outside my house, shooting everyone with a machine gun. I got hit but didn't feel any pain. I got lucid and noseplugged. I confirmed it was a dream and decided to manifest a gun to shoot my chem teacher. But I couldn't, so I decided to bloodbend him. He went limp and lay on the ground just as I wanted him to do.

I woke up a few minutes after that, since I had to go somewhere for a school project. But I was informed that it was moved 2 hours later, so decided to go back to sleep and make it my WBTB+MILD (which I haven't done in a few days because of my schedule.) Sure enough, my safety net didn't fail me

I had an FA where I woke up 4 hours later than I should've. I panicked and did a noseplug like I usually do irl. I could breathe! I got lucid and stabilized. Something weird happened too. I was walking around thinking about the TOTM, but suddenly the dream just crashed D: I went into the void and lost lucidity. Then I had another FA where my mom woke me up. I got up and went to the bathroom. But then I realized my mom was out of town until tomorrow, so I noseplugged got lucid and ran outside. I created fireballs in my hands and threw them at some random DC's who ran away.

Then I was woken up once more by my sister. I RCed, but this time it was reality already. Haha.

    4. Ghost

by , 07-23-2012 at 02:29 PM (Magic Box)
I walked out of a door. I apparently just left my classroom. Someone was also with me, I don't know how, but I just knew she was a close friend. I couldn't remember her face though.

I slammed the classroom door shut behind us. I had the feeling that we were the last ones in the building. We started walking toward the stairs, but suddenly the door I just closed started to open by itself. I remember hearing the slow creaking sound too. "What's happening?", my friend asked. "I don't know, I closed it I swear!!", I replied. Wide-eyed, we looked at each other for a second, then dashed for the stairs. I shoved her aside so I could go down first (move b*tch! lol).

I'm pretty sure we were on the 4th floor. So I thought "Man, 3 more floors to go!". My friend had caught up with me by that time, so we went down together. We were still panicking because of the ghost opening the door upstairs.

We reached the first floor finally, and on our way out, I could see some of our other classmates waiting for us in the distance. My friend went ahead and ran to them. I was going to, but I noticed a little boy standing just outside the door. I went to him and told him to get out of there, because there was a ghost. He said it wasn't true, and that ghosts weren't real. I was flailing my arms at him, trying to get him to come with me. He wouldn't listen though, so I just left him and ran to my classmates.

When I arrived, they asked, "Who were you talking to?".

I said, "The boy won't listen to me! I told him to get away from there!".

Then they said the creepiest thing.

"What boy? There was nobody there. You were talking to yourself."

    5. Noseplug fail

by , 07-20-2012 at 11:01 AM (Magic Box)
I was walking home when I saw a neighbor washing her clothes in a basin. There was also another basin beside her, filled with clear water. I got lucid right away because of the unusual scene, and I did the noseplug. It didn't work!!! D: D: D:

But I was so sure that it was a dream! I pinched my nose again, and it still didn't work. I went near my neighbor and said, "This is a dream, right?". She said, "Yes", while still washing her clothes. I pinched my nose a third time, really imagining myself breathing, and voila! I could breathe through my nose. I looked at the basin with water in it, and held my hand out to waterbend it. But all I could manage to do was create small ripples in the water. I tried concentrating hard, but I couldn't manipulate it as well as I normally could. I was getting a bit frustrated, thinking my control sucked so bad. I also recall thinking "LucidAvenger is jynxing me!" (We were talking on IRC earlier about my waterbending)

I walked away, trying to remember my lucid goals for the month. I must've lost lucidity somewhere in between. I remember drifting off into some non-lucids before I finally woke up to my alarm.

      Nonlucid Lucid

I am in my school's parking lot. I see a white horse in one of the parking spaces. Suddenly it gallops away. I look at the security guard and say, "We have to catch it!". He looks at me and replies, "Okay. Hop on my back." I was like wuuuut?! Then he turns into a huge brown horse before my eyes.

The scene changes and I am on top of a building, trying to stay away from an explosion down below. I hear the BOOM! and shield myself with my arms. No good, I get hit by shrapnel anyway. I look at my hands and I see dozens of deep gashes, oozing with blood. I only feel pressure though, no pain. This makes me wonder.

I become lucid. By the time I looked away from my hands and at my surroundings, I was already outside my house. I walk slowly around and rub my hands to stabilize. I reach the street and see a random DC whom I don't recognize. I decide to shoot him, just for fun (No, I am not promoting shooting for fun! lol)

I don't have a gun in my hand, so I close my eyes for a brief moment and imagine a gun materializing. When I open my eyes again, I am holding a small revolver. I aim at the DC and shoot. He drops to the ground. Then I notice a police officer a few meters away, watching me with wide eyes. I stand there for a moment, trying to figure out what he's gonna do. He grabs his walkie-talkie and says some alert code into it. I see a car near me, with a man on the passenger seat. I get in the driver's seat and drive away. I'm thinking about just flying away or something, but I don't seem to have good control, so I decide to follow the dream instead. Some police cars are chasing me. I realize I'm out of gas, so I stop at a petrol station. Oddly, the police stop as well to give me time to refuel hahahaha.

I grab the fuel nozzle thing and press some numbers on the digital interface thing.
Not sure what happens after this, I remember trying to read the numbers properly, but I lose lucidity sometime in between.

    7. 2nd WILD

by , 07-13-2012 at 11:41 AM (Magic Box)
Last night there was a party at my house and I slept at around 3 am. Got woken up at around 5, so I decided to attempt a WILD. I was still kinda tired but I was able to stay awake while laying still. About 20 minutes later I started having HI which quickly turned into a dream scene. At first I was just breathing slowly and seeing blankness, then a few moments later, blobs quickly turned into an image (it may have taken a long time but it felt really quick). The image was of a large boat with yellow and green sails, and there was a man pulling some ropes down. It was quite amazing how the colors were so vivid, and I even smelled seawater!

This time, I didn't even notice any SP at all. I watched the boat scene for a few seconds, and my vantage point was somewhere on the deck (though I still seemed to not be in the dream, like it was just a movie). I remembered Sageous telling me to just "put myself in the scene" and not try to "walk into the dream". I had a hard time figuring out how to do that, so I closed my dream eyes and imagined being in the scene when I opened them. At first I was afraid that if I did that, I might open my real eyes, but I tried anyway (I had no other ideas at the moment). And when I opened them, sure enough, I could move around my own dream body! It was surreal!

I walked around slowly while rubbing my hands (nothing happened, the scene was really vivid) and then I touched the railing. The ocean looked black, I noticed. I walked toward the man pulling the ropes, but before I could reach him, I was woken up by my friend who wanted me to walk her home.

Gaaaaa it was really amazing!! Everything felt so real!

    8. Non-lucid Dragon Dream

by , 07-11-2012 at 02:59 PM (Magic Box)
I woke up to the sound of screaming people outside my house. I got up and rushed out the door to see what the commotion was all about. There were many people on the streets, all of them riding blue Vespa-looking motorcycles. They all seemed to be running away from something. I looked up, and immediately saw a large purple dragon with very very small wings circling overhead. I thought, "Oh cool, a dragon. Why does it have such small wings?"

I'm not quite sure what happened, or how it happened, but apparently, I became the dragon. My body felt very heavy, and my arms (or wings) felt painful. I looked down and saw all the people in the blue motorcycles running away from me.

I didn't know exactly how to fly, so I started plummeting towards the people down below. I tried to tell them that it's me and I won't hurt them, but nothing came out of my mouth, except a misty and warm fog (and yes I really felt the warmth!)

Not sure what happened afterwards. I don't remember ever hitting the ground.

    9. My First Possession

by , 06-24-2012 at 10:47 AM (Magic Box)
I see a man and a woman jogging around the perimeter of a small house. I guess it's theirs. They both have jogging pants and t-shirts on, as well as sweatbands on their wrists and forehead. I notice that they just keep going around in circles. They don't even notice I'm here.

I become lucid. I pinch my nose and rub my hands. Everything is a bit hazy but no matter how much I rub my hands, the visuals don't improve. This will do.

Immediately, I think about doing the tasks of the month, but soon realize that I already have. Then I think about trying the task for last month, which was to possess someone. I am really curious how that one feels like.

The woman stops near me and takes out her ringing cell phone from her pocket. She flips it open and talks into it, speaking in my native dialect. I slowly approach her, and she doesn't seem to see me. I hug her from behind, and she wriggles, yelling "Naunsa man ko?! (What's happening to me?!)"

Then, carefully, I phase through her body, until she finally stops moving. I realize that I feel very uncomfortable, like some part of my body was itchy and I just can't pinpoint where exactly. I figure that it must be the woman, trying to control her own body, but she can't. I move my newly acquired arms around a bit, testing them out. I think about flying away, but quickly decide against it, since I usually lose lucidity when I do so. I then proceed to walk toward the house.

My new meat-suit is still very uncomfortable to be in, it feels itchy all over. As I approach the door, the woman's husband stops and asks me to continue jogging with him. I say no, but suddenly my body starts to jog in place. I try to will myself to stop, but I can't seem to. I decide to leave the woman's body, but I can't seem to either.
      I lose lucidity thereafter.

Soon enough, the man and I are jogging side by side, going in circles around their house. I stay there, trapped in the body of the woman I possessed.

    10. I Am A Tumbleweed

by , 06-23-2012 at 02:52 PM (Magic Box)
I am sitting on a very high dirt mound. I'm looking at a deserted town below me. The place looks arid and dead.

Out of nowhere, someone pushes me down. I put my arms out in front of me to break my fall, but they suddenly turn into roots. Yes, roots. They look like dry roots of a plant. They start from my fingertips, quickly creeping up and turning my arms into roots.

I think, "How..? This is a dream! AWW YES!!". I become lucid. At the same moment, I start rolling down the dirt mound. I imagine myself stopping, but nothing happens. I am still rolling. A few seconds after, I notice that I have completely gone off the dirt mound, but I am still rolling on the ground. I try to fly away, morph, change the dream scene, but nothing works. I remember thinking to myself how crappy my dream control is.

I'm still rolling on the ground, feeling sick. I try to turn to my left, success! At least I can control the direction I'm rolling towards.

It isn't long before I start to lose lucidity, what with all the rolling and crappy control.

And that's it. That was the day I became a tumbleweed.

    11. Catching Apples Like A Boss

by , 05-29-2012 at 12:51 PM (Magic Box)
I am riding a bike down the road. It is starting to get dark, and I remember feeling very cold. I'm also starting to get tired from pedalling, so I slow down and eventually stop the bike. I get down, and drag it to the side of the road, where I gently lay it on the ground (there was no bike stand). I sit down on the ground beside it.

I notice that on the other side of the road is a riverbank, and I can hear the faint sound of running water. For a moment, I think about going over there and maybe try some waterbending, but I feel too lazy to get up. I look down and notice that my right shoe is untied, so I reach over to fix it. When I look back up, the riverbank is gone. Instead, I now see a massive church structure. It has a magnificent black facade, with dozens of colorful stained-glass windows. I also notice that it is now completely dark outside, the only illumination being the light coming from the church's windows.

I get up. Weird, I think. My bike's gone as well. I shrug it off and start walking towards the church.

The massive doors are closed, albeit unlocked. They are also quite grimy, mostly from being so old. I easily push them open and step inside.

Woah, this place is huge!, I notice. The inside of the church looks very old and unkempt. There is an altar at the far end of the hall, and where the pews should be, there's just a massive space. There are also a lot of green and orange leaves on the floor.

Out of nowhere, I start to smell apples. At first the scent is really faint like the leftover odor of dilute perfume, but a few seconds later, it starts to smell really strong, and my nose starts to itch.

I look down at my hands and notice that they're very dirty -- probably from pushing the doors which were covered in age-old dust. I clap my hands twice to get the dust off of them. *clapclap*

THOK! I hear something drop on the floor in front of me. I bend down too see it clearer. It's an apple!

I look up to the ceiling and see that it is fully covered with branches and leaves, and there are many apples hanging from them. I instantly get the urge to grab some, but they are far too high, there's no way I can reach them. Unless...

I clap my hands twice again. *clapclap*

THOK! An apple drops and hits me on the head, before falling on the ground. Oww, WTF!, I curse. It hurts a lot. I pick up the apple, and I think about taking it home with me. Eughh this one has a huge dent, probably from the impact when it fell.

Okay, you can do this, I mumble to myself. I look up and focus on one perfectly plump and red apple directly above me.

*clapclap*. Immediately, the apple falls. But this time I'm ready, I take a step back and put both my hands in front of me. PLOP. Perfect catch. I put it gently on the floor, while I try to catch more apples.

I walk around, looking up, trying to decide which apples look best so I can bring them home.

      Ahhh that one's nice! *clapclap*.
PLOP. Another perfect catch. Pffft, so easy.

I do this a few more times, inspecting each apple for dents or other imperfections, and throwing out any apples that don't meet my standards.

      *clapclap*. PLOP.
      *clapclap*. PLOP.
      *clapclap*. PLOP.

Soon enough, I have a bunch of perfectly plump and red apples stacked up on the floor. I look at them in delight and eagerness.

Okay, just a few more and I'll be on my way.

      *clapclap*... Huh?
      *clapclap*...

      Wait, why isn't it falling?
      *clapclap*... Still not falling...
      *CLAP-fvcking-CLAP*!!!
      Still nothing...

At this point I'm quite furious. I start clapping like crazy.

      *clapclapclapclapclapclapclapclapclapclapclapclap
      clapclapclapclapclapclapclapclapclapclapclapclap*

I don't know how exactly, but at some point in my clapping madness, the dream shifts. I'm still clapping though, apparently for some Asian boy band on a stage. But I can't quite remember what happens after this.

    12. Shikaka! Ace Ventura!

by , 05-18-2012 at 12:05 PM (Magic Box)
CONTINUATION TO Mr. Anubis (le click!)

It is very dark. I don't know where I am. I vaguely remember myself plunging to the ground, but beyond that, I can't seem to recall anything.

I reach out in front of me. Empty space.
I wave my arms around, trying to feel anything.
      But there is nothing there.

I start walking forward, arms extended. After a few seconds of walking blindly, I feel a flat, smooth object. I swipe my hand over it, and realize that it is a wall. I feel a small protrusion a few inches to the right. Ah, a light switch. I flip it.

A fluorescent bulb lights up the room.

I am surprised when I see Jim Carrey sitting on a chair in the far end of the room. He is wearing an orange Hawaiian shirt with floral print. His hair is perfectly coiffed upward, with a swirly end, like Jimmy Neutron's.

      I immediately think,"Ohh, it's Ace Ventura!"

He is sitting cross-legged, just staring at me, with a goofy grin.

It takes me a few moments to realize that he isn't moving at all. I take baby steps towards him, trying not to make a sound. He looks like a mannequin.

I am now standing in front of him. I wave my hand in his face. He doesn't blink.

I start to turn away when...

      "SHIKAKA!!"

He yells this so loudly and so unexpectedly that I am taken aback and I go, "Wh-? Ahh! This is a dream!"

I go lucid. I rub my hands and the surroundings become really vivid.

      "PSYCH!! You're dreaming! Nananananana batman!"

I smile when he says this. Nice, my DC knows it's a dream.

      "Can I leave?" I ask.

"Sure," he says, "Just do me a favor."

      "What?" I say.

"Can you summon Adam Levine?" he starts, "I need him... for... reasons."

      I laugh.

      "I'll try" I say.

I close my eyes and imagine Adam Levine materializing in front of me.

I open one eye to see, but it doesn't seem to be working.

"Try harder. Owowowowowowo!" Ace says, tapping his palm on his mouth repeatedly, like a Native Indian.

I close my eyes again, and try to summon Adam Levine once more.

While my eyes are closed, I start to see blobs of different colors. I also see patterns of lines and curves, forming different shapes I can't yet recognize.

I am so fascinated by them, that I just stare in awe. I start to forget what I was supposed to do in the first place.

As I enjoy the sights, I don't notice myself losing lucidity.

I end up drifting off into a couple on non-lucids, before I finally wake up to my alarm.

      -----------------------------------------

I shall forever spend my life walking the Earth, wondering what Ace Ventura would have done to (with?) Adam Levine if I had successfully summoned him.

I still remember the non-lucids I had after this, but I have decided not to journal them here... for... reasons.

      Haha. x)

I am walking home. It is sunset.

As I round the curb to my house, I see this Anubis creature standing outside the door, along with dozens of spear-holding men in tunics. Mr. Anubis is very tall, probably about 8 feet. He is also very macho, with glistening black skin and a canine head. He is in an Egyptian attire decked in gold blings.

I stop walking. His ears snap up.
      He sees me, and growls.

I have a moment of panic, but then I become lucid. The weird atmosphere is more noticeable. I do the noseplug and I can breathe. I then rub my hands, and the visuals become clearer (though still a bit hazy).

Mr. Macho Anubis is still there, and he starts to growl. The men start to march towards me in cadence. I can hear and feel their heavy footsteps on the ground. I close my eyes and try my best to make them disappear. I imagine them poofing off into oblivion.

It doesn't work. I open my eyes and they're still coming.
They're only a few feet away from me now. I decide to bolt.

I fly up and steer to the left, feeling relieved that I escaped.

Then, I hear a familiar growl behind me. I look back and see Mr. Macho Anubis flying after me! Holy $#!* this dog-man flies?! I fly a bit faster, but my control is crappy, and my pursuer is catching up. It is then that I decide to fly straight down and phase through the ground so he will lose track of me.

I see nothing but darkness as I am plummet through the earth. I have no idea where it is gonna lead me.

I end up in the void.

      Then I lose lucidity.

There are two parts to this dream, the second one I put in a different entry, since it has a somewhat different storyline. Also, to prevent this entry from being too long and dragging. :3

    14. The Beautiful Winged Man

by , 05-14-2012 at 12:34 PM (Magic Box)
      "Saab! Saab!"

I yell this over and over at the top of my lungs. I have no idea what it means.

Somehow, I feel very anxious about something. I look around me and see that I am at a wooden dock at the edge of a lake. I look at the water. It looks black and stagnant. It smells putrid too.

There is noone else in the area, and I can't see anything in the distance besides trees and shrubs in weird hypnotic colors. I try to look at them for a few seconds, but it hurts my eyes and it makes me feel dizzy so I look away, back at the lake.

      "Saab!", I yell again.

I hear the flapping of what seems to be a very large bird a few feet behind me. I turn around and see a man flying down towards the dock. Yes. He is flying. Or falling, descending, whichever.

The first thing that I notice are his wings. They are so huge and spread out to about four times the man's size. They are also silver in color, and somewhat shiny and glittery. I stand there, dumbfounded. He was beautiful.

As he lands on the wooden deck, it creaks beneath his weight. Then he gently folds his wings at his sides. He takes two steps forward.

The man doesn't seem to be wearing anything but a blue cloth around his waist. He isn't fat nor thin. He looks quite fit actually, and yes, hooray! He has abs.

It doesn't even register to me that he is another kind of being. At that moment, it feels perfectly normal to me.

What catches my attention is the fact that I can't see his face. There seems to be some bright white light emanating from it. I try to look, but it is too radiant. I put my hands over my eyes and whisper, "Saab?".

      "Mmhmm", he replies.

For some weird reason, I feel like I've known him for a long time. His voice is very deep, and it sounds very familiar and reassuring.

      "How've you been, Paigey?"

I don't know what to say to this strange man. I fall silent, hands in my face. I am slightly hypnotized by his tone, and I rack my brain, trying to think about where I've heard him before.

He then starts talking really fast in a different language. I don't know what language it is, but it doesn't seem to be something I know or something I've heard before.

"Adsujaybiowakaduwifudjyadhwier". Or something like that. (Close enough.)

Whatever he was saying, it sounded beautiful for some reason.

      "Whaaa?!," I say, frustrated.

I forget that I'm still covering my eyes. He grabs my wrists, and starts pulling them away from my face.

      "I said...", he whispers.

      "...look at me."

He lets go of my hands, and I contemplate in silence whether I should open my eyes or not.

      Then I decide to.

My eyes flutter open, but the beautiful winged man is no longer in sight. I look around, but he is nowhere to be found. I am alone once again.

I look back at the lake, and notice that the water is now crystal clear with some kind of bluish glow to it. I also notice that the place smells like apples.

The wooden dock suddenly starts trembling like crazy. I wobble, trying to keep my balance.

"Saab! Saab!," I find myself yelling over and over, before I finally wake up to my sister shaking the life out of me, trying to wake me up for school.

      --------------------------------------

The thing is, I don't know who the man was, nor do I know what he was. To others, he may be called an angel. I don't know. I am uncertain about their existence, but I'd like to keep an open mind. There are just some things I'd rather not question -- things that are too complicated for my little brain to comprehend. I don't know what the dream meant, but I'd like to hope that somewhere, somehow, there is a beautiful winged man watching over and protecting me. (And making sure I don't get my ass in trouble!)

      *Wow. So deep. LOL.*

    15. Lucid #18

I am in my house. I walk to the bathroom. As I get inside, I turn on the lights and see JP, an actor in my country. He looks at me, puzzled.

ME: "Wait... How... Woah! This is a dream!"

Almost immediately, everything turns extremely vivid, and I am aware that the atmosphere is quite different, I can't really describe it.

      JP: "Huh?"

      ME: "This is a dream!"

      JP: "Are you okay?"

ME: "Look, my hand will have 7 fingers."

I close my eyes for a few seconds, and imagine my left hand having 7 fingers. I put my hand up (they're playing my song, the butterflies fly away! lol). But there are only 5 fingers. Epic. Fail.

JP looks even more puzzled. I walk over to the light switch and flip it off and on a couple of times. It stays on no matter what I do.

      Me: "See?"

JP walks over to me and tries it himself. It still stays on. He tilts his head, considering it.

ME: "Do you believe me now? How else would I be able to do this?"

I look over to the toilet bowl and waterbend the clear liquid out of it. I twirl it in the air for a few seconds before waterbending it back into the bowl. JP looks amazed.

JP: "Wow!! But, how can this be a dream?!"

Suddenly I hear a loud BOOM! JP and I both stumble to the floor, and I am quite confused and disorientated.

I lose consciousness and end up drifting into a non-lucid of which I can't remember the storyline.
