Non-Lucid Dreams
I am lost in a dark forest and though I cannot see them, I know there are goblins chasing me. The trees of the forest are huge and look like sequoias except that their bark is grey and white rather than red. I can see the full moon sometimes between the branches of the huge trees but it offers little light to find my way through the forest. I come to a river that is is not very wide but it is very deep and the water is moving very fast. I am afraid that I will be swept away with the current if I try to swim across. I head downstream, following as close to the river as I can while staying amoungst the trees. Because of the noise of the fast flowing water, I cannot hear goblins sneaking up behind me. One of them grabs my arm but I shake him off and in a panic I jump into the river. The water carries me fast and far away from the goblins but I have trouble keeping my head above the water and start to drown. I am almost out of air when someone grabs me around the waist and pulls me to the other side of the river. I cough out all the water I swallowed as the man who saved me pats me gently on the back. When I have calmed down a bit I see that we are in a clearing and with no trees blocking the moonlight I can see the man who saved me. He looks like Legolas (as played by Orlando Bloom in Peter Jackson's rendition of the Lord of the Rings trilogy), and is dressed in royal silver and blue robes. A silver crown sits on his head and catches the moonlight in such a way that it looks as if there is a glowing halo surrounding his head. I lay in awe on the ground and look up at him and he just softly smiles at me. I cannot remember any more of this dream.
I am in my old bedreeom at my parents house sometime in the early 90s. I appear as I did when I was about 14 or 15 or so. It is nighttime and the sun has not quite yet begun to rise. I can hear my mom and dad stirring in thier bedroom down the hall. Because I like to sleep in and afraid that my dad will try to get me at the same time he does (which is something he did throughout my whole teenage life) I get up and quietly close the door to my room. Even though I have the intention of going back to sleep I turn the light on for some reason and see that my bed is now covered in many books. Many are on Medieval folklore or literature but there is one book about how to write stories. I sit down on my bed and open it up to a section that is like a 'choose your own adventure' and also has many ideas for names. On the wall running parallel to my bed a vision or hallucination is projected of how my thoughts and imagination are processing the information of the book. The dimensions of my room suddenly change and it is much larger than before with a much higher ceiling. An orca whale appears and starts swimming around the air of my room like it was in water. Somehow I know that this orca is magic and also my animal companion. Reading more of the book I learn in the dream how to write fantastic stories and when I am done and put the book down I don't even need to use paper or writing implements because I can just project the images from my imagination onto the walls or floor of my bedroom and the images become real. Somehow I know that my magic orca is helping me do this but I don't know how to explain exactly in what ways. Because I have so many ideas in my head the scenes change quickly until one catches my eye. At first I cannot tell what it is. Projected on the floor of my bedroom something appears to be moving quickly under the water of a seagrass enclosed, shallow river channel along a Medieval looking countryside. It takes a few moments for me to recognize the creature but I finally realize that it is a beluga whale. My orca companion becomes excited and begins swimming around the room rather exuberantly. I take a picture of the beluga scene for my orca companion with my imagination powers and my friend seens happy to float over my shoulder and look at the postcard sized image for a while, though for some reason he seems rather sad all of a sudden. The beluga in the projected scene seems to realize this somehow and starts blowing bubbles. One bubble is very big and the orca swims towards it, shrinking insize as he goes, until he is small enough to fit inside of it. As soon as he goes inside of the bubble both the orca and the bubble disappear along with the scene that had been projected on my floor. At first I am confused and unable to make the scene reappear. Then I notice that the postcard sized image has changed and now shows both the beluga and the orca swimming happily in the shallow river channel rather than the beluga alone. I somehow know that my orca is now with a friend and this makes me happy. The dream ends there.
This dream starts off with me watching Peter Jackson's rendition of the Lord of the Rings movie, the Fellowship of the Rings. Everything seems like it is in virtual reality or 3D and I am viewing the movie from the inside. I can move myself around and view everything from any angle I want but I am invisible to the characters in the film. The part of the film taking place is when Gandalf is imprisoned atop the Tower of Orthanc in Isengard and he looks over the edge to view the destruction of the trees and the beginning of Saruman's war industry. Everything feels very real like I am really there and watching a real event take place, even though paradoxically it feels as if my body is laying down on a bed. As the scene progresses a thick fog rolls in enveloping the top of the tower and making it impossible to see the things occuring on the ground below. Gandalf disappears and there is suddenly quiet, and along the edges of the tower's platform many standing easels appear with painting canvases on them, all facing towards the center where I am. At first the canvases are blank but as the fog swirls around them streaks of grey colour slowly start to appear, as if the fog was being imprinted on canvas or if the fog was doing the painting. The images look like rouge renditions of clouds or of the fog itself. I can feel the fog as it swirls all around and it is cold and damp, like sheets of cold silk being pulled across my skin, and at first I fear that I am being painted on too but when I look down I cannot see my body because it is either not there or invisible. The scene changes and I am in a painting studio somewhere in Renaissance Italy. It is nighttime and the room is dimly lit by a few candles and is filled with the thick fog from the previous scene. Men of various ages start entering the room from a door on the west side of the room but it is too dark to see there faces. They all sit or stand at canvases around the room and begin painting in the dim candle light despite the thick fog. A large window on the east side of the room begins to light up as the sun begins to rise and as it does so I can see the men's faces and what they are painting. The men are all famous painters throughout history, from the late medieval period to the late 19th Century and even though they are dressed according to their specific time period, they are all painting pictures of clouds, under the direction of a man dressed in black Renaissance style clothing whom I think is Leonardo daVinci. I am in awe of all the painters and am entralled to be able to watch them work. As the sun rises further the fog dissipates even more and almost disappears completely. There are all different sorts of clouds being painted: there are thick, dark storm clouds; fluffy white clouds lit by bright sunlight; clouds lit my the moon, and so on. One of the painters is even trying to paint the fog in the room. The painting they are creating are incredibly beautiful and I remember thinking to myself "I wish I could paint like that." Everything still feels very real and even though I still feel like I am laying down, I can move about the room to get a closer look at some of the paintings. At one point I stretch out my arm and touch one of the canvases and I can feel the wet paint on my fingers, though I cannot see it because my body is still invisible. (Through all of this I still had the sensation that my body was laying on a bed. I know it is contradictory, but I felt I was both laying down and moving around as if free from my body. I don't know really how to explain it.) The day seems to go by too quickly and the sun begins to fade and the room begins to darken. The fog returns and becomes thick again as the sun goes down. The scene changes yet again and I am now indeed laying on my bed in my apartment and I can see my body. The images of famous painters creating images of clouds in a foggy room is still before my eyes, projected on the far wall of my bedroom as if it were a vision or hallucination. My room is suddenly full of the clouds they are painting, lit by the setting sun, and I am again entralled by the beauty of it, though my body lays motionless upon my bed as if paralyzed. As the sun sets and the room becomes darker, the painters themselves disappear though the images on the canvases continue as if painted by invisible hands or creating themselves. The beautiful oranges, pinks and purples on the clouds fades to a dull grey and soon I can no longer differentiate the clouds from the fog because it is too dark. The light fades competely and everything goes black. The dream ends there because I wake up.

I am at a zoo or park or something and there is a large circular enclosure that sinks into the ground and people can look into from above. I am a part of a research team there to study the newly arrived inhabitants of the enclosure which consist of normal looking domestic cats - normal except for the fact that they have a naturally built in poisonous bite. Two of the cats stand out to me because they look exactly like my two kittens Kali and Mirage, though in the dream I know they are not actually my cats: Getting close to the cats is hard because they are wild in behaviour and shy away from humans. Capturing them is equally hard because they try to use their poisonous bite when cornered or picked up, and indeed one of the researchers is bitten and has to be rushed to the hospital. The cats are natural tree climbers and spend most of their time in the branches of the tree in the enclosure, adding to the difficulty in reaching them. I observe the cats from a distance for several days before setting up a small camp within the enclosure to observe them a little closer. In a few more days the cats are used to my presence and even come out of the trees to explore and investigate my stuff like normal curious housecats would do. They still run away when I approach them though. I end of the dream is a bit fuzzy but I am able to befriend the two cats that look like mine and they even let me hold them, so I can do physical assessments on them. I cannot remember the end of the dream.

I am in my parent's basement and there are hundreds of people there, all holding hands and spiralling around me. It is a physical and visual representation of a new internet fad that is like twitter but consists of short video clips. Someone starts a post on a certain topic and anyone can respond with thier own video clip or something like that. The scene changes and I am outside in a park somewhere but the same thing is going on. I am viewing the video twitter clips on a laptop but there are still people holding hands and spinning around me. There is a part about someone not being able to post because they are South American and I protest and start a new video twitter about it. Many people get in line behind me to use my computer so they can also post their protests. Near the end of the dream some celebrities show up to join in but the only one I can remember is Michael Bolton.
Dream starts off in a light temperate forest by a rivers edge. There is a Japanese settlement by the water's edge at the bottom of a cliff. Most of the people there dress in traditional Japanese clothing and are miner's and fishermen but lately they have been complaining about wolf sightings near the settlement and claim that the fishing huts are being raided at night by the wolves. I am sent in with two other people to search the forest and do an zoological study of the wolves and alleged behaviour but we search the forest for many days and find no sign of them at all. When we tell the Japanese settlers this they start claiming that they are being haunted by ghost wolves. That same day active but undetonated bombs are unearthed around the village, leftovers from American bombing during World War Two. The village shaman says that the spirits of these hidden bombs were what the villiagers saw as wolves. The people believe that they will no longer see the wolves now that the bombs have been removed. My team and I are not convinced that the wolf sightings were just apparitions and search the forest again. We split up to cover more gorund and in the middle of one sunny day I am on a mount or a hill or something deep in the forest when three grey wolves appear and surround me on the hill. They do not growl or otherwise threaten me but also do not let me leave, blocking my path whenever I try to back away or run. They do not speak to me directly but I sense that they are trying to communicate with me somehow. I use my digital camera to take pictures of the wolves and after I have done so they finally back down and disappear back into the forest. I contact my collegues and we reconviene at the settlement but when I try to show them the images I captured on my digital camera, my camera will not work despite having a new battery in it. My collegues said that they did not see any wolves themselves but felt that they were being followed. I cannot remember anymore of this dream.
Dream starts off at Lake Whittaker, the trailer park my parents frequent in the summer on the weekends. There is a forest behind their trailer and I am there with my mom having an argument about shopping or something. She said she was going to take me shopping for several weekends but when the time comes she makes some excuse and never follows through. We argue for a while and she finally agrees to take me shopping and we follow a path through the forest behind the trailer that leads to an outdoor store selling mainly office supplies, but also some dollar store odds and ends. I become upset because I am pacing the aisles looking for something specific and cannot find it. My mom is getting upset and wants to leave but I absolutely refuse to leave until I find what I am looking for, which turns out to be shoes and accessories for my Barbie doll (even though in the dream I think to myself "I'm almost 30 years old. What do I need Barbie doll shoes for?") After paying for the toys and returning to the trailer I become upset again because the shoes we bought were the wrong onee and I want to exchange them but my mom has had enough of shopping and tells me that I have to go exchange them myself. I walk back along the path to the outdoor store and find it deserted and many of the aisles are a mess like someone has been violently rummaging through the items and tossing them about. I decide that I am just going to leave the old package and take the new one when just then I hear things being scattered about in one of the far aisles. Upon investigation I find a large black bear knocking things off the shelves and scattering things about. It is growling and foaming at the mouth but thankfully doesn't see me because it's back it turned. I run towards the path in the forest but that catches the attention of the black bear which then starts chasing me. A dryer maching has appeared in the middle of the forest path and I jump inside of it and slam the door shut. It is sturdy and thick enough that the bear cannot get inside and it eventually loses interest and takes off into the forest. I slowly and quietly make my way along the forest path trying not to draw attention to myself lest I come across the bear again. The path back to my parent's trailer seems much longer than before and in the middle of it a wide, shallow river has appeared. There are minature houses built along the water's edge and a waterfall nearby. On the path across the river I see something dark lumber across and think it is the black bear waiting for me so I throw myself into the river out of fear and let myself go over the waterfall. The dream ends there.
The beginning of the dream is long and concerns a secret military base in a valley in an unnamed country, though I have forgotten most of it. I am my Chinese dream incarnate Chun-li. The military base contains a medical ward that has an odd layout. One end of the infirmiry is located by a lake at the far end of the valley, while another part of it is located up river in a square building in the central region of the valley. I (as Chun-li) am a scientifically engineered super soldier and have been hybernating in a deep sleep for many years. The army commanders decide to wake me up for some reason and send me from one end of the medical facility to the other, but even though I just woke up and I am not at full physical strength, they make me walk up the river to the other building. Along the way I pass a gnarley, leafless tree that has three blue sacs sitting in three different crooks of the tree. The sacs are about soccor ball sized and transparent, when I look inside each of them I can see blue embryos and upon seeing them I know they are "my eggs" and that they are a combination of my cloned cells and my ovarian egg cells combined to create more super soldiers like me. They are alive and thriving but I wonder why they have been placed in a tree and are not in a scientific lab. I continue on my way to the square building and see a group of soldiers digging away at the base of a cliff on the other side of the river. They look farmiliar to me but I cannot place their names, and they do not notice my prescence. When I arrive at my destination I am immediately placed in bed and given a private room to rest in. I am fading in and out of consciousness for several hours as a variety of people, including doctors, scientists and old army buddies come in to check on me. Some doctors and scientists come in one day and put me to sleep with anestesia. Even though my body is unconscious my mind can hear them talking. They are discussing my eggs in the tree down the river and arguing whether it would be best for their development to stay in the tree or to transplant the eggs back into my body now that I was out of deep hybernation. The doctors seem to be arguing that it would be better for the eggs to be returned to my body while the scientists were saying that the eggs would become stronger by being in the tree. At the conclusion of the argument, the blue eggs, which were now golf-ball sized, were placed back into my body to develop, but the dream ended before the anestesia wore off and I could wake up. Dream starts off with Link from the The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time entering a dark dungeon with grey stone walls. A narrow hall leads to a large square shaped room that has a platform in the center with bridges leading to doors in the southern and eastern walls. The platform is surrounded by dead bodies, hanging from chains, suspended over flaming pits of lava. Instead of a creature from the Ocarina of Time the first enemy encountered there is a cacodemon from the Doom videogame series. Link cannot kill it because it floats just out of range of his Master Sword, above his head, near the ceiling. Link escapes through the door in the south and finds himself in a small maze of long halls with many identical looking doors. Most of the doors are fake and the halls dead ends but Link stumbles upon a fake wall in the eastern part of the maze that leads to a room with a treasure chest that contains the Eye of Truth. The new treasure reveals which doors are real and which are false and also shows entrances to hallways that were hidden behind fake walls. Down one such hidden halls in the weatern part of the maze Link encounters more cacodemons but is able to kill them this time because the hallways has a very low ceiling and the demons cannot float out of reach of his sword. Beyond them is a short "t" shaped hall extension that Link quickly discovers is booby trapped. When he tries to reach the treasure chest at the far end of the hallway, rockets come flying out of a hidden alcove in the opposite end of the hall. Link's shield is unable to effectively protect him from the exploding rockets so he is forced to retreat to the entrance of the "t" shaped hall to figure out what to do next. Just then a cacodemon comes wandering down the hall and Link lures it into the "t" shaped hall. The rockets start firing at the new target, which becomes confused and tries to attack the wall hiding the rocket launcher, and while he has a chance, Link runs to the treasure chest and claims the prize which turns out to be the Biggoron's Sword. He runs out of the hall mazy and back to the central room where there is now one of those brain demons. Despite it being twice the size and strength of a cacodemon, Link makes short work of it with the Biggoron's sword and moves goes through the door in the eastern wall. The next room is similar to the hallway maze but instead of walls and fake doors the maze is made up of public bathroom stalls that are all painted light blue. Some stalls are the entrance to new hallways of stalls but because all of the stalls have doors that are closed, Link has to check them all one at a time. For some reason the Eye of Truth will not work here and some stalls contain hidden cacodemons and other monsters, making searching for the exit tedious and frustrating. The dream becomes fuzzy but Link ends up in another large room facing more of the brain demons after finding his way out of the bathroom stall maze. There is a door that leads outside and onto the tarmac of a parking lot where a 1979 brown chevy Nova sits. The landscape of the surrounding area is an arid desert like you would find in Arizona. A man behind the wheel of the car, who looks like Bob Hoskins, and a woman with brown wavy hair, urge Link to get in the car. The exit of the dungeon smashes open and one of those huge cyberdemons with a rocket launcher for an arm comes stomping out. Link tries cutting it's leg with the Biggoron's sword but it has no effect so he dives into the backseat and the car burns rubber to get out of there and onto a deserted highway. It doesn't go very though because it the blast from an exploding rocket causes it to spin out of control and into a dirt patch on the other side of the highway. The three occupants of the car lay low and very still because they believe that if they they do not move the demon will not be able to see them. Apparently it works as the demon seems to have lost sight of the car despite the fact that it is a mere 50 feet away. I cannot remember any more of the dream.

At the beginning of the dream a new hospital has opened on the border between South and North Korea. The hospital was created by the United Nations for the people of both countries who cannot afford healthcare on their own. It is supposed to be politically neutral, and it was when it first opened, but the tentions between the two countries have overlapped into the hospotal building and it is now divided. The nouth end of the hospital is declared the territory and property of North Korea and the south end of the hospital to South Korea. While doctors and hospital workers can go anywhere in the building, North Koreans are restricted to the north end of the building and South Koreans to the south end. These restrictions were brought about by the North Korean leader Kim Jong-il to prevent people from North Korea from escaping through the hospital and defecting to the south. South Koreans are barred by armed soldiers located in the north end from entering and North Koreans are arrested if they try to enter the south end. Other than these strange rules, the hospital functions normally after some renovations are made to make sure that both South and North Koreans have access to the care they need in their respective building space. This includes two seperate waiting rooms in each end of the building. The name of the hospital in the dream is the United Nations Hospital of Peace, but because it sits on the border of the two Koreas, people generally call it the Border Hospital. All of the doctors and care workers who are employed there are volunteers from different countries. This is so politics can be left out and the care of the patients remain priority. I have just finished my PHD in general medicine and I am transfered at my request to the Border Hospital. I am all idealistic and hopeful and actually think that I will be making a difference to bring about peace for the two countries by providing unconditional healthcare for all, and in the back of my mind I think about helping North Koreans defect secretly if I can but I voice my ideas to no one. The majority of my work is located in the south end of the hospital, but one night I am very tired after a long day of work and because it is so late I have missed the last bus that would take me to the small apartment where I live on the South Korean side of the border. The hospital is open twenty-four hours a day on the south side, but is forced closed at midnight in the north end by the North Korean army. Since the lobby in the south end is full of activity and people, I wander through the empty halls in the north end. After checking on some in-patients and running a few last errands I laid down to sleep on a padded bench in the lobby in the North Korean end. The dream changes from first person perspective to third person perspective. Sometime during the night, North Korean soldiers quietly enter the lobby and take me away in a dark green truck. Since the north end of the hospital was mostly empty of people, no one saw what happened and nothing is said about it publicly on the North Korean side the next day. I am missing for many days before two men from the United Nations come to investigate. Many people in the hospital tell them that they suspect that North Korea has me, but are afraid to make public accusations for fear that they will meet a similar fate. The two investigators do not have many leads when one day they come across the hospital security camera system. Because of lack of funding, no security guards had been watching the system, but it had been digitally recording ever since it was put in place when the hospital first opened. The two men review the tapes and on the night I disappear they see men dressed in North Korean uniforms enter from the north entrance of the hospital and take me away. When confronted with the video evidence, Kim Jong-il definantly states that the soldiers were really South Koreans in disguise to make North Koreans look bad. He then invites a few select diplomats to visit all of the North Koreans prisons, but I am not found in any of them. The soldiers in the video are rounded up and questioned but only one will talk after being promised asylum in South Korea. He says Kim Jong-il knew about the security camera system and had been hacking it to spy on the hospital. When he saw me sleeping in the North Korean lounge, he commanded his soldiers at the hospital to arrest me for spying. After the defection and confession of one of his soldiers, Kim Jong-il stages a coup and takes over the hospital. After evicting the patients and workers, the North Korean leader tries a take over of South Korea through the building, but the south retaliates and destroyes the hospital, sending North Korea back to their side of the border. No trace of what happened to me after I was arrested is ever found.
I had a dream last night that I was posting to my dreamjournal on Dreamviews. I was taking the time to type out several dream fragments and their details, change the colour of the fonts and stuff, but unfortunately I cannot remember the details of the the dream fragments that I was typing out now, even though I knew what they were in the dream.

The setting of this dream is medieval Europe, but many of the characters look like they are from the japanese cartoons Naruto and Bleach. There is a forest that stretches across the land from east to west, with an ocean and port town to the south and mountains (and another town) to the north. The main protagonist of this dream is a young man of the peasant class who looks like Gaara from Naruto, but besides appaerence, has no other similarities with that character. The young man had a weird name, like Spicy or something, and he lived in a run down shack, with his grandfather, in the forest. The dream starts off with the grandfather on his death bed, warning his grandson to stay away from the wealthy neighbours who lived not far away, because they were bad people and were rich and powerful only because they convened with demons. After the old man dies Spicy stays away for a while, but increasing poverty makes resisting breaking into the rich neighbour's storehouse too much of a temptation. Spicy recruits two friends (who look similar to Ichigo and Uryū from Bleach) and they raid the storehouse and make off with many valuable items, including three longswords found locked in a chest. After divying up the spoils and each taking a sword for themselves, the three young peasant boys go their seperate ways to hide their stash and agree to not use or sell their stolen items until after the robbery has been discovered and they are assured that they will get away with it. Spicy is able to hide all of his loot, except for the longsword, which he finds himself oddly attracted too. He had held a weapon before, but nothing as big or elaborate at the sword he stole. It felt warm to the touch and fit surprisingly well into his grip. That night as he try to sleep he had dreams about the sword and woke up several times believing he had heard someone with a deep, raspy voice calling his name. The next day the break-in is discovered and the wealthy and powerful neighbours have all of the peasants in the area rounded up and arrested, regardles if they have proof of their innocence or not. Spicy is able to escape from the guards and returns to his home to retrieve the stolen longsword, still obsessed with it's image in his mind and wanting to free his poor neighbours. Spicy feels strangly overconfident and combative, but lets the feelings flow through him and attacks the prisoner barracks where his friends are being held. In his mind he only wanted to disarm the guards but instead he ends up slaughtering them, to the shock of the prisioners. Logically Spicy is aware that he is now in deep shit, but emotionally he is thrilled at the bloodshed and desires more. A vague thought to be rid of the sword crosses his mind but the ever growing obsession with the blade and what it can do crushes any such thoughts quickly. Moving on to the next prison, Spicy means to only disable the guards but again ends up slaughtering them. This time his two friends show up to stop him, each carrying the swords that they stole, but when they look upon the bloody aftermath of Spicy's prisonbreak, they too are filled with a mysterious urge to fight and kill. The three truculent young men head to the last prison and kill the guards. This time though, Spicy is not satisfied and wants to fight some more, battle and bloodshed having completely taken over his mind. So strong is his desire to continue using the sword that he turns on his friends and picks a fight with them. They too are being overwhelmed with the desire to fight and soon the three peasant boys are in a forest glade having a Mexican standoff of sorts with their stolen longswords. Before they can kill each other a small army of a hundred or so guards arrives and surrounds them completely, imploring the boys to give themselves up or be killed. Spicy jumps headlong into fighting but his companions are more reluctant to face so many opponents and run away. Spicy fends off most of the guards but is injured and forced to flee after his friends. Near a lake in the mountains to the north, the three friends reunite. The obsessive need to fight has not left them and they start to fight each other again. For the first time Spicy becomes aware of a demonic presence living in his sword, urging him to slaughter his friends. Even though the awareness that he has been possessed dawns on him, Spicy continues to fight his friends, half enjoying it and half unable to stop. The friend that looks like Ichigo kills the friend who looks like Uryū - and when that boy's body falls into the lake and floats away surrounded by blood - the image is enough to startle Spicy and his friend into awareness for a moment and pause their fighting. The overwheming urge to fight and shed blood returns quickly to Spicy and he is unable to stop it, but the Ichigo looking friend is able to put down his sword and be free of the demon possessing him. He urges Spicy to do the same but is cut down by his friend for his efforts. Completely possessed and beyond all rationality, Spicy runs off into the mountains and I cannot remember any more of this dream.
One of the main characters is my dream incarnation Chun-li, who is a Chinese lady with long black hair, though in this dream her hair is done up in a bun with copsticks holding it in place. The other is a tall, muscular man with dark brown hair who sometimes appears in my dreams to help Chun-li or is her love interest. I have decided to name him Vince, though his previous names have appeared randomly as Brent, Charles or Robbie. The setting is a small town overrun with rival gang factions who own most of the local businesses and often compete for control of and support from the local population. It starts off with Vince arriving in town, looking for work. He is a biker but has left his gang for some reason and has become a mercenary of sorts, for any gang that will have him. He finds employment at a seedy bar at first, part bouncer part janitor, but meets a local and wealthy Chinese business man who is a part of the local Triad gang and who agrees to introduce Vince to the Triad boss. The Triad boss is an old Chinese man in a dark grey business suit and he hires Vince to work at a resturant, but doing the same jobs at the bar, namely clean up crew and security during the night. The resturant has a huge dining hall and during many of the nights lower status Triads members have parties and then leave a huge mess for Vince to clean up before the morning comes. Despite the lack of respect Vince is treated with he keeps his mouth shut and does his work. One night after a party the Triad boss suddenly shows up and discovers the dining hall in disarray and questions Vince about it. Vince is relunctant to rat out the bosses own gang members but eventually explains what has been happening. Instead of getting angry the Triad boss decides he needs Vince's skills elsewhere and reassigns him to work at a hotel across town. It is at this hotel that Vince meets Chun-li, who workis park time as a barista in the hotel's lounge and part time as a dentist in an office next door to the hotel. Vince's jobs again include janitorial and security work, but also as a body guard for several of the people working at the hotel, including Chun-li who often infiltrates rival gang's business as a double agent. One night members of the gang try to infiltrate a record and clothing store owned by a rival biker gang that is located on the other side of the dental office. While they manage to get inside, they cannot access the backroom because the door has been locked shut and painted over to hide it. After unsealing the paint around the door's edges, Chun-li asks for three sewing needles with which she can force the lock open. She and two Triad members wait in the store while Vince and the others head back to the hotel to look for some needles. Just then the owner of the store arrives unexpectedly. Chun-li and the other two hide in a storage closet behind the cash register when they notice his presence. The store owner discovers the break-in and alerts the leader of the biker gang, who shows up not long after. Vince and the other Triads come out of the hotel and see that there are two bikers outside of the store and stand back at first to watch what will happen next, trying not to let on that they where part of the initial break in. When the two bikers pull out handguns and start to make their way into the store, Vince tries to distract them by pretending to be a concerned citizen passing by. When he is threatened by the bikers, Vince greets the two men with his old biker gang's greeting and the bikers then think that he is a fellow biker let their guard down. While this is happening, Chun-li and the Triad members to escape out the back door. When the store is secured the bikers try to recruit Vince as a member of their gang but he only pretends to, confesses that he works as a security guard at the nearby hotel and convinces the bikers that he will be a double agent for them. This satisfies the bikers and they leave. Vince returns to the hotel and calls up the Triad boss and details everything that just happened, including the fake promise to be a double agent for the bikers. The Triad boss is pleased with this, is impressed with he way Vince has handled the situation and frees Vince from janitorial duties at the hotel so he can concentrate working as a double agent with Chun-li. The next day the biker gang leader comes to Chun-li's dentristy office, needing some work done on his molars. He doesn't recognize Chun-li but suspects she is a Triad because she is Chinese and working next to a hotel known to be run by the Triads. The biker gang leader changes his mind about needing work done on his teeth and leaves suddenly, bumping into Vince who was on his way to check up on Chun-li. The biker leader thinks that Vince is going to get some dental work done and warns him that the office is propably owned by the Triads and that they should not patronize it. Vince makes up a convincing lie about having a terrible tooth ache and not being able to make any sooner appointments with other dental offices across town. The biker leader makes a plan to rob the dental office that night, after Vince has his work done, but Vince warns Chun-li about the biker gang leader's plan and she shuts closes the office after the biker leader leaves and has anything of value removed and hidden at the hotel next door. Some time passes and Chunli and Vince are relaxing in the hotel's lounge. Someone brings out some paints and some reference material and start painting. Chun-li wants to paint too but doesn't know how and Vince says that he will show her. They are playing with the paints and creating psychedelic abstracts when the dream suddenly ends. The dream never really explains why Vince stays loyal to the Triads even though he initially comes from a biker gang.

The dream begins in outer space, some time in the future, where two opposing factions are vying for control of an area of space somewhere in a remote galaxy. The beginning character of this dream is a "bad" guy renegade of the enemy group. He appears as my dream character Walter and he is a tall man with firery red hair and goatee. His ship is attempting a covert mission to penetrate a line of defence set up by the "good" guys. The mission fails and Walter and his small crew of renegades are captured. Imprisioned aboard the "good" guys ship and because they are renegades and not officially listed as members of a military, Walter and his crew are subjected to experiemental science testing to achieve alternative physical forms during combat. The experiments require chocolate bars to activate and at first there are only personality changes in the renegades, but after months of experimentation, physical slave labor (to build up muscle), and mind altering drugs and reprocessing (brainwashing) Walter beings randomly transforming into a white tiger in his prisoner cell at night. Soon his right hand man begins transforming into a grey wolf and other members of Walter's crew assume other animal forms. The leader of the "good" guys has been following orders this whole time though he has secretly morally opposed the way he has been ordered to treat his prisoners (I think his name was Greg or something). When Walter and his crew begin transforming into animals, Greg is ordered to lead use the experimental prisoners to a nearby abandoned planet to decontaminate it of harmful chemicals and remove pockets of pirates and smugglers who inhabit some of the abandoned cities. After the planet has been liberated and cleansed, Greg is ordered by his military leaders to capture more enemies and subject them to the experiemental transformation process as well. Greg protests and refuses and as punishment for defying orders Greg and his crew are subjected to the same experiments that Walter's crew endured. When the process is complete Greg begins transforming into an African lion and some of his crew also assume the forms of other sahara creatures. With their new transforming abilities, superiour strength and skills, Greg defects to Walter's side and the two commanders then lead their crews to rebel against the oppressive military factions vying for control of this area of space. I cannot remember the end of this dream.

I am young than I look now and wearing a grey and red poncho. I am in some sort of museum or cultural center focusing on North American Aborigonal Societies. I am there to participate in a vision quest and arrive late in the afternoon to recieve instruction on what to do. I am told by some Elders that this vision quest is more like a savenger hunt because I have to obtain seven various items from safes that are hidden around the facility. The safes are locked with complex systems that require finding the right item to open them, and not all of the items are plain keys, which are also hidden from plain view. I see that there are several other young people in the meeting room, some I know in real life and some I know in the dream. They have already completed their vision quests and are just visiting the facility. One of the coditions of the vision quest is that I must find and do everything alone and cannot ask for help from anyone. I go over and say hello to some of the people I know but many of them outright ignore me or are reluctant to talk to me. Evening comes and many people leave but I want to stay as late as I can and get as much of my vision quest done as I can. I walk through the facility and looks along all the walls and corners for hidden safes. I find one but it is locked and I do not yet have the key to open it. At first I am closely observed by some Elders who follow me around and take notes on my progress and discuss it amoungst themselves, but I lose track of them at some point and left to explore on my own. I find by self on the second floor of the building and come to an area that is open to the floors below and is crisscrossed with wooded suspention bridges. The only way to the other side is across the bridges and as I start to cross I notice two Tolkien inspired elves standing in the middle of one, observing my movements and loudly discussing me. One elf looks like Peter Jackson's version of Elrond and the other is a dark haired elf with a stern look on his face. I cross the bridge and explore some of the rooms that have many indegenous artifacts on display and see two of my friends who are First Nations peoples. One of them I know completed their vision quest years before and the other says that he is just starting his, which confuses me because I thought I was the only one. It dawn on me that this is now a race because if he obstains the items before I do than I will obviously be unable to collect those items. I do not tell him that I am also on my vision quest. They move on and I continue searching the display cases until I find a gold token, which I hope can be used to open a safe. Finding nothing more of unterest in the remaining rooms of that area I head back towards the wooden suspension bridges where the two elves are there and still watching me. They are having an argument about something and as I cross the bridge and walk past them, the Elrond looking elf grabs my arm, leans in and tells me tells me where to find the next safe and how to open it. I pull away, plug my ears and run because I am not supposed to recieve help from others and I don't want to get in trouble. Back on the ground floor though I go straight to the safe he told me about but it will not open. Nearby in a potted plant I find another gold token. I wander around some more and find an arts and crafts room that has a safe sitting on a table. Down the hall from this room is a women's bathroom and another safe. The safe on the table contains a coin operated locking system but which I put my two gold coins in, they are immediately spit out. Ayoung boy working on a craft in the room tells me that I need three tokens to open that safe and the the item and key inside will open the safe down the hall. Just then my friend who is also doing his vision quest walks in the room and inserts his three gold tokens into the safe which pops open and reveals a green jadestone medallion and another key. He then uses that key to open the safe down the hall and loudly declares that he has completed his vision quest. Several Elders and other people enter the room and congradulate him and they all walk out to celebrate somewhere. Just then the public announcment system plays a message that the facility is closing. I watch everyone in the building leave via the main exit, but I am crushed by my failure of the vision quest and I hide in a women's washroom that contains a lounge and cry. I suddenly have a backpack with me and I open it and find several key chains with lots of keys on it, some stones and shells, a picture of my first cat and various other random crap that seems pointless and meaningless to me because they would not have helped me on my quest anyway. Many hours pass and a cleaning man discovers me sleeping in the bathroom and alerts security. A friendly brown haired security man wakes me up and offers to drive me home. We hop into is light blue 1956 Ford pickup and drive through the country. I don't talk to him because I am very despondant and depressed. We approach some train tracks and despite the warning lights that a train is coming the security man just keeps on driving. I fear that we will be hit by the train but cross just before it does and it misses the truck by just a few feet.
