My Dumb-ass Brother Being a Dumbass I was with my dumb-ass brother, and my dream-sign, which did not kick me lucid, my father. My brother had pissed me off. My father told me that if there was any hitting or striking, that person would be out. I pointed at my brother, and eventually poked him in the face with my finger, pushing him. I pushed him in the chest with my finger. I was so pissed, because he is such a prick. My brother stood there so calmly and said, "You see what's happening?" or something like that, to my dad. I explained to my dad by drawing a circle on the bed, "These are the THINGS that he does to piss me of..." I made a dot on the bed with my finger "...and this is my anger at those THINGS--but that's not even what I'm mad about. I'm mad about his attitude about me being mad!" I haven't spoken to my brother in a year. Every time I am with him he pisses me off, and a year after not speaking to him, he pisses me off in my dreams. What a prick Luckily, during the day I don't give him a seconds thought. What is interesting is that I just now realized that last night, I slept in a shirt his wife gave me. I think I'll burn the shirt. It was only given to me because my shirt had gotten wet one day.
I've forgotten to write this couple past days, as I'm going to sleep a bit sporadically. I have barely mantained my recall streak, which now streches to 17 days. I have one long dream from the past picked to write here next, but as I am tired and want to get to bed asap, I'm going to share the short dream I had last night. Toilet Paper Date: January 17th, 2012 Lucid: No I was hanging out with one of my former buddies. He isn't my buddy any more, in fact I hate him these days, but for some reason I was following him around as we walked all over the place. He had a bicycle and I walked along. We came to the center of my home village (it's a really small place, just a church, shop, bank and the post office). One of my former classmates from high school (which ended for me back in 2007) was walking away from the bus stop, as if he had been to school and just got back with the bus. There have been tons of dreams I've had where I've been back in high school despite it ending nearly five years ago. Again this made me think whether I missed the school. Then I remember thinking that it was supposed to be some holiday, but apparently it wasn't. Anyway I walked past my classmate and kind of felt badass for skipping school. My ex-buddy continued downhill away from the center of the village and I was following him despite not knowing where the hell we were going. He had said to me something before we continued, but I don't remember what it was. All the sudden some guy with a powerful motorcycle sped past me, just avoiding hitting me. Then he leaned as close to the ground as possible and sliced the bicycle from beneath my ex-buddy. I just watched how the bicycle got smashed and wasn't worried about my ex-buddy - it was a very clean hit, and as it turned out, the guy did it on purpose. Such stunts wouldn't be possible in real life, obviously. I didn't know the guy with the motorcycle. After making my ex-buddy fall off his bicycle he stopped and came to talk to us. I asked why he did that. Apparently my asshole ex-buddy had taken some of his money or something. Then I had the urge to compliment him for the nice skills he had with the motorcycle, but for some reason I didn't say anything. I guess I was a bit intimidated of him. He seemed a cool, if a bit simple guy. All the sudden he had some toilet paper rolls in his hands. He throw three of them for me and seemed to gesture like they were the reward. For what? I hadn't done anything. Besides, some reward. Then again, you always need toilet paper. Meanwhile some people had gathered all over the place. Everybody was looking at me with my hands full of toilet paper. I asked if I should juggle with them jokingly, but nobody got the joke, instead I got a serious answer "no." I accidentally dropped one of the rolls. I tried to look for it in the ground, but I guess the dream was a bit unclear as I didn't find it. I also felt silly for looking for some toilet paper, so I just let go. Some time passed and something happened. People started moving on. I noticed my muscles being stiff and all and said that "all this standing made me stiff". I soon added "I guess it still beats just sitting down all day". There was some girls in the background. For some reason I seemed to care about what they thought about what I said and wondered about it. That's about it. That's nothing special really, but just nice to have something more recent here once in a while.
So, I just became interested in Lucid dreaming and the possibilities it can bring, although I heard about it several months ago. I've read all of the tutorials and guides on this site on tips for Lucid dreaming, dream recall, etc. I've been pretty busy of late, but when I think of it I've been trying to do reality checks, write down/recall dreams, and other things. I haven't had any success with a Lucid dream as of yet (That I know of, anyway) but I don't want to give up. I think I just have to try a bit harder and focus more intently on my goals here. So, I've been writing down dreams I remember lately, but have been procrastinating when it comes to writing them on this site, which is supposed to be a good habit. So here it goes: I'll put all the ones I've had lately on this one post. ______________________________________________ A few weeks Ago - The dream started, from what I can remember, at my childhood house in Colchester, VT. My stepdad was telling my little brother that our land was a secret for some reason. The neighbors' houses were identical to the ones in Vermont, although the house there was actually the last house my parents bought in South Carolina. In the dream, however, the neighbors were actually the people that live adjacent to us here in SC. Now, in RL these people are quite the assholes, and this carried over into my dream as well, haha. The fence between our properties was broken and my little sister was walking over on to the neighbor's side( by the way, we'll call the neighbors the Assholes). The Asshole father yelled at my little sister for stepping on his lawn, while he himself stepped on to our side to do so. So, I yelled at him for yelling at my little sister for doing exactly what he was doing. He got back on his side and we started putting the fence together, while still arguing. The fence happened to just stick back together like puzzle pieces (It was a brown picket fence, btw). I finally talked him down and got him to understand why I was angry at his hypocrisy. He left the scene and I walked back towards my house, where I found a football, which I somehow concluded was the reason he stepped over on to my side of the lawn ( although it was really to yell at my little sis). I then told the situation to one of my current coworkers who was at my house in VT for some reason. After this, the setting was the same, but it was some kind of apocalypse (I want to say something like zombies took over, or an atom bomb struck. Either way, the majority of the world was dead/gone) My friend Min was at my house and told me he was leaving ( I guess to escape the end of the world??). He offered me a ride with him, but I declined and said I would meet him at a church in town later. Min was replaced by a coworker from my current job ( different one than before ) to whom I showed how to siphon gas because gas stations were no longer running and we had to steal from other cars. Next dream (Same night) - Another DIFFERENT coworker of mine was telling me how addicting World of Warcraft is. I began playing a game ( which was apparently WoW ) resembling one of those old arcade games like Space Invaders. I was a 2D ship shooting shooting colorful, wiggly lines. The next level was like the old Sega game Toejam and Earl. There was a giant blob monster that was moving from island to island, and I had to shoot it ( I was back in the 2D ship at this point). That concludes that night's set of dreams
