I started watching it but never finished, it seems like a cool concept though. I always appreciate Miyazaki's nature artwork and sober environmentalist view. I might watch it today if I ever get done studying

I just watched Cyrus. I thought it was pretty good.

It was apparently kind of marketed as a comedy (feat. Jonah Hill), but it's not...

So what I actually did find funny about it were the tons of people, writing imdb reviews and forum posts expecting slapstick and being so utterly disappointed and confused that they had to give 1-star reviews saying things like "that wasn't funny at all!! I feel cheated" and "i'm usually pretty easily amused (wink, wink), but this didn't make me laugh" and "I just joined, only to write a 3-word review, saying that this is not funny". The place is full of confused superbad fans, declaring this the worst movier ever. EVER!!

      Fight Club.
Next week is two years from the first time I watched it... Yeah, I was journaling one day and wrote down what movies I watched, I'd never have remembered that otherwise!

Last I saw was Never Let Me Go. It may be one of my favorite movies. It had me sobbing like a girl.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

Hangover 2: Pretty much just like the original, but not in a way that you'll be like, "Meh they already did this." However funny you found the original, you will probably find this one exactly that funny.

I Love You Man: Very funny. Both these guys have been in funnier movies, but I have no complaints.

Priest: Gawd. It's kind of worth it just for the visuals and the world-building, but the dialogue is sooo awful, and every second of the plot is telegraphed way ahead of time, and then when the obvious happens it's just not pulled off that well. Why dump so much money into the looks of a movie and not find someone with at least an eighth-grade literacy level to write it?

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

Water for Elephants. I just watched it for Christoph Waltz... and he did not disappoint one bit. He is so good at conveying RAGE. Fantastic actor. The movie itself was decent, just a classic love story. Even though I was preparing to be completely blown away...Eh, I guess I'm just not one for romance films no matter how much I try. But still it was good.

Also when Waltz breaks out the Polish I just burst into laughter. They had a lot of Inglourious Basterds homages in this one, which just strikes me as hilarious since the movies are so different.

X-Men: First Class. I thoroughly enjoyed it; there was lots of humor, action, and the acting was overall pretty good. Also really liked the cameo... n_n

      Just finished Hanna.

I didn't really catch the why in the film, and I was disturbed allot throughout the movie by other people wanting attention, but I really liked it.
Had me "Don't do that"- and "Don't go there" 's a few times.

      X-Men: First Class.

      Wow.

      ....WOOOOOOOOOOW.

May very well be my new favorite superhero movie. It's definitely up there among them.

(And yes, the cameo was "fuck"in amazing.)

I've heard a lot of praise about that movie. What's so good about it (not an insult, just a question)?

It's just so well executed. The characters are great, the effects are great, there is a ton of subtle humour all the way through. It starts off kind of slow with no real direction, but then it turns very VERY weird (in a good way). Can't really compare it to anything, see it to believe it.

Cool. In that case, I'll pick it up sometime over the next few weeks!

+1 on Pilgrim. I'd read the comics beforehand, and was still totally satisfied with what they did, which is rare with movies based on a book I like. You also absolutely have to watch this movie with surround-sound for the AMAZING sound engineering that went into it.

I saw The Adjustment Bureau last night--the basic premises should have been schlocky and unoriginal, but the world-building was handled well enough and the cast chemistry was sufficient to pull it off. It was also unintentionally entertaining in light of recent events, given that Matt Damon's character was "the bad-boy congressman from NYC"

      The losers.

In it's very limited genre of action comedy, I'll give it a 4 out of 5. Camera work was great, the one liners were great, the plot was even put together pretty good. My only complaint was some of the editing. The opening fire fight had too much of that "twitchy super fast" where you couldn't really keep up with the kills. I hope they made enough money to make a sequel.

Silent Movie, directed by (and starring) Mel Brooks.

It's really kind of a dumb film, and a lot of the sight gags drag for far too long. However, some of them are quite funny, and the use of music is a treat to anyone who's watched a lot of classic movies. Worth seeing if you're a Mel Brooks fan, but you're better off with Spaceballs for a party film.

The Roomate. I'm starting my first year of college this fall but will be rooming with one of my friends, so this movie didn't scare me that much. It was... okay for a scary movie. Not the best. The ending doesn't make sense when you find out what the crazy girl was diagnosed with. It doesn't have anything to do with why she is so possessive over her roomate. Overall, I could go with or without seeing it, but I would recommend it to anyone who will be getting a new college roomate soon
I dream a lot, need not be asleep.

I loved all of the video game references in Scott Pilgrim.

Last movie I saw was Super 8. It was okay, but definitely cliched. Some of the lines were pretty funny. The ending was extremely lame, though. I won't go into detail incase anyone else sees it
