dream fragment

I'm captaining a starship, and recieve 10 warnings from what I assume to be my future self. We avert the crisis, then I realize it was not my future self that sent those warnings, but a PARALLEL self! I don't trust this parallel self has the same ideals and self interests, to I take measures to insulate myself from such interference.

-I'm at my parent's house, and my mother asks me if I've seen the things floating above our house. I go out back, and the sky is filled with very dark clouds. The kind of darkness of a dream which isn't yet fully formed. I can't see shit. I look for a few minutes, then go back in. My mother mentions it again, and this time I look out the side windows, still seeing nothing. Then my brother shows up, and she mentions it to him. My brother and I go out into the front yard, and I still see nothing but dark clouds. I lay down on my back in the grass, determined to stare up for awhile, but the darkness increases and I can see even less.

-At home, and I'm worried about a small motorbike I apparently own. My car either folds up into this tiny bike, or it drives out of the car, I can't really remember. I look out back in all the snow, worried it's small enough for someone to pick up and steal.

-In a room with my mother and uncle mike, who begins asking about old computers he can have. My mother points him to a closet, and he starts loading things into a laundry basket. He puts in what looks like the old tape drive from a Vic20 computer, but when I look closer, it's a small cassette player which is badly broken.

I'm in some fields near my hometown, when I notice something in the sky. An airplane going by, but there's a strange craft following it. The front of the ship has what looks like the front of a steam roller, only made of glowing blue electricity. I watch as the ship maneuvers oddly.

I see a lot of weird ships in that area, in my dreams at least.

-I'm at Alvin's with family, when I see the drop off some baby elephants in a gated off enclosure. My mother can barely contain herself, and runs over to play with them. I go over too, but before I can get to the elephants, I'm surrounded by puppies!. Is I pet and play with them, I notice there is animal shit all over the ground, and carefully step around it on my way to the elephants.

-I go in a portable shower that looks like an outhouse to get changed in order to look good for some girl. The water from the shower is running, and as I worry about getting my clothes wet, my clothes get wet. My jeans in particular are soaked.

-Walking through the field behind my house, looking at some notes I'd written on paper. I ball up the redundant notes and throw them into the tall grass, which almost looks like corn. As I walk I run into several school kids dressed in costumes. Then I noticed they have a big circle cleared in the grass with a central totem or statue. Obviously performing something, so I ask the kids if they're doing it now. They tell me no, this is just practice, but they'll be performing there most of next week. They ask if I'm going to watch, but I say I'll come back later in the week, since I live so close.

After binge watching 4 seasons of Teen Wolf last week, my dreams have been fucking awesome! So awesome, I'm going to have to start keeping a dream journal again.


Fragment: I'm running across a vacant school yard or something, when I hear a helicopter. I'm really surprised, because I didn't think there was anyone left in the world, much less anyone that could fly a helicopter. I'm unsure if they're good or bad, so I run for cover, but don't quite make it before it's over me. Then about two dozen smaller drones follow in a swarm

I'm standing with Scott and another werewolf (from the Teen Wolf TV show). They are talking about how tough they are, saying the could take on anything. THat's when a third guy says "Even an Alpha?", then looks surprised as he sees something. Derek shows up from behind, with glowing red Alpha eyes,, and whoops the two blue eyed Betas easily. He picks up Scott, jumps like 15 feet in the air, and just smashes him into the ground.

Having proven his point, Derek walks calmly down the sidewalk, then looks up. I follow his eyes and see a picture of some guy across the sky. This picture kept showing up earlier in the dream as well. There is a sparkle on the corner of it's left cheek, and when I look closer, I can see the full moon showing behind it.

I'm in class all bummed out. I call Steele up up and tell him to bring some girls over. We hand out in my house, and they all start to leave. I offer one a ride home, but one girls is still there. She isn't leaving. I ask if she'll be there when I get back, and she says yes. I'm happy she wants to hang with just me

Fragment: Master Splinter and the Lantern Corps
I'm in a bar, when I see they have Master Splinter prisoner. A little floppy fist sized ninja turtle falls to the ground, and when I look down, I see a green lantern ring. A crab walks up to it, puts it on his claw and begins to grow large, then fight the bad guys.

Fragment: Police Archery Division
Running from the police, but the police trap us in a very high tree house. The cops bombard us with arrows, which cut the rope we need to get down, and pierce the walls and roof and come down around us like rain. People are getting hit and trying to escape.

One guy goes down a rope with a sand bag at the other end. I grab the sand bag and the other side of the rope, and slide down real fast. I find it off that the rope doesn't burn my hands. At the bottom I try to run, but the police catch me and I give up. It's no big deal, we hadn't done much wrong, even though they were trying to kill us with arrows.

I haven't bothered taking notes of my dreams when I wake, relying instead on memory. I recall my dreams until I fall back asleep. Unfortunately, that causes me to have the same dream over, only with knowledge of the first time around at my disposal. Then when I wake up for good, having two versions of the same dream makes it very difficult to properly recall either of them. But they were all pretty dull anyways.

The only dream of note I can recall was a fragment from 3 days ago.


Fragment: Chuck Norris Cult
A guy walks up to me and asks in a tone of voice that implies a joke "What does it take to join the Chuck Norris cult?"

"I don't know, what?" I reply, waiting for the punch line.

"If you knew, you'd already be a member." he tells me.

This somehow seems profound and makes an odd kind of sense. "Well them maybe I'm already a member", I say to him.

Somehow it seemed funnier in the dream than it did upon waking.

Fragment: Ruler of Poland
There are elections, and anyone from Canada or Portugal can apply to run for President of Poland. I apply for a laugh, but actually get a lot of votes.

The people of Poland need to be evacuated, and I send them to an old radioactive bomb site. One of my advisers warns me about the radiation, but the bomb there went off so long ago most of the radiation is gone. Plus there really isn't anywhere else to put them.

There's been some sort of nuclear catastrophe, and there are hard times ahead. Being the keen survivalist I am, I determine we're going to need supplies to make it through this disaster. There is a Bi-Way down the street, and when I look out the window, there are already people breaking into it.

I lead my small group inside the store, and instruct them to grab non perishable foods and supplies. I tell them to think long term and to stock up on everything we need now, since other people are going to raid this store. We fill several shopping carts and go back to our house.

I go to bed and wake up in my underwear. I need clothes! I ask if the men's clothing store is still there, but end up back at the Bi-Way for some reason. Other people are catching on and raiding the place en masse. Still in my underwear, I pull some blankets around me and crawl through the smashed glass door, stepping on broken glass in the process.

Once inside, I see employees restocking the shelves and cleaning up. They all stop to give me a dirty look and I run out. Seems like things are getting back to normal, and the power is back on.
