    1. Jet-Ski Snomobile

by , 07-19-2015 at 04:34 PM (Lucid Time!)
I was with S. We were at a ski resort. (Being at weird ski resorts used to be a dream sign of mine. He was driving this weird vehicle that was sort of like a snowmobile, but it could also cross water like a Jet Ski (as the title implies.)

I remember we were doing some kind of filming thing for our youtube channel, that in the dream, we had started, but we had to go to one of the other resort lodges to do so. We were with someone else as well, I think S's friend who we can call L. He started taking us out over the water when he unzipped a large duffel bag. In it was mostly clothes and towels, but he also had his laptop computer in there.

I remember he took it out, and dipped it in the water partway. He told me he wanted to wipe all the software while keeping the computers' essential functions working, and that what he was doing was not going to permanently kill his computer. I was a skeptic but it worked.

We got off of the lake and started going downhill along one of the ski runs. I remember that almost nobody was on the hill. There might have been one or two skiers, but it was basically deserted, despite being perfect weather for the sport.

We stayed on the move for several minutes, mostly moving downhill through a maze of runs and chairlifts.
I became semi-lucid at one point and was wondering why the dream was deserted. I was also wondering why my dad wasn't present in the dream, he's always present in these ski dreams, and usually they are one of the few times he isn't an annoying DC.

I then remember S took us through this half-pipe. I remember complimenting him that he was really good at driving this thing. After we came out of the half pipe we arrived at another ski lodge building. This one much smaller than the other. We got off the snowmobile and went to the front door to meet with our film crew, but we were locked out. S admitted that he was actually completely lost.

L and I decided to just enjoy the view. The view was that of some huge swiss-alps type mountains. We couldn't see very far because it was cloudy. S got out a map and started trying find our way back.
    2. Steamboat Sinks

by , 02-16-2015 at 01:43 PM (Lucid Time!)
My recall is back and running. Thank goodness.

I entered the dream already fully lucid. Manei said she was going to help me to align my chackras. There was another dream character present as well, but I didn't take a good look at them. I remember visuals of some white/light colors. She put her hand in the middle of my back.

I had two autosuggestion notebooks, a red one and the black one I have IWL. I was trying to figure out which one had my list of dream goals. (Good, my autosuggestion notebooks are being recognized by my subc as important.)

I had been hired to work for LEGO. They wanted me to make a bunch of themed sets called Alpha Centuari that were supposed to center around realistic/scientifically plausible means of traveling into outer space and other stars in the future.

I designed a bunch of sets such as a toroidal space station, spaceplane, and SETI telescope. All of the people at LEGO really liked them and they looked really cool, but when we released them into toy stores they were a flop.

I was on a small yellow inflatable boat in the middle of a lake. It was somewhat foggy. Off in the distance, at about my 5'oclock was a large river steamboat. The structure of it looked very modern though, like a cruise ship, but it had a large paddle wheel on the back.

I wasn't quite sure what I was doing away from the boat, but I knew that my family along with S were onboard.

I remember hearing the captain of the ship say that they were going to hit a wave and that people on the lower deck might get splashed. A nice sized wave (about 10 feet) hit the boat and thoroughly drenched everyone on the lower deck.

I somehow knew the captain, or remembered his face. He was a nice man of about 30 with a long, pointed face, greenish eyes and short ginger-brown hair.

The yellow boat handled the wave just fine.

The captain said that there would be another wave, this one could rock the ship pretty bad. It hit, and it was a pretty large wave, about 30 feet this time and thoroughly drenched all but the uppermost deck. If I remember correctly, the boat was actually a floating hotel, and every deck above the bottom and the roof were hotel rooms. I remember thinking about how the water was probably leaking through the glass and getting everything wet in all of the rooms.

The captain said that there would be yet another wave, and that everybody should brace, because this one will be really bad. I looked out in front of me and the boat and nearly wet the bed. There was a huge wall of water heading for us. (For those of you who have seen the movie 'Interstellar'... yeah, that's a good idea of what the wave looked like.)

The yellow inflatable boat handled the wave fine, it just floated up to the top, but I saw that the wave was starting to crest and came crashing down ontop of the steamboat, and it sunk it pretty much instantly. I saw a few (10ish people) come to the surface.

The fog lifted and I saw that we were in fact on a medium sized lake. My dingy drifted into the shore on some smaller waves. I managed to hop up onto a dock and then ran a safe distance away from the water. While I waited for other people I looked at the lake we had been on. It was no more than a mile or two across, and there were mountains on the other side. I asked how a lake so small could produce big waves, even if it was windy.

The other people came to shore. One of them was the captain. I asked if we should mount a rescue and see if there are more people. The captain said that would be suicide for us because another giant wave could spawn at any time and the water was really cold and we could get hypothermia and the boat was already hundreds of feet down. He told me that the upper levels of the boat were actually watertight and that anyone in them was probably fine, we just had to send a proper dive team to lift them out before the oxygen ran out.

Somebody got a cell phone and called a proper dive team. They showed up almost instantly and started bringing up survivors from the air pocket that the boat had created.

My aunt appeared and asked me to find my cousins. Everyone from the boat was taking refuge in side of this museum/hall area. There seemed to be a lot more survivors than there were people on the boat. Most of the people there were actually worried families of the people from the wreck.

I can't really recall what happened after this. I think I went into the museum/hall where the rescued people were drying off and warming up. I chased a kid wearing a cloak who I thought was my cousin, but turned out not to be my cousin. When I exposed his identity he bit me. I slapped him and he started crying. He told me that it was his secret identity and nobody should know it. I tried to explain to him that this was a rescue situation and that this was no time for being a brat. Then my real cousins showed up and asked me what was going on. I explained and they started yelling at the kid as well.

He kept crying louder and louder about his secret identity, saying that I was the worst person ever for chasing him and trying to remove his cloak. Eventually he aged in reverse and became a small pink baby about the size of my hand. I set him in the windowsill.

His mom showed up and yelled at him for biting me and then for using his special power to age in reverse. Apparently now his mom had to go through all the work of raising him from the beginning now.

I asked my cousins if they knew where everyone else had gone. The said that they didn't know and didn't care. They both pulled out laptops and started playing DOTA 2.

I started to get absorbed into the game. It was this tundra map that I had never seen before (For the record, I haven't even played DOTA 2, I've only watched my cousin play.) And this character who could rapid fire multiple streams of arrows. The character seemed really overpowered and was killing everyone else.

There was a long and particularly drab space travel dream. I was landed on the moon with two other astronauts. One of them was dumping liquid fuel onto the surface of the moon so that our capsule would be lightweight enough to fly home.

When I got on the capsule (That was huge on the inside despite being tiny on the inside.) my parents were there, along with many a familiar member of my family. They told me 'Happy 19th birthday' (IWL that isn't for another couple weeks. And they gave me this weird cake. It was like a small loaf of bread and filled with this thick buttery like cream. I didn't really like it and told them when my real party came, I wanted a chocolate cake.

I got distracted from the birthday party scene because I had to dock the caupsle with a space station. I got the strangest sense of Deja-vu, as though I had done this in a previous dream or a long time ago.
Why does docking with the space station feel farmiliar...?

I was watching the superbowl, live from the stadium. The game had just started and the football froze in midair. All of the players started dog-piling and jumping to get at it.

"Uh-Oh, looks like that's an illegal anti-gravity ball. Minus 20 points! And *some player* to the time-out square for you!"

I realized how absurd this was. (Now IWL, I don't watch sports, and TBH I don't even know the rules of football all that well.) But this was just so strange that I had to be dreaming.

I woke up though. I took a leak and then it was WBTB time.

I found myself on my bed. (False awakening.) Though my bed was replaced with this odd powder, like finely-ground flour. I realized right away that I was not fully awake. I began to mess with it. I thought that the reason I was in my bed was because I was still partially awake and I shouldn't move too much because I might start to move my waking life body and wake up.

At one point, I decided to smell it. It did have a smell, though faint it did smell a bit chalky, sort of like baking soda or flour. I can't say so exactly, but yay for finally smelling something in a dream.

      ...

I was by a lake. My friend pointed out that there were squidfish in the water. I asked him what a squidfish was and he showed me. They were these fish, perhaps a foot long with all of these tentacles on the front of their face. They were carnivorous and ate other smaller fish whole.

I then noticed that there were large fat fish swimming around in the air, a few feet above me.
I became lucid, but the dream promptly faded.

      ...

There was one other lucid fragment from this morning, but I can't recall what it was, just that there were three frags involving lucidity after my WBTB. I had the number on my mind all morning.

These late-night skype calls have to stop.

There was some long dream about there being a hotel near my house with a beach and a lighthouse on a lake. There were for some reason a bunch of really tall, skinny, pagoda like houses across. I couldn't help but think that they looked familiar, like I had seen them in another dream somewhere.

I dropped my computer in the hotel pool. Somehow it still worked when I got it out.

I was driving during an intense rainstorm. I can recall swerving to avoid an I-beam that was being washed across the road.
    5. Shark Slaying

by , 09-14-2014 at 01:46 PM (Lucid Time!)
I can't recall exactly the setup or motivations of the characters, but this is some kind of training or test to become an action hero. Today's lesson: blowing up a shark. Yes. A live one.
The setting is this lake. But there are these modular plastic platforms placed out on it that make a swimming pool like area. There is another smaller pool with a huge shark in it. The instructor, a middle aged man who's black hair I recall vividly for some reason, tells me to get in. He then gives me what I need for the mission. One Katana and one block of C4.
Then he releases the shark into the main pool and tells me to go. I take a deep breath and dive underwater. The shark has been starved so it swims straight toward me. I remember my training and that I am actually supposed to swim toward the shark and time it so that I go in without getting injured by the teeth.
I swim forward, very quickly and manage to shoot right into the shark's open mouth. The jaws close behind me and I am sucked down into the stomach. The stomach is a weird place. It's hot and there is actually an air pocket, but it doesn't seem like I can breathe the air. I still have the block of C4 in one hand. I feel for the button to arm it (it was dark in there. The only light was from an LED on the side of the explosive.) When I press the button I see 15 seconds come up on the screen.
Now for the hard part. I have to cut out of the shark. I remember in training when you do this, Ideally you want to do it from the side. I try to figure out based on how I am oriented what the side of the shark is. I cut through and see water starts coming in. Good, that means my blade went all the way to the outside. I make a wide cut, about 3 feet and then abandon the sword and squeeze through. This was by far the hardest part to do. But eventually I managed to push through back into the water.
There is a big cloud of blood in the water. But how often is it the shark's blood that makes the big cloud? When I think about it, the shark already looked dead at this point. I swim up to the surface gasping for breath.
After one deep breath- Ker-Blam goes the shark. A big plume of water shoots up behind me. I take a couple more breaths and the instructor says that I get a passing grade on this test. I ask the instructor about killing sharks. He tells me that the sharks are grown from clones and are mindless and cannot feel pain. This doesn't make me feel much better about it though.

I am now swimming in the lake outside of the pool area with a couple friends. The instructor is there too. He tells me about this skinny blonde kid who was his last student and actually died doing the shark test. Apparently he forgot the part about swimming toward the shark and getting past its teeth.
    6. LD#99: Riding through the woods.

by , 07-14-2014 at 02:34 PM (Lucid Time!)
The dream starts off non-lucid, and it is just a projection. We watch as a group composed of all child laborers are working to build a log dam in a mountainous area. They are actually led by a child and they are attempting to dam. None of the children seem to be complaining about the difficulty of the labor, even though some of them are as young as maybe six.
When they were finally finished they did just that. The child who was leading them shouted into the air and everyone ran and dove into the lake. There were hundreds of children in the lake, all different ages and nationalities. It was also nighttime while this was happening, but a beautiful full moon illuminated the scene.

      -Dream Skips-
Manei (Gonna take getting used to on that name, already shortened it.) and I are riding in the back of my grandfather's car. We are still in the mountainous are where the kids built their lake. It feels like a national park or something. Lucidity hits me like a sack of bricks. I look at her and for some reason think to ask her about her nationality. Ever since she began appearing in my dreams she's always had tan skin and dark hair.
She replies saying that for all practical intents and purposes, she is just native american. She then goes on to talk to me about how she is working on an ongoing project to perfect her physical form in my dreams.
I then ask her why sometimes she appears like she did last time, an old woman, or a man or anything else.
She replies that sometimes she just feels like slacking off.
Then, we both just burst out laughing. (It's funny because I slack of a lot too.)

I lose some lucidity. My grandfather stops the car and we get out and begin walking through the woods. Manei begins talking about how the chase scene from a movie was filmed on the trail that we are walking. In the chase, the hero gets chased by a huge mountain lion that continually rams into trees. Eventually the lion is so confused and disoriented from hitting its head so many times that it gives up on the chase.
      I wake up.

    7. Dream incubation attempt 1# -Almost

by , 10-02-2012 at 01:53 AM (Lucid Time!)
I've started working on Sageous's WILD classes, and read a great wiki about dream incubation, and how it can be used with MILD or WILD to incubate a lucid dream. I'm now using that in conjunction with a mantra and RCs.

I had to chose a location that was specific to my lucid dreams. I decided to use a beach, with palm trees. Because many of my first lucid dreams involved being on a beach, and it was where I first met my dream guide. I also thought that it offered many possibilities for a lucid dream.

My actual dream from last night consisted of me and my friends swimming at some lake. It was not really a tropical or beach setting, but for my first night of attempting dream incubation, it was close enough.
A bunch of friends from my school were there, and we were just sort of hanging around and playing in the water and stuff. It was not particularly interesting, but tonight I have the opportunity to go to bed much earlier.

    8. Suicide Mystery

by , 04-12-2012 at 11:44 AM (Lucid Time!)
I was out on the lake in a small motorboat. There was also a large party boat with roughly ten people on it. Everyone was dancing and talking.
The guy driving the party boat decided to do this maneuver that was like a skid where he was going really fast and he turned the boat sideways. He started to do that, when without warning, we heard a gunshot, and a girl fell of the boat.
I went over and saw that she was floating in a pool of blood. Everyone on the party boat stopped partying and could only stare at the corpse floating in the water.
"She shot herself in the head" One of the people on the boat said.

I was in the office of some investigator, and they were trying to figure out why the girl had committed suicide. The investigator showed me an "expert diagram"
It was a cartoony drawing of a woman holding a shot glass and waving around a gun. I tried to explain to the investigator, It was quite obvious; the girl was flat out drunk and waving a gun around as a joke. When the man driving the boat tried a difficult maneuver, her finger slipped and she shot herself.
