    1. Lucid dreams #67, 68

by , 12-31-2013 at 03:24 PM (Lucid Time!)
      Fragment

Something to do with superman fighting a number of Tanks in a downtown/city area.

      Lucid Dreams

I count these as two lucid dreams since in some respects they were separate dreams and I actually got lucid, lost it, then got lucid again.

I was at some apartment with S. Supposedly this was in the near future where we had graduated high school and started living on our own. (I'm graduating this spring.)
I can remember getting lucid through the old nose pinch reality check, stabilizing the dream a little, telling S that he was a dream character.
It was at that point that I picked up a ball that was lying around the room. I began to use dream control to do this trick where I would change the color of the ball by closing it in my hands, looking away, then opening my hands and the ball would be a different color.
The other dream characters didn't really seem to care, and for some reason I wanted to entertain them. I thought about a daydream that I'd had yesterday where I picked up a handful of dirt and closed my hand, when I opened it a bunch of butterflies flew out.
I wanted to try the same trick with this ball, it was the perfect sort of thing to try in a lucid dream. I closed my hands around the ball and thought about what would happen when I opened them. I thought I felt something crawling on my hand. It was ready I opened it.
No fantastic butterflies. All I managed to do was change the ball from plastic into putty. I wasn't disappointed however and began experimenting with the putty; how it felt and looked in the dream world. I could tell I was losing the dream and going to wake up
      .
False awakening, I'm in my own basement. It looks really realistic, but I decide to do a reality check because this looks like a false awakening.
I do the nose pinch again, but for some reason I did it for a really long time, like 10 or 15 seconds.
Okay, I'm still dreaming. I decide I want to go outside and practice some more advanced dream control. (I don't get why I didn't just teleport by dream spinning, I seem to forget that I can do that...)
That said I begin making my way upstairs and paying attention to the fact that this dream, unlike the apartment dream beforehand seemed to be much more vivid. I was excited by how I could make out the patterns on the wood paneling we have in our basement.
I get upstairs, and decide to summon some dream characters, or maybe my dream guide for help. I think that the best way to summon someone would be to call them on the phone. I look at the phone list on the refrigerator and all of my waking life friends are there. I can't seem to find any unusual numbers that I would want to call, so I decide to go outside.
S is back and he has pulled up in his car. I decide to get in with him and a bunch of random DCs. We all pile into the back of his car and drive off. After a minute I realize that this was a stupid idea and now I'm stuck in this car, and can't really move, and I'm going to lose the dream. I wake up.

    2. Another Alien Invasion Dream, LD #66 (sort of)

by , 12-29-2013 at 04:01 PM (Lucid Time!)
      Alien invasion dream (in fragments)

I looked outside and noticed dozens of aircraft moving around in seemingly random directions in the sky. A few moments later they all stopped and had arranged themselves in a perfect grid. I thought to go get my camera, but realized that if I did, they would vanish. I decided rather to just watch and see what happened next.

C was in my garage, working. She told me that she had sensed that this was happening and had prepared. She had started building some weapon that would be the only thing that was effective against the aliens. She told me that she needed me to run to the hardware store before the aliens landed and get her a metal pipe: any size, any length.

I was looking online at the pictures and news coverage of the aliens. One of them showed the aliens in a grid like I had seen earlier. The other one showed a picture of the alien ships. They looked something like this. [/COLOR]

      do blind men have lucids?-alien-ship.jpg

Badly drawn alien ship. The brown/tan parts were not wood, but rather metal painted in that color.

      Fragment: Lucid Driving

My dad had just crashed his car into the road. I told him it was OK because I was actually just lucid dreaming. I immediately woke up.

      Fragment: False Awakening

I false awoke into my room, got up, and logged onto this website in order to begin my DJing.

    3. Lucid dream #65: The "nightmare" I couldn't stop

by , 12-22-2013 at 02:25 PM (Lucid Time!)
I can't recall the entire dream, but the dream entailed me going to progressively higher cliffs around the world and jumping off of them, because I had some insane power to fall from any height and survive. But I began to get the acing feeling that cliffs were a dream sign... so I must be dreaming right?
When I thought of that, I was at the last cliff. This cliff was made of a tan-colored rock and overlooked a tropical rainforest, with a handful of winding rivers going though it. I jumped off the cliff and started falling. But it was a really floaty sort of falling, I was probably only falling about 20 miles an hour.
      I actually became
lucid while when I was about 2/3 of the way down the cliff. When I became lucid, Some form of dream control became activated, with or without my consent, converting the rainforest into this park area. All of the trees in that area went away, and a grid of concrete pathways spread out in all directions. They left cells, about a hundred feet on edge filled in with grass.
I was able to make trees grow in the cells with dream control. I thought It would be cool to fill the cells with palm trees, but when I tried to do so, trees of every variety, including palm trees filled the cells.
I couldn't really care that my control over trees was as accurate as I wanted. I finally hit the ground and walked along some of the paths. Eventually, I got to the edge of the pathways where they met with what remained of the rainforest.
I noticed there were a couple of houses, one of them I recognized as S's house. His mom and dad came outside.
(If I wasn't already lucid, this would have been a dead giveaway that I was dreaming, because S's parents are divorced.)
And for whatever reason, I told them I wanted to play hide and seek with them. I told them that I would hide and they would try to find me. They covered their eyes and started counting.
I ran around to the back of their house where I planned to either fly up high somewhere they could never look or turn invisible. I realized I have no idea how to turn myself invisible. So I used my focus flying technique to fly up onto the roof of their garage, where a large tree that isn't there in RL had grown branches over the roof, and this gave me enough cover to hide from them.
I just hovered there for a minute between the roof of the garage and the tree, as the dream characters tried to find me. They walked around the house at-least twice. Eventually I flew down and revealed to them that this was in fact my dream, and that I had used my flying powers to hide from them.
(I'm not entirely sure why I wanted to play hide and seek with dream characters at the time, but looking back, it was pretty funny.)
S's "mom" was very impressed and excited to be a part of this dream, but S's "dad" was very angry that I had "cheated" by being lucid. (Ugg crap here we go again!)
His face and body began to distort in a freakish way. His head grew huge and his body became very small and fat. His skin was as red as a cherry and he was yelling obscenities at me. Let me just say that seeing something like that "realistically" is actually quite scary.
"Stop!" I yelled. "This is my dream, and I am in full control!"
But it didn't work and I woke up.

    4. EDITED:Fragmented Lucid: Confusing Reality (LD# 63) At my service (LD#64), probable TOTM

by , 12-20-2013 at 08:56 AM (Lucid Time!)
I rewrote large parts of this Dream Journal Entry, because the original one seemed a bit flakey. (Most likely because I wrote the original Now, I'm able to properly explain what happened.

      Where things get Weird

I was in my front yard, and lucid when two dream characters show up. (They show up in this really cool black car nonetheless) I recognize them as Marcus and this other character that I recently identified and named Jack.
It was at this point that for some reason, I thought of the basic TOTM for this month. To ask a dream character for a present and see what you get. I never said anything out-loud about the TOTM, but I thought about it.
I think Jack is the one who gets out of the car and offers me a small grey gun that he says Marcus invented. (And this is where I think I may have just completed the TOTM.) He gives a short speech about how this is the "next step in personal defense" and asks me to try the weapon out. The weapon looks and feels like the sticky detonator from Halo 4. It has a smooth look to it.
I fire it at a tree, and a large cylindrical grenade sticks to the side of the tree. I pull a trigger, and a number of small fan shaped grenades release from the large one and stick all over the place. Okay, that's a cool feature, but I can't figure out how to make the grenades detonate. Don't know if this is my own lack of knowledge or a malfunction with the weapon.

I false awaken in my own house to find that I have woken up very late on a Saturday morning. Makes sense why I would lucid, so I go downstairs, and go on this site and begin writing a DJ entry for this dream. I then, in my false awakening, go back upstairs and "WILD" back into a non-lucid dream.

I go back into a dream where my lucidity seems very unstable, an anxiety dream about school where I'm stranded there and I need to ride home. Jack shows up again. And let the real weirdness begin.
Jack attempts to convince me that I'm not dreaming. He tells me that my "Guides" (Meaning that he is a guide too now I guess.) are here to help me in waking life. He says I won't be going home for awhile. Telling me that this is waking life, given my groggy lucidity left me confused.
We are walking out of the school. I was at a point where I thought this was RL, and I told him I needed to go get my backpack. He then proceeded to tell me that he was carrying my backpack over his own, took it off and gave it to me. He told me that was in fact a basic test to make sure I wouldn't lose it because of that. So I guess I passed.
We get to the street out front of the school, and we try to get into this other vehicle that's like this very strange tractor type thing. Another detail that I couldn't help but notice, but there was a street named after Jonathan, my dream "Nemesis".
All my regular dream characters, save for the evil one. (Manei, Marcus, and David) started to surround the tractor and get out. There were two more, a younger version of Lia who looked to be about 10, and a younger boy who was probably 6. We get out and we all start to get into this really nice black sport's car. (Is that like my dream character's only way to get around.) I'll really have to draw these cars that I keep seeing. But we have seven people trying to get into this car. I have to sit in the middle of the back. And I don't know where we intend to go.
I'm getting into the back of the car with all these dream characters, and I woke up into my bed.

      At my Service

I cannot believe I forgot about this dream.

I was in my school's gymnasium. There were a bunch of people running around and playing with the various gym equipment like dodge-balls and badminton rackets.
Manei approaches me and tells me that I am dreaming.
      "Oh... of course I am..."
I do a nose pinch reality check just to be sure. I realize that I am dreaming, but I just felt really lucid. I probably got more lucid in this dream than I did in any lucid dream I've had in a long time. I could really feel the dream world around me. I even thought to myself that my real body is back in bed and this is all a dream, so this was a solid layer 3 dream. (For those of you who are farmiliar with receejones87's layers of LDing)
      "Thanks for telling me."
      She bows
      "I am at your service."
I think to myself for a second. Manei... my dream guide, at my service. Will she carry out any command I give her?
      "Jump up and down."
She jumps up and down. Given my dreams take place at about 0.5G's, she is able to jump about her own body height.
      "Stop."
      She stops.
      "What's 7 times 4?"
      "28."
Now time to really see how this works. I pick out one of the dream characters playing in the gym. Knowing he is just an aspect of me, I issue this command.
      "Go beat that kid up."
She calmly walks over to the dream character, and stops in front of him. She then jumps into the air and spins around kicking the dude in the face. He falls over either dead or unconscious and is bleeding from his nose.

    5. Fake shared dreaming (LD #62)

by , 12-13-2013 at 12:29 PM (Lucid Time!)
Fragments (Don't really care for 'em)

I was climbing a water-slide made out of sand. I don't know how that works either. The water-slide was in the woods behind my neighborhood.

My subdivision had been replaced with some sort of beach area. There was a river running where the road used to be. The beach had a lot of broken glass on it, but all of it had been eroded by the waves and made into round stones. (Y'know beach glass.)
Different areas had different colors of beach grass. A dream character was explaining to me that the different colors can symbolize different things.

I was in the hunger games universe. (Agian?! I don't even like the hunger games.) And there was this tradition that if you light a lot of candles the night before the tributes are picked, you won't get picked for your district. We had this big chandelier thing covered in lit candles so that I wouldn't be picked as tribute tomorrow.

I can't remember how I got lucid, but I was in the baseball diamond at the front of my neighborhood. I think the house that was closest to it was a little odd. The other thing that I recall was that there were dark storm clouds overhead.
S was there. He told me this was a shared dream. We decided we wanted to have a flying competition.
I did my old method of flying that worked surprisingly. (Not focus flying.) I held out both of my hands and jets of fire formed in my hands. (Though it was a red fire, not a blue one.)
S mimicked me. He held out his hands and started flying too. I was ascending slowly, but he was going even slower. Once he realized I was winning, he somehow changed the flames in his hand to a green color and started going about three times as fast, he passed me in altitude.
I turned my flames green. I started moving up faster than him again, and started catching up.
He started changing his flames slowly from green to blue to purple, and continued accelerating. I changed mine to purple and caught up with him. We were in the grey storm clouds now, but we still had a general idea of where the ground was.
He was getting frustrated, and turned himself into a ball of purple fire. He began to loop around and head back toward the ground. I too turned myself into a ball of purple fire and looped toward the ground.
We dived twoard the ground, and we both pulled up before hitting it, only to see that there were a pair of large trees blocking each of our paths. S hit his first, landing with his stomach and he slid down it sort of like when a cartoon character hits a glass wall.
I was somehow able to phase through the tree I was about to hit.

I had an FA from the shared dream. S was asleep in a sleeping bag on my bedroom floor. I was in my bed.
I went to wake him up and ask him if he had the shared ream with me. He held out his phone and started snapping pictures of me. I tried to stop him, but he still took quite a few photos.
He then actually got out of the sleeping bag, and was really angry. He was taking the photos because he had some app on his phone that would take famous scenes from movies and replace the faces of the characters with the faces of whoever you took pictures of. And all of mine looked really bad because I flinched away from the camera. The movie theme was star wars.
I asked him about the shared dream and he said that he had experienced everything the same as me. He told me I won the flying completion because he didn't know how to phase through the tree.

That day I asked S if he had recalled the other end of the dream. He said no.

    6. Frags and Lucid Nightmare (LD 61)

by , 12-11-2013 at 03:46 AM (Lucid Time!)
      Fragment: Football.

I am playing football. (Strange b/c I don't even know the rules of football in RL.) We are about to score a touchdown when the other team starts cheating. I don't see how they are cheating at first, but then realize that some of the players on the other team are "football robots".

      Fragment: Random

I am feeding ducks cheese bugles. (SERIOUSLY, BRAIN, WHAT THE HECK!?!?!!?) One of the ducks tries to fly away, but I think gets shot by a hunter. The other one starts barfing the cheese bugles back up next to me. They are much bigger and covered in ... duck spit? I don't want to eat them, even though the duck seems to be offering them to me.

Lucid Nightmare: Dentist in math class

I am in my math class. At least two other kids are talking about an assignment, and the teacher is pestering me about something. Eventually she stops and I get ready to sit down, but a dentist comes in and tells me I must have a dental operation.
A large dentist chair complete with instruments appears at the front of the class. The dentist sort of forces me to lay down and leather restraints go onto my arms. The dentist explains that I must have my braces augmented then he will use a laser to kill germs on my teeth.
We cut straight to the laser part. The laser comes down from the ceiling on this robotic arm. The projector is a chrome cone like device. (Another cool sci-fi design) The laser beam itself was actually a purple color. I get to somehow watch as the dentist uses the laser to clean cavities on the inside of my own mouth. But he seems to be making mistakes and having the laser hit my gums. This hurts. A lot.
Eventually, he gets done with the laser. He says he is going to start pulling bad teeth out. He gets a rather intimidating set of pliers and pulls out one or two teeth. This hurts. Even more. He keeps pulling teeth out, and I can feel the inside of my mouth. I'm trying to figure out what teeth he's pulling.

Okay, this has gone far enough. Somehow one of my hands gets free of the restraints and i do a nose plug RC.
I'm lucid, but the dream is really unstable. Heck, I can feel my arm in two places at once, pinching my nose, and sitting by the side of my body under a blanket.
Nevertheless, this dentist doesn't seem to like the fact I've become lucid. He begins to wake me up by casting a magical spell from his hand. I want him to stop (for obvious reasons), I feel for the tray by the side of my chair and grab a handful of dental tools. I'm ready to stab him when I wake up completely.

    7. "Focus Flying" (LDs #59,60)

by , 12-08-2013 at 03:03 PM (Lucid Time!)
I was acting out a sequel to the movie "Battleship" (enh not a great movie, but the effects and action were pretty cool.) and I was commanding a ship to stop the aliens from bombing a coastal city. We only had four minutes to do it. We pulled into position and saw the alien ship. (Our ship was sailing parallel to the shore of a tropical-looking island. When I saw the alien ship, I recognized it as the last alien ship from the movie. (The one that projects the giant sheild.) I couldn't help but remark that the ship wasn't projecting a shield like in the movie, even though it had the shield projector panels out.
We were still out of range, and one of my officers came up with an idea. She started launching small mines into the water. She told me to detonate them when they were directly behind the ship and they would thrust us forward.
I had to get a handle on how long it took for the mines to be launched then drift to the back of our ship. I eventually found that launching them, counting to four, then detonating them was enough to thrust us forward.
I lost my handle on the dream for a bit, and now we were in the town the aliens were about to bomb, trying to warn the citizens.
I had become mildly lucid, clearly not enough to hunt down my guide or alter the plot of the dream, but the plot of the dream was pretty cool anyway.
I can't even remember how I figured out the flying technique, but it was weird. I would have to hold my left hand out in front of me with my index and middle fingers raised. The idea was this was called focus flying, and it was one of the millions of ways lucid dreamers learn to fly. (Someone standing behind me told me that.)
I lifted into the air, and quickly learned how to control myself. I continued with the dream plot by flying through the streets of the city, warning people to get inside because aliens were preparing to land we were going to fight them. I also remember a couple of my lieutenants (I was a ship commander) were there and they seemed both impressed and confused by the fact that I could fly.
I eventually went inside the largest building in the town. (The town was mostly one and two story buildings built up by the beach. This was a large hotel, maybe 8 stories tall.) I flew inside, and found the building went pretty far underground. I was still focus flying, and I continued by warning people about the oncoming aliens. I told them to go to the lowest floor of this hotel.
Oh yeah, all the dream characters were really confused as to how I was flying around with two fingers raised.
I got outside and flew back to a group of my naval officers who were still standing in the middle of the street. They said that it was "too late" and we had failed, and used up our four minutes. The aliens had won they told me. I woke up.

I was watching a 3d animated movie. It was one of those really cliche stories about the boy who sticks out like a sore thumb at school and always gets bulled and what not. The first scene I recall seeing was the group of bullies get onto the school bus at their stop. One of the bullies said "This is where we get on on, and this is where you get off!" And threw the main character kid off the bus.
The bus drove off, and he ran after it. Somebody remarked that there was no way he was getting to school on time.
Until now, I had been spectating. Now, the movie explained that the next character had to be an older kid who used to be bullied alot, but now had made the best of it and was doing better. I would have to help/guide this kid. So I was given a body.
Then I realized I was in the same situation as the boy, late to his school and forced to run after him.
      ...this can't be right!

I realized I needed to reality check. But for some reason, I couldn't think of an actual reality check, so I had to come up with one on the fly. I decided to punch something really hard, because if I'm dreaming, I'm actually just laying in bed, and there's no way I can feel pain from hitting the structure.
I punch the side of a brick building, and it doesn't hurt. I just feel a little shock go up my arm, to let me know that the surface is solid. This also stabilized the dream some. The main character kid was still running to school, and I was quite a ways behind him.
I held up my left hand again, with two fingers raised. I started running after him, and jumped. I landed with a hard impact on the ground. I jumped again. I sailed through the air for about 20 feet. I was catching up to him. I jumped onto a bench, ran across the seat, and jumped off the other end. I landed on the concrete, bent down, and focused my energy (as best I could) onto my fingers.
Kaboom, I'm off and flying. Now the thing about focus flying, in both these dreams, Is you don't go much faster than 20 miles per hour. It seemed to be a very slow, controllable method of flying. But when I took off, the first thing I had to do was steer to avoid a rather large tree growing out of town square.
I flew over the main character boy. His face looked like this.
I saw the school coming in the distance. It looked like the school from my comic strip, in that it was tan colored and had broad windows. The group of bullies were in the school yard, and they also had that face when they saw me fly overhead and land inside a second story window. The director explained that it was OK that I hadn't helped the boy, because he wanted to establish that we were friends before he started having me help him.
When I got inside, I the inside looked exactly like my high school. I decided to show off to my friends the flying technique. But first I had to use my reality check again, so I punched a cinder block wall inside the school and again, just a mild shock sensation to indicate that the wall was solid.
I came over to the staircase. (At my HS, the cafeteria is sort of sunk into the floor.) and decided to use that as my launching pad. But the focus flying failed.
Because I had such bad lucidity, I figured the reason my flying was failing was I wasn't dreaming anymore.
This meant OH MY GOD! I'M AT SCHOOL CLASS STARTS IN FIVE MINUTES AND I DON'T HAVE MY BACKPACK!
I decided to text my mom and ask her to bring my backpack to school. I recalled leaving it by the door. But I wanted to word my text in a funny way. So I turned on my phone and started texting her, but I couldn't think of a funny way to word my text. My phone was really low on battery and died. I woke up.

    8. The Floating Electrical Baby head (LD#58)

by , 12-04-2013 at 11:05 AM (Lucid Time!)
I knew titling this DJ entry as such would get a few people reading.

I was walking down the street in an unidentified subdivision. It wasn't like my subdivision in the fact that the houses were only one story, instead of two-story. Also, the trees were very large and very old, unlike in my subdivision where the trees are still rather small/young.
"Bohemian Raphsody" was playing in the background for some reason. But it wasn't for long when it got to the second line: "Is this just fantasy?"
I became lucid. (Second in one night tonight.) Also, I've gotten lucid in some really weird ways in the three years I've been lucid dreaming, but this one takes the cake.
I immediately felt a rush of power, an urge to control the dream. I looked to the sky and used... something similar to air bending to whip the clouds into a vortex. I then transported myself about a block away, outside of this beautiful Victorian styled brick mansion.
I looked at the mansion, and I was still on my rush of power, I gestured up, and lifted the whole mansion causing one new floor to be added to the bottom. I thought I could do better. I gestured up again, and the framework for a large clock tower assembled on top of the mansion.
I gestured up again. I lifted the mansion up another story or two, as well as completing the clock tower.
      I can do better.
I Gestured up one final time, and the mansion transformed and then lifted and became an absolutely huge brick skyscraper, probably forty stories tall. I flew up into the air for a second to get a good view of my creation. I took note that there was a small, modern glass box, like a penthouse on top of the brick skyscraper.
I gestured down and lowered the entire skyscraper into an empty lot, leaving only the glass penthouse. I then gestured up just at that and made it a really tall glass skyscraper. I then lowered that all the way down to nothing, then gestured up and created what looked like the dubai tower.
I was going to do something with the new tower, but it was twisting and distorting in a strange way. I used a voice command to "lock" it, but when I did, I locked it twisted up. I used another command to unlock it. I then commanded that it return to its original shape. Then I used the "lock" command again.
I was finally back in my own body. (I had been flying around outside my body.) I realized that the skyscraper I had created was actually only about ten stories tall. Also, it fell on its side, with the pointy end nearly hitting me, so yeah.
I recalled some of my other dreams, where I used a computer hologram for some of more complex dream control. I commanded that one come up. It works, a large holographic OS comes up on my right hand. I'm able to scroll through it with my left.
I decide to forget about manipulating buildings, and focus on things that are actually important. I asked myself out loud if there was an option in the holographic menu to summon my dream guide.
      "It's under the contacts tab!"
Now the moment you've all been waiting for. The floating electrical baby head was above me. It didn't have eyes, and the head seemed to be hollow. The neck was cut off abruptly. It didn't frighten me because it didn't look like an actual baby head, but rather just a 3D computer graphic of one. And it had an orb inside of itself that caused electricity to arc out and hit the ground.
I got some back-story into this dream character almost immediately. He was part of a collective group of dream aspects that work together to... play poker! I got to see images of him and several other very weird dream characters sitting around a bar and doing just that. ._.
When the back story ended, it was nighttime, and we seemed to be in the same location. The FEBH it seems had made a fire. We were on a concrete terrace surrounded by railing. The terrace had a stairwell that led down into a rock garden area with a large dead tree.
I wasn't by the fire at first, and I was still scrolling though the holographic menu. I was in the "contacts" list and I came across someone named "Bonya" I clicked on the menu, and up came some girl with braided hair and four eyes.
      Me:"Who's this?"
FEBH:"Bonya, and dark projection of Lia. Manei" You know, my dream guide.
      Me:"So she's evil?"
FEBH:"Whatta you think?! Of course she's evil!"
Me:"Are you Glitch? Because if you are, I'd prefer you appear as a split ring design and not... this."
(To explain that question, I wrote a lucid dream based story about myself, where I had an AI helping me that I called Glitch. His icon was a ring split in four places.)
      FEBH:"No."
I walked down the stairwell and into the rock garden area. I thought I saw Lia Manei down there for a second, but when I got closer it turned out to just be a shadow on the rocks. I went back up to the FEBH, and sat by the fire he made. I started roasting a marshmallow.
      Me:"So who are you?"
FEBH:"My name is ****" (I can't remember it. It might have been something comically normal like "phil")
      Me"Tell me about yourself."
FEBH:"I don't know [Looks longingly into the fire and makes a sighing sound.] Poker is my life. Just little pink squares that... ace of spades; seven of hearts!"
I looked at the marshmallow I was roasting and recalled that I don't like marshmallows in RL, and couldn't think what to do with it. I woke up.

CBut I only remember one part of this dream, the last portion. I don't know how I got lucid exactly, I think I was told by some dream character. I was riding in the passenger seat of some type of car. But whatever it was it felt like it was very clean and very powerful.
Manei was in the drivers seat, but didn't seem to be driving. Marcus was in the back center. We arrived and parked at the top of a good sized hill. I got out and began to walk in circles around the car.
The area we were in was totally alien. I got a feel that we were above an ocean, and that there were some pretty high mountains all around us. Lia introduced the location as some place important, as a sort of dream-scape for me. I can also remember the sky being orange with purple and black clouds.
I began to ask her why lucid dreaming has gotten so difficult for me, or something along those lines. She told me to focus in on a water bottle that was in a cup holder in the car we were driving. I used the bottle to anchor myself to the dream some.

(I wonder if the dream is actually saying drinking water before bed helps me lucid dream. Your guess is as good as mine.)
I was about to ask more questions when she told me that our time in the dream was ending and I had to wake myself up right now. She sounded strangely urgent, but at the same time, she said it like she would be back soon, really soon. (Hopefully, I go back to sleep and pick up LDing; I'm writing this at 2:30am)
I obeyed her and woke myself up,but
I ended up having a false awakening into the same dream location. Save for my mother was there. I began to tell her about the dream, and recalled more of it than I did now. I became lucid again, and realized this was an FA. I woke myself up for real, but had forgotten most of my lucid.

    10. Snake attack II, I found both armbands. (LD #56)

by , 11-27-2013 at 03:30 AM (Lucid Time!)
      Fragment

A few weeks ago (in RL) I found a sweatband in my room, and started to wear it around my wrist constantly. My hope was to use it as a "totem" like in inception. Am I wearing a sweatband? Nope. Must be dreaming.
Anyways, I could never find the other one, no mater how hard I searched. I know there were two, because the sweatbands were a Christmas present, as a pair. But... In this dream, I had both.

      Snakebite

I was in some suburban backyard type setting. There was a large forest to one side, and a row of houses to the other. Between them were backyards, probably 50-70 feet from the woods to the houses. The sky was a dark blue, and there was a light snowfall, with several inches already fallen on the ground.
The first thing I recall was encountering a snake. It became aggressive and started chasing after me. I wasn't able to run very far until I tripped. I was able to grab its head before it could bite me, but the snake was "lagging" (Fantastic, video game lag in my dreams). But really, in my hand, it was behaving like that.
My mother was there, and I told her to quickly kill the snake. She grabbed its top and bottom jaw, each with one thumb, and killed it by pulling the jaw open 180. But because of the "lag" the snake registered as alive and was able to bite me before dying permanently.
I looked at my leg, and there were four holes where the snake's teeth had gone in. It hurt, but in a strange way that it felt like I could control the pain. I commanded the pain to go away, and it did.
My mother, who was still present, directed me to go to the doctors office.
Now remember how I described the dream scene as taking place in an "alley" between a row of houses and a dense forest. But there was a small two story house built in this alley. It even had a large neon sign on it saying "doctor".
But the house was quite a ways away. I began walking, but it was painfully slow and I seemed to be staggering in the snow. When I was about 1/4 of the way there, I looked again at the snakebite on my leg. I noticed that the skin on my leg was starting to turn a dull red around the snakebite. "Must be the venom!" I thought to myself.
I continued walking, with a somewhat faster pace until I was there. I was standing outside and looked at my leg again. Most of my leg was a dull red now. I knocked on the door, and you'll never believe who was there.
Marcus! "The Glasses Guy" that I kept seeing. I was thinking thinking he's another recurring dream character, and I was right. He turned out to be the "doctor" I was looking for. He took out some high tech injector device with a glowing blue vial in it and injected it into the bite. My leg returned to normal color. Awesome.

I can't remember what happened next or how I got here, but I ended up going inside one of the houses, and the inside ended up looking like the basement of my own house. (We have a walk out basement.)
The strange part was, I was trying to stabilize the dream by touching the walls, so I must have been
lucid. But I don't remember ever actually attaining lucidity before I started to stabilize. I woke up after that.

    11. The LongLong Lucid: LD #55

by , 11-22-2013 at 12:46 PM (Lucid Time!)
I can't really remember the first portion of the dream where I actually attained lucidity, but it was outside of my own home. My recall of what happened improves as I went on. The neighborhood looked dark, nighttime-ish where the sun was just starting to come up.
The first thing I can recall was running into another male dream character who wanted to do something called "dream phasing." He looked to be about my age, but was taller than me with curly hair. I had some idea of what that meant, it meant he wanted to change layers in a dream somehow. (Layers in a dream being like in inception where you are asleep and dreaming within a dream.) I was going to journey to the soccer field outside my old middle school to try and build my dream base. I don't know why I'm still fixated on this project.
It was also at this time that I thought about "dream time" and how long a second is in the real world compared to a second of dream time. I thought about doing an experiment where I would breathe out heavily twice, one second apart. But then I remembered that nobody was watching me in bed. I was telling the other dream character all of this. He didn't seem very bright.
He followed me for some time, and we talked. I can't remember about what, after the whole dream sharing thing. I told him that when we got to the soccer field I would help him dream phase (whatever that really meant, he never did really tell me.) before I started work on my base.
He followed me until we got to the intersection between my street and another in the neighborhood. We stopped walking under the lamppost. He started arguing with me that the correct direction to go for dream phasing was left. I was still going to the school that was to the right. He split up with me.
After another minute of walking, I arrived at the school. Because it was nighttime, the dream was very dark. Dark=Not vivid. I wanted it to be more vivid, so I used a voice command. "Sundial" I think it was. From there, I was able to grab hold of the sun with my outstretched arm and move it to a different position higher in the sky using a sort of telekinesis thing. I can remember there being several moons or other planets in the sky nearby the sun. I looked at them and noticed that the lighting looked wrong on them, the wrong sides of the planets/moons were illuminated. I wanted to fix it, but I decided to focus on the task at hand. I may have also done some other stabilization type things.
The area around my middle school was noticeably different than it was in RL. There was a picnic table and a small playground set up on the eastern side, with a fence preventing me going any further than the westernmost wall of the building. There were about 8 or 10 dream characters in the scene, most of them were adults. I didn't want to tell them that I knew I was dreaming, for that may provoke hostility. (Have you read LD#30?)
One more thing that was different about the school, there was this mcdonalds sort of drive-through built into the eastern side.

Now I must have lost lucidity for part of the dream, because for some reason, I recall these portions of the dream being nonlucid. There was a small swimming pool in the area that I was in, (From what I recall, the swimming pool wasn't there for a vast majority of the dream. I think it just appeared for this scene and disappeared when it was over.) with a couple of dream characters. I think S appeared around this time, but I can't remember.
In fact, there was a family here, and they had a couple of dogs. S was talking with the parents in the family about something stupid. and I don't remember what their kids were doing. But their dogs were the really clingy licking type. They had a whole bunch, three of them, and they were big.
They started licking me and jumping up on me, and caused me to fall into the swimming pool. I actually let myself fall in because I wanted to do this sort of passive-aggressive thing and teach the people that S was talking to to control their dogs.
But then, I was laying on the bottom of the pool, and I noticed that I felt my phone in my pocket.

Then there was this thing about me going to the McDonalds drive-through. Other people were going through driving cars. I just walked along the road as if I were a car. But when I came along, the workers from the (I'm assuming it WAS a McDonalds) rolled out a bunch of tall aluminum shelves with food and garbage on them. Something else happened, something pertaining to food, but I can't remember.
I do remember something to do with this eggplant-type fruit that was supposed to be some strange breed of apple. A worker was saying this was the last one that wasn't either rotten or sold, and they were going to have to hope that they didn't sell any between this time and when the next shipment arrived.
I think the existence of the McDonalds had something to do with the fact that the east side of my school is the cafeteria. So the idea was that the McDonalds served the cafeteria food during the day and fast food to people who used the drive-through at any other time.

But I really start recalling things after these non-lucid fragments. S was still there, and I told him I was going to stabilize the dream. I shouted "clarity" twice and stomped my foot onto the ground. When I did, a wave of clarity shot out from around me. It was very weird the way it spread into the buildings and trees around me. When I did it, I also felt the shock of my leg hitting the ground. That helped to stabilize the dream some.
I looked at an empty patch of grass and started.
Me:"Okay, now create a concrete circle."
      Nothing happened.
      Me:"Create a concrete circle."
S:"Maybe we should try a different location."
We moved down from the grass into a sand gully type thing. (The sand gully isn't there in RL) I tried my dream control again, but nothing worked.
S:"Maybe we can try drawing your base first."
I walked down into the gully, and when I did, I noticed a marker floating about four feet in the air. It looked like a sharpee and was sort of this color. Maybe a little lighter.
We moved into the woods almost and sat at the bottom end of the sandy gully. I took the marker and started drawing an oval in the sand. The tip of the marker broke off. I woke up.

    12. Lucid Dream #54: Alone in Condo

by , 11-20-2013 at 03:23 AM (Lucid Time!)
I was having a dream about my cartoon. (Agian.) Once more I was executing non-lucid dream control to make the cartoon. I was thinking about the main villain in the comic, and his robot army. I began to come up with variations for his robot minions, such as having rocket launcher arms or jet packs. (In RL I do a cartoon, and the bad guy has an army of robot minions.)
The dream became animated in that the characters talked, had voices and moved around, but still looked like cartoons. I got to watch the heroes of the comic battle the new robot minions. The new robots posed a real challenge to the animated heroes.

I was taking a vacation with my family in Puerto Rico. (My family goes on a Holiday in Puerto Rico every year in RL) And we were checking into our favorite beach-side resort. (This resort used to be one of my dream signs because I would dream about it SO often.)
We had arrived and it was almost dusk. The dream's recreation of the resort was fairly accurate this time around. (I know the whole place like the back of my hand.) Although there were two big bamboo patches outside the lobby that I didn't remember being there.
And, because I dream about this place so often, I became vaguely lucid. But I didn't really become lucid until later. I can remember pondering my dreaming state while staring at the leaves of a palm tree.
Anyways, I walked around on the beach for a minute, and my parents called me to help move luggage into the room. I went and helped them, I think I made two trips with them until we had everything. We might have had a brief cookout fire on the beach or something similar, but I don't really remember. By this time, the sun was setting and my parents told me to go to bed. I went into our hotel room and laid down on the bed.
It was sort of like sleeping in Minecraft. When I lay down, my vision got darker and darker, and just when It went to black, I woke up with a jolt and it was immediately the next day.
When i woke up on the next day, I felt like the world was more vivid (when in reality the DREAM was more vivid.) I was getting up to walk outside when I woke up.

It was about 5:00am. Still an hour, went back to sleep.

I was at some OTHER resort with my parents as well as my cousins this time. The resort was one of those backwoods-themed places where all of the buildings are made to look like log cabins. The adults were checking in, save for my uncle who was giving me and my cousins a "tour" of the resort.
We were inside this atrium like building. The outside was made to look like a log cabin, as would be fitting for the resort, but the inside was entirely made of concrete, and had all of these platforms and walkways. We were up pretty high too, probably on the third or fourth floor.
The first thing we did was my cousin got interested by this table with a touchscreen on it. Apparently what it allowed you to do was make yourself into your own trading card. The table would take a picture of you what a built in camera. Then you could use the touchscreen to customize your card's stats and abilities. Then, for a dollar you could print it out. (I got to remember that idea, that is marketing genius!)
For some reason, I was interested by this red glowing column that ran up through all the concrete floors. Further inspection revealed that it was in fact (enter dream logic) a really tall coke machine. The money slot and dispensary were on the first floor.
My cousins and uncle made their way down a concrete spiral staircase to the coke machine. I tried to climb down through this weird lattice of concrete platforms suspended by steel cables. It turned out to be too difficult for me to do. I think one of my cousins wanted a soda. On the ground floor, there were two other coke machines that were of normal height.

      Later, same dream.

I was helping my dad do something for the resort. Apparently, he had broken some furniture in the hotel room and needed to make it up to the owners of the resort. He wanted to do it by carving a big log bench for the room out of a tree trunk and placing it in the room. (Remember the resort was log cabin/ backwoods themed)
Anyways, he was carrying the log to outside a row of condo-type buildings. They were all built in a big meadow area surrounded by forest.
The log itself I remember vividly because of its massive size. It was probably three feet thick and ten feet long. He had carved four large notches into the log that were supposed to be the seats for the bench, but he was planning on doing the remainder of his work back in our hotel room.
When we got to the room, my dad said he needed me to carry the log the last little bit because there was a step-up to get into the room. I lifted the log and barely managed to fit the entire thing into the room.
Wait a second... I can't lift a giant log by myself...
I'm dreaming! (Weird way to get lucid by the way.)
I got lucid. The door to the room closed and locked. The giant log disappeared when I wasn't looking. I stabilized the dream by saying "increase clarity" twice. I looked around the room. It had a log-cabin theme not unlike the rest of the resort. I think there were a pair of deer horns mounted on the wall.
The floor was covered in backpacks and suitcases, as well as piles of clothes, cameras and other sorts of travel gear.
I wandered around the room for a minute. I yelled "I'm dreaming" a couple times somewhere along the way to affirm to myself that I was lucid dreaming. But after a few minutes, I realized I was trapped in the room. (uh-oh)
I decided to try dream spinning. I closed my eyes and tried spinning around. I imagined the beach resort from earlier in the night. I began to see the imagery related to the resort, but I must have either lost it or given up to quickly, because when I stopped spinning I was still locked in the hotel room, and nothing in the dream scene had changed.
I recalled my dream from awhile ago, where I was firebending. Maybe I can use firebending to burn a hole in the wall and escape that way. I recalled the move I was practicing in that nonlucid dream, the spinning fire/lightning kick. I tried to do it, but no fire or lightning whipped off my foot.
I started to get very frustrated with the dream, and woke up not long after that.

I can't believe it. It feels like it's been months since I really had a full-length lucid dream. Now, true, my dream control completely and utterly failed. But, I couldn't care less. If I got lucid like this again tonight... that would be amazing.
If I can start having lucid dreams like this 2-3 times a week, I can begin to grapple with the problems of my dream control. I can revisit some of my old goals and maybe finally do the dream base.

    13. It's been awhile (agian)

by , 09-14-2013 at 03:28 PM (Lucid Time!)
I have been pretty inconsistent as of late in posting to this website. I think I went a good chunk of the summer without posting. But my dream recall has been nearly nonexistent. But I had a lucid dream last night, and it made me think about this website.

Anyways, I don't know exactly where I was, it seemed to be this plaza or balcony type place, built on the side of a mountain. All I can remember was that the entire structure was made of a white metal or ceramic, save for the floor that was made out of grey stone tiles. There were stairways and bridges leading onto different terraced platforms. It reminded me of something you might see in a video game. Also, there were dream characters scattered about in the world, exploring the platform.
Anyways, I just remember getting lucid, (I can't even remember how, I think it was a mental reality check.)
And as soon as I had a good grasp on the fact that I was dreaming, a few of the dream characters approached me, and the looked absolutely livid. On my left was a tall blonde girl, and on my right was a large man, also a blonde. Directly in front of me was a man with short brown hair and a brown vest.
I realized that I would be getting attacked once more. (As of late, I've been getting attacked by DCs when I become lucid, I don't know why.) I escaped the initial group, and began making my way across a narrow passage on the structure. The blonde man caught me and held me against the wall and started punching me. I could feel his blows, but they barely hurt.
I yelled "Time Stop!" and the man froze. I then pushed him off the edge of the structure into a deep ravine. Then I woke up.

    14. The lost lucid: Manei Disappears (LD #50)

by , 08-16-2013 at 03:16 AM (Lucid Time!)
Lucid that was mysteriously missing from my DJ

I was laying in bed with each of my parents. But the bedroom bore similarities to my grandparent's bedroom from my mother's side. The one in their old house, that they moved out of like ten years ago. Though there were some differences. For one, there was a rather large TV in their room that seemed to be playing very staticy advertisements.
I get lucid, I think it was through the old nose-pinch reality check. I get out of bed, and start hunting for Lia Manei, my dream guide. (What a twist!)
I decide to use the "behind the door" trick to summon her. I open a door, and this room of the house turns out to be like the guest bedroom from my house. (The door in that room is very weird in that it opens against a wall. I hear her voice, she tells me that she is between the door and the wall, and not to swing the door back closed, because she is changing.
So either I'm a pervert or just in a rush to get on with my dream training. I swing the door open, to find that she is there and very much clothed. She smiles at me as though disobeying her wasn't an issue. Just as I am about to speak, she begins floating towards the center of the room, and she begins to distort.
I am watching this, and the dream begins to lose stability, but I'm not paying attention to this. She continues to distort and begins to look like a mesh of female dream characters, and her body begins "glitching" and blocks and of it are becoming invisible.
She tells me that she is having difficulty anchoring herself to my dreams. That's all she "said" but the way she said it, she was going to be back. Hey, she was in lucid dream #37, so we have that.
Oh yeah, I woke up BTW.

    15. Empty Lucid (LD #49)

by , 08-10-2013 at 04:17 AM (Lucid Time!)
I lucid in a fairly accurate recreation of my house, my backyard in particular. I stabilized with a few voice commands and rubbed my hands together. I can't remember how I got lucid, I think it was with a nose pinch reality check.
Anyways, there was a really long chunk of time where I was just exploring my dream house. There were no dream characters around, also, dream control didn't seem to work. I simply wandered around the house looking for things. The house was fairly accurately recreated.
I kept the dream going long past its usefulness with perpetual stabilization. (You see, I haven't really been focused on lucid dreaming as of late, but I will get more time to focus on it soon, that's something you can be sure of.)
Anyways, I was doing something with sunglasses too. Something to do with trying to make the dream darker or brighter, or attempting a special type of stabilization by using the sunglasses as "lucidity glasses." (My recall has been bad too.)
