You are right, we wouldn't be able to see it today very easily, but I think we would be able to see the planet it's orbiting (maybe?). I think it exists to a certain degree, but we wouldn't be able to see very advanced civilization. Since it is so advanced there is probably civilization that millions of years in the past, we just wouldn't be able to see it.
