Well, the ones I personally know of as being good or bad seem to be in the right lists. Although, the big red disclaimer seems to contradict the point of the thread.

yeah, I know but I didn't want the thread to turn into a huge fight about how "my guide is totally superior to everything!"

Whoa...I stand corrected. Jeff777's SP Induction Tutorial is definitely on the wrong list. That guide is full of nonsense.

I have no problem with the making of the list. Please keep all responses/replies/additions limited to pertinent information regarding the guides and not individual users.

The more we know the better this site will work...and it's a big site with lots to keep track of so I appreciate all the extra eyes on this task.

Well, true, but he don't mentions anywhere "Don't read this unless you have ISP" or anything like that, thus confusion happens, also you can pm staff to help you with post editing.

I've induced SP and I don't have ISP? But on the topic of Jeff777's old SP induction tutorial being full of nonsense, I can attest to this. It is full of old, nonsensical beliefs such as not being able to move an inch, even to scratch yourself, swallow, or in general, get comfortable. Since you said yourself that the incorrect tutorials are not outright wrong and still have some value to them, I think it meets the criteria of the incorrect list.

Mine is outdated. I talk about sleep paralysis.

I was meaning to get it edited but just forgot about it and thought it would stay buried.

My opinion: from a quick look, yours seems to be fine but the second one mentions SP incorrectly, i think.

I'm one of the, I guess, rare people that actually uses sleep paralysis as a springboard into a WILD. The real thing, not the sensations that people often confuse it with. I'm not using the term incorrectly here, but at the time I wrote that I thought everyone that WILDs uses sleep paralysis. It was a while later that I realized it could be done without sleep paralysis and is actually much easier without.

But besides that little bit, dms' guide is magnificent and wholly unique in the way it explains the process. Which only reiterates how limited the incorrect/correct headers are in communicating worthwhile content, I guess. XP

I think I agree with most of it but I don't see how you reached some of your conclusions. For example how come the 5 phases of WILD is uncorrect yet jeffs guide is correct. I found the 5 phases of wild guide quite good on the exception of the sp part, it has a lot of useful information. It would make better sense to just add a disclaimer in the guide since I can actually see people benefiting from that one.

Is there a reason you left off DVA's WILD class? I'm not being proud or doing any shameless self-promotion here: if people are browsing this thread for the definitive guides, maybe that one should be there too.

If a FAQ is ever written regarding WILD, I don't see a better place to find questions and common reports than from the actual students, so you did well in pointing it out

So, let me state the future of this thread.

Input will be gathered.
Reports will be investigated.
The best advice will be gathered in one spot and recommended.
The still-mostly-useful advice will be gathered in another spot with an updated notice.
Anything found to be a total crock may be buried.

This thread will be removed once all actions are completed.

The help and input really is appreciated.
