Zombie Apocalypse, Superstorm, AI theft (LD #22)

I never thought my dream recall would be THIS good! I think i'm going into an improvement hump of some sort.

    Thunderstorm

I was dreaming about being at my house. I think that my cousins were there. And there was a really big storm coming. I can remember rain falling diagonally and strong winds buckling my home's foundation.
I looked out on the deck behind our house, and to the northwest there was a huge vortex. Not a tornado, but a large swirl of clouds in the sky. The clouds were so dense from the storm that it was nearly black. The sky was a dark blue-grey. Lightning strikes were so frequent it sounded like machinegun fire.
I wanted to photograph the large swirling thunderstorm. I ran to get my digital camera. By the time that I got it, my cousin told me to go outside on the front porch. The swirling storm had moved to the northeast. I tried to photograph it but I think that my camera was out of battery or something.
(Do note that It only took me about 30 seconds to get my camera ready, and the storm had moved across the sky in that time frame.)

    Zombie Apocalypse

This dream was excruciatingly long. I can only remember certain fragments of it. It is an unrealistic war scenario, I know.

I was watching a news broadcast. It was coverage of a team of united states navy seals. (The news broadcast said so.) They were on some sort of mission in this cave. The walls of the cave were a bright orange sandstone.
This woman ran out into the middle of the cavern, and got shot in the head. Somehow despite that, she ran to the other side.
When the woman reached the other side, she fell over. A medic said that they needed to get the bullet out of her brain, and had to conduct surgery during the battle. He took off her helmet, then began opening her head with a crowbar. (Ill leave you to imagine all of the gruesome details of this.) Obviously, this killed her.

My mother told me that the united states had accidentally declared war with a powerful middle-eastern country. She said that we had to run several miles through war-torn America to reach the nearest airport, where we would be flown to safety.
I looked out the window of my room and could hear and see a battle taking place in the distance.

I had been ordered to help with the evacuations. Someone wanted me to evacuate some kind of old folks home or mental institution. I can't remember what one it actually was, but it sort of had a "hospital" feel too it. It was a large, concrete building.
Despite the hospital feeling, the atmosphere in the building was very dark. Most of the lights were burned out. The walls were raw concrete and the floors were worn wood.
When I got inside, I was told that the patients were organized by floor. The patients with more severe illness were higher up, and those who were less ill were kept lower to the ground floor.
I made my way up a staircase to the upper floors. The upper floors were dark and frightening. I returned to the downstairs.

I was making my way through the city, trying to get to the airport. The city consisted of only one and two story buildings. There were silhouettes of mountains all around us. It was nighttime, but there were plenty of streetlights keeping the area bright.
The entire scene was in chaos. Rockets, gunfire, grenades, people running and screaming. Despite all of this, I was pretty calm. I can remember someone saying something about zombies.
I remember passing by a man in a military uniform. When I looked closely at his face, he had yellow eyes and white skin. He was a zombie, but was acting normal; directing people and trying to control the chaos. He told me to keep heading towards the airport.
I got impatient at this point and saw a family driving a black pickup truck though the city. I knew they wouldn't let me get in the cab, so I hopped into the back. They didn't even yell at me, and seemed to be heading towards the airport.
More people followed me, and soon we had three or four people riding in the back of the pickup.

I was almost to the airport. I saw a huge jumbo jet take off and fly right over me. I could see the landing strip in the distance. The first rays of sunshine were peeking over the mountains. I had a feeling of hope. I was going to survive the war.

    AI Theft

I always save the most interesting dreams for my last post. This dream just about had it all. Good clarity, interesting, congruent plotline, and I got lucid. Bonus!
The dream started out with me being introduced to this dream character. He was a meek, thin man. He was mostly bald with thick, square glasses, and pale skin. It would be hard to nail his age.
He told me a long story about he had invented a new type of chip that could be used in robots to make them artificially intelligent. But a large corporation stole his idea and was about to present it. He told me to run out onto the stage and grab the robot's head and return it to him.
I was on the right hand side of the stage, out of sight of everyone. The stage very shiny and made of chrome. There was a small raised platform in the center of the stage, where the robot stood.
The robot had been given the body of a woman, including what I assumed was some sort of synthetic skin that allowed it to look like a real woman. But I knew that was not important. All that I really needed was the computer brain.
There was a man on the stage. He was short, fat and well dressed. He was giving a speech about the new robot that he had "invented". I can also remember seeing some flashes from the audience, pictures being taken.
I took about the most low-tech approach to retrieving the man's robot. Went onto the stage, grabbed the robot, and dragged it off. The man giving the speech remained oblivious, as did the audience. I thought that I was in the clear. But I noticed two of these security guards approaching. They had nightsticks and riot shields. I opened the robot's head on the back, and removed the brain. The chip glowed with a harsh blue-green light. The man who had assigned the task threw down a small device that created a portal. He walked thought it. I jumped through it just before the guards could grab me.
We exited the portal in the man's house. For some reason, I had gotten the feeling that alot of time had passed since we had been on the stage. As though we had been on the run for awhile with the "stolen" chip. His home had somehow become our last stand before we were captured.
His house seemed pretty nice. He had this huge open living room with this warmly colored wooden floor area with bamboo growing and a modern water feature, essentially, a modern indoor zen garden.
He said that he wanted to hide the robot chip. I told him we should hide it upstairs, under the bed. He agreed with my idea, and put the microchip under the bed and sat on the bed.
I heard the policemen smash down the door. They came straight upstairs into the bedroom, handcuffed both of us and confiscated the microchip. As we were being walked out of the house, the chip started screaming.
    "No! NO! NOOO!"
One of the policemen was carrying a tablet, something like an Ipad. The chip shot a beam at the tablet, and the beam was surrounded with holographic letters and numbers. I saw a face appear on the screen of the tablet. The AI on the microchip had actually transferred itself into the policeman's tablet.
At this point, all of the policemen left, and they left the tablet behind for me and the bald man were left. We walked downstairs and sat down in his wonderful indoor zen-garden area. He went and got us drinks, I think he got me a 7-up or mountain dew.
A message appeared on the tablet's screen. The bald man told me that I had to bypass the tablet's internal security systems so that the AI that the man had created would be able to permanently implant itself in the computer system.
The "bypass" seemed something like a game. I can remember these red shapes, that looked like tetris pieces would form barriers and try to attack the small cyan oracle in the center of the screen. At first the "game" was easy, but eventually it got far more difficult. Although I think I won.
After that, the man thanked me for all of the help in returning his AI robot to safety. After that, we talked for several minutes. It was a very profound conversation, and we hit on alot of important topics in life. (Love, money, death) I can remember we really bonded and the man had many interesting stories to tell.

We began to touch upon the topic of lucid dreaming. I started to think about the entire situation.
"Do you ever think that you've lived your whole life in someone else's dream."
    "No!"
"You know what, I think this is a dream. Look"
I held out my hand and tried to create a flame or some kind of energy ora to convince this man. It didn't work.
The dream started to get darker. And even though I was lucid, I WANTED to wake up. The dream had dragged on for so long that I was worried that I wouldn't be able to remember the entire thing. I tried to think about myself laying in bed, knowing that that is a way to wake yourself up.
I could somehow sense that the man that I had been allied with throughout the dream was the one keeping me from waking up. It took about thirty seconds, the dream getting darker and darker until, finally I woke up.
