Im not sure what led to the series of events that had recently happened to me, but i was at work in a lucid state and found myself repeatedly waking up in a different place every time i opened my eyes... eventually the cops petitioned me into a psychiatric ward and i am now on new psych meds... ive been out of the ward for 4 days and i still feel like i am dreaming but i know i am fully awake. i guess what i am trying to relay is that this lucid state of mind, combined with psychiatric meds and cannabis use is somewhat a nightmare on repeat... yet i am at peace.
On heavy pain meds so not even a hint of any dreams at all. I don't like feeling like this. I feel foggy & fidgety & stoned in a very bad way but I can only lower the doses until I can get down the inflammation & pain to a level to switch to a different set of less fuzzy meds. But sometimes you just have to do what you have to until you get some relief when you have lifelong medical issues. I'll just keep praying.
Non-dream Dream I recalled a couple of strange fragments today. Dream 1: I am at an Indian wedding. I wake up with the thought "keep up or you will forget." Dream 2: I am walking down the middle of a vacant Westwood Blvd. I am an expert bread baker. I take some kind of strange bacteria gas as a test for something. I think it removes marijuana from your system. The chick from Total Recall (Arnold's girl) is the person administering the gas. It stings my eyes really bad because of my eye condition at first but then I get used to it. Dream 3: My cats are fighting and V turns into a ferocious bear and pounces on S with incredible force.
I've tried to lucid dream without supplements, but it just doesn't happen. I noticed that the Benzodiazepine medication I took for occasional insomnia had the interesting side effect of vivid and / or lucid dreams, but not reliably. And sometimes the dreams would occur the night after the medication. I tried Yuschak's recommendations from his book, but the galantamine is so stimulating I couldn't fall asleep again after taking it. But the following has worked several times now. This morning (1/30/2012) at 2:00 am: 500 mg Choline, 600 mg Alpha-GPC and 8 mg Galantamine. I lay in bed and meditated. The combination has the effect for me of promoting very deep states of meditative adsorption, which is interesting in itself. around 3:30 I took 1/4 mg Xanax (generic Alprazolam.) Eventually I did fall asleep and managed to stay asleep after attaining lucidity. I was active, making decisions, talking to dream characters and making requests. It was great!
