early: + I need to drive a large truck and trailer in reverse gear into a parking garage to (unload/load) some items with another vehicle on the other side of the garage. The cab is white and large and tall. I think this is a very large truck. I get up inside and begin driving, but the brakes don't seem to work [DS!!]. Next thing I know, I've backed up all the way up on to a hill outside (on a ski/snow hill?). + [vague] I was with my [deceased 1st] wife, [nothing else remembered] later: + swimming in a public pool. Walk out into the pool area, including a 90 degree turn to the left heading to the long, narrow pool area. I'm in the water and putting on mask (under water) [MEO #1]. I hear and see FrFshr, recognize his voice and his face, and I do not want to speak with him, I swim by him a couple of times and manage to avoid detection + LD DILD LUCIDD #272 in a large open area after coming in from an outside area talking with a group of young people [don't remember the opening/beginning part well]. People are walking around. See a very tall woman. I think unusually tall. I'm really amazed at the clarity and vividness and detail of the scene. I get lucid from the location being very vivid (and not waking). Confirmed with nose pinches. There is an information counter here and I ask for instructions to <something>. I have to ask several times as I don't hear/understand the answer from the woman sitting there. The instructions are to go downwards and inside. I take a flight of stairs down to a platform overlooking a huge open area below me, hundreds of feet below and spreading far and wide before me. I jump/float down to a middle level platform, and notice how I land feather-light on me feet, no jarring at all. I look over the ledge down to the next level very far below, lots of people are walking around down there. I jump down now as well to the bottom level, it's a really far fall but and I move fairly quickly down but land very very softly on my feet again. Look around, there are a lot of old people like old women, and I tsk at my dreaming brain for trolling me and not providing beautiful people. Find an attractive younger woman, engage with her, she's enthusiastic, dream fades [MEO #1] ... and then I'm back in the scene, at least semi-lucid, and look for some more people to interact with, find one, brief encounter, then the dream fades + Later: ST scene [MEO #2] Cartoony-style graphics + Some sort of team, we're in competition with them, in an outdoor but covered area with large (playground-sized) pipes running diagonally up to the roof. Someone asks me to perform, I (sneeze?) and feel a huge pile of snot land on my upper lip, I ask for a handkerchief to wipe it off, but my agent abandons me at this point and goes with the other team and will promote them instead of us, I feel betrayed
BT ~22:45 final waking: ~05:30 out of bed ~06:30 No recall instantly on my mind, it took some delving/digging, but the memories then came + arrive at an orchestra rehearsal late, other players wonder why I've come at all because my part is really boring, just holding a bunch of whole notes + my [deceased 1st] wife is playing <instrument related to mine> in the orchestra, she's young and attractive, she's sitting in her spot in the orchestra group and is holding the instrument in her hand. I think how these instruments are closely related and one person who plays one can at least get a sound out of the other + flood on the bathroom floor. I'm looking down and at the intersection of the floor and wall I see a large amount of water, and a bunched up pile of rubber gasket. This was a deva vu as I'm pretty sure I saw the same scene earlier in the night. This time I reach down and pull out the rubber gasket, which unblocks thet water and it seeps into the floor. I think this is also bad as the water in the floor will still damage the house. I'm looking down the row of where the water was before and see (white PVC pipes?) + Yogurt/burger joint. I'm standing at the counter of an increasingly crowded frozen yogurt place where you can also order burgers. I'm waiting for my chance to order from the worker and more and more people arrive, some of which stand in front of me, and I say "there's a line!" Some people are ordering burgers. I consider doing that but think that that will take longer. I eventually get my frozen yogurt (white/vanilla) and take it to a table. I see all the gaming (pool) tables all around me are occupied, then I notice that my table is a tiny/toy version, and I think my [current] wife will not be impressed with this toy version of the game. Then I'm playing a sort of fantasy hockey game with a lot of very colorful moving pieces, and where the rules are that I have to keep bringing back my puck back over the half-way line before moving it back into the opponent side. I take a number of shots on the goal. I recall a shiny purple color. [to be continued] [continued] My wife arrives. Then a guy comes up to our table and wants to take some chairs. He's very aggressive. I think my wife doesn't want me to give him anything, but I decide that it's better to give him a couple chairs. "here, you can take these two, we're not using them" I say, look down, and see that actually our stuff (backpacks/coats) are draped over them. + [earlier, vague] with a bunch of guys who are aggressive towards homosexuals, including signs that read "no effeminate sitting [on the toilet]" + View a team of young people standing under a canopy about 40 yards away, they are working on a solution to some problem. then one of the team members is standing fairly close to me, I think I may recognize him
early: + putting on socks which turn out to be very wide, colorful, all-toe socks that look like a jester's hat; a group of people is going up an external, half-story elevator on a building later: + I'm arriving to a (new?) tennis club. There are people forming up into pairs to play. Up on a higher landing there is a giant who is severely deformed, he's looking for a game but nobody's playing with him he turns to leave through a door, I think that I should offer to play with him. Then we walk around a bit and I'm on a court with the giant. He's serving, and he does so by leaning over the ned and pounding the ball directly into my side of the court, I have no chance and I can't return any of his serves. It starts with me on the right side and trying to return forehand, then we move to the left side and I prepare to return backhand. I think when it's my turn to serve, what kind of serves I'll try to do. I see my [deceased 1st] wife trying to make a diving shot, extending her racquet out as far as she can and diving to the ground. There's a young woman there with a bottle of wine, I think all the people here drink heavily, the club is just an excuse to get together to drink. + attending astronomy class at university: I have an idea (talking to?) the prof, and I enter the classroom, up at the front, around where the blackboards are, I see through to the planetarium mechanism that he'll use to project the stars onto the ceiling during class. I take my seat and start listening, the prof though is not the one I expected, I think maybe they made a last minute substitution. But he's talking about subjects that are not astronomy and I figure out that I'm in the wrong room. There is a test going on where the answers to the questions is simply an indication of how much you like the question. I move to another room, at the entrance there are men's & women's restroom doors, I take the 3rd door which leads to a small classroom. There are students already sitting, there are not many seats available, and there are no pairs of seats available, so my friend JoTy (company 3) won't be able to sit with me. I sit next to a guy in an open seat on the aisle. I wave to my friend (don't really see him) to show him where I'm sitting. + young guys discussing bad luck practices in a crowded bar setting, me planning to say something in French, walk by Zelensky who says something briefly, I keep going + talking/walking with real estate professionals (they ask if I understand the "in/out" principle, I say obviously I understand the words "in" and "out"), they explain why they don't work with kids: it amounts to a litmus test question that must be answered before breakfast, and the test is administered in a small separate house.
Catching up on previous night's short sleep, just not enough energy to recall and record during the night. one scene clearly remembered: +[f] I'm telling my younger son (young in the dream) that he can go get his black/red rubber boots + [vague] some flying around an area outside + [vague] something happening in an indoor classroom
No supplements, to bed not too late (15 mins after preferred), big vivid waking around 5 hrs, that plus major life stress meant I didn't get back to sleep so I just got up about 1.5-2 hours early and lay on the couch with the dog waiting for it to get light outside. + I was simultaneously me and some other guy in bed with his/my wife, getting frisky, we're kissing, she falls out of bed and laughs about it, gets back up, then our daughter comes into room, we say we're just playing, she jumps into bed and says "I want to play, too!", I roll my eyes thinking no "fun" tonight + rotating the handle to close a 2-part skylight that was leaking in the rain; two dishwashers, they recommend to use the less-automated one with the round dish holder. The entire dish tray is circular like a large donut, it's a strange form factor. The more normal dishwasher had something wrong with it + a purple couple being frisky, I tell them about the birds and the bees, they say "well THAT would have been good to know earlier!" and pull out a string of their (purple) kids from underneath the bed, I get frisky with the woman, this goes on for quite a while, it's pretty good + frisky time [detect the theme for the night?] with another woman who's in a room with some other men, then we're sitting around in a group talking about how it went (MEO 2022-09-25) +[f] there is blood on a crane, and it has turned blue + strategizing about how to defeat an enemy using advanced technology in the form of a car, and the enemy comes and steals the car + a pile of small, odd, round-ish gray devices on a wall, they are computer chips embedded in some sort of solidified powder + former work place, meeting with people sitting around a large table, meeting head says something like "and what about status from A, B, <myname>," my [former] manager who is sitting with me away from the table says "oh, he [me] is off the project, now 'Dale' is handling that", I wonder about this 'Dale'. I think Dale is a woman, and probably of Indian decent, I wonder how talented she is (I assume pretty good to be working there)
Tried 400mg L-theanine and 1g L-tryptophan at bedtime. Was in bed from around 22:30 to 07:50, a record for recent months, almost 9 hours! I usually estimate about 30 minutes of time awake in the night, meaning about 8.3 hours sleeping. Interestingly, there was very little dreaming that I recall. + writing with a pen that changes colors as you write + talking with musicians, that I play <main instrument>, but used to play trombone in 4th grade, and I could even hit a high "G" note at that time, the trombonists responded and said that's pretty good + [vague] with people in rooms, like a hostel, something about beds, bed sizes, and bedspreads later: + taking pics, someone comes to and demands to see what I've taken
Late to bed, unavoidable due to fun evening activities . the range of 06:00 - 06:30 is converging on being a natural wake time. Drowsiness is pretty much gone by then, and the mind kicks in. Works well if I can get to bed by 22:30 + In a sort of hub area in the center of an area with a lot of rooms around the periphery. I'm reading an electronic sign to try to see which room our commando team needs to storm to get the bad guys. I'm having trouble reading the screen, something about "34?" Then I see a clear "20" and I should out "It's 20! Go! Go! Go!" + In a bar, sort of half outdoors, low-class, like build of barrels, dirty, there is a guy from T-5 (Mon. Sal) there. I/they say something? + walking in a cave, I come to a point where the path rises up, curves to the left, goes back down, then turns to the right around a corner. From the top of the rise I look down and see some equipment, it is either a sensor or an automated weapon turret or a combination of both, and I know these are from the enemy. I quickly draw back down around the corner so I'm not in line of sight of the turret. I ponder taking another peek around the corner at the thing again (maybe I do, quickly?)

[almost on the edge of the idea that this could be a dream?] + at a (youth?) hostel, the door is locked, and people both inside and outside are waiting for the manager to unlock it; inside, I go through reception, (I ask about my green backpack?) + See deceased dog, young, bright copper color, on a driveway outside in twilight, some patches of snow on the ground, wife mentions that I am on retreat; see my old car (toyota or ford) parked across the street + At home, there is a massive flood on my floor, the water runs out and down to lower levels, all the way to the neighbor's, they complain; I get furious [DS] at a young (renter?) and demand they leave; two other young guests perform a "poopy head" joke with poop in a box, I yell at them to leave + observe/playing a pool/billiards game 2022-09-20 earlier: + With deceased 1st wife, outside, I'm "skating" in my shoes on patches of ice on the pavement, back and forth; she gets out her skis and hops down onto the frozen river, it's doesn't look good to me, too wavy, and exposed water; some guys are tumbling around in a room + I'm high on a cliff/wall overlooking a large body of clear water (lake/ocean), I'm planning to jump down, I'm scanning for rocks/obstacles, and plan my jump to land in a sufficiently deep area; get out of the water, and (eating chips?) later: + Arrive in a cafe with lots of people, we're meeting a (realtor? finance advisor) there, a woman sitting on a couch, one of two, looks up to us, we greet; she advises that a particular piece of paper is all we need to establish ownership of our property, and "you can use it for escrow or future needs", I'm a bit surprised by this + Walking in the aisle between cubes at work [DREAMSIGN big time], in one cube a guy is working with multiple screens/computers, and I think that's because he's testing a lot of different graphics cards all at once + [f] twilight, something about a football game [DS]
+[f] something about women and documents at work? Final waking: + I'm on a high place outside in daytime, looking down upon a street that is lined with tall trees. There is a man there standing by the open trunk of his car and I know he is up to no good. I fly down parallel to the sidewalk away from him in order to circle around clockwise over the street and film him and catch his license plate. My [deceased] 1st wife is sitting in a car that I fly over, she either tells me not to interfere or I tell her. I'm hovering over the street about 20 feet in the air trying to get a clear shot of the man's license plate on my cell phone, which I'm using to video the scene. Trees are interfering with getting a clear shot as I fly past. Then (later?) I'm telling my sons to get into and start the engines on our several cars that are parked on the street in front of the "bad man." As we move from car to car, about the 3rd car, a man driving a beat-up white van backs from a driveway or side street onto the street just in front of our car, and I'm a bit annoyed about this. + [vague] something about me and my sons being in trouble? + [vague] something about my stocks going up?
My book-directed ("End The Insomnia Struggle", excellent book, highly recommended) insomnia therapy is bearing fruit. I am more and more aware and familiar with my sleep/wake rhythms. My sleep drive is regularly very high in the evening now. In fact, if I'm doing something quiet, like sitting watching a video, it gets to the point where I start nodding off and can't keep my eyes open. I'm learning more about how much sleep I can reliably generate under what circumstances. The good news is that I typically have a very vivid, long period of dreaming within the sleep window of what I can typically generate (6.5 hours). The not-so-good news is that it's less than I'd like, for dreaming. But we work with what we have. I did sleep for a bit over 7 hours today (hard to tell light sleep from awake without a fitness tracker device), while being in bed for around 8.5. Decent quality of non-lucid recall. + overflow of water in the bathroom (went back to sleep late morning with a mild urge to pee) + sitting on a sidewalk on a city street with my back against a pole as people walk by, 3 girls come up to me and proposition me to spend the night with them. + in a buffet restaurant, where one self-cooks chunks of meat (ground and whole) in vats of boiling oil + walking around with a girl through city streets, with some friends as body guards in dicey-er parts of town, I get directions from them to where we're going and I don't understand them, we stop in an outdoor restaurant + situation with a chamber pot that I haven't emptied yet, smelly with the remains of the contents + walking around with a girl (romantic interest?) who's playing in a band; for band forms for rehearsal, I'm not sure if I should play or not, then I see that <my instrument> players do show up so I think I don't need to participate. Later, we're hanging out in a room and I take out her electronic bass and improvise my way through the bass solo in the opening to the intro music to the Barney Miller 1970's TV sitcom: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roHYXrLhmHc. At one point this girl is walking through a room and she's naked from the waist down, her <ahem> at one point is clearly visible from behind, I notice other guys looking.
+ driving on a street, a large wagon blocks our path and drives up along the driver's side of ours, slowly, but forcing us off the road into a parking garage, where there is an entrance blocking arm, (I can't figure out how to operate it?), a (black?) guy comes up and shows a control area with cards, you have to buy like a monthly subscription to the garage in order to park there. +[f] something about paying back a loan, thinking about how it'd get done, some currency conversion had to be done between dollars and (foreign currency). + I see Suzanne, she is with a guy, I thought she would come up to me and we'd be together, she comes up and give me a brief hug, I tell her that I'm glad that she found a friend,. We're walking with them and a group of others, it's an urban setting, concrete ground, we walk past a carport (to a restaurant?) and Suzanne says that her laundry is in a dryer here, I think it's odd that she has her laundry spread around the city in various washer/dryers and I say "man you guys do laundry in the strangest of places!" We walk past along the side of a restaurant building, it's a McDonalds, I see a sign on the corner that has the word "milkshakes" in it, I think, "I'm in America, so I see all of the American restaurants, it was a salad bar McDonald's, full of the lowest level / sleaziest people. We're inside and I hear the employees of the McD's talk about the mechanics of how the customers will take food on to their plates. I turn a couple 90-degree corners to the left and arrive at the entrance area, people are waiting in front of a hostess (or cashier) in an entry area, I sit down on a bench past the hostess, there are people on my right approaching me, I want (Suzanne?) to come with next to me but there are people in front of her that may take that spot. + sitting in a small room with some windows, I'm trying to avoid having anybody look through the windows and see what's on my screen [DS], I look out of one small window (it's up pretty high) and see a pile of debris that reaches up to the window and an opening beyond it, I think that's pretty good, nobody will come and look through that window. A young Indian man comes up to the central/longer window and enters the room, apparently he was actual Mexican so I started fake-speaking Spanish in nonsense words. last dream before alarm @ 0700 + I was standing before a tall cabinet/dresser with a woman / boss to my left and a man to my right, and some prisoners/captives around on the other side of the wall where the cabinet is standing. On top of the cabinet is a box with stuff, there's a smaller container with lots of small bits of jewelry in it, I pour out the contents (I think it belongs to my 1st [deceased] wife?), and I'm looking through it and pick out bullets. Once I gather a handful of bullets, I pick up an unloaded semi-automatic pistol from the dresser top and hand everything to the boss woman who says "what are these?" , I answer "bullets," she says "it's good to give the impression that we're having a conversation, so I hand the things to the woman and we start to have a pretend conversation, just saying words without much meaning (partial, more to transcribe) + MEO 2022-08-30 #1 from several days ago: + outdoors daytime city, a large / tall bus/truck is making a right turn and a smaller (SUV?) vehicle tries to zip past the truck also turning right, but the bus turns too sharply and knocks into the car, causing it to roll over to the right several times. When it comes to rest I wonder if anyone left alive inside. + after McDonald's scene, we pass a member of our group of people who were walking around, he's up on a platform, he's there with his wife and kid, and he's completely dsassembled his car (the engine especially) into many different pieces which are all laying about. He says as we pass, "I love physics!" His wife is frustrated because he's completely disassembled the car. + [f] at some point earlier I had a clsoe-up view o car cylinder, and how you had to push and pull the cylinder parts to get it to operate.
+ catching a line drive (hit by superman?) in a game of (superhero?) softball, I'm standing in a city street, (the ball flies over a fence to me?), I don't have a glove, the ball flies right at me and I put up my right hand to try to catch it but it's coming too fast and it smacks my palm and falls to the ground. Then the other players are tossing a lot of balls my way and I'm not able to catch any of them, I tell them this is because I don't have my glove + in a store running along a very large / wide ice cream aisle, I look down and see the various flavors, I arrive to the end of the aisle where people I know (my BIL?) are sitting + in a public bathroom, there are open (door-less) stalls to my left, I walk to the end of the room up to the wall (urinal?) and I see to the left a small child (baby/infant?) is floating in the toilet (the floor is covered in sand?), some other smaller kid comes up and lies on top of the one in the toilet (it's pretty large like 2-3x the size of a typical toilet) and lies on top of him and poops, I see the brown cloud in the water beginning to spread, I think "man if anybody knows that first kid he'll come here and kick the 2nd one's ass" and indeed a large guy comes up and picks up the pooping 2nd kid and holds him up in the air + I'm stacking apples in a supermarket. There are some very funny shaped / large red ones. There is a very small one and a supermarket clerk comes up to me and takes the smal one, I think nobody wants it, but then starts to take the large/funny shaped ones too and I indicate I want to keep them. + arrive to another (same?) supermarket, a greeter handed me a little whiteboard (to write my shopping list on?) and I think "oh this is the place where they give you the white board", the greeter asked if I wanted something like a root beer, I declined, but then reconsidered and figured since they're offering me a free drink why not ask for something better, so I asked "get me a rootbeer float!" Later on there's a deli section, there are lots of young people there, they're looking at me (and snickering?), I think "I guess they've never seen someone (cool) like me with a beard before + in a class/brainstorming session, young people, they're rewriting some document, there's a paper with words (list of ice cream flavors?), afterwards they were sleeping/camping out in sleeping bags on little platforms in a river, it was all surrounded by concrete like under an overpass or elevated highway. + I was outdoors singing, I thought the people nearby who hear me should be impressed.
