    Lucid Time!

    Lucid College

My roommate's alarm went off an hour early and woke me up. I went back to sleep.

    -WBTB-

I remember false awakening in my dorm room. Manei was my roommate instead of D. She was shaking telling me, trying to get me out of bed because it was time for class and that I had to get up.

I was semi lucid, but I had all of these false memories that I was actually going to college to learn lucid dreaming and that there was actually nothing unusual about this situation. I falsely remembered that other dreamer-guide groups were in other dorms.

I remember thinking of other DV members, I had false memories for a lot of them. Dawneye11 was across the hall. Only Dawn was going to school; there was some rule that you could only bring one guide. I thought of OneUp. He had a female guide who was short and had light brown hair and green eyes, but I didn't know her name. (I don't know if OneUp even has met a guide yet.) I then thought of ~Dreamer~ and remembered that she was a professor at the college who taught a course on DILD.

I also remember the dorm room looking quite a lot different. IRL it's pretty plain, not really decorated, however in the dream there was this big red canvas wall mount with all of these pouches in it that we used to hold books and jackets and stuff. We had a TV and a couple of plants in the window. I think the room was a little bit bigger too.

I got out of bed and got really interested in the room. There were these three parchment banners hanging above my bed desk with Chinese characters on them. I kept thinking that I knew what they meant. They had a blue border that had a really interesting design too.

Manei lodged some complaint that I created the dream wrong because she only had white tank tops to wear.

I can't recall the dream from here, I think I woke up and was stuck in bed limbo for awhile. I remember thinking something was really funny.

What is up with all of this semi-lucidity? Usually I'm not using this much yellow, green and teal, but these last few days have been weird.

It's interesting how you've gotten semi lucid these past few days a lot. Perhaps your getting closer to having another long lucid dream and you just need a push in the right direction. But I wouldn't know what that needs to be. Maybe a reliable dream sign.

For awhile I actually used to do an 'Interpretation: ...' for each dream, but it died out since I couldn't really gleam anything from most of my dreams and it seemed kind of pointless. I can try my hand at it here.

I think the fact that I was dreaming of going to college for lucid dreaming could represent pursuit of knowledge. College (higher education) could mean that I am at an advanced level of learning how to lucid dream, but am still pursuing new knowledge to perfect what I know.

The fact that Manei was my roommate is probably because (for all you regular readers of my DJ) we see each other quite often, see each other quite often and act as a pair. I also take note of the fact that she is in the dorm room, as a student and not a teacher. Probably because of the way that we view each other as equals, rather than a master-student relationship. We are both here to learn, and our partnership is important to our success.

And the fact that the dorm room was well furnished could mean that I view the dream world as superior to the waking world. The other students down the hall that are other DV members working as professors represent the online community here that I have access to and am learning from.

Chances are were that my roommate waking me up with his alarm and my focus on lucid dreaming and thinking about being on Dreamviews got mixed up and the false awakening of Manei trying to wake me up in a college full of lucid dreamers from Dreamviews happened.

It actually makes a lot of sense when you think about it.

First of all, I think you're quoting part of my signature. I don't know if that was intentional or not, but I'll give you credit for it anyway.

Second of all, It could be. I think the semi lucidity is more just because I'm lazy and going to bed late, and thus having sludgy dreams. (It's kind of ironic to say that, but in lucid dreaming practice, the lazy ones are the ones who burn the midnight oil.) But I've been committed to my practice (I've been very active on Dreamviews this past week) and have been reality checking left and right. If only I could find it in me to start going to bed earlier, then maybe I would start having more WBTB chains.

I'd like to believe another lucid dream worthy of a 'Memorable' tag is just around the corner.

It was unintentional quoting part of you signature. xD But still cool how you noticed it.
