28.06.2013Arrested for Not Having a Light While Skateboarding (DILD) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID It seems I'm heading for the apartment I used to reside in college, and as I'm going through this very familiar dream environment from College Station, the setting of the dream goes from afternoon to night time fairly quick. I'm apparently using a skateboard, which is rare for me to do in a dream, and as the walk light confirms I can move, there's a police vehicle about 15 feet away from me. I ignore it because I didn't feel I was doing anything bad, just strolling along and riding a skateboard back to the dream apartment. Then I look inside to find a police officer is looking at me suspiciously, and he prompts me to stop and then informs me how I have get arrested for not using a light while skateboarding. I couldn't even fathom why I needed a light in the first place if I have nothing to attach it on the skateboard, and holding it on my hand wouldn't make a different either. It just didn't make sense to me since the setting wasn't even that dark. I enter the police vehicle, and the composition of the vehicle is very abnormal. There's about 3 more police officers in the vehicle, and suddenly the same car as the space of a limo. There's two cops sitting on the left side, and one on the right, and I guess I sit somewhere on the left, and I didn't even pay attention to see if anyone was going to operate the vehicle in the first place. It's almost as if the moment I said that, the dream characters that were police officers suddenly lost all competence and awareness of their roles of actually BEING officers. But I decided to just let it play along and see where this is going to lead me. The dream shifts, and I'm not in the police station office, and it's pretty busy, but not too hectic. People were going about doing their usual thing, and I'm not even sure if I had handcuffs attached or not. There were moments where I had my hands in the position that implied I was handcuffed, and other moments where I was venturing around the huge police station office with many stairs, levels, and floors. The environment inside mostly was saturated in a turquoise color which really created the theme of how chilled and relaxed this area of the dream was. I could sense that it was fairly air-conditioned, and it just had that office smell to it, most likely because of the blue-violet carpet that had all sorts of colors in small dots, but not too much to where they dominate the general color. I could hear some fans blowing when I'm going around the police station office, and just random dream characters that are occupied doing desk work and such. I was beginning to wonder if I'm really committing a crime here, seeing how I'm not in jail. The dream shifts and I'm sitting down bracing my back against the wall with handcuffs still attached. I turn to the right and saw I'm near an exit of the building, and then I turn back to find some random blonde male coming near me. He seemed like a friendly guy, and I guess he asks me what I got in trouble for. I told him I got stopped by the police for not having a light at night while skateboarding, and I started to explain how it was silly to even be arrested for doing so. Everyone but him started to make those quiet remarks to themselves about what I just said, like: "Ooooh, look how he's trying to *insert whatever they said*" He looks around them for a bit and focuses on me again. He mentions if I wanted to hang around with him sometime later on, and with this logic, I'm not so sure if an office is supposed to ask anyone to hang out when they're handcuffed. He stated how he has friends that drink, and I felt his logic was even more contradicting especially since I had a hunch that he arrests his friends for drinking as well. I don't know, maybe it was just my dream emotions preventing me from conceptualizing a cohesive thought on what's actually going on with me and this guy talking. I forget what I stated to him, but whatever it was, he casually leaves and probably goes back to his duty. I can't remember much to that dream seeing how I put off the recall for a day.

Dream - Lucid I was at work, ringing people up. The store looked a bit different than it does IWL. The store was dim; many of the lights had been turned off. There weren't many people inside either. A customer kept coming up to my register over and over, a really sweet, chubby woman with her short hair pulled back into a ponytail. She was wearing a black shirt with a hot pink collared one underneath. She would come up and talk to me for a little bit, then go and keep shopping. She did this 3 times or so before she was finally ready to check out. She only had two or three items. As I was sliding them over the reader to scan the barcodes, I asked her (one) of the required questions: "Would you like to open a charge card with us? I can save you up to 30%." I thought I saw her shake her head no, but when I said "no?" she said yes, she did want a card. I got excited, since so few people say yes to that question, and, as a store, we have to get so many a day. "Yes! Great!!" I said, feeling like I had shown my excitement a bit too much, and started to explain the process to her. I got it so she could fill out the app herself on the pinpad. She talked to me as she filled it out. Then, when we submitted the application, the computer shut down! Oh crap. The app was lost, and we'd have to start over again. The computer came back up with this desktop background of what looked like a sunset on a dock where some sailboats were tethered. The program then came back up, and we started the app over, this time, with me doing it on my side of the register. She didn't seem too upset about it. She was still upbeat and smiling. She was telling me about some vacation she was going on. I looked at her driver's license and filled out the app, which looked a bit different than it does IWL. It asked me the same basic questions, like name and such, but instead of the questions being listed from left to right, they were listed up and down. I got to the end of the app, and there were some weird questions that seemed to be quizzing me on my customer, like where she was going on vacation and stuff. I just kept talking to the customer and tried to think of the answers, and eventually, I had to just make some up. I went back to the top of the app to have the customer type in her SSN, but the box for SSN had disappeared completely. Ugh...now it probably isn't going to work again, but I hit submit anyway. And of course, it didn't work. The computer froze for a second, then brought me back to the screen where you ring things up. UG09w3urp9ouhwe98hdg. This poor lady...and she was being so patient! I told her that the app stuff was being glitchy, and I'd just give her the 30% off anyway. Then, suddenly, we were on a beach. The cloudless sky looked as if the sun was rising; it was painted with soft pinks and blues. We were standing at the mouth of a cave, overlooking the beach. The water seemed calm; it was beautiful. I plopped down in the sand, laying down in it on my back. I said "This is the life, huh?" to the customer, and she seemed distracted, like she was ready to be done and out of the store. Can't say I blamed her; she had been there for forever. We were then back in the dim store, and a couple of other women were there, trying to get the app thing to work for my customer. One of them was a manager, the other, a cashier like me. I told the manager that the app thing wasn't working. She went back behind the counter to take a look. ~ I was then in the dim store again, and an older, taller, thinner lady with short, grey, permed hair came up to me and said she wanted to exchange one earring. I asked her what was wrong with it as she handed the long, dangly, earring beaded with turquoise to me, and she started going on about how it was supposed to hold the key to her thong. Ok. Right. So I told her about the even exchange policy, and asked her to find another pair of equal or lesser value. Her husband was then there as well, and said she had already found the replacement pair. They were then handed to me. They were supposed to be the same earrings, but they looked more like chandelier-style earrings than the long, dangly one she handed me at first, though they still had the turquoise. There was a point in I think the first dream, or a dream I don't remember anymore, where I was lucid for like 10 seconds, but I lost it.

Here is one I need to write down before I forget it... I parked my turquoise truck in a gravel parking lot surrounded by trees. There are few other cars in this parking lot, but I haven't seen anyone else. It's early morning, the sky is grey and cold, and I believe I am in uniform. I open the passenger door and my cat jumps out and then runs across the parking lot diagonal from the truck. I run around the truck and call for her in an excited voice. It was one of those times where I knew if this wasn't a dream, that she would keep running from me, but I wanted her to come back so I had a "this is my dream, you do what I say" moment. She stops, looks back at me, and trots on over. She jumps up on the truck bed ledge and purrs and rubs on me. By this time I go to pet her and give her a little kitty lovin's and an Lieutenant in uniform walks on over. She says "Is this your cat?" I nodded and smiled. She then glared at me and said "Why didn't you salute?"... I had been in uniform and didn't have a legitimate excuse, so I looked down and was in civilian clothes. I replied "I'm not in uniform!" and she gave me a snooty look and walked off. I put my cat back into the truck. Had another dream after that, but I can't remember that one anymore.
