    1. School Bus and Fan

      by , 01-03-2016 at 06:21 AM
I remembered some short fragments of dreams. Before that I had some dreams that I didn't remember. First I was on a school bus with my boyfriend. There were a few other people on the bus but most of the seats were empty. There was a window open near the front of the bus and a nice breeze was coming through. We liked the breeze. I was lying in the bus seat feeling euphoric because of the breeze and my boyfriend was looking at me over the top of the seat in front of me.

Then me and my boyfriend were in the apartment. I mounted a fan to the wall near the broken air conditioner. We were happy thinking the fan was going to function as an air conditioner and blow cold air on us. I turned it on and it didn't seem to be working very well.

Then I was leaving some place with a friend but as we were walking to the car I wanted to spend more time with him so I asked him if he wanted to go shopping and he did. And since we were already at a strip mall we just walked into the next store, which was a large hardware store. The next store was an auto parts store. We weren't really shopping, but just walking around and talking.
    2. Glow Cat Glow

      by , 07-22-2015 at 01:22 PM
Morning of July 22, 2015. Wednesday.

This title is not that relevant - as the cat itself does not glow, but for some reason it just came into my head as the title (and who am I to “argue” with self-titling excursions into the surreal).

Yet again my dream alters the features and layouts of real locations. This time our bed that is in real life in what would otherwise be the dining room (head to the west) is now in the front computer room, which is adjacent to our older children’s rooms; the head to the east (though feasible, not that likely to be as such - especially as our oldest son’s room has a window in his wall into the room). At the same time, the computer desk is near the window (where the bed was).

I “realize” that I am at 611 North Monroe Street (in America), which I rarely dream about anymore, especially considering I have not lived there since early 1968 (before moving to Cubitis off Highway Seventeen). My cat Tiger (long gone in reality), an orange tabby, is walking about. I “realize” that I am about seven years old but am concerned that Tiger has stepped in paint and is tracking it around the room. He is hesitant and shaking each leg in rotation, just as in reality when a cat steps in questionable liquid. However, the footprints are like a light and almost like a “hole” as well, somehow.

I “remember” after the tracks are giving off an annoying amount of light, that I can “turn off the footprints” (that is, anything glowing in the room) with a special light switch. I move my hand around to feel for it but cannot find it. I vaguely also recall (real memory) that there is a stack of about six or seven comic books on the left side of the toilet tank in the bathroom and am wondering if they will be knocked into the toilet as a result of the cat’s actions. I am trying to remember if this already happened at a previous time and if as such they had been there for several days thus far (which makes no sense of course).

The cat walks up the wall, leaving an even pattern of footprints (which start to look more like upright five-pointed stars than cat paw prints), almost to the ceiling. “Come down from there,” I command. The animal comes down and starts purring very loudly on my chest but seems eventually to be my own breathing (and likely Zsuzsanna’s as well).

My thinking falls into the slightly abstract. I realize that a “star pentagon” is not a pentagon at all but a decagon (as it has ten sides and angles, not five sides and angles). I feel a strange uneasiness over humanity being “wrong” yet again, then realize everything in the world is misnamed and misunderstood anyway, so it does not matter that much.

I approach three (unknown) girls in somewhat plain dresses (sitting on the floor in the form of a triangle for the most part) who seem to be speaking Portuguese and involved in an occult ritual. There is unexplainable luminosity in the setting. Looking more closely, I see they are actually playing Jacks. However, looking again, I see the game box looks suspiciously like some sort of ritualistic system with the box shaped like a hexagon. I then confirm this by the fact that, even though they are playing Jacks, it is on a hexagram painted carefully on the floor. Then I get annoyed once again as I realize that the “hexagram” is actually a type of dodecagon, as it has twelve angles and twelve sides, not six angles and six sides.

“No one knows what anything is,” I say calmly. One of the girls (to the left and closest to where I am standing) turns and looks at me curiously though smiles in understanding and seeming familiarity (with a vague thought she is my wife when much younger). She says, “A minha estrela guia” (“my guiding star”) and I am not sure if she means me or the game piece (Jack) she is holding. Then I realize she may not have said “A minha estrela guia” but “I’m in Australia”, which sounds the same (and it slowly dawns on me that this is yet another “missed clue” or “confirmation”, of millions, about finding Yin incarnate, yet I recall I already have).

I feel slightly nervous and enter a more luminous state of “quivering” (where the foreground and background quickly shift inversely to each other) and see a large electric fan (all white, including the blades) where the rotary keeps changing in diameter, smaller and larger, but somewhat randomly. The fan blades sometimes curve out as if in attempt to touch or at least reach me (with a perceived sense of care and compassion, not as a threat). The imagery shifts in unusual ways. Every now and then, a small narrow crocodile head emerges (again, with no sense of threat, and the mouth remains closed) horizontally and evenly from the center and is seemingly pulled back in. Other things the spinning fan blades become is a cycad palm, a sunflower, and some sort of floral kaleidoscopic design. I watch it for quite some time (with a vaguely perceived buzzing) and eventually shift into a dream where Steve J (an old classmate) and I are walking just below rafters on roof support beams and ceiling joists in a large building. The rafter patterns become more and more complex. This last part, Zsuzsanna says she also dreamt of - though she was the one walking mainly on the hanging beams (without any actual reason or prior cause to dream as such, though this shared dreaming happens fairly often). (However, I did have a lot of similar dreams when about thirteen.)

    3. The Fan

      by , 09-03-2014 at 03:03 PM
Morning of September 3, 2014. Wednesday.

This was a typical “I cannot assemble it” dream where almost every possible wrong result occurs at one point or another; a recurring theme but with the dreams themselves usually quite different - but usually long and monotonous. Sometimes they have “resets” (with variant repeats) two or more times in a night which then seem to go on for several hours.

The location seems to be a larger version of the Barolin Street house. An unknown East Indian male of about twenty-five has brought a metal floor fan package to our house, possibly as a Christmas present, as I have a vague perception of a Christmas tree in the background at one point. However, it is possibly a present for a relative of mine (even though it seems we will sometimes be using it as well) - he just wants me to assemble it first. What follows is pure tedium.

Some of the events that occur and repeat in various ways include:

Screws and smaller pieces falling from one of the hollow cylinders. Trying to work out which part is connected to whatever other part. Having an awareness that some of the parts may or may not be missing. Looking around for any instructions which did not seem to come with the box. Putting parts together and then realizing it is wrong and having to dismantle the parts again. Finding a piece that appears to be broken or made wrongly, but not being sure it is. Realizing that the product is probably just junk and not feasible as a working appliance.

The other male eventually seems pessimistic about his purchase and mentions something a few times about returning it, but I do my best to try to resolve the issue by assembling the metal floor fan as correctly as possible; parts which seem to be for a rather large and high one (perhaps too high for the intended room). Near the end of my dream, I have two larger hollow cylindrical parts together (one partly within another) and seem to be making progress, but there is a wobbly miniature-cage-like section that sort of partly hangs from near the middle by the implied power and speed control buttons. I have a concern about someone being electrocuted if it is not assembled properly. (The connected sections also seem to be a foundation for a fan that would stand too high to be of any use.) One of the last things that happens is that more screws of various lengths and a few other smaller metal pieces slide and fall out from the inside of what I had pieced together thus far.

There is a scene where there is broken glass on the floor, potentially hazardous - one piece being fairly large and jagged. I hand a larger piece to the other male and he deposes of it. It came from a drinking glass that had fallen from a table earlier, I think. (Another recent dream featured broken glass - dreams for me often repeat one aspect or feature in a completely different scenario, but often only once or twice.)

One other situation involves looking for the instruction booklet now and then. At one point, it appears we have finally found it, but it turns out to be some sort of catalog or promotional guidebook showing the entire product line of the company, mostly industrial appliances. I get the idea of assembling it from looking at the box, but that does not help either due to all the atypical internal parts.

There are a lot of ways to look at this dream. I am not really a fan of typical dream symbolism or alternate meanings (pun intended) unless specifically personally obvious, as this type of dream seems mostly a result of a focus on attempting to build something without the reasoning abilities which dreams usually lack and as such - may not even have any deeper meaning - many people make the mistake of thinking all dreams have “messages” or deeper meaning when many do not (and likely most if you do not do actual dream work or have a “direct line” to dream memory or layered associations, which almost always - at least for me, have impersonal and quite trivial precognitive, postcognitive, or the usual remote-viewing elements - a vestigial aspect I have always believed in from the overwhelming proof, from when the once natural “universal awareness” that animals, even insects have - in being too much to absorb for day to day mundane tasks for humans - thus this universal awareness eventually changed to include other levels of mind (including what some people call the subconscious, which is not a static system as often promoted but dynamic, and as such I do not believe in what people usually call the “subconscious” by reference and supposed aspects of such) - though while still having potential for supraconscious links).

In other words, and somewhat obviously - trying to build or assemble something in a dream (even a vivid one) is automatically (and quite naturally) much the same as trying to assemble something while utterly inebriated and only using half a brain, so any “failure” in such a dream means not much more in terms of the real world than my amazing stunts of success - where I once brought Earth back into its proper orbit with bottle rockets tied down over the highway (though that does remain one of my favorite childhood dreams).

Again, some plays one might see typically: “not having any fans” (or not making fans), “concerned about glasses being broken” (I do not wear or need glasses), “seeking instructions” but being shown only advertising of ideas not needed by present company, “power being caged in” (or variations of control or higher power being caged), and several others.

On an additional note, as a fan often represents the Merkaba (or a half of the Merkaba) it could also relate to wasted lucidity potential.

    4. Strange Dream

by , 07-02-2013 at 04:46 PM (My Dream Journal; Mentis est Infinata)
Last night, I had a dream that didn't really make sense:

Apparently, in the dream, a fan that is painted the color red can cause someone to pass out or something.
So then this "war" started between me (with some friends of mine) and some other team or something. I don't really know.

Anyway, a "war" took place. They attempted to raid us a few times, and we attempted to raid them a few times. I don't remember how exactly the raids worked, but I'm pretty sure that they involved the red fans. After a few raids, things turn a bit different.

The dream suddenly turns into some weird form of the Civ Stage in Spore. Their "base" is a bit more detailed in this part. It looks like a small restaurant that sells burgers. Anyway, my friend launches an ICBM that destroys their restaurant thing and then the war is over.

      Then I woke up.
    5. [DILD]Arrested for Not Having a Light While Skateboarding

Arrested for Not Having a Light While Skateboarding (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

It seems I'm heading for the apartment I used to reside in college, and as I'm going through this very familiar dream environment from College Station, the setting of the dream goes from afternoon to night time fairly quick. I'm apparently using a skateboard, which is rare for me to do in a dream, and as the walk light confirms I can move, there's a police vehicle about 15 feet away from me.

I ignore it because I didn't feel I was doing anything bad, just strolling along and riding a skateboard back to the dream apartment. Then I look inside to find a police officer is looking at me suspiciously, and he prompts me to stop and then informs me how I have get arrested for not using a light while skateboarding.

I couldn't even fathom why I needed a light in the first place if I have nothing to attach it on the skateboard, and holding it on my hand wouldn't make a different either. It just didn't make sense to me since the setting wasn't even that dark. I enter the police vehicle, and the composition of the vehicle is very abnormal. There's about 3 more police officers in the vehicle, and suddenly the same car as the space of a limo. There's two cops sitting on the left side, and one on the right, and I guess I sit somewhere on the left, and I didn't even pay attention to see if anyone was going to operate the vehicle in the first place.

It's almost as if the moment I said that, the dream characters that were police officers suddenly lost all competence and awareness of their roles of actually BEING officers. But I decided to just let it play along and see where this is going to lead me. The dream shifts, and I'm not in the police station office, and it's pretty busy, but not too hectic. People were going about doing their usual thing, and I'm not even sure if I had handcuffs attached or not. There were moments where I had my hands in the position that implied I was handcuffed, and other moments where I was venturing around the huge police station office with many stairs, levels, and floors.

The environment inside mostly was saturated in a turquoise color which really created the theme of how chilled and relaxed this area of the dream was. I could sense that it was fairly air-conditioned, and it just had that office smell to it, most likely because of the blue-violet carpet that had all sorts of colors in small dots, but not too much to where they dominate the general color. I could hear some fans blowing when I'm going around the police station office, and just random dream characters that are occupied doing desk work and such.

I was beginning to wonder if I'm really committing a crime here, seeing how I'm not in jail. The dream shifts and I'm sitting down bracing my back against the wall with handcuffs still attached. I turn to the right and saw I'm near an exit of the building, and then I turn back to find some random blonde male coming near me. He seemed like a friendly guy, and I guess he asks me what I got in trouble for.

I told him I got stopped by the police for not having a light at night while skateboarding, and I started to explain how it was silly to even be arrested for doing so. Everyone but him started to make those quiet remarks to themselves about what I just said, like:

"Ooooh, look how he's trying to *insert whatever they said*"

He looks around them for a bit and focuses on me again. He mentions if I wanted to hang around with him sometime later on, and with this logic, I'm not so sure if an office is supposed to ask anyone to hang out when they're handcuffed. He stated how he has friends that drink, and I felt his logic was even more contradicting especially since I had a hunch that he arrests his friends for drinking as well.

I don't know, maybe it was just my dream emotions preventing me from conceptualizing a cohesive thought on what's actually going on with me and this guy talking. I forget what I stated to him, but whatever it was, he casually leaves and probably goes back to his duty.

I can't remember much to that dream seeing how I put off the recall for a day.

    6. Just a Misunderstanding

      by , 05-21-2013 at 05:15 AM
      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #97: Just a Misunderstanding

I'm walking down a dark, endless hallway. All I can make out in this darkness is that the left side of the hall is set up with this endless series of art tables down its length. I'm moving slowly, afraid that I'll run into something unexpected.

A woman jumps out at me from the darkness, teeth bared, and a raised knife clenched in her fist. I jump back, terrified, and try to gather my wits to fight or run. The woman's demeanor suddenly softens and she throws the knife onto a nearby table where it lands with a clatter. I look at it, and the knife is even more frightening-looking than I'd thought at first -- it's the shape and size of a short sword!

She smiles at me, promising that "This is just a misunderstanding." She walks past me and I see that she's wearing very revealing lingerie. She looks amazing and as she brushes past, my hand grazes the skin of her torso. My feeble mind offers no resistance. I bet it was just a misunderstanding... She grips the fingers of my right hand in hers, leading me behind her down the hall.

I'm very excited about what's going to happen next. But something just doesn't feel right, and I suddenly remember that I'm married. As soon as I start thinking about Wife, I feel weak, rotten, and guilty following this scantily-clad stranger down a dark hall. I yank my fingers out of her grip, and she just keeps walking, disappearing into the darkness ahead. What the hell was I thinking? How could I be so stupid? And it hits me that
this has to be a dream. I immediately feel grateful and relieved to have figured this out.

I'm someplace different now. Some kind of wood-panelled attic. It's dark and the picture looks a little grainy, almost like I'm viewing everything through night vision. There's a little toy fan on a railing nearby and I take it, turning it on. It's the kind with soft foam blades that are safe for kids. The fan blows a pleasant breeze in my face and I can will it to move faster or slower as I see fit. My hair starts blowing crazily around as I increase the wind speed.

I'm worried about overall stability in this scene, so I let the little foam fan blades buzz against my arm as they spin round and round. Then I run the little fan blades against the skin of my right cheek for a bit, surprised at how realistic this feels.

I play with the fan for a while as I hunt around the attic for some kind of interesting scenery or exit. There's a metal grating in the floor and a soft, white light is pouring out of it into the attic. The grating is slammed shut but I know that I can phase through it. I beging working up my will for a phase, thinking There's nothing there. Nothing at all. Before I can try the phase, though, the grating swings silently open. Well, that was easy.

I move toward the light, stepping into it and...
wake up, seeing that the light and grating was really just my eyes seeing a light outside our hotel room filtering through the blinds.

    7. Table Strapped

      by , 01-17-2012 at 06:37 AM
I had the craziest dream the other day, I can't find out what it means. All i know is it was so real. This had to be when i was in a deep sleep to about the time i was going to wake up. I remember waking up and turning my alarm clock off, and i went straight back to sleep. I was on a hard surface- pitch black, couldn't see anything, i couldn't move, and i heard a fan on the ceiling. not just a normal fan- but a rather heavy duty one, one made of a nice hard metal suited to last for a long time. I also heard my heart, beating very fast and loud. I also felt it- it hurt a bit, a sharper pain not a heart attack or nothing, but was simply too fast.I don't want to make the dream stop- but to find out what it means. Also- after waking up I didn't have any pain or anything, it just scares me. Is this a good thing, or bad? I'm no professional so i don't know how exactly to translate my dreams into meaning. As for my reasons behind not wanting to make them stop- maybe it means something and by getting further and further I'll find my answer.
    8. Yet another Lucid Dream

by , 09-18-2011 at 04:19 PM (It's all about Awareness.)
Here I am waking up from along dream after I went back to bed earlier this morning, I went to sleep and had a long dream like I said, Woke up after that and I felt like I couldn't open my eyes, So I drifted back into a dream. So I was in the dream, I was in a bedroom. I noticed something was off. I saw some water falling down a door that looked like a shower from when you take a shower. It was falling and everything. I was thinking something was off. So I didn't know if I should walk through it or not but I did it any way. I ended up in the living room and I noticed a glass table with game consoles sealed in it. I went up to it and saw my parents around. I felt soaking wet when I walked passed the water.

Any way. I noticed the glass table. I saw a purple PSP, it looked like a game boy colour. And something triggered me. I noticed. Wait a moment this is a dream! Then after that I begin to stabilize. Again with the hand rubbing technique. I got fully lucid. I saw my DC dad looking all mad at me, He got angry with me for no reason and came after me, He looked all pissed off, He tried to come after me, I got a Japanese fan with some rice in it. I tried to turn it into a sword but it didnt work, Instead it turned into a sword like stick. I got mad and when he was coming after me I told him I'm not afraid of you, He walked pass through me and I woke up. I woke up feeling with confidence and thinking wow this is really neat.
