It is rot 13. I want something slightly harder than a spoiler tag. If somebody really wants to see my dream "interaction with DC" details, it will take a few more clicks. I don't know, it's sort of silly, perhaps I should just return to spoiler tags.

Congrats on the long dream chain!

It took me a while to figure out what the scare quotes and dancing banana meant, lol.

I like that you took special interest in the ceiling architecture. I am always fascinated by those kinds of things IWL.

Obviously, I have. Mostly about everyday activities like watching movies or hanging out. not much to note. I once had a dream that Jimin became taller than RM, and everyone was so alarmed that they were contacting the police while Jungkook was hyperventilating in the corner. It was a very amusing dream. Haha. No, dream sign means for me something that repeats frequently in dreams. Yeah, that scenario is definitely dream-like, but doesn't repeat all that often, heh.

CH = Childhood Home, I should add that to the key

The [DS] might be handy, *steals it to use in my DJs aswell*

Though it's questionable you didn't put it after
I'm naked at "at attention" and I run outside with everything waving in the breeze
, implying you do that often in awake life?

Also, what's CH?

Just came to say that I also experience that sensation of the heart stopping when falling asleep lucid. First time it happened it was really scary, now I have even experienced it when meditating. It is the exact moment when the body "falls asleep" but the mind "forgets" to do the same and we feel consciously the body shutting down. The heart doesn't stop, but our mind stops feeling the body sensations, so it feels like the heart is stopping because essentially we stop feeling it. It's scary for the first miliseconds but then followed by immense bliss

It has taken me a LOT of inner work to reduce my stress levels and trauma memories.

Sounds like the dreams I used to have when under a huge amount of stress that kicked in my PTSD. Took a lot of inner work to clear that up. Stress is the killer of a good dream-life.

WBTB is one of the most effective ways to increase success. MILD is highly effective and beginner friendly (or returning veteran after a long time away).
Build strong intent, and adopt a critically reflective attitude towards your experiences in waking life. In short, *be* lucid in waking life, and lucidity in dream will follow.
Of course follow the standard advice: build dream recall, DJ, etc. It never hurts to re-read the first 3 chapters of ETWOLD. The ETWOLD approach is so effective that I think that's all one really needs to get back into it. Some people like SSILD, but I never found it worked for me. LDing is highly personal, experiment, and find what works for you. Good luck!

Mmh, that's unfortunate. I'm trying to get into LD'ing after not doing it for over a decade, but still unsure which technique I should settle on.

Hi Timothy P. Meh. I never really had much luck with SSILD. But I'm a difficult back-to-sleep-er -- any sort of thoughts tend to keep me awake.

Thanks to you, I looked up what "SSILD" is. I think I might give it a try. How is it working for you?

I am not recording at night. I recall during the night after each waking, and sometimes I try to refresh the list during subsequent wakings, assigning a title and or a visual image with each one to help remember them. So I try to keep a running list all through the night, accumulating new entries on each waking. The most detail is captured when recording upon waking, again at least summaries, but I'm not doing that right now. I generally record all that I remember in the morning, but it depends on how much time I have for DJing. In this case this is all I remembered about that one, but I think it was short anyway (it was an early waking). Sometimes I feel like really flushing out the writing to make it more of a narrative, sometimes I keep it in that "clipped" shorthand style, just to save time. Often I will quickly write like that to get down all the major important data, then revise to make it flow better, sometimes not.

Bunch of questions...
dark place narrow doorways, light switches, touch person (bandid?) hair, fear (Mex?). I feel for the light swtich just inside the narrow and slightly elevated (bottom higher than ground) door, find them, flip them (one works, one doesn't in the next entry way?) Feeling for the light switch in the 3rd(?) entry, my hand strays to below and beyond the hanging-open door which is to my right, and I touch a person's body/hair, it is soft/warm/living, and I'm frightened, I think this may be a bad person or part of a gang of criminals
Are you recording after every dream or you remember all this in the morning? Are you remembering only fragments of the dream or this is your writing system.

Narrow Doorway's my favourite dream thematic, Doorway's, Doorway's everywhere, corridor's of Doorway's. My most frightening semi-lucid nightmares and yet rather inspiring, love that feeling of adrenaline rushing down my spine like a cold river, after opening a door to see what is on the other side, just to see yet another door, deeper and deeper into the maze of my mind.
Maybe sometime I will wrote one of those down, but I must sedate my mind with some antiseizure drug, because I tend re-live the dream when I write him down including all the emotions of that particular time.
