    Nap Dreams

I have the strangest motivation to enter some non-lucid dreams from a nap I took earlier in the day. Nap dreams usually suck. It is now 1:00am but I have nothing better to do while I wait to feel the least bit tired.

I recall some odd appearance changes taking place while I was in the bathroom. I accidentally dyed my hair blonde and was worried my parents would flip if they saw it. I tried to wash out the dye by running the shower and to my surprise, it actually worked.

One of the odd things about the dream was that I was still my normal self, not my dream self.

I was in space. I could see the earth and the moon in the distance. I was with a space shuttle crew that was going outside on jet packs to explore an asteroid. The asteroid was fairly large and had an appearance very similar to that of the moon in the distance.

I remember the asteroid having a very small gravitational pull. The shuttle was about 500 feet above us hovering. I remember somebody jumped without using the jet pack and was able to jump all the way up to the shuttle.

There was an alternate part of the dream where I was in space between the moon and the earth and there were many little asteroids and the space station was also there.

For some odd reason there was a moment in the dream where I became at least partially lucid and thought of how this reminded me of another dream that I had years ago. I can't remember if I did actually have a dream similar to this years ago. I've been having these space exploration dreams all my life.

I had been a victim of some horrible accident (plane/space shuttle crash, possibly connected to the previous dream.) and lost my left arm and both my legs. Doctors were working to give me new prosthetic and had already replaced my legs with cheap bionics. Later, they planned to move to a prototype metal prototype that was very strong and durable and would interface with my remaining nerves.

They were doing all of this out of a secret hospital and not allowing me or the other patient, a much younger boy of about 12 who had lost all four limbs and some of his organs. We were out in this play-place behind the hospital that was more or less deserted. It seemed rather old and unused, but the doctors didn't seem to care what we did as long as we didn't injure ourselves further.

I was sitting on the swing with the boy talking about how now that my legs were artificial I wasn't going to be able to practice Taekwondo anymore. I was able to pump the swing and get it going, but I wasn't too aggressive with it since I still felt sickly, and only had one arm to hang on with. I had no left arm, not even a temporary prosthetic to hang onto the chain.

The dream began to morph to a park that exists near my neighborhood IWL. My parents were there and asked me what had happened to my legs and arm. I became a tad lucid.

There was much more to the plot about the lost limbs and the other boy.
