    1. Don Knotts Orders Tanks but Receives Yo-Yo

      by , 05-17-2016 at 11:17 AM
Morning of May 17, 2016. Tuesday.

Featuring as Gatekeeper: Don Knotts (actor, July 21, 1924-February 24, 2006). Here, he implies (and symbolically demonstrates) control of my transitory waking self, an essence of the Source.

In my dream, I am aware of Carole Cooke (Bessie Limpet) being Don Knott’s (Henry Limpet’s) wife in the “The Incredible Mr. Limpet” (1964 movie) role. Don has to go to the post office to get a couple packages, as he supposedly “collects tanks” and I first assume that this is what he will be receiving in the mail. Even though this seems an obvious reference to fish tanks (again, with regard to the “The Incredible Mr. Limpet” scenario) it is instead something to do with large older water towers and water (storage) tanks, or so I firstly assume (but I do not consider how large they would be or how he would have the space for them at his residence).

Eventually, I am at the Arcadia Post Office with Don (where I have not been in real life since the 1970s). He somehow absentmindedly ends up in the employee area behind the service counter. He looks very old at this point and the postal workers seem somewhat puzzled by his imposition on the wrong side of the service counter but they still allow him to stay and converse with them.

It turns out that, illogically, the “tanks” I expected him to collect from the post office are neither big nor even tanks at all, but seemingly yo-yos. He uses one behind the post office counter, but looks very frail and even unnaturally “shriveled” at this point yet he still seems cheerful and optimistic though otherwise oblivious to his imposition status. I get the impression that even though it is a yo-yo, or appears and functions as a yo-yo, it may somehow also serve as a kind of miniature storage tank (though this is not conclusive).

A post office represents messages between the dream self and the conscious self (with the gatekeeper here as an implied middleman). A yo-yo is a very rare dream symbol for me, but it represents potential lucidity relating to “up and down” control, that is, control of levels of awareness in the dream state, but here the gatekeeper seemingly has control of my level of consciousness. An aquarium or fish tank (though fleeting and vague in association here) otherwise represents a form of downsized dream-state induction and the outer layers of the unconscious mind.

    2. Youtube on microwave, an epic house fight

      by , 08-21-2012 at 05:49 PM (Exterminate)
      Two dreams again ._.

Casually watching youtube on the microwave

I remember watching on the microwave, specifically 2-3 videos on Nintendo 64 best games countdowns. I watch the last video, and my dad comes out to the kitchen, and I start talking to him about the Nintendo 64. He recognizes some game I have never heard of, then I remember the countdown hitting #2, then the dream ends.

I then see my dream friend wake up, and he is a bit depressed that he remembers none of his dreams the previous night. I then tell him what precisely happened in his dream, like I was a bystander or something.

      "Epic" house fight

Okay, so me, my brother, and my mom are at my grandparents' house, and I either have my psp, or my yo-yo with me. If it was my psp, it was dead, if it was my yo-yo, it had no string. Either way, I could not use either one, so I just had it in my pocket. Due to boredom my grandma suggests we go digging for something of which I can not remember. So we grab two quite heavy chairs, three small shovels, go into a van, and take off. We go up a mountain, but on the way up, we go around three corners, all of which have a lake next to them, you have to drive a bit into the water to get around and up.(Deja vu moment. Not sure if I dreamed of this place before, or what.) We end up at the top, and we see about 3 homes, and a lot of land. We put the 3 shovels in a soft spot in the dirt in someone's front yard, and I am sitting there wondering why we were doing this, and if one of us owned this land or something. My mom and I sit down in the heavy chairs, and wait two to three minutes, then grandma grabs one shovel and says "they need to be taken out like this, one jerk to the back, to knock the dirt out, but keep the ___(...Something. Don't remember what) in." So what is left on the shovel is what looks like granola bars, but I assume it is some vegetable. We do the same to the other shovels, and next thing I know we are back at my grandparent's home(Dream home, doesn't have the same appearance as the real one).

I look in the street and there are archers and swordsmen standing there, after something of which I do not know. They all sort of stand down, so we think we are safe, but as they start dispersing, one man who looks like Boromir from Lord of the Rings keeps his bow fired straight at me. He shoots it, and I dodge, running to the backyard.
A huge fight ensues, and I try to gather reinforcements. I see two cats with about 6 six kittens, and somehow know they will help. Oddly they were located behind a fence in the backyard, which had another fence behind it. I keep walking, and see some pigeons, I see them, say that we are in danger, they all fly off, but I think they are on our side. I think see a huge tree get up and start gathering bushes and other trees to help. The big tree reminded me of an ent. I see a pigeon, and hold on to it, it brings me way into the air, and drops me, I grab onto a nearby tree, and climb down. Then the dream sort of ended.

I do not think either of these as being fragment dreams, they were both pretty entertaining, I'd say my dream recall is getting much better
    3. The Yo-yo from the Totm

I had to get up early this morning to see a doctor because I hurt one of my toes and it got infected, so I only got ~5 hours of sleep last night.
After getting back from the appointment, I was just lying in my chair watching an online stream of someone playing SC2.
I was really tired, to the point where I was unable to really focus on the stream, plus my toe was still hurting which was annoying.
I just leaned back and started dozing off. I noticed the sensation of falling asleep and randomly decided that I'll try to WILD...

... I start seeing through my closed eyelids, I must have entered a dream.
I get up and notice that I was sitting on the couch, even though I was on my chair when I was awake. Weird.
I look at my toe because it is still hurting a bit, but the pain is different.
There is no longer a bandage around it, in fact, it looks perfectly healthy.

I investigate my aura and can clearly see that there are repairs going on in my toe region.
It looks really interesting, like broken stings that are webbing themselves together again.
I hold my left hand over my toe, summoning my phoenix wings, to see if I can somehow accelerate the healing process.
Some energy is flowing from my hand towards my toe, but in all honesty I have no idea what I'm doing.
Sure, I know that phoenix abilities includes healing, but I have no idea how to do it.

Not really sure what to do, I decide to summon Faye.
I call out her name, but nothing happens.
I realize that just calling out her name is not enough, I have to actually mean for her to appear.
I do it again, this time wishing for her to come to me, and she appears in front of me.
      She looks different yet again.

      "Hey!"
"Hi Hyu. I brought you your Yo-yo."

      Right! The Yo-yo!
She gives it to me and I look at it closely, touching the wooden surface.
It looks very simple and old-fashioned.

      "Does it do anything?"
      "Of course it does!"
"So, how do you use it?"
      "I suppose just like a normal Yo-yo."

      Makes sense.
I attach the string to my right middle finger and launch the Yo-yo towards the ground.
It remains at the bottom of the string, spinning wildly and making some noise.
Nothing special happens, which surprises me a bit.

"Huh? What does it do then, it doesn't seem to be special."
She replies with a serious attitude:

"Well, it spins Hyu. It spins."

I look at Faye. She starts laughing hysterically.

      "You're such a troll!"

      After that I wake up.
What's up with the trolling lately? oO
