2022-11-05 long night of dreaming! Many scenes, lots of fragments + church buys casino, it's Fr. Oleg's job to manage the parking garage, he takes out the garbage and I think this is an undignified job for a priest. Walk up the street, I need a medical procedure, I can't remember the word for the organ in [foreign lang], finally I remember, "kidney! <in f.l.>" I say. I need to take off my thin, blue casmere sweater, I start to take it off and can't get it off over my head, it gets stuck on my hat, and I need to put it back on in order to take off my hat. Fr. Oleg offer to help me but I shoo him off prefering to manage it myself. The people next to us are laughing at me, especially a woman, who says "need to take a pic of that and put it on the internet!" + I'm phasing through a series of doors leading into an office/building up a few stairs. This is an ability I know I have. (pre-lucid?) like 3 doors. "There is no door", I phase through easily. I think somebody may be following me. Then a loud waking sound shocks me awake instantly. + Walking into Wil. (B jr high) school, lots of B's, leave my dog outside on street? + First big snow outside, about a foot, it's hard to open the door, it will be our dog's first experience in the snow + Scheduling a meeting with someone. My "wife" is criticizing me that I'm too calm, I need to be more forceful, so I get very aggressive and call again, she praises me. I can feel how the anger is not the way I want to be. + Brief scene at a sleepover of attractive girls, they pose for a picture, I notice how hot they are + Girl on a jumpy slide in a leotard, her (mother?) and someone else sniff her private parts as she slides down, they conclude yes, she is stinky there. + Playing informal basketball with two guys in a fairly dark indoor court. Making shots, layups, the ball sometimes hangs on the rim before falling. I show I can jump and grab the hoop, this means I can dunk if I want to. + Playing with a rifle, young kid, older dark skinned guy in a corridor, I try to point the rifle at the older guy who is standing right up next to me, I can't since he's so close, so I lean over and put the rifle but down between my legs and point it at the guy and look at him and show that I can still aim it at him. Later, I squeeze the trigger (there's some thought about the trigger needs to be pressed for a few seconds before it will fire) and get off a shot at his head, which leaves a very small indentation on his forehead, he's looking right at me as I do this, I'm pretty close to him. + Standing with a dog and some people outside in a city environment on a sidewalk with some trees, quite busy street there are cars driving by, a sort of wild weird looking wolfman comes across the street, I don't want him to join us, but then an aggressive / annoying dog comes to us and he sort of distracts the dog. "Good," I think, "yes, take that dog away." I notice that on the street a car is turning left and heading right for us (I guess we're in the street), and I tell everybody to look out. A pretty good night of dreaming! No recall for first several wakings. Recall seems to start up around 4 hours and later on recent nights. Maybe because of the sleep-promoting supplements I'm taking
No sleep supplements at all, shorter night, but good recall across multiple wakings, some very vivid experiences: + car parked at work covered with colored, neon, animated chalk graffiti, stare at it along time, some (kid?) comes and wipes it off leaving a white/grey smudge + in traffic planning route through bad traffic, into parking garage, try to avoid scammy "helper" at the kiosk, but end up giving him a tip of a fistful of coins, a mixture of quarters and pennies + submarine/torpedo battle in a river + at former company N, eating chips on display in hallway, fill up a plate to take back to my cube, black CEO asks me about my kids, walk into a cube and past a bunch of engineers in open cubes bumping into them in super narrow hallway; standing in the kitchen looking out at the organization of break room tables + cutting and handing out wedding cake, discuss the sizes in grams, want to cut double sized for me & wife + at the fence of my property and neighbors, clothes are hanging, neighbors push open fence and come in, I want to weld it shut again; ice cream machine in operation, neighbors don't want to go with the workers
galantamine night, better/more recall but no lucids (but hey, I got back to sleep!) night theme: digging/ditches/ground depressions earlier: + waking in my outside bunk bed at the university early (4:45am?) while the students flock in to class; The beds are along a wall perpendicular outside a university building. In the distance to my right (my back is to the building, there are groups of students arriving for gym class I think. Then waves of students begin arriving to the building where my bed is. I think maybe a bus has delivered them. Among the throng ofpeople I see a high school familiar face [just someone I knew, wasn't friends], I remembered her as the short girl with the odd eyes/face. Also in the crowd one topless girl walks by and into the building. I'm standing a bit back from my bed/bunk, and I see my black backpack is slightly leaning over the concrete wall, I pull it back so it doesn't fall over. I'm thinking that I want to go inside the building to a bathroom and wash my face and brush my teeth, I may go in with a friend who sleeps nearby. + [mix 1st and 3rd person] I'm riding/observing a bike rider who makes miles high jumps from out of swimming-pool ground depressions, jumping from area to area several times, it's amazing how it works I think + [long, vivid] sitting at table outside with girl, on a patio/walkway outside a low apartment/townhouse complex, I bring out a surprise pie, then she brings out a surprise pie (one was sweet, one was savory), we want to find a room, since neither of us have a private room, we're walking around the area and think we're going to get use of a room in the area, but then I see another couple arrive and then more people, and think it will be hard to get the room now. But we get use of a secret staff room from a friend (older woman with grey hair?) which has a below-ground claustrophobic labyrinth entrance, very narrow between concrete walls, and a complicated door mechanism with bars and bolts that require two hands to operate. I finally manage to open it, and we walk inside, the room which is also a cafeteria with a long curved wall of windows/glass walls [DS], there's a hallway beyond and I want privacy, so I pull shut the sheer curtains, and think we should also turn out the lights, because if they lights are on they'd still see us through the thin curtains. People arrive and eat, I walk past the mojito stand, I think about mojitos and list the ingredients ("mint, soda, alcohol"), but I do not want to drink any it's too early in the day. Walk past a group of girls all dressed in color-coordinated PJs (tops and bottoms same pattern/design). + a friend calls me into the ditch he's digging, he moons me right up close, I see everything (he's a hermaphrodite), I think he's making a pass at me + Star trek dream, observe the Enterprise speeding out of the solar system at light speed, whizzing past planets (which are all yelllow). One view is a side view from very far away as it streaks past a yellow Jupiter: later: + riding a motorcycle up to a fuel/cake stand (the cake is the fuel), they want to sell me the Cinnabon with frosting but think the frosting will mess with the engine, I take away several to share with my wife and eat one as I leave + observing people disembarking from a low [night theme] dock, there are two ladders (I need to choose), thinking that the close one is dangerous/unstable, the people come up the near ladder, climbing all up at the same time and even on top of each other + riding a bike through a city-scape, on the lookout for bike thieves, enter a bookstore run by two odd small baby-men, they mention an animal nesting on the shelf running around the top of the store (I don't see it), I turn and leave, noticing a book on the right-hand wall shelf as I exit
2022-11-01: + walking to my car after (work? in a school?) I notice that some thugs back up their car directly in front of mone on the street (about 50 feet away from where I'm standing) and completely box me in, there was a car already on my rear bumper. I recognize it as a trap and turn around immediately and head back to my building, where I think I should call the police. While there (or before?) I'm trying to pick up a lot of different food/groceries and have trouble getting them all into my hands at once + on a bus heading down Ced. street at Euc. S2 (gets off)? starts walking down E + on a terrace at my (new place?) with L (wife) standing on the dock where it meets the river, looking into the clear water [DS!] I see a big shallow boulder right next to the edge, perspective shifts to standing in the river looking at the dock and I want to apply some red/white stripped hazard tape on to the dock to mark the location of hte large stone so that nobody tries to dive/jump at that point. While doing so I notice another very large shallow stone, and again want to mark off its location with hazard tape. I look across to another outside area along the water which is a rocky coastline, and a bear is there, I notice it is painting the wooden boards along the hillside and I think this is good but I had wanted to claim that area earlier to be ours. It moves into hailing position looking at me and I wave my arms and shout a greeting, it's now not a bear but a large rough looking man like Andre the giant, and he calls back that it's "good to exercise your quadraceps". I that there's no chance now to claim that area, it would be a conflict with that guy.
[quick entry placeholder, haven't transcribed the voice notes yet] + LD #271 DILD LUCIDD Infiltrate a lady's (gymnastics?) team practice, pretend I'm the maintenance guy for the building, they ask me things, I try to BS/put them off, brief ST, they catch on to me, and I make an escape, try to fly away but they're holding on to me, I mange to break away and get away
early: + I need to drive a large truck and trailer in reverse gear into a parking garage to (unload/load) some items with another vehicle on the other side of the garage. The cab is white and large and tall. I think this is a very large truck. I get up inside and begin driving, but the brakes don't seem to work [DS!!]. Next thing I know, I've backed up all the way up on to a hill outside (on a ski/snow hill?). + [vague] I was with my [deceased 1st] wife, [nothing else remembered] later: + swimming in a public pool. Walk out into the pool area, including a 90 degree turn to the left heading to the long, narrow pool area. I'm in the water and putting on mask (under water) [MEO #1]. I hear and see FrFshr, recognize his voice and his face, and I do not want to speak with him, I swim by him a couple of times and manage to avoid detection + LD DILD LUCIDD #272 in a large open area after coming in from an outside area talking with a group of young people [don't remember the opening/beginning part well]. People are walking around. See a very tall woman. I think unusually tall. I'm really amazed at the clarity and vividness and detail of the scene. I get lucid from the location being very vivid (and not waking). Confirmed with nose pinches. There is an information counter here and I ask for instructions to <something>. I have to ask several times as I don't hear/understand the answer from the woman sitting there. The instructions are to go downwards and inside. I take a flight of stairs down to a platform overlooking a huge open area below me, hundreds of feet below and spreading far and wide before me. I jump/float down to a middle level platform, and notice how I land feather-light on me feet, no jarring at all. I look over the ledge down to the next level very far below, lots of people are walking around down there. I jump down now as well to the bottom level, it's a really far fall but and I move fairly quickly down but land very very softly on my feet again. Look around, there are a lot of old people like old women, and I tsk at my dreaming brain for trolling me and not providing beautiful people. Find an attractive younger woman, engage with her, she's enthusiastic, dream fades [MEO #1] ... and then I'm back in the scene, at least semi-lucid, and look for some more people to interact with, find one, brief encounter, then the dream fades + Later: ST scene [MEO #2] Cartoony-style graphics + Some sort of team, we're in competition with them, in an outdoor but covered area with large (playground-sized) pipes running diagonally up to the roof. Someone asks me to perform, I (sneeze?) and feel a huge pile of snot land on my upper lip, I ask for a handkerchief to wipe it off, but my agent abandons me at this point and goes with the other team and will promote them instead of us, I feel betrayed
early: + putting on socks which turn out to be very wide, colorful, all-toe socks that look like a jester's hat; a group of people is going up an external, half-story elevator on a building later: + I'm arriving to a (new?) tennis club. There are people forming up into pairs to play. Up on a higher landing there is a giant who is severely deformed, he's looking for a game but nobody's playing with him he turns to leave through a door, I think that I should offer to play with him. Then we walk around a bit and I'm on a court with the giant. He's serving, and he does so by leaning over the ned and pounding the ball directly into my side of the court, I have no chance and I can't return any of his serves. It starts with me on the right side and trying to return forehand, then we move to the left side and I prepare to return backhand. I think when it's my turn to serve, what kind of serves I'll try to do. I see my [deceased 1st] wife trying to make a diving shot, extending her racquet out as far as she can and diving to the ground. There's a young woman there with a bottle of wine, I think all the people here drink heavily, the club is just an excuse to get together to drink. + attending astronomy class at university: I have an idea (talking to?) the prof, and I enter the classroom, up at the front, around where the blackboards are, I see through to the planetarium mechanism that he'll use to project the stars onto the ceiling during class. I take my seat and start listening, the prof though is not the one I expected, I think maybe they made a last minute substitution. But he's talking about subjects that are not astronomy and I figure out that I'm in the wrong room. There is a test going on where the answers to the questions is simply an indication of how much you like the question. I move to another room, at the entrance there are men's & women's restroom doors, I take the 3rd door which leads to a small classroom. There are students already sitting, there are not many seats available, and there are no pairs of seats available, so my friend JoTy (company 3) won't be able to sit with me. I sit next to a guy in an open seat on the aisle. I wave to my friend (don't really see him) to show him where I'm sitting. + young guys discussing bad luck practices in a crowded bar setting, me planning to say something in French, walk by Zelensky who says something briefly, I keep going + talking/walking with real estate professionals (they ask if I understand the "in/out" principle, I say obviously I understand the words "in" and "out"), they explain why they don't work with kids: it amounts to a litmus test question that must be answered before breakfast, and the test is administered in a small separate house.
Catching up on previous night's short sleep, just not enough energy to recall and record during the night. one scene clearly remembered: +[f] I'm telling my younger son (young in the dream) that he can go get his black/red rubber boots + [vague] some flying around an area outside + [vague] something happening in an indoor classroom
No supplements, to bed not too late (15 mins after preferred), big vivid waking around 5 hrs, that plus major life stress meant I didn't get back to sleep so I just got up about 1.5-2 hours early and lay on the couch with the dog waiting for it to get light outside. + I was simultaneously me and some other guy in bed with his/my wife, getting frisky, we're kissing, she falls out of bed and laughs about it, gets back up, then our daughter comes into room, we say we're just playing, she jumps into bed and says "I want to play, too!", I roll my eyes thinking no "fun" tonight + rotating the handle to close a 2-part skylight that was leaking in the rain; two dishwashers, they recommend to use the less-automated one with the round dish holder. The entire dish tray is circular like a large donut, it's a strange form factor. The more normal dishwasher had something wrong with it + a purple couple being frisky, I tell them about the birds and the bees, they say "well THAT would have been good to know earlier!" and pull out a string of their (purple) kids from underneath the bed, I get frisky with the woman, this goes on for quite a while, it's pretty good + frisky time [detect the theme for the night?] with another woman who's in a room with some other men, then we're sitting around in a group talking about how it went (MEO 2022-09-25) +[f] there is blood on a crane, and it has turned blue + strategizing about how to defeat an enemy using advanced technology in the form of a car, and the enemy comes and steals the car + a pile of small, odd, round-ish gray devices on a wall, they are computer chips embedded in some sort of solidified powder + former work place, meeting with people sitting around a large table, meeting head says something like "and what about status from A, B, <myname>," my [former] manager who is sitting with me away from the table says "oh, he [me] is off the project, now 'Dale' is handling that", I wonder about this 'Dale'. I think Dale is a woman, and probably of Indian decent, I wonder how talented she is (I assume pretty good to be working there)
Tried 400mg L-theanine and 1g L-tryptophan at bedtime. Was in bed from around 22:30 to 07:50, a record for recent months, almost 9 hours! I usually estimate about 30 minutes of time awake in the night, meaning about 8.3 hours sleeping. Interestingly, there was very little dreaming that I recall. + writing with a pen that changes colors as you write + talking with musicians, that I play <main instrument>, but used to play trombone in 4th grade, and I could even hit a high "G" note at that time, the trombonists responded and said that's pretty good + [vague] with people in rooms, like a hostel, something about beds, bed sizes, and bedspreads later: + taking pics, someone comes to and demands to see what I've taken
Late to bed, unavoidable due to fun evening activities . the range of 06:00 - 06:30 is converging on being a natural wake time. Drowsiness is pretty much gone by then, and the mind kicks in. Works well if I can get to bed by 22:30 + In a sort of hub area in the center of an area with a lot of rooms around the periphery. I'm reading an electronic sign to try to see which room our commando team needs to storm to get the bad guys. I'm having trouble reading the screen, something about "34?" Then I see a clear "20" and I should out "It's 20! Go! Go! Go!" + In a bar, sort of half outdoors, low-class, like build of barrels, dirty, there is a guy from T-5 (Mon. Sal) there. I/they say something? + walking in a cave, I come to a point where the path rises up, curves to the left, goes back down, then turns to the right around a corner. From the top of the rise I look down and see some equipment, it is either a sensor or an automated weapon turret or a combination of both, and I know these are from the enemy. I quickly draw back down around the corner so I'm not in line of sight of the turret. I ponder taking another peek around the corner at the thing again (maybe I do, quickly?)
Variety pretty good across a number of different wakings Starting to scratch down quick notes in the dark before returning to sleep, even a word or two helps remember the dream (but not all the detail, alas) + Halloween decorations at my childhood home, including a "joke" bottle-through-the-window that I laughed at and asid "oh I get it", also there were a ton of large inflatable ghost balloons all over the place, I tried to move one from my room to my parent's room, but the entrance to their room was blocked by the things, so I put it in my sister's room, where my son was now staying, and I wondered what he thought of that. + beach map show where 's good to swim, [deceased] 1st wife shows where they were, I show where I was, where it's good to swim, and that I happened to go along that route searching for the place that she said was good + lion room the large male squeezes through to next room where our dog is, Lena goes there to save him, leaving me in the lion rom, I'm standing against the wall and hope they won't eat me + meat party, I smell the meat, I say "smells delicious", the womean like this their men usually don't giv ecomplements, slicing the eat, see the fat and lean, they show how to separate it, "if you eat this you'll never get hungry" + "get the (bike?) from the car" means from the way back under the floor board, some man smiles and shakes my hand? Ken (actor Seth Rogen) from Freaks & Geeks eats my little green habanero from my plant, I sday "uh, that's a habanero" then I see the plant see the peppers up close they're starting to shievl I don't know if that means if they're dying or getting ripe, notice that most of thesoil is out of the pot, need to add it back Then I see the ripe peppers and try them , brown chilinders, taste like chocolate, there are orange parts too, I run to other part of room to tell peopel that my peppers are raedy and taste like chocolate! In a room with some late teen boys, one is playing with lego, he is reluctant to go to school (universyity) because it means leaving home, I tell him "it's ok, it's only like 2 blocks away, and yo'll have fund there, learn neat things, and meet girls, and can always come back to see your lego final: group of kids loading up, the "cool" group wants to stay togethem you can't serve fresh halloween candy to kids these days, I tsk tsk and quietly think to myself, as the (mom?) shows a tray of fresh hallooween candy that she plans to serve to the kids
experimenting with night-time blind keyword recording on paper, since voice recording is out of the question now (wife). Seems to help recall earlier dreams that have faded over subsequent wakings. 2022-09-19 + on an airplane, it's coming in for a "landing" via vertical nose dive straight to the runway with lots of banking; in ground transport with my group, I'm trying to count my luggage, my green backpack is missing + driving on a road, crazy drivers are always cutting me off , they're driving at odd angles, at some point I sort of chuckle "there goes another one!" [almost on the edge of the idea that this could be a dream?] + at a (youth?) hostel, the door is locked, and people both inside and outside are waiting for the manager to unlock it; inside, I go through reception, (I ask about my green backpack?) + See deceased dog, young, bright copper color, on a driveway outside in twilight, some patches of snow on the ground, wife mentions that I am on retreat; see my old car (toyota or ford) parked across the street + At home, there is a massive flood on my floor, the water runs out and down to lower levels, all the way to the neighbor's, they complain; I get furious [DS] at a young (renter?) and demand they leave; two other young guests perform a "poopy head" joke with poop in a box, I yell at them to leave + observe/playing a pool/billiards game 2022-09-20 earlier: + With deceased 1st wife, outside, I'm "skating" in my shoes on patches of ice on the pavement, back and forth; she gets out her skis and hops down onto the frozen river, it's doesn't look good to me, too wavy, and exposed water; some guys are tumbling around in a room + I'm high on a cliff/wall overlooking a large body of clear water (lake/ocean), I'm planning to jump down, I'm scanning for rocks/obstacles, and plan my jump to land in a sufficiently deep area; get out of the water, and (eating chips?) later: + Arrive in a cafe with lots of people, we're meeting a (realtor? finance advisor) there, a woman sitting on a couch, one of two, looks up to us, we greet; she advises that a particular piece of paper is all we need to establish ownership of our property, and "you can use it for escrow or future needs", I'm a bit surprised by this + Walking in the aisle between cubes at work [DREAMSIGN big time], in one cube a guy is working with multiple screens/computers, and I think that's because he's testing a lot of different graphics cards all at once + [f] twilight, something about a football game [DS]
+[f] something about women and documents at work? Final waking: + I'm on a high place outside in daytime, looking down upon a street that is lined with tall trees. There is a man there standing by the open trunk of his car and I know he is up to no good. I fly down parallel to the sidewalk away from him in order to circle around clockwise over the street and film him and catch his license plate. My [deceased] 1st wife is sitting in a car that I fly over, she either tells me not to interfere or I tell her. I'm hovering over the street about 20 feet in the air trying to get a clear shot of the man's license plate on my cell phone, which I'm using to video the scene. Trees are interfering with getting a clear shot as I fly past. Then (later?) I'm telling my sons to get into and start the engines on our several cars that are parked on the street in front of the "bad man." As we move from car to car, about the 3rd car, a man driving a beat-up white van backs from a driveway or side street onto the street just in front of our car, and I'm a bit annoyed about this. + [vague] something about me and my sons being in trouble? + [vague] something about my stocks going up?
