    1. Used colouring books, joining the CSI team, and Piccolo failing at life

      by , 06-16-2015 at 03:26 PM (Mouka's Mind Palace)
Cory and I went to some thrift stores to buy a gift for my brother. I think there was someone else there with us, but I can't make out who it was. We were browsing the books, and I'd found an old full length mirror I liked and was carrying it around with me. It was huge so when we got to the books I had to set it down so I could help browse. The friggin mirror wouldn't stay upright and kept falling over on me, so I got pissed at the thing and leaned it up against a bookcase that was filled with nothing but Dean Koontz novels. I laughed thinking that his books sucked so much people were falling over themselves to give them away to a thrift store. After I put the mirror down, I went over to a shelf that was filled with colouring books, and it seemed weird that you could buy used colouring books. I opened a few, but they were surprisingly uncoloured. There was a sudoku puzzle in one of them that had one number somebody had filled in. I guess they gave up pretty quickly? After that, I picked up a super old colouring book, that was so old the pages were browned. It had lots of pages of animals that looked like the cartoon animals in movies like An American Tail and such, and Cory walked over and saw it. He commented that it reminded him of the TV show Dallas, which made no sense whatsoever but in the dream it made perfect sense. In the end, I grabbed a big handful of them and said that would be one of my brother's gifts. A handful of colouring books... awesome gift, I guess? We got in the car, me in the passenger seat, and I put all the books in the dashboard slot where I usually kept my phone and iPod. The book on top caught my attention and weirded me out. It was a Lisa Frank book, all colourful and girlish like Lisa Frank books are apt to be, but... it was overly Christian. The title of it was something like "Christian children become one with God at the end!" and I was just like... WTF? I remember thinking that it was wrong, and that since God was loving, He'd let everyone in no matter their religion. Then I had this weird feeling of fear and realized I was kind of an asshole so maybe I'd never get to do that when I died. Then we drove off to the next thrift store to look for more gifts.

Mom was hanging out with me at the grocery store while I went shopping for food. The store was kind of neat looking, like the walls and floors were made of old wood, and the display cases were made of logs and sticks and stuff. It was very quaint Southern style. Mom was super excited to see me, and she just kept talking the whole time even though I was trying to concentrate on getting food... which required a boatload of concentration apparently. The whole time I was there, wheeling my cart through the aisles, I was incredibly stressed out over a situation involving a lack of money. I think I was afraid I couldn't afford the groceries? Weird. I was hoping mom would feel sorry for me and pay for them. We passed through the bakery aisle, which is where the bulk of the dream took place. There were so many delicious looking things there! I eventually picked out these red velvet whoopie pies and placed them in the cart. But they were so good looking that I just popped open the box and started eating them there in the store. And oh my gosh, THEY WERE THE BEST WHOOPIE PIES EVER. They were so soft that I just could not even. I just couldn't even, bro! But yeah, they were so soft that it was hard to pick them up, I'd grab one and it would break into four pieces and so I'd just eat that one piece. Somewhere along the way, I grabbed a food that I can't remember now, but it looked weird so I thought it had gone bad. There was a string hanging out of it, so I pulled on the string and it slowly came out. But it was super long! It kept coming and coming and we were both so amazed and grossed out by how long this string was. After it was out, it was all slimy and gross so I threw it on the ground.

I either woke up in this room or walked into it, but there were CSI guys wandering around everywhere and two bodies surrounded by police tape. When I walked in/woke up, friggin Sara Sidle from CSI came over to me and was annoyed that I hadn't gotten there earlier. Apparently I was part of the CSI team and didn't realize it, but then it hit me and I remembered that I was. We went to look at the bodies and she told me they'd just gotten married. Poor couple. So I was helping out, taking photos, dusting for prints, and such. At one point, Sara came up to me with what looked like a handheld mat cutter, minus the razor, and told me that they'd failed to get the prints off it, but it was the most important piece of evidence so she wanted me to take it to get retested. So I took it, but then I freaked out because I'd touched it without wearing gloves. I took it to the prints lab, which was Wendy who was the prints girl from the show. I was stuttering and embarrassed that I'd touched the evidence without gloves, and she was slightly annoyed but okay with it. She said she'd just rule out my prints.

I was hanging out at the Kame House (I think it was anyway, since some of the Z Fighters were there) and we were all anxious because something bad was going to happen. Like a bad guy was going to show up or something. I remember definitely Krillin, Master Roshi, and Piccolo were there. When night came, we all came to the consensus that Piccolo would stand watch, since he's always standing around staring off at nothing anyway. He was pretty disgruntled about it and wouldn't even speak, but he was okay with it. So we all went to sleep while he stood there. I think I was sleeping on either the floor or a futon, but we were all sleeping in the same room, and I had a super-comfy blanket and a calming skylight over me, and Piccolo would totally never steer us wrong so I felt pretty at ease. The next morning we woke up and whatever bad thing we thought would happen wound up happening (Ugh, I wish I could remember what the thing was...) and we were shocked as hell that Piccolo hadn't been able to stop it, or at least woken us up. What a dick.
    2. Realities

Nick, Catherine and Warrick were working on case. Things were going well until a massive, neon white flash of light erupted over the area. The next thing they knew they were in an area that looked remarkably like Orton Centre and their bodies were completely different.

Nick was now a young blonde lad in his early twenties and stuck in a wheelchair. Catherine had aged considerably and put on a lot of weight. She too was in a wheelchair. Warrick was the least affected - he had just reverted into a teenaged version of himself.

Together they roamed around the area, trying to work out what was going on. After a while Nick wandered off and when Catherine and Warrick found him he was dancing in a club.

"How is he staying upright?" Catherine asked.

"That guy he's with is holding him up", Warrick replied.

Eventually they got Nick out of the club and back onto his wheelchair. The scene then changed to show Alexx from CSI Miami wandering round a large room with their real bodies lying in a comatose state on some metal tables.

"So how are they?" asked a voice whose body was hidden from view.

"Well they have no idea that their minds are in a separate reality to their bodies", Alexx replied. "I have no idea if and when they'll wake up".

Then the scene changed back to the others, who were sat together on a bench. Nick and Catherine were asleep but Warrick was awake and looked worried. They never did get back to their own reality because I woke up before they could.

    3. Sheep Pants

by , 05-03-2012 at 06:37 PM (Dream Tales)

I was a member of CSI, analysing a crime scene in the warehouse of a nameless store in Town. The body was gone but Warrick, Nick and myself were scoping for evidence. Nick was in a wheelchair and Warrick appeared to be in charge as Grissom was nowhere in sight.

Suddenly the doors burst open and a man ran in with blood all over his chest. He collapsed in front of me and as I stared I heard someone call for an ambulance. Seconds later Nick and Warrick arrived, hauling a stretcher between them. The man was placed onto it and then the pair made to take him away. Nick's parting words to me were to go find the suspect and try to get some evidence from him.

The 'suspect' just so happened to be Greg.

I saw an image of him leaping from the top of an insanely tall skyscraper, plummeting downwards for several seconds before releasing his black, circular parachute to drift safely to the ground.

Meanwhile I had now arrived at HMV. I stepped inside and suddenly Greg was with me and we were examining a shelf of novelty pants.

"I want that one, that one and that one", I said in an Andy Pipkin voice, pointing to three pairs of pants with WWE's Kane depicted on them.

"Noooo", said Greg. "You want that one, that one and that one".

He pointed to three more pairs, one being pastel green with little sheep all over it. I couldn't help but laugh.

"You know", I said, "Nick is gonna be mad with me".

      "Why?" Greg asked.

I opened my mouth to tell him how he was supposed to be my suspect but at that moment Warrick appeared behind us.

      "Uh...you know what?" I stammered. "I gotta go know. I need to...collect...evidence".

And I scuttled out of the store.

"Hey!" Greg yelled after me but I was already long gone.

Or so I thought anyway. As I rounded a corner I found myself back outside HMV only it had somehow morphed itself into a furniture shop.

"There you are!" came Greg's voice from behind me.

I turned round to see him drifting gently to the ground. He was in possession of a certain pair of pants.

"You got the sheep pants", I stated incredulously.

"Yup", he said with a huge grin.

I shook my head with a smirk and together we set off down the street. Eventually we ended up outside an electronics store that was loaded down with games consoles.

      "Shall we?" Greg asked.

"Lets", I replied and we stepped inside.

The first call of business was having a go on the Nintendo Wii. Even though I protested I was crap at it I still beat Greg at the racing game we played. Then we moved on to the Playstation 2, though it wasn't plugged in. Greg moved to set it up and ended up unplugging a video player.

"Watch it!" the guy at the till warned. "You break my stock you buy it".

Greg and I nodded in a way that suggested we really didn't care and I continued to wait for him to set up the Playstation whilst browsing the games.

"Wallace and Gromit's Big Rabbit Adventure?" Greg said in a questioning tone when he saw what I was looking at.

"It's a good game", I defended. "I loved the film".

Greg shook his head. "So what game do you wanna play?" he asked.

"How about Sonic the Hedgehog 2?" I suggested.

He nodded but just as he finally got the playstation going and the title screen appeared before us I woke up and we never got to play.

    4. Tandems To Texas

by , 04-26-2012 at 09:28 PM (Dream Tales)

I was on a dusty street with Gibbs and Tony from NCIS and Grissom from CSI. I fancied the pants off of Tony and was thrilled when I got to ride a tandem with him. Gibbs and Grissom got on another one then we all set off for Texas. When we arrived we were at a ramshackle wooden house in the middle of a Western looking desert landscape.

Everyone around me vanished and suddenly I was a CSI. I entered the house and found Nick waiting for me. He handed me some gloves and told me to check the sink for evidence.

I managed to find something but the gloves had become tangled and I couldn't get them on. Nick helped me sort them out but before I could collect the evidence I woke up.

    5. 7/26/10 CSI takes a Twist

by , 07-28-2010 at 09:19 PM (WarriorTiger's Visions of Misconceptions)
I decided to try and meditate every night before I went to sleep. This was night one, and I discovered that I was better able to remember my dreams when I woke up. Of course this dream was also nightmarish so I'm not sure if it counts.

I am watching TV on the top bunk of my bunk bed. It was CSI:LV. I had put some magazine on the floor and my mom was yelling at me about them. The cat was eating them, because they were paper. I laughed it off. I really didn't care. My dog, Chewy couldn't get up the top bunk, and it was nice to have him not up there for once. My mom cleaned up some of his poop on the floor, and was yelling at Chewy for it. My show was coming to an end.

In the show they were discussing a woman who's lower jaw had begun to shrink up. Her face was going in and she was crazy too. She wanted to see Gil Grissom while he was undergoing surgery. Sara was there and saying to Gil, that everything was going to be fine. The crazy woman, was just watching them. She had a worker there to hold her in case anything happened. Sort of a psychiatric nurse. She attacked the nurse, knocking her unconscious, then grabbed the needle that was full of anesthetics.

Grissom was not in that room, he had vanished, and Sara was there because of a case. She was leaning over a dead body when the attack came. She never stood a chance. The crazy lady had taken her off into the woods and was making a makeshift grave. She was burying Sara alive. Sara woke up and could see just the last of the rocks being placed over her.

Warrick, Nic, and Catherine were all working the case. Apparently the crazy lady had made her jawline shrink and it was a style that some women were trying to do. No one could believe that she did that to herself. Catherine was about to go out into the field when Gil burst through the doors. He demanded that he be allowed to work the case. However he had already retired and after Catherine said no the screen faded to black.

I was really cold, so grabbed another blanket. It was time to go to sleep so I put my head on my pillow and began to drift off. I could hear Sara's voice from CSI. She was whispering that she needed help. She was there as I was trying to fall asleep, whispering in my ear. It was almost like she was a ghost. I squeezed my eyes shut. I didn't want to hear it. I was breathing very rapidly when...
      I woke up.

It was very surreal to wake up in the lower bunk. I did grab my cell phone and begin writing dream notes down, but still had a lingering feeling I was missing something. I decided to to a nose pinch RC and I discovered I really was awake. I finished typing the notes and tryed to get into the CSI show when I went back to sleep. I can't remember anything except trying to save Sara.
