      I don't quite remember the first part of the dream, but it ended with me in a cinema theatre ready to watch something. There must have been some form of social event or social club involved. I do remember a flash image of the outside of a building in the cold. Before it had completely ended, another film was scheduled to start; to see it, we'd have to usher ourselves out and into another theatre apparently popular with weed smokers. We were going to watch a second, cult classic film there. I don't remember actually seeing it.

      Instead I ended up somewhere I thought I knew from a photograph posted on an online forum. Perhaps conforming a geeky origin, each seat had a sticker with the nickname of a previous class member or else a character quirk poking fun at them (e.g. I think a few seats were labelled 'anime nerd'); notably, I recognised one of them (in the dream) as someone's user handle. I remember, as people milled around, someone commented that a guy's 'discussion quality' was high enough that he should have been accepted into the club, but alas have not yet been. This was a workshop of some sort for teaching purposes. I'd thought it was the one I'd seen an image of earlier on the internet, even maintaining this when asked what I was thinking, but changed my mind upon seeing the wholly wooden floor, since I also remembered a grey part.

      It turned out I was let into some sort of society's meeting. Like a debate club, but it was for polite discussion about light intellectual topics. Unusually, I was talking to people through the medium of speech and could actually hear my own voice, as opposed to using 'dream telepathy'. The speakers were a very varied group, and included Stuart Hameroff, the 'quantum brain microtubules' proponent. Some of the topics included ecology, evolution, the fate of the universe, 'haemoglobin-induced light hallucinations', and the amazing light contrast of either someone's laptop screen or the room in general (a lovely starscape on their desktop background!). The spotlight passed to me shockingly often, even when I didn't have much to say. Those latter two topics caused me to see images radiating brilliant, crystal-clear white light (e.g. white text on starscapes and nebulas) - incredibly vivid. Then the dream ended with a short debriefing, an image of a website giving a glowing review of my character and saying I was 'gatekeeped at Schmooze Island'.

      Note: I am pretty sure these places are physical representations of the internet itself; the dream may be commenting on how both random geeks and famous people have blogs on the internet, allowing everyone to interact. The 'Schmooze Island' stuff is probably a reference to the Pencilsword comic about privilege, which I'd seen passingly the day before. I don't recall any emotional content during or after the dream, despite more social dreams seeming to have more of that.

    2. False Awakening

      This is gunna be shorter because I accidentally deleted it all,and I'm too lazy to re-type everythihng again.
      I'm at last night's Democratic debate, but the candidates aren't there, in their place are two sets of three kids that are going to speak. I'm wondering if kids can really go up there and act like politicians. When they start speaking, the people in the audience star chanting "really" and the moderator throws two pieces of candy to the people in the audience. When I leave, I see my grandma and my old music teacher. I start running away from my music teacher (because I hate her) and then turn around and go back to my grandma.
      False Awakening:
      I wake up and do my usual morning routine: eat breakfast, unload the dishwasher and blah blah blah. I am really excited because I am thinking that today school will be canceled, so I keep checking the school website. I think that school is canceled because of a post I see on the school website, but I realize that it actually says something about "pigs and "1008" 1008 is apparently the year of when it was posted, so I was wondering if my school was THAT old.
      Anyways, we still have to go to school, so my mom is driving me and my sister to her friends house to pick her up. We have to pick up her two sisters too, both of which are wearing gymnastics leotards. I am wondering why we are picking them up now, because I thought we were going to get them during the summer time. (In real life we're planning a trip with her in the summer)
      Quick note: I was just realizing that ever sense I have bee working on having LDs, my dreams have become more realistic, AND I am questioning unrealistic things that happen in them.
      Finally for once, I don't have a dream about my fish!!!!

      I was in front of the entrance to my school's athletic center; this entrance consisted of two large double-doors painted a pale turquoise, against drywall that was painted a very light beige. Vending machines were on either side of the doors (not the case in real life). If you were to exit the athletic center and into the hallway (where I was standing), and turn right, you'd get to an open flight of solid stairs.

      The lighting in the school was dimmer than normal. I could see people walking up and down the stairs, and past me too. I didn't recognize any of their faces, which I could've sworn were kind of blurry.

      I did recognize one person, however - I saw my friend walk up to me and say, "what are you doing? Come on!"

      "What do you mean?" I asked. I was very confused. But for some reason, then I suddenly knew what was going on. "Ugh... What time is it?"

      "Eight".

      She must have meant eight at night, because I felt somewhat tired and was thinking about how I just 'wanted to go home for the night'. Not to mention, the lights were dim and that only happens when the school is closing down for the night. I whined, "I don't want to stay and volunteer for the debate."

      Yesterday I was having a dream about some guy interviewing me for a job I didn't want and was not qualified for.
      Anyway...
      I slipped into a passive observer mode (POM). I have never been able to do anything to mess with a dream in POM. Soon some guy crawled on his hands and knees over to another guy looking at his crotch. I was NOT going to watch this! It is time to end this dream but I was in the POM. Then I started to debate whether I should be aware that this is a dream! This lasted for a few seconds then I thought about the paradox about asking myself in a dream, if I should be aware if this WAS a dream! I woke up thinking WTH was that???

      Now I am fully convinced the pressure and trickery to not be aware is in our minds, or at least mine, and thats where the work needs to be done. It's not biological or "natural", it seems like it is some kind of learned dream psychosis. The only other place in our lives where this kind of self imposed amnesia or self deception is used is when there is something too traumatic for us to consciously confront. Even this trama would have to be healed and the "sufferer" ultimately has to confront what they are hiding. Well at least I know who the man behind the curtain is now, it me.
