Notes:
I'm still going through one of those really long dryspells.
Each dream that I have right now, it's always one of the following.
- No lucidity.
- Low lucidity.
- Lucidity with poor control.
- Lucidity with dark vision.
It's getting on my nerves.
Have another good lucid already!
So, this dream started with me being in an outdoor setting. It was sometime in the afternoon; the sky reflected this because it was slightly darker. I was sitting under a long, rectangular stucco gazebo. It was chocolate brown in color and had windows all around the sides, like a miniature single-room house. There was one white door that led to a very short path, and then parallel to the gazebo was a two-lane road. There were houses surrounding both the gazebo and the road, like a neighborhood.
In the gazebo (which was darker than outside, because it casted shadows and there were no lights on) was a huge cream and light brown area rug; it took up most of the floor space so I couldn't see what the flooring itself looked like. Against one wall was a long beige couch, one of those suede ones. I was sitting down on this couch.
I knew that I was expecting one of my friends to return anytime with a cup of Starbuck's coffee. Although in real life I hate everything Starbucks, apparently I begged her excessively to run to the place and get me something. She returned, opening and closing the door to the gazebo, and walked inside. She gave me a white foam cup with the Starbuck's logo on it. I thanked her, taking the cup.
Then she told me that I owed her a trip to Starbuck's some time over the next few days, for the favor she just did for me. I told her, "why not now? Let's go." And without waiting for her answer, I started to walk towards the door, and I heard her beginning to follow me. When we got outside, it was much darker, so I decided to postpone the trip.
"Tomorrow," I told her.
With that, I became lucid and confirmed the dream state by attempting to push my finger through my palm, having forgotten the nose reality check at the time. As always, I needed to make a bit of an effort to get it through, but I managed. I tried to summon at least five different people, none of them to any avail. I then just decided to take things easier than normal and walk around, exploring the dream world. I looked back at the gazebo and observed the wood. It was extremely realistic, and when I ran my hand over it, I could feel the tiny strips of frayed wood on it.
I also observed that the whole scene had a slight "bloom" effect to it. Bloom effect is like a very subtle glow.
