    1. Dioramas and Rooster Tails

      Dioramas

I was a prince of some fantasy country, and there was a celebration for my family. I was the oldest son, and we all had to participate in this ceremony where we face ourselves. We were all sitting on our knees, Japanese Tee Ceremony style, on some pillows. Next to me, the floor opened up. It was dark, and the hole had a part that looked like it was stairs, and a part that seemed to go straight down. I thought it would be too easy, a trick, to go down the easier looking stair-like part, so I lowered myself down into the unknown, through the plain hole. My feet soon touched a platform, and I lowered myself lower so my eyes could adjust to the darkness. I kept lowering myself to platforms on the walls of this square-shaped vertical tunnel. It was a little like a well, but square-shaped.

I saw a point of light at eye level at some point, and I moved my head to get perspective and pinpoint where it was coming from. I leaned on the wall, and it moved. I realized I could slide the walls to either side; It opened the hole a little more, and so I slid another wall a few feet until there was a hole big enough for me to get through.

When I got through the hole, I was in a room that looked like it went around the original well-like tunnel. There were dioramas that moved lining the walls. You had to pump them or something to get them to move, but they were devices I was familiar with and fond of, so I knew how to use them all. They were all scenes from my life. I followed the room all the way around until I got to the diorama of this day, and was a little bit surprised and scared to see that there was one more diorama after it. When I mustered the courage to look at it, it was simply the garden with a piece of a stone wall missing. But it still bothered me somehow.

I went back up to the surface and told my family about my experience, and how the missing wall really bothered me. The foreboding feeling had grown since I'd seen it.

I think there was something about an uncle betraying us or something after that.

      Rooster Tails

I was at an entrance of a building that was on a lake. There were platforms to jump out onto, and I jumped to one, and it moved away from the building a foot or two. There were eels or something, maybe some huge catfish, in the water, and something making rooster tails in the water next to and around me. I kept jumping to new platforms, each one moving further and further away from the building, until there were no more platforms I could jump to. I was afraid of whatever was making the rooster tails in the water (think that scene from the Princess Bride with the man-eating eels)
    2. iPhone Induced Lucid Dream! IILD

      by , 11-12-2014 at 03:06 AM
Last night I had an IILD! Btw, don’t Google that one, I'm playing off DILD! I had another fishing dream where I caught a 4 foot long Mahi Mahi. I wanted to take a picture of it, so I pulled out my handy dandy iPhone. Instead of taking a picture, the iPhone acted like a projector. It projected a picture onto the wall beside me. When I turned the iPhone off, the picture was still on the wall! Very cool! The picture was printed onto the wall by the iPhone. There was one problem, the picture wasn’t straight, and so I raised my hand and straightened it out by simply waving my hand at it. I knew there was no way my iPhone could do this, and I certainly couldn’t straighten a picture out by waving my hand at it. Lucid again! I pulled my iPhone out and showed my cousin how it could print pictures onto a wall with it. My cousin was very impressed with this. I then decided to go for a flight and see if I could find my daughter, but instead I found my mom.

I flew up into the sky to go search for my daughter. It was beautiful, sunny, summer day. The sun was reflecting off the lake, causing it to dance with light. I came in low over the trees, and discovered I was in my home town, and then I flew down my parent’s street. A dream character stopped on the street and stared up at me. Her face seemed to come straight at me momentarily through a cloudy gray fog. She was an old woman and she gave me a look like, what the heck are you doing now? I flew past her and landed on my parent’s front yard. I walked into the back yard where I found my sister and mom. I first went to my sister and patted her on the shoulder and told her I loved her. She told me she loved me too. The dreaming was starting to fade, and I should have done something about that, but I just wanted to hug my mom, so I quickly headed over to her. She smiled brightly, and before I could hug her, I woke up. Next time I’ll stabilize and not be so rushed.

Oh, I had another lucid dream last night, just before this one, where everything was dark and gray. There was no color. I don’t remember why I was lucid, it just seemed to happen. I was going around turning gray leaves green by pouring water on them. I was explaining to a dream character how the leaves are green in the waking world. He said it never rains here, and then he started to cry. I started to cry too because I could feel his deep sadness. There were tears pouring down my cheeks as I walked away from him, and then I lost lucidity, and I continued dreaming.
    3. Botched WBTB 2: electric boogaloo

      non-dream dream lucid

I was looking forward to this morning. Really was.
Made an improved alarm clock, with louder volume, and a reality check reminder (with 10 sound clips firing randomly every 30 minutes).

Even cleaned off my bed and tried laying on my back for an SSILD.
And that's when things started to go bad.
At first, my bed wasn't that clean even after I'd wiped it off, so I still felt like I had dirt on me.

And then I had an upset stomach, so it was very hard to concentrate on anything.
So I decided to go to sleep.

So I end up waking up like 2 hours into the 4 hour clock, and everyone else in the house is starting to wake up in ernest so there's loads of sounds.
Ended up staying up for 30 minutes or so, so this should be an ideal WBTB.
Since it's waaay too late for FILD, I try SSILD again.
It's actually pretty interesting, I actually get to the point where my hands and feet feel really heavy and almost numb. But that's as far as I get.
Once again, I don't feel comfortable enough. My pillow is too tall so my neck hurts and I'm getting a headache.

So I decide to get up and switch sides, sleeping on the other side of the bed. This is much better and I'm able to get a bit farther into SSILD before the discomfort rears its ugly self.

Eventually I turn myself over and sleep on my front side, and it has quite an improvement in that I'm actually able to go to sleep. It's almost impossible to concentrate on SSILD cycles though. I remember at one point I actually get to the point where bits of dreams start to form.

I remember thinking to myself, "I want to see a giant bird! ". Almost immediately I'm greeted with an image of something that looks like a cross between a parrot and a hornbill. I never actually saw how big it was but I assume it was larger than the bushes it was around.

Similar experiences permeated the next 15 or so minutes.
At the end I just decided to give up and fall asleep normally.

Ended up having a few dreams that I can't recall, and one that I can recall in some detail.

      ------
      The visit from OTG
      Fragmented: no
      Lucid: no
      TGMG: no
      Recall rating: 5

So I'm looking into the jeep, and everything's all poppy green. The windows are all mossed over.
Next thing I know Overthegun comes in the door. I'm thinking "This is really weird".

He ends up going into the bedroom and laying down on my bed where my mom is. I go into the bedroom, laying on the pile of clothing opposite the bed, and watch. I'm thinking to myself "What the actual fuck is going on here".

End up running into the living room, where I look on my computer, where the WJR jingle is loaded up. I think "Right, this would be interesting to show to OTG since he's british" .

That's when I wake up, laying there in my bed. It's around 1400 again. I'm tired, so I end up drifting in and out of sleep for the next 30 or so minutes, but never deep enough to dream, or even forget the dream entirely.

Once I get up, I look at my laptop, JUST as the countdown clock is hitting zero. Once it does, nothing happens. No sound. "Great, my alarm clock doesn't work at all". Neither did the reality check reminder. Might have to remake them in C or something.

Once I finally got to the point where I was willing to make a DJ entry I'd considered the dream too messed up to enter. This is the first time DJing it in full.

Dream recall chart for last 5 or so days:
