    1. 14/09/2014 Dream fragments and numbness

      - I was in an unknown bedroom with a fireplace, it was dark outside. Apparently i didn't like being there because i left the house and i remember trying to get in at midnight through the chimney.
      - I was in a city with my sister, we were waiting for the bus to arrive in front of a park. I find my uncle there and i lose sight of my sister.
      - I'm in some kind of ruin, it's on the face of a cliff, and i'm trying to solve a puzzle by touching stone tiles. I felt a piece move and click, and i realized i had to be careful of a sleeping bear nearby.
      - I'm playing a videogame as a gunner-girl in some kind of victorian town, but it ends quickly and i wake up. My body feels pretty heavy so i thought maybe it was SP, so i try a WILD while picturing the scene from that dream but i give up after 40 minutes as it seems i was too well rested after 9 hours of sleep
    2. Large Jagged Rocks in Our House

      In my dream there is part of the house that reminds me of the southern end of my family home in Cubitis though it is meant to be a large wooden house in Australia. I am looking at the plumbing, as there are troubles of some sort, and the pipes are kind of strange. One section that has the most trouble and which actually cracks and falls off looks much like a car muffler but is about four times bigger. There is not much that can be done, as it is mostly ruined, and the resonance chamber of the “muffler” had not been directing the water properly and so that somehow created a problem for the rest of the plumbing. I tell my wife Zsuzsanna it is broken, so either we will move or have to somehow contact the property owner.

      Inside, there is a fireplace facing out from the north to the south. In this climate (in reality), we have never needed a fireplace, as it is normally very warm; warm even during the so-called winter.

      There are two very large jagged rocks in front of our fireplace. Zsuzsanna and I are not sure why and I begin to get the idea to move them to make more space. Zsuzsanna thinks that would be a good idea, as I mention we could put another cupboard there. The cupboard would be okay to be there as we had never used the fireplace anyway (though in Brisbane, in real life, the larger house we lived in had a fake stupid-looking plastic fireplace built into the wall - which was kind of annoying as it took up a lot of space that could have been used for something sensible). However, it seems ridiculous that these huge lighter gray rocks could be moved even a little, as they look extremely heavy and are about four feet long and two feet high, plus, the jagged edges (to grip or push on) would make them hard to move as well.

      I look up the chimney area and notice a paper or something caught on one corner (front-west), but do not learn what it is. At any rate, I end up sliding the rocks (both at the same time somehow, even though they are mostly end to end) to the south part of the room a bit. It turns out that the rocks had been there to cover a large hole in the wooden floor, and underneath is just dusty ground and a few stones. We may put them back or use something more sensible (and flat) to cover that part of the floor.

    3. Crawling up to the Chimney

      Notes:
      I went to bed at 3:00 AM last night and I was very tired.

      It was fairly dark outside, the area illuminated by street lights, and I was in the yard in the front of an unknown friend's house, possibly for a party. Their house was two stories and all brick, except for the door and two large windows that looked like oak wood. There were a lot of people in the grassy front yard, I'm guessing at least twenty.

      I heard this strange noise that sounded like a cross between a squeak and a balloon popping behind the house. A strange man rushed out from the back of the house (which was illuminated like the front and not dark) and said, "the chimney's blocked".

      Now, I had my own idea of getting it fixed but my friend probably wouldn't approve of it.

      I snuck over to the side of the house, which was completely flat brick and there was nothing to grab onto. I went around to the back, which was lit up by two large circular lights on either side, and saw that in the middle of the house, there was a long rectangular indent. This indent went all the way up from the ground to the roof, and it was a few feet deep. There were irregularly-shaped pipes coming out from the walls of this indent which I used to climb up the wall.

      I had to grab the walls of the house itself a few times, because some parts had no pipe. I punched holes in the paper-thin brick walls to pull myself up.

    4. Outdoor Fireplace

      Morning of July 5, 1966. Tuesday.



      This was recurring from this time period (after the Fourth of July in 1966) associated with an actual visit to a park; Veterans Memorial Park Campground in Wisconsin. My older sister Carol (half-sister on mother’s side) seems the strongest presence in my dreams for a time, with other older relatives also in the area including my older brother Jim (though only relatives from my mother’s side) and usually no other (either generic or unknown) additional characters. The area seems more isolated than in reality and somewhat bushy though there is an open area where a large house supposedly once stood. All that is left is the fireplace and part of the chimney. However, there is ambiguity here in that it also seems like a brick barbecue deliberately made for the park or at least is apparently mistaken for one or considered as such according to my dream’s back story. There is some uncertainty whether or not to use it or to look for another one (even though no one seems to be carrying food or other supplies). There were several variations of this dream, not that well-documented as I was only five years old at the time, though it is one of my first known recurring dreams. This dream series may have just been caused by a visual association; that is, the similar appearance between a residential fireplace (especially from actual ruins I likely would have have seen) and an outside brick barbecue. I am glad I have these wondrous memories.
