    1. 21/7/2011 Night Crawler (series) part 3 (1 and 2 old)

      by , 07-22-2011 at 11:48 PM
I was in a lab in the isolation chamber, I was groggy and covered in wires.
I stood up and sniffed the air. I man in a white lab coat came in, he looked at a console and wrote something on a clipboard.
As he was about to leave I tapped on the glass to get his attention, he looked at me and seemed puzzled. He went back to the console and flicked a switch, he then said through a micro-phone speaker inside the chamber "Who are you?....are you lucid?....what year is it?". I answered the questions "Sara, Yes for a moment or two at least, 2011...".
He looked excited and pushed a button on the console, he talked into the console but I couldn't hear him (he's turned off the speaker to the chamber). I could lip read him saying "We have her!". This made me nervous so I started looking around the chamber I was in to find a weak point (my usual powers were not working). By now I was getting very worked up. He spoke again through the speaker "We mean you no harm, we just need to ask you a few questions, the manager will be he in a minute"...at this point I was totally lucid and not groggy anymore, and VERY VERY angry about being in a isolation chamber, naked and covered in wires. I grinned and the light above me cracked and went black, the man looked worried, I grinned bigger pointed to the lights above his head and winked.....it blew and all was darkness.
I then turned into 'night crawler' and smashed my way out of the chamber, alarms sounded, I found him cowering in the dark near the console and pulled his limbs off one by one, lastly his head. I took one of the arms 'for later' and then smashed though the door to make my escape.
I got out of the room only to find more lights on (I can only be 'night crawler' in total darkness) so I blew them as I went and eventually got outside the building. Once outside I ran until I couldn't hear the alarms anymore and then ran some more until I found a graveyard. I buried myself in a fresh grave as the Earth wasn't compacted.
I lay down to sleep and munched on the severed arm until I dropped off.

    2. Meeting My Team (April 28, 2011, Dream 2)

by , 04-29-2011 at 03:22 AM (Chronicles of Ethos)
General text non-lucid dream Awake lucid dream

This was the second dream/dream set that I could recall from last night. It started sometime after 6:20am and ended at 8:00am. I think a lot more happened in this dream than the last one. That or I just remember this one better because it was the last dream of the night. I had instantly changing scenes in this dream as well, so I'm not sure if it was just 1 dream or if it was a linked set of dreams.

The dream started with me standing on a balcony. The balcony was about 3 stories high and overlooked a back yard and forest. In my dream I was a ninja on a patrol mission to guard some rich guy's mansion. It was boring for the first minute, but then I got a haircut...

I was just looking down below the balcony and then I looked up. There was a rather large and very sharp looking shuriken flying towards my face as I looked up. I used my time control ability to slow down time just enough for me to dodge the shuriken. Not a complete dodge though. It shaved off half the hair on the right side of my head. The shuriken had a blue flame color patern on it, but I'm not sure why I can remember that so well.

I looked back to find the source of the shuriken, and the only person in sight is a girl with another shuriken in her hand. I'm usually not good at remembering what DCs look like, but I remember her details more than I do other DCs. She wore something similar to a black bulletproof vest, black pants, and had orangish-brownish hair. In general, she looked like a ninja/assassin.

I screamed, "Kakashi! (Naruto character) I need help!" The dream scene then changed to Kakashi standing on a mountain. All he did was stare with wide eyes in fear until the dream scene changed back to the mansion. Seeing as Kakashi was going to be of no help, I reached into my backpack and grabbed my own shuriken.

As we threw shuriken at each other, she made her way over to the mansion and climbed up to the balcony. We had some close combat fighting, but she somehow pinned me to the ground. I managed to kick her off me though, and I ran through the door into the mansion behind me. I locked the door and layed against it to make sure she couldn't get in. "Why did you attack me?!" I yelled. I don't remember getting a response, so I just walked away from the door. I was going to go explore the mansion. After a few steps into the mansion though, she started to cry and yelled, "I just wanted to join your team!"

I suddenly became lucid at this moment. I thought to myself, "Oh... So that's why she was trying to kill me!" (lol dream logic) I then tried to reverse time to invite her to join my team and get rid of the sad moment. I was back on the balcony and asked her to join my team. She responded with, "Ha! I knew you would fall for that trick!" (Time control didn't have an affect on her I guess and the crying was fake.) She then hugged me in acceptance to my invitation. I was annoyed though because she tried to kill me and then she tricked me. We started to walk into the mansion and I asked, "Wait. What is this team you keep talking about?" She just smiled and said, "I'll show you." Everything went black for a moment...

The next thing I remember was standing in some tunnel complex with her and a few other people. By this point I had lost lucidity, but it seemed to be a continuation from the last dream. One of these new DCs was a man in heavy metal armor with a large 2 handed sword. Another one was woman wearing weird robes and holding a wand in her hand. The other new DC was a woman wearing leather armor and a holding bow. These new DCs were refered to as Warrior, Wizard, and Archer. The only different thing I noticed about the assasin was she now had a katana strapped to her back. My backpack was also missing.

We all walked to the end of the tunnel and entered a large storage room. It was well lit with no source of light, full of stacked crates, and two other tunnels. I started to explore the storage room and I walked around a wall of crates. As I turned the corner I saw a large beastly dog sleeping in the middle of the room. It must have been a guard dog and it snarled at me. I looked back to see if the rest of my team was ready to fight the beast, but the only one still with me was the assassin. The warrior, wizard and archer had run off to search another room. The girl drew her sword and the beast pushed me out of the way. She slashed the dog with her katana and made a wound; it didn't seem to have much of an effect on the beast however. The beast was about to lunge at her, but I got up and pushed the dog away. I was able to distract it long enough for my friend to hit the beast with the killing blow.

When we finally caught up to the rest of our team, we found them surrounded by an army of evil red-eyed koalas. There were fireballs and arrows flying, and the warrior was in the middle of it all, slaying demonic koalas with his sword. We fought with some of the koalas and then ran off to an exit tunnel. At this point I blacked out a little again.

I was soon in a new dreamscape on a large ship. It looked like there was a party taking place. We were being celebrated for something we did, but I'm not quite sure what. It was kind of fuzzy in this dreamscape. The last thing I could remember was Mickey Mouse being strangled by Mini Mouse on the ship.

After that, my alarm woke me up at 8:00am. After thinking about my dreams, I started to laugh at Kakashi and Mickey Mouse. Later that morning I also asked my sister if my hair had grown back yet. Forgot that was only a dream.

      My Thoughts on this Dream

I just realized that this dream set was actually linked to a previous dream that night. When I met the warrior, the archer, and the wizard, it might have been based on the story I wrote in my last dream. The ship I was on at the end also looked just like the flying one. Looking at this now, I realize my dream control still protects me even when I'm not lucid. Time control saves the dream once again!

I will probably laugh now whenever I see Kakashi on TV or koalas. I don't like the idea of hurting animals, but personally, I think this was necessary. That dog nearly killed us and those koalas were like little furry demons! <-- = koala!

I'm also wondering if the girl I met could have been my dream guide. She may have tried to kill me, but she seems more intelligent than other DCs, she led me to the tunnels and the ship, and she was the only one who didn't abandon me in the tunnels. Dream guide possiblity number 1: The sea turtle with mind altering abilities. Dream guide possibility number 2: The assassin girl who stood by my side in battle.

    3. Confronting the Beast of the Unconscious

      by , 11-07-2010 at 03:30 AM
I think the symbolism in this one is a little too obvious.

I was walking down Parramatta road along where Sydney uni had its buildings and noticed a newly renovated building that I had never seen before so I went inside it. I seemed to be with a friend, probably Kynan. We explored around this newly renovated building which had clean white walls and lots of students walking around busily. We went up some stairs to a mezzanine where there were a couple of elevators. When we went into the first elevator we found it only had 2 numbers in it, and that we were already at the top one (the bottom one being the ground entrance level), so we went into the other elevator which had several more numbers (our one being the lowest this time). Inside this elevator the storeys had names, after no. 1 in which we started (its name I can’t remember), no. 2 was called “nondescript balcony”, no. 3 was called “the unconscious” and no.4 was called “the rational ego” – I can’t remember the other levels further up. A woman in the elevator asked us to choose our destinations, Kynan chose “the unconscious” whilst I chose “nondescript balcony”. Whilst the elevator was moving upwards, Kynan and I took notice of some illegible graffiti on the wall behind that seemed to be being projected in front of us faintly via some unknown light source. I was vocal about an observation that at times the light projections of the graffiti were in the motion of sliding downwards, other times they were rotating.

Since the level that I picked came first, we got out at level 2 “nondescript balcony”. It unsurprisingly lived up to its name and there was basically nothing here that I can remember, so we went by stairs up to level 3 “the unconscious”. This level consisted of a very large balcony type area that connected to the building where it assumed clear glass walls, and inside the building there were several designated ‘holes’ so that it was also like an inner balcony looking down into the levels below us. This whole level seemed to be way bigger than the building seemed in the lower levels, and it was populated much less, with only sparse clusters of people standing around and not much noise. It had an eerie feeling of only being half renovated, with no furniture or appliances around, just empty areas with a raw, unpolished aesthetic. The only people around were from the blackwattle cohort. I also saw Mr Williams briefly near one of the interior balcony ‘holes’. I followed Kynan to a gathering of people out on the outdoors balcony area near the building walls who were playing a game of basketball, and Kynan started joining in. He tried to get me to join in, but I refused to play, and so they told me then I should move away because it would be detrimental to the game if I stood around idle in the trajectory of the players (Pat Ormsby was among them and when he had the ball he bumped into me a few times). I left them and ventured out towards the expansive outdoors balcony area where the majority of the cohort where sitting around on the floor.

They were engaged in some sort of wildlife demonstration. All I can remember of the guy doing it was that he gave off an indigenous vibe. The only animal he had was some giant dinosaur kind of animal which apparently was brought from Japan. It was a huge saurapod kind of beast, at least twice the size of a lion, with dinosaur scales and a head shape reminiscent of that of an axlotl, slightly salamenderish, and its behaviour was reminiscent of that of a dog. Even though he had claimed to have tamed it, to me it still seemed very dangerous and scary, and if it wanted to it could easy turn on any of us and fatally harm us with just one pounce with its muscular body and a bite of its very large reptilian mouth. I sat down next to a group of friends. I got very anxious whenever the beast moved closer to us. The demonstrator stressed that its tameness relied a lot on our interactions and reactions to it.

At one point he made everyone there sit around in a rough circle and the beast went around putting its huge head in front of each person, demanding that its head be stroked gently by each and every person. This made me very nervous because the though of putting my hand and self near its huge head meant that I was in the most vulnerable position where it could bite me if it wanted to. Whilst doing this it seemed to be in a very gentle and friendly disposition, more so with each subsequent stroking from each person. In my attempts to avoid it, I strategically positioned myself at the end of the broken circle of people so that I would be the last one who’s turn it was to interact with it. When it was finally my turn I was too scared and I refused to extend my arm and stroke its head. At my rejection the beast’s disposition rapidly turned more aggressive, and it snarled its teeth at me, suddenly looking more like it was about to bite me. The demonstrator urged me again, and I flinched and could not do it again, and the beast snarled its teeth at me again – it could sense my fear and was readjusting its disposition exactly to propagate this. I got increasingly worried that the beast’s anger would increase to the point where it would attack me, and the demonstrator urged me more urgently that I must stroke the beasts head or else it might decide to attack me (the demonstrator didn’t have absolute power over the beast, but rather he relied on trusting its generally tame nature). I finally had the courage to hesitantly put my hand on its scaly head and began stroking it, like one would with a cat or a dog, and it immediately returned to a more gentle disposition, enlargening it’s eyes once more, hiding its teeth and bowing its head – the demonstrator encouraged me then to extend my stroking to the horn-like formations it had at the back of its head, which the beast enjoyed in a cat-like fashion. I was immensely relieved at having done my obligation to it and I was now free to leave it, which I did so with haste. I woke up shortly after this feeling very relieved and unusually refreshed, and completely forgetful about where I was until I eventually opened my eyes.
