    1. Mum's friend moved away for a while

      by , 12-13-2014 at 02:39 PM
So my dream's a little bitty, I've only just started trying to remember them anyway..

I was in my (mum's) friend's house with Jane (who is the said friend), I think this was more of a memory the dream thought up. I didn't register it then but the rooms of the house were set out differently to how they actually are, and her living room had ghastly orange cushions placed on this three seat, brown leather sofa.
This room was important because someone had commited 'suicide', I can't remember if it was supposed to be Jane's boyfriend or his kidnapper (yup, the imaginary boyfriend had been kidnapped not long before) by she and I somehow knew it was a murder meant to look like suicide.

The scene then changed to myself, my mother and two other people attempting to walk down this really steep alley in town, which was flooded or had a lot of water. I remember feeling quite nervous because I was trying really hard not to fall over, we eventually had to cling onto the wall on our right (which in the dream had a huge chunk missing) to get down.
Once we reached the bottom (phew) I asked my mother where Jane was and she told me her friend had gone away for a few months following the incident. At that point I remember wanting never to have seen the horrific scene of the 'suicide' as I'd unknowingly walked into the room, being the one to discover it....
There was something about a neighbour across the road but I can't remember that now, though I think her name was Dani?

And right in the middle there was the random moment where I googled something (all I could see was the screen) and on images I saw the comic book versions of Sam and Dean Winchester.

    2. First LD and first DJ entry :)

      by , 08-04-2012 at 09:12 PM
So, I have been reading about Lucid Dreaming for a while now, and want to get into the topic, as I find it very interesting.
Of course the first thing to do is practice dream recall and start a Dream Journal, but I somehow couldn't find the motivation and time until now.
Nevertheless I can recall at least a dream every night, without practice.

Today I decided to do my first DJ entry, as I had my first lucid dream, and it motivated me to write it down.
It was a DILD, and happened about 4 hours into sleep, as I checked the time after i woke up.
Of course, as it was my first LD, it was very short.

I was in a "normal" dream first, running away, or rather hiding from police, although I hadn't done any crime. At first I wasn't even sure they were chasing me, but somehow I just assumed it and i tried to lose them in smaller streets and alleys. This was probably one dream sign that made me realize it was a dream and made me lucid - there was no reason why the police would be chasing me.
I came from a place I knew into a slightly different scenery, that I had no recognition of (probably another dream sign), where I stopped for a second, and thought to myself: "Hey, this is a dream, stop running away from the police and confront them / your fears" At that moment the police were gone, or rather it was me that was gone, as I found myself in a room with computers (not many, just some standing around) and became lucid. I jumped up and started flying (which I heard is not so easy for beginners, as you can't really "think away" the boundaries of physics, as gravity at first, but somehow I managed it on the first try) I was in the air for a moment when I noticed the dream fading away, probably because I was so excited, and maybe because instead of getting to know the surroundings, I started off with flying. Then I remembered that spinning can help maintain the dream. So I tried spinning, which in mid air was weird, but possible, but it didn't help a lot, maybe a little, but the dream still faded and I woke up.

I took some notes on my phone as not to forget and be able to write it down after I woke up (I went to sleep again, as it was 4 in the morning), but I can recall the dream almost perfectly even without the notes.
It was a great first experience, and I hope I will have more like this and better experiences in the future!
    3. First Entry

      by , 07-05-2012 at 09:30 PM (eMCLucid's Dream Journal)
I've been keeping a dream journal on and off for the last 2 months, and have now decided to document my dreams on DV in order to be more consistent in my lucid dreaming progress. I've had a total of 4 lucid dreams since I started, all DILDs. This entry will detail my longest, most vivid lucid dream to date.
      Blue = Dream
      Red = Lucid

The dream began in an old house. I was "captured" by a bunch of frat guys. They brought me into a very large room and told me to sit down on an old couch, near the center of the room. They seemed angry, and one of the larger guys kept drawing his fist back, pretending that he was going to punch me. I was clearly being interrogated, which I assumed was for being in their house. Eventually, they made me, and 15-20 other people around my age,(a few who I recognized) line up along the wall and do push-ups. There wasn't a lot of room and I kept bumping into the others, which frustrated me greatly. Suddenly, something snapped. I thought in my head, "I'm dreaming!" I stood up, not bothering to perform a reality check. I began to walk across the room to the door which I came in from. I looked down at my hands, attempting to conjure a fireball to hurl at the dream character aggressors. It did not work, but a small gust of air formed between my hands. I shot it at the door and it flung open. I walked in, and saw 5 or 6 of the aggressors just standing there, confused. I began breaking off pieces of furniture with my hands, and hurling the pieces at them. Every throw was a dead-on hit. One by one they went down, until there were none left standing. I walked outside, and immediately spun around to prolong and stabilize the dream. This worked very well, as the scene became more vivid. I then made my way to the back yard of the house, and tried to fly. At first, it didn't work, but I tried again, then realized I was floating up near the third story of the house. I was quite excited, for this was the first lucid dream that I didn't wake up immediately from at the point of gaining lucidity. I flew over to a window, to attempt to manifest a dream character. Sitting at the window sill, I thought to myself, "Behind that door inside is a very attractive girl." Nothing happened, but I looked down at the bed in the room, and the sheets started to move! Out from under them came a good friend (female) that I knew from High School. I was completely shocked that I had so easily manifested a character in my dream. She began to speak to me, and the scene immediately destabilized. Everything starting spinning, the colors blending together. I soon woke up, and could not fall back to sleep due to the sheer excitement from the experience I'd just had.
    4. Ship Departure and Four Leaf Clovers

      by , 03-27-2012 at 05:38 PM
I am with my mom and some other close friends in a large mall with many levels. The bottom level is grand and people are selling bedroom furniture at their posts which are models of lavish and comfy beds. I come down the stairs and meander around until I find people quickly going through boarding gates. They show there tickets and are rushed on board to a vessel which I know to be a ship. I here the final departure call for one ship and I ask if they have any room on board for me and they say no. I ask another ship and she starts to find space for me and tells me they will be traveling to all these exotic islands. I ran away excited to go and I start telling all my family and friends but then the ship leaves without me.

I also dreamed about a four leaf clover but I can't remember the context.
    5. Cynical's Dreams

      October 13, 2011

Some of my friends and I were watching movies on my basement tv. These weren't movies I could make out.

Eventually, we decided to order out for two pizzas. But everyone had to eat dinner. So, they all gave me money, totaling $20, and told me to order two large pizzas. I dial up Pizza Hut, and call them, ordering three larges because there's a special.

Once the pizza gets here, a kid from my Boy Scout troop is knocking on my door with them. Apparently they're using child labor now. (Should've realized this was a damn dream!) He opens my door without my permission, but he has pizza so it's all good.

He starts wandering around asking stupid questions and breaking everything. I take the pizza upstairs and wait for everyone to come back.

I hear chewing upstairs, and have this sinking feeling. I run upstairs, and see my father and brother finishing up the last box of Pizza Hut Pizza. We have a civil discussion.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?!" I ask politely.

"Eating the pizza you bought for us," my father replies.

"Why on earth would I buy you pizza?!"

"It's Father's Day or my birthday or something."

"No, it's not. Even if it was, I'd just buy you a damn special occasion card from the dollar store."

"Hah! You can't even afford a dollar. I ate 17 pizza slices to show you how it feels."

"How what feels? And who ate the other 7 slices? There were 7 people! ..I think."

My brother pipes in, "I ate them."

"Ok, look. My friends gave me $20 to buy these damn pizzas. Once they find out what's happened, I'm toast, you jackass."

My father snickers, "Oh well. I think I hear knocking downstairs. You better go check!"

Indeed, there was loud knocking, a telltale sign of when Jane is knocking for you.

"Have fun," my dad says in a fatherly way.

      "You too, guys."

I run to the basement, and open the door. The gang is there, waiting to come in.

      "Hey, I'm hungry!"

Everyone says this simultaneously. I look at each of them, with their endearing expressions. I take a deep breath, but almost choke.

"Guys. My dad ate them all."

These words hung in the air, literally. Everyone looks at them in dead silence. I fear for my life. Then, they line up side to side. They each say a number at a time. I realize they are counting down. I start laughing, thinking that they can't hurt me because I'm dreaming. As they close in, my mother skips down the steps somehow, telling me my brother and father had heart attacks.

    6. Day 1 - First Recorded Dream

by , 04-14-2011 at 08:08 PM (The Sane Asylum)
I meant to post this one the previous day, but I got distracted by some miscellaneous chore and forgot. Here it is now.

I was driving around my childhood neighborhood or a similar one, burning time. I think there were two other people in the back seat of the car. I vaguely recall wanting to buy or find something. As I looked around, I saw something interesting in someone's yard (it was in an area similar to the front lawn of my old house) and I went to check it out. As I continued looking, I noticed a spiderweb, and then more webs began appearing. There were some spiders of varying sizes at this point, most smaller than a standard index card, but there was one in the middle about the size of my foot. Then something changed it it became Super Mario-esque.

It's a little vague, but I'm literally just now starting to record my dreams. Hope this works!
