    1. May 16, 2018 Non-Lucid

by , 05-16-2018 at 10:41 PM (Deep Inside The Lucid Dreamer's Subconscious)
I'm in my front yard with my neighbors. The idea is that the girl from stranger things (millie) is going to be at some conference and I want to go see her.

Later on in the dream I'm on this tropical island in a giant field. There's a massive volcano in the background. There's a woman speaking out loud about giving birth. I find myself walking under this wooden tower. All around me are naked women laying down in different sections, almost like pods or maybe parts of the grass that are shaved down to rectangles absent of grass for the women to lay in. It was strange because none of the women looked pregnant, but instead were sunbathing. I was tempted to look at their bodies but at the same time was trying not to look. The volcano in the background exploded and huge portions of lava were raining down onto the field. I thought that everyone was going to die and this was the end. I walked down a hill close to a darker spot that opened up. There was a girl there that was bending below me. It felt like I was having sex with her but it didn't seem to work.

    2. Dream - Parking Difficulties

      by , 05-16-2018 at 11:09 AM
Date of Dream: WED 16 MAY - 2018

Dream No. 333 - Parking Difficulties

I don't remember how the dream started. From where I do remember, I was in my local area but I forgot specifically what I was doing. There was building next to the primary school that doesn't exist in real life and it contained a cinema in there. JS and her mum were there but I forgot what we were talking about; I think I was following them around the car-park.

Then I actually went into the primary school area and I had some classes but I forgot what they were about. Out in the school yard, I catch sight of my year 12 maths teacher Ms McM; she looks angry but it's not directed at me. There is this little girl there and Ms McM starts chasing her furiously around the school, literally running after her and the girl is squealing and begging for dear life.

I was feeling down about something, so I decided I wanted to take a walk on the nature track near the creek but the sky was a really dark grey and I could sense the bad weather coming. When I was about to descend down the hill to the track, I asked “Dreamy WB, is there anything you can do in regards to the bad weather?”. What happened next was the worst. All these bright psychedelic colours appeared in the sky and there was a heavy growling sound to go with it... The dream had corrupted Dreamy WB. This made me scared for my life. I ran for my house, screaming like a little kid.

When I was in the driveway, I found myself in my mum's car, heading into the garage. No matter what I did and how careful I was, the dream would never let me centre the car into the garage to park properly. That's all I can remember about this dream.

    3. A New Factory Job

      by , 05-16-2018 at 08:15 AM
Morning of May 16, 2018. Wednesday.

I become aware of sitting on a couch in an unfamiliar office. From my left, two unfamiliar men had been talking to me, one at a desk (facing the same direction as I am, toward the opposite wall), the other standing farther back and facing me. There is also a door to my left, between me and the desk. Apparently, I am present to take on a new job in their factory. A special agency had apparently sent me here, though there is no definite backstory. I am to serve as a foreman. There is an extraordinarily vivid and focused awareness of being in the room, though I consider that I may have fallen asleep briefly as they were talking, but they do not seem to notice. I remain relaxed and confident as they speak. There are no threads of my conscious self identity present at all even though I feel like myself. Only one thread of my conscious self identity is present in the last scene.

The man who was standing walks over to a large bookshelf (against a wall perpendicular to the couch I am on and also to my left) and picks up, from the middle shelf, a large leather satchel or what resembles an oversized purse, though it may be implied to be an oversized backpack. They will be producing this item as I am working for them. The man demonstrates how the zipper opens and closes over the top. It does not seem finished. In fact, there seem to be parts of the device that was used to make it still attached to each side.

I decide to speak, to give them the impression I am attentive. “Is this item made manually,” I ask, “or is it set up on a machine?” I lift my arms up in front of me and make motions as if I am pulling a lever with each hand simultaneously. The male who is standing says something about machines, but is not clear on the answer. My dream self is not aware that the couch I am sitting on had suddenly rotated (with no feeling of movement) ninety degrees to the left so that it now faces the right side of the desk.

The man at the desk is looking over some documents. “You will only be watching each employee to make sure they are doing their work,” he says. He continues very seriously, “You are their master, and they are your slaves.” I find his statement slightly puzzling, but I do not say anything. It sounds like easy work, just watching someone else. I try to recall the agency that sent me, but I cannot think of the backstory of this scenario.

Soon, I am in a different room without putting much thought into it or even having gotten up at any point. The two men are still present, but one is facing me while sitting at a large table and the other is sitting on a kitchen counter. I still seem to be sitting on the “same” couch. The man on the counter is holding a mat of the type made from recycled tires, a product of a factory I first worked at when I was eighteen years old. It is not implied to be a product they will be making. In fact, it is missing much of its right side (my right) when held up vertically by the man. I tell them this and describe the manufacturing process to them. I again make motions with my hands and describe how it is put together. “They start by slicing the tires into strips,” I say, “and then they put the spacers between the strips. Mostly all there is on that side are the metal rods holding it together.” I then describe how the metal rods are bent on a worktable. My dream eventually fades during this scene.

Again, the only thread of valid conscious self identity is in the last scene, though that is a very old thread from about forty years ago and even so, rendered into an otherwise fictitious scenario. I continue to find it interesting how many non-lucid dreams have no associations with current waking life at all and I always remain baffled as to why so many people believe in waking-life-related “interpretation” above any real attempt to understand the dream state. In this case, even the autosymbolic nature of the dream state does not seem fully active other than the usual preconscious factor and the implied thinking skills correlation to initiate waking life consciousness. In addition to getting me to focus on thinking processes, my dream self’s status is seen by how the mat is incomplete on its right side, as waking autosymbolism is oriented to the right. It implies, while in my dream, that my bed is solid underneath me on my left side (analogous to a mat one steps upon). Thus, the essence and imagery of this final dream feature is more “solid” on my left, while waking reality, the openness to my real environment (right side), is causing my dream to render this fact with biological environmentally-based autosymbolism (my dream self’s awareness of my real environment is incomplete in this scene, thus that side of the mat is incomplete). This type of autosymbolism has been rendered in virtually countless previous dreams.

    4. The Dark Tower – Blaine is a Pain

by , 05-16-2018 at 05:05 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
      2018, 05-15

The Dark Tower – Blaine is a Pain

I am in a green meadow near a stream. There is a deer here, she is drinking from the stream. I see there is a monorail track not far away. Then I know what is about to happen. I see the light from Blaine the Mono speeding along the track so I teleport over to the deer and form a shield around us. Blaine speeds past in a blur, stirring up a lot of debris in his wake. The sonic boom that comes after he passes is almost deafening. The deer I am protecting is scared but unharmed so I release her and she runs off. But I’m supposed to be on Blaine! I run parallel to the track and then jump up and fly. I focus energy into it and fly like the characters on Dragonball Z, speeding along the track to catch up with Blaine. I fly right next to Blaine for a bit, matching his speed but unsure of how to get in. I finally figure I should just phase through the wall of Blaine, so I try to focus on that… I manage to phase through the wall and then I make a spectacularly unimpressive crash into what looks like a piano, coming to a stop with a loud BRANG noise.

My sudden arrival has surprised everyone on the train except for MoSh, who is just looking over at me. Everyone else is wanting to know how I was flying, how was I flying as fast as Blaine, how did I get inside from out there. Blaine says I am rude for coming in uninvited. He also says I am rude for collecting all the toxic gas back in Ludd. I tell him I wasn’t being rude, I was simply solving his riddle… figuring a way to stop the toxic gas and still get on board to be with my friends. I never meant it to be rude. Good riddle, by the way. I was barely able to solve it. Blaine seems to accept my treating the situation as a riddle and is more than happy to take credit and praise for setting the riddle up. So having appeased Blaine for my unexpected arrival the riddling continues.

Roland is telling riddles one after another, and Blaine is answering each of them instantly, with no hesitation. Susanna and Jake seem to find that very disheartening, but Eddie looks like he has zoned off into another dimension. This appears to have annoyed Susanna, who looks like she’s about to bring Eddie back with an elbow to the ribs but thinks better of it when Roland shakes his head slightly while looking at her. MoSh says he has some riddles he could contribute. I know some, too. I can’t remember specific riddles, just that Roland, MoSh, and I took turns giving out riddles for a while but we weren’t having any luck in stumping Blaine. I am thinking Blaine is cheating with his vast databanks, maybe I should hack in and break the connection and see how many riddles he can solve then… Blaine says we are almost out of time, we are almost to the end of the line.

But now Eddie seems to be coming back to us and it looks like he is about to crack up laughing. He starts telling his silly joke / riddles, and that is clearly pissing Blaine off. He tells a dead baby joke, I’m not even sure if that really qualifies as a riddle since logic gets nowhere with it… but Blaine takes it as a riddle and refuses to answer. Roland says if Blaine is going to cry off then we win and he has to keep his promise. He gets mad and sounds like he’s having a tantrum more appropriate to a spoiled 3 year old. MoSh adds in a couple nonsensical riddles, and Eddie adds another… and now the only response from Blaine is a bunch of nonsensical sounds, quote fragments, and random words that make no sense at all. My next response is, “Cool… you broke his brain!” The entire system crashes, the lights go out, the engines shut down. But we might still crash. I tell everyone to gather around me and I’ll make a shield to protect us all. I form a force field around us, Roland is apologizing to Eddie, and then we crash. Once we’re stopped an emergency escape hatch in the ceiling pops open. Roland is asking if everyone is ok. I lower the force field but then I wake up.
    5. Log 1112 - Dog and Paper Ploy

      by , 05-16-2018 at 12:31 AM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
      Created Tuesday 15 May 2018

Just a a dream today. I did get several near-LD transitions, but dropped the ball each time...

Dream 1 - Dog and Paper Ploy

Scene 1 - Diligence and Fatigue
The visuals were slightly blurred. I was in a highschool classroom as a student, a science course, I believe. While the lessons were being set up, the others diligently finished up homework from their other classes. Figured this was expected of every students there. I woulda done the same, but felt too fatigued to get anything done. Unknown transition.

      Scene 2 - Dog Rick
Similar visuals. Spectator mode. I was watching Rick and Morty. The title characters were at their home's lounge. Only, Rick had turned himself into a small dog, just for the heck of it. His grandson was upset, certain this was just a ploy from Rick to avoid certain responsibilities again. Through some mishap, Morty fell on his head, and went unconscious. Rick desperately looked for a way to his lab/garage, but his current form kept him from going there. Somehow, he made it outside. Dog Rick called out for help, but (for whatever reason) Morty was the only person that could understand him. Just then, a large, vicious dog jumped in, and chased after him. Warp

      Scene 3 - Paper-Thin Disguise

The visuals were clearer. I was at my old job at the gas station. But now, I had the form of a small piece of paper, a receipt, maybe. Although I could speak freely, I otherwise had limited mobility. Through unknown, incredible means, I'd previously set up a disguise, a mannequin, which I controlled through a system of pulleys. This ruse allowed me to at least man the registers without suspicion.

One unfortunate breeze was all it took to put in an end to all of that. I was now on the floor, almost completely helpless. Soon, a few former co-workers passed by, of whom I could identify Chloe, Edie, and Saul. Despite the predicament, I initially thought it too embarrassing to call out for help, unreasonably presuming they'd mock me for my state. Eventually, I did do just that, if reluctantly. Edie was the first to notice, and as should've been expected, she was quite shocked. I asked her to place me back onto that mannequin machine I'd set up. She was far more concerned about my safety, but after some convincing, she complied.

Later on, I got a call from the fire department. The man on the other line had numerous questions about the security system in the building. This made me quite suspicious. I claimed most of his queries involved access to the office, which I didn't have at the moment, but that didn't seem to concern him. In an instant, Brigid, my former boss in that place, showed up to buy something. Given her bewildered look, she seemed to have seen past my disguise. Whatever the case, I handed the phone over to her, let her deal with that.

      Woke up soon after.
