Dreamed I found a teensy alligator. He was eating a lizard (tail first) that was as big as he was. The alligator even "rolled" as if he was in water lol I picked him up and he bit me. It hurt a little at first, but I was excited to show him off, but he disappeared along the way. Then I saw a large fish. Myles was excited about his discovery and was carrying it around, cradling it and petting it lol I told him it was a fish and the fish was about to die. So we released it into a bathtub filled with water. Myles thought the fish was drowning because it kept leaning to the side and surfacing as if to breathe. I told him the fish was just looking for food. Dreamed something about driving and something about the Congregation, but I've forgotten the details. Dreamed all the kids wrote their father a letter. It was a bit like "This is your life", but mostly mean-spirited. Their grandmother and I were very disappointed in them. 2 HOUR NAP Dreamed Roxanna died. I was very upset but I reassured others they had done the right thing by not telling me first. Juliet had been called in from NY to settle Roxanna's affairs. In another dream, a 6 year old boy attacked someone who was threatening his teenaged sister. When they got home, he told her he loves her and then he kissed her very intimated on the lips. She kissed him back but then gently pushed him away. But she thought "Damn, that boy can kiss!" She had just had a baby boy and thought about how nice it was to have both her boys love her so much they'd do anything for her. In another dream, there were 2 bears in my bed (a larger "normal" bed). They wanted to mate, so they kicked me out of the bed and I literally snarled at the male lol In yet another dream, I was in a stadium full of ppl. I took out a recorder (flute) at some point. Myles bickered with me about my finger placement. I didn't change it and when I blew a single note, it was very loud and VERY shrill. Then someone came along and made ppl move so we could squeeze in another row of seats. I helped move the chairs but I was still annoyed about the tight fit. I also dreamed I was at Grams old place and I was using something (?) to glide around the air with. It was like one of my bandanna's, only metal. I held it above my head and twisted my arms side to side above me. That lifted me off the ground. Then I would alternate a sort of "rowing" motion which lifted me even more and allowed me limited movement. I could only stay airborne for small amounts of time but it was great fun. 5 HOUR NAP Dreamed I almost had sex. Forgot the details. Dreamed I was at a school and went into a co-gender restroom to change clothes. At first, my clothes were in a shopping cart. I looked for a stall and found 2 which were really gross. In a cleaner one, I struggled to wedge the cart in the doorway. Another woman was in the restroom wearing a bra top. She complained about her hair which was black and wet. She was combing her hair in front of a mirror and one of the plastic tips from her brush fell off. Then another woman came in and asked what we were doing. I quietly closed and then locked the stall to make her think I was using the restroom. She told us we had 5 minutes to get to class. My clothes were now in a box with me inside the stall lol and they smelled bad, so I sprayed some vanilla perfume on them. I woke up to another dead bird in my bed....... Grrr...
Oh, hello. I didn't know anyone still visited this dusty old place... There's plenty of tidying up to do, that's for sure. But in the Spirit of Procrastination™ I've created a (completely free) blog/resource that is relevant to my interests! *link preemptively removed* I have plans to re-write entries as pieces of fiction and post them there occasionally. Of course, that doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of what'll I'll eventually be doing. Most of you won't care, or be interested, but that's where my future guides (and ones not featured on DV) will be popping up, along with other insights that might help you achieve or understand lucidity in a new way. If the staff is cool with it, I'd be more than happy to share these resources on DV, but it's not worth getting banned over. Of course, the blog won't be all about lucidity, as restricting myself to a single topic would get boring fast.... Anywho. Cheers! P.S. I know "advertising" isn't allowed. There used to be a clause that allowed linking to free off-site resources, but I guess that's been nixed. Hence my preemptive removal of the link. If anyone would like to discuss this matter with me, I'll clear out some space in my inbox.
Over there, Where a vacant lot densely filled with tall weeds, Stood a tall tree for decades. Villagers nearby had a strange story of a lost child, strolling; “Ma… where are you?” “Ma… I miss you.” A motherless child blankly cries for its mother. People tentatively speculate An abandoned corpse lies beneath the tree, Waiting and wandering Mama…… A small tree at the time of a child’s death Burgeons into a luxuriant tree. The taller it grows, Higher and farther a child visions. Mama…… Avoiding and whispering Supposedly about the damned tree. Villagers feel the eerie note to a child’s voice; Enamoring adroitly. A warning goes into one ear out the other, I look up for this infamous tree. At the top its companion There is a child wearing a raggedy straw hat, Incessantly gazing at one place; Mama…… A pitiful child with Lingering attachment and memories Still has eyes full of tears

Woke a couple times, tossed and turned a little, had a couple of soda dreams which were quickly forgotten because Meesha brought ON MY BED a dead and helf-eaten bird. TOOK A NAP Dreamed I was in some strange dark building/room and I came across a black woman who was about to give birth. She was in a LOT of pain and I wanted to help, but she didn't speak English. I was with the Coroner from the show Glades and I kept trying to reassure the woman that he could help, that he was a doctor. Ahh yes, but before that, I was in a main area for entertainers and strippers. A woman was desperate for a job. She was on the verge of being fired. She was new and wore a very neat dress but the decorative seams down the sides were unraveling and she was upset. I wanted to help but the seems looked like they were nothing more than hair ties which had been looped and the metal from the bands were falling off. I ventured off then found the woman about to give birth. I dreamed Zee's Case Worker brought her home. I had been sleeping and missed an appointment that I would have picked my daughter up from. Zee covered Ray's face in a picture with a puffy sticker. The Case Worker complained someone volunteer her to also pick up and deliver Colleen, which she wasn't happy about at all. She was nice to me, though, and didn't seem to mind having transported Zee. I also dreamed I was driving and saw some Chickens and Eggs on the side of the road. They seemed wild and I figured no one would mind, so I pulled over to gather the eggs. One of the chickens acted like she was going to attack me but I ignored her. All of the eggs were either cracked or rotten though.
Dreamed of a huge theatre. Well, the bottom floors held a library, rooms, dining rooms. You had to climb insanely steep stairs to get to the theater. Once there, you enter double doors and then descend into the large theater. The rows of seating continue downward. Anyhow... the place was packed and I couldn't find my group. The stairs were just as steep going down, so I said "forget it" and went to one of the top rows to sit down. Just then, Diana raced past me, going down to the restrooms. My group was right there at the end of the row I was headed for. I sat next to a young Myles and he whined that Diana had spilled the drink and popcorn they were sharing and now he didn't have any. But the popcorn container looked mostly full to me. I took a gulp of my soda and then gave it to the others to share. I dreamed I was driving to Speedway with a pink pony on my lap. When it was time for me to get out of the car, I had to move her with great difficulty. I thought about leaving the car running while I got a soda, but I quickly changed my mind. When I got out of the car, I saw several JW's [Jehovah's Witnesses], but Gary stands out most in memory. Oh yeah!!! In the theater dream, I was initially with adults in the Library. One of the guys wanted to show us a book. There were 2 guys and 2 girls so I assumed we were couples. I searched the rows of books and found a Zombie book and was surprised it was the "Sex Book" (in the dream I remembered the name lol- the Kuma Sultra or something). We were looking for books by their numbers but the one I found wasn't the right one. I then lied to a Librarian to get access to a back room. We were now looking for a book written by a Tenney. But I walked in on some support group or something and quickly left. The Librarian asked where I was going because I had originally told her I would help with some task. I apologized and told her I had lied because I'm trying to find a book. She smiled and said it was okay. That she had won 101 hunts and after I lost today, it would be 102. THAT's when we climbed the stairs which lead to the theater and the dream changed. I dreamed a very young black hair were very frizzy hair insulted (to his mother) a teenaged white girl who was walking by. The girl picked up a little of the insult but mostly just seemed confused. The mom chuckled but scolded the boy, telling him that's how fights and long standing feuds get started. I also dreamed I drove to the Farm and Tiny (the cat) ran toward the car meowing. I was confused because Tiny lives at the Trailer. And then I woke up... to Tiny meowing outside my door lol TOOK A NAP Dreamed about driving and looking for an Arby's. I kept seeing Arby's signs but when I got closer to them, the signs were for something else and I was getting angry lol
I had a City Builder dream. I've not had one of those in a long time. My map was of a mostly frozen area with some oceans and large lakes. But I kept restarting the map because the enemy colonies always got the jump on me and were on the verge of destroying me time and time again. I couldn't figure out how they built their troops so quickly because I was still struggling with basic resources. I love those dreams. It's like looking at a world map and then zooming in on areas to work on. You just think about what needs to be built then choose a place to put it. Then you think about what those buildings need to create. "You" aren't there at all. Also had the Library/Bookstore dream, only the lady wasn't upset when I didn't show up for work. I don't know why I've had versions of that dream for decades now. I've never worked in a library or bookstore lol. I also had 2 FA's. In one, I was just talking to my hubby. In another, I looked at my computer and saw it was 2:00 and woke upset thinking I had slept too long
I dreamed of sex... sort of lol I was going to have sex with a black man in a public restroom stall, but someone came into the restroom and interrupted our plans. I was giddy in the dream. I felt like our choice of location was disgusting, but I felt exhilarated because we were sneaking around. I also dreamed something about a dying planet, space, wars, flying, driving, food. Can't piece it all together though. I do recall one snippet in which the AC unit of the RV was leaking water on the carpet inside. I also remember getting stuck in traffic and being concerned because some of the road was crumbling away.
COPIED Naiya's MILD Technique Introduction Most of my lucids are MILDs. Even though it is probably one of the less popular methods, in my opinion it is one of the most reliable and versatile things you can do. The great thing about MILD is that you don't need to remember to RC or build up daytime awareness, and it doesn't require you to lose any sleep. All you need is a few minutes before bedtime. MILD is also complimented by WBTB and reality checking, but it can do very well as a stand alone method. A lot of people who are new to LDing ask what the easiest induction method is. It's hard to answer that question because different methods work for different people. Having said that, I have always thought that MILD is the perfect method for beginners. It is much more forgiving than, say, WILD, because as long as you keep trying, there really is no wrong way to do it and you will eventually succeed. A word about consistency: one of the biggest pitfalls I see is when a person tries one method for a week or two, then decides it's not working, and switches to another method. They jump from one method to the next and believe that nothing is working for them. It's very important to understand that lucid dreaming is a skill. While some people might start out with a talent for it, the rest of us have to build up from being beginners. So switching methods would be akin to trying to learn piano one week and then trumpet the next. You never give yourself the chance to master any of them. The mind needs time to internalize what you are trying to learn before it can give you good results. With lucid dreaming, even though you may not have lucid for the first few weeks, just affirm to yourself that you ARE making progress. Practice and consistency are extremely important with MILD. To get the best results, you should be doing it every single night. If you wake up in the morning with no lucids, don't think of it as a failure. If you did the MILD before bed, then consider it a success because you got your practice done. Your lucids will come when your mind has begun internalizing your practice. Preparation Before you begin, it's best to make your environment conducive to MILDing. For starters, you will need to set aside at least 5 minutes just before bedtime for the MILD. If you want the best results, I recommend a little more time, maybe 10-20 minutes total. It's important to make your attempt when you feel relaxed and your mind is free of daily worries and nagging thoughts. Spend a minute or so (or more if you are a meditator) letting go of any thoughts and worries. Make it an ironclad rule to not worry about your daily life when it's bedtime. If you need to, jot down your worries and thoughts (i.e. "I need to get gas tomorrow") in your dream journal so you can read any reminders or worries in the morning. You might try imagining that you are throwing your troubles and your thoughts away in a well or a box near your bed. If you are still being plagued by worries and thoughts, affirm to yourself that the best thing you can do for yourself and everyone around you at this moment is to get a good night's sleep and be relaxed and happy in the morning. The next part depends on how easily you fall asleep. If it takes you a long time to fall asleep (10+ minutes), then you may lie down and get comfortable as usual, and do the MILD as you fall asleep. Don't worry about trying to keep it up to the very last moment you fall asleep, because that will keep you awake. But try to make sure you keep your mind on it for at least 5 minutes before letting your mind wander or dropping off. If you are the type who falls asleep within a few minutes of hitting the pillow, you may not want to lie down for the MILD. Instead, turn off the lights, sit comfortably on your bed, and after at least 5 minutes, go ahead and lie down to sleep, keeping the MILD going as you fall asleep. On WBTBs: If you wake up naturally during the night, it would increase your chances of getting lucid if you repeat the MILD when you go back to sleep. If you have the need or want to, you can set an alarm or two at night to increase your chances. It's not necessary, but it can help a great deal. Don't worry about being consistent in the number of MILD attempts per night--it only matters that you do at least once per night total. It's very important to keep a dream journal for MILDing, especially if you are coupling it with reality checking. When you keep a dream journal, your recall gets better, and with that, it will be easier to MILD. The Method Once you have settled down your mind and you're comfortable, turn your attention to lucid dreaming. Recall your most recent dream, in as much detail as you possibly can. Imagine yourself exploring the dream as if you had been lucid in it. Believe that you are back in the dream again, only lucid. Believe that, in only a few minutes, you will soon be dreaming again, and imagine yourself knowing it's a dream, doing whatever you want. You can come up with any scenario you wish for this. It may be helpful to imagine yourself completing whatever tasks or goals you have. If you can't recall a recent dream, you can use any other dream you had, as long as it was vivid enough to remember it with a good amount of detail. This can be really helpful if you want to go back to a certain dreamscape. Another variation of this is to use a movie, video game or book. You can make up a completely imaginary environment, perhaps something from your daydreams. Imagine yourself lucid in the environment, doing whatever you want to do. It helps if you see yourself doing fun or interesting things, because it keeps you motivated. You don't have to imagine the same thing in every MILD attempt. If you did, things might get boring and your mind will not be in an active state. So don't be afraid to change it up, use a different dream memory, or imagine new things. If you have time during the day and you want to give your MILD a boost, you can practice it in the middle of the day. Simply daydream yourself into a lucid daydream. It will help build up your visualization and creative skills, which are useful for not only MILDs, but dream control. Using Autosuggestion Using autosuggestion or mantras, either alone or with the visualization, will help you MILD. Remember that the mind ignores negation when you are coming up with mantras to use. For example, if you use this mantra: "I will not fail to lucid dream tonight" Your mind will perceive it as: "I will fail to lucid dream tonight." One of my mantras used to be "I will have a lucid dream tonight." I was confused when I starting having only one lucid per night, when I normally have a few. Then I changed it to "I will have many lucid dreams tonight," and I began having more lucid per night again. Some of my favorite mantras: "I'm dreaming" --> the best for coupling with visualization, really drives it home. "This is a dream" "I will wake up in a dream" --> to promote FA's. Remember to couple with RCs every time you wake! "I'll be dreaming soon." "I will have lucid dreams tonight." Conclusion This method is pretty simple, but it can be powerful once it's mastered. Anyone can master it if they put in the time to practice it. You can do MILD while you're exploring other methods, so that if the other methods don't work well for you, there's always that guarantee of getting lucid eventually from your MILDs. Typically I recommend doing MILD for at least 2 months to give it sufficient time to work, but for some it may take more time. Sooner or later it will work--it's just that for whatever reason it takes longer for some people. Good luck and happy lucids!
I recall dreaming about the RV and stressfully navigating tight spots through road construction. I recall a Hotel and telling the maid she could clean whatever it was that was on the wall and door, but we were still settling in so nothing else was needed. She then said she had friends who could help her- implying she could get us unpacked and organised- but I told her it wasn't necessary. I also recall being at a large school and offering a teacher my DSi to reward a student with some game time. Almost all of the kids were miserable. Some were in tears. She was suspicious about my motives but named one student. Then I suddenly regretted my offer because it then occurred to me the kids could actually break my device lol
I napped in the car while my son was in Court. I had a False Awakening of Ray [son] coming up behind the car and saying he was going to jail. But then he smiled and said he wasn't. Later that evening, I had an absolutely epic dream but I fell back to sleep and forgot most of it. I don't think *I* had an active roll in any of the dream. I recall numbers. Not the #'s themselves, mind you lol. It was a string of several and at the end of the dream, a random female DC was mixing up the original digits to create new strings and she was complaining that she was finally running out of combinations. She played those #'s somehow, at the horse track. She kept winning, only the money was then given to ppl who had been somehow hurt by a curse surrounding the original digit string. Then I had an incredibly intense sex dream. I complained to my hubby- a random DC- that he never touched me anymore. I made a real issue out of it and he became angry. He then, almost violently, screwed me. Afterward, he was tender and affectionate There was a lot more to that dream, but I've forgotten it. I also dreamed of roads; a new road being built over a steep hill; a stadium; a storm; water; a little girl; an ancient statue. But I don't recall the story/stories behind them or how it all fit together.
Dream #1: Lucid The first dream I had for the night was my very first true lucid... I was in some strange place that I don't remember very well. I remember that it was a sort of mansion, and I was under the control of some sort of evil mastermind. The situation was very much like that of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Somehow I found out that the situation at hand was impossible to occur, so I determined that it was a dream. I abandoned the entire plot of the original dream and decided to fly away. For fear of falling, I flew over a large pond instead of more dangerous landing sites. I remember, at one point of my lucidity, I walked into a room full of people, and punched one of my dream characters in the nuts. Dream #2: Party + Nightmare The lucidity had ended by this point. I remember I was in a large, dimly lit room, with tables all around, including one pool table. I had found a friend who wished to play pool with me, so I made myself a drink and brought my pool cue and some balls. People were already sitting around our pool table like it was a regular table. We kicked them out and made them go to a regular table. After a while of playing pool, some older gentleman came in and proceeded to bitch at me for doing something, which I cannot remember. As soon as he left the building, I shouted "My father, and my friend's father... TWO different things, asshole". Surely enough, he heard me, came barging into the room and pinned me against my chair. I told him "Look bud, if you want to talk about it this bad, I'll talk... But you'll have to get off me and take a seat." He told me to begin talking, but didn't move. I told him that he had five seconds to comply, or I would leave without saying a god damned thing. He did not comply, so I broke out of his grip and shoved him to the ground, and then began walking around the house gathering things. The scene suddenly changes a little - but the story remains similar. The house is mine, the party is at my house... But it's not technically my house. It's my parents house, and I have long since moved out. And I'm not me, but rather, a female figure, for a few minutes in the dream. I remember that I may have been slightly lucid because I said "He tends to forget things all the time", and I was excited to talk about myself from the third person, as a different person, and I'm pretty sure I knew I was dreaming at that point. I continued to my truck to load my possessions into it, and then walked upstairs to make the final sweep of the area. I looked on the ground to see an old stuffed animal of mine... And walked off to the next room. After a few minutes of searching through my room, The stuffed animal walks into the room, and at his side is a small skeleton figure. I begin to scream, and it runs at me, so I jump onto the bed to evade it. They both become inanimate again, and then awaken again, and send me to screaming... Dream #3: The Airplane Massacre The scene changes.. I'm with my family at an airport landing strip. Except it's not MY family. I'm the oldest son in some random family We're directly in front of a wing, inspecting something. I notice a truck driving from my left, slowly. The truck turned its headlights off and began to move slow. For some reason, I got the impression that it was going to try to run us over. But I also noticed that the wing was too low for him to drive through, so it could work as a good obstacle for us. I said "Quick, get on the other side of the wing!" I did, but nobody else complied with my demands. The truck comes flying into my family, a few survive, including my father and my younger sister. We begin to run, and somehow I become separated from them... But I notice the truck behind me, quickly closing on me, and I see a mobile staircase ahead of me, which I can use to get to the plane's deck... I climb the ladder, and the truck misses me. I drive the ladder to the flight deck and hop on right as the truck rams the ladder out from underneath me. This plane is no usual plane... It's got a deck surrounding it, where people can go DURING flight and sit around outside, given they wear the appropriate gear. Anywho, I see my father tending to my injured sister. I run off and try to put in cheats, but find out that there's no R2 on a N64 controller, and that I couldn't cheat in this version of grand theft auto (Idk where that came from)
Last nights dreams were so boring in comparison to the one last night, I almost lazied out on writing this morning. Dream One (Fragment): I dreamed that I began work at a gaming magazine. In the dream it's just me and a handful of guys though. They want a female perspective on their magazine, and I tell them the biggest qualms I have with gaming magazines as both a chic and a mom. I feel like chic games don't get as much article space as "manly" games, and as a mom I wish they had a section for tiny gamers. I wish they showed more games for preschoolers and showed a better idea of what ages can play the game based on how difficult it is, and what games would be good for beginner gamers. Dream Two (Fragment): I'm getting a new apartment. I'm looking for it in the building, and discover it's right next to the on site auto shop (do they even have those in apartment complexes? I've never heard of such a thing, lol) and I worry I'm not going to be able to sleep there and my quest to lucid dream is going to go down the drain. Never did realize I was dreaming while I was worrying about lucid dreaming -_- Dream Three: I'm suddenly attending some strange boarding school. I'm walking to my class, and I notice we have three green houses, but none of them actually have plants in them. Instead two are being used as cat houses and one is being used as an aviary for tropical birds. So I get to my "class" and it's just a couple other students, and a professor... except we're not in a class room, it's an outdoor class on the playground. Me and the other students sit on the swings and the teacher is sitting on a seesaw. He's teaching about taking care of our surroundings and doing volunteer work for the good of the community. He mentions that the playground needs to be repainted, especially the swing set, and I volunteer to do so. None of the other students want to help though. The teacher tells me he's got to go buy the paint, so we'll do it later, then class is dismissed. I then walk inside the school building, where my aunt and uncle are waiting for me. They are talking to me about how my cousins are and if I like this place. I tell them it's cool. then my aunt gives me a couple of gift packs of bath and body stuff, it's supposed to be rose scented, but it says Star Trek on it and it has... the millennium falcon on it? I don't know how the heck I missed that reality check. I probably laughed it off as the manufacturers not doing their research -_- I take the bath sets to my room and set them in the bathroom, then I wake up. Dream Four: I'm walking down a hall with my son. We're at the movies looking for the theater. We find it, but they lights keep going down then coming back up, and the volume is sooo low we can't hear the movie. A girl with long straight hair comes in to fix it, but it keeps going down again. Then everyone in the theater starts talking, and a boy with sandy colored hair starts talking about how we should all be friends because he could use some more friends and at least making friends with people would turn this otherwise negative movie trip into a good one. He starts assigning everyone jobs as his friends. He's going to make one dude his gaming buddy to play video games with, he assigns one girl the job of his girl friend, another guy his shopping buddy, and another one his nerdy friend to help him fix his computer and stuff. I just sit back and watch all this, then wake up before he's done.
(i wake up and i try to recall, however i did not remember anything do i go back to sleep and begin to dream) i am at my Dads place with a bunch of family and i remember spending the night there and i couldn't sleep because i was in the same room with an evil plant that slowly warped around peoples neck and strangled them. i do a RC and and count my fingers, 5, it doesn't feel right so i do it again, as i recount i see six fingers, i now know i'm dreaming and my goal is to fly. the dream fades out into a moment of nothingness and fades back in where it left off just before fading out again, it repeats this several times not giving me enough time to even try to fly. (i eventually wake up and remember my dream instantly)
