    1. Not so lucid dream on a screen

      by , 02-17-2016 at 05:29 PM
I dreamed about lucid dreaming using WILD technique (I usually do DILD in reality). I had an SP, and the whole Wow, I am dreaming, like it would happen in real LDs, but I wasn't really lucid because the dream was totally irrational.

Instead of being in the dream, I watched my dream on a small transparent screen in a car, I saw some fantasy-like images on this screen, a very vivid blue fantasy-like bird. Close to this picture.

Also an amazing vivid pink flower.

Then somehow I managed to move my (not so) real hands and touch them inside the dream (which is happening on the screen ), I was amazed at the fact that I could move my real hands while in SP (I wasn't even lying down, I was siting sleep paralyzed ). I freaked out, and woke up (not really) and wrote about that in some LD group and probably in DreamViews too. I'm sure the touching inside dream thing was influenced by something I read a few weeks ago about someone who could move their hand in real life while lucid dreaming.

According to my notes when I was half-awake (for real) I almost had another fake LD before I woke up for real. My memory is foggy right now as many hours have passed, but the picture of the bird stayed on my mind for a while after waking up and it was really amazing. I've never seen these vivid colors in my dreams before. I had a banana before bed and another before the dream when I woke up for the bathroom (because I was having some tummy issues ), could that be the reason for vividness ?

    2. I had a dream that I was lucid dreaming...

I have been trying to have a DILD again for almost 2 weeks now without luck, then a weird thing just happened!

I just woke up from a nap when I dreamed I was lucid and controlling the dream, but I actually wasn't. It feels so weird and confusing!
I have a current health issue in real life (nothing dangerous) that has been bothering me. In the dream it was worse with odd unrealistic things happening to me, and I was trying to find a solution through a lucid dream.
I went back in time (I'm actually not good at changing scenes yet, but I was more skilled in the dream), and I was like I'm going to change this part and it would change, and I saw some dream characters that I believed I knew as grown ups (remember I'm in the past), but of course I know now I don't that I'm awake. Then I reached the doctor dream character I was looking for, and I started to think that I will ask him about what I feel, and my subconscious will answer. I was aware that he was just a dream character, and I didn't care to act awkwardly asking him what I need believing that he will answer me. While asking him and my confidence building up that I can make him answer, the dream faded and I woke up, and I think for a brief moment before I woke up I realized I was dreaming, but it was too late. I'm still confused!

      Dream 1

I am laying down to go to sleep, when everything feels fuzzy and like it's vibrating. I go along with it and find myself in a dream. I am on top of some building, looking around to the city below. Everything looks so real and clear. I am able to count the windows and seats in a car parked on the street below.
Now, I am outside my dad's house. I know it's still a dream and so I try to fly, but it proves too difficult.

      Dream 2

I'm at a store with someone. We are only buying a couple things and are approaching the register. I look and see that a younger black man has gotten in front of me. He only has a bottle of something and I don't care too much. I look again and see a few more guys (also African American) with bottles, standing around the register. One has a gun up against the female clerk.
One has a gun up against my stomach. A rush of fear comes over me, but I quickly calm down. The men all take turns buying their drinks. They line up, toting their guns. They all start to sing, they thank us, and they leave.

      Dream 3

I'm walking along a river with my dad. The river is forested and by my grandpa's house. My dad is telling me about how he would always come here when he was younger.
We come to a spot that seems to have rock walls on at least two sides. There is a tiny waterfall and a rock to jump off into a small, deep swimming hole. I take my time, and finally slide into the water.
After I get out, I look at a tall rock wall in the distance - and a chunk of it breaks off, crashing to the water below. I get out my phone and take a video as the whole wall slowly crumbles away. I label the video 'SHIT' and im going to send it to my best friend, but it does not save.

      Dream 4

I'm at work, at the front counter. I'm pretty sure the manager is watching me. An employee, B, and her friend come in and I take their order. They get a cheeseburger 'stuffed with cheese' and a chocolate shake 'with no salt'. I have some difficulty taking the order down.

      Dream 5

I'm in the gym at school, playing co-ed soccer. We're wearing PE uniforms. There are no goals, and I think we have to get the ball through the basketball hoops. I'm really getting into it. A guy has the ball and won't let it go; I'm trying hardest to get it.
I think that I would want to sign up for soccer.
Now, we see a poster or something that says a student has died. The student is in the gym, but I guess he has still died..
We are lining up around the hoop and im going to shoot a free throw in honor of him.
    4. Really weird?

So I've wanted to experience a lucid dream for quiet some time and read a wiki how about ways to improve your chances of becoming lucid in your dreams, and one of the steps said to look at your hands and say "this is not a dream". I've been doing that often enough, but last night I kind of became aware I was dreaming. I was running away from a collapsing building and I suddenly saw my hands and thought "this is not a dream" and I found myself in my living room? I realised that I could control my dream and a great sense of power came over me, I tried to move things without touching them and this worked with small items but nothing large like the sofa, so I tried to materialise things and that didn't work either. I then went out into my kitchen where my brother and his friend were and I tried to show them why I could do but it took ages for me to move anything and when I did it was only a coin, them they left and two of my friends showed up, and then lots of other people and I forgot about the lucid dream? It's hard to explain really, I know I wasn't lucid, but can someone explain what happened? And if you have any tips on how to become lucid easier or more effective than the hand thing, I would appreciate them!
    5. Dink Smallwood

First off, I should explain a couple of things about Dink Smallwood - it's a free-to-download computer game created by a guy named Seth - who put himself in as the main villain at the last level. He's kind of known for his evil sense of humor.

The dream starts, as far as I can remember, in the game. Everything looks like the game - not at all realistic, and I'm viewing myself from above - but it feels real to me. As I enter the final dungeon, the floor starts falling out. I tell myself that it's normal for the game, but now that I wake up, I know it wasn't.

Somehow the dream shifts without me knowing it. I'm in a walled area instead of a dungeon, and I'm seeing though my eyes instead of above. Everything is realistic now, too. I just couldn't tell the difference.

To my right, a door opens and a few people walk through. I think they were both girls, but I can't be sure. They weren't really part of the dream.

We're in a house that is fairly good sized, considering it's in a densely packed neighborhood in a city somewhere. The people explain that I was in a virtual reality program - like a holodeck from Star Trek, if you're familiar - that was being controlled by Seth, the creator of the game.

I met Seth (at this point, I was pretty fangirlish. Part of my dream, because I'm not actually that big a fan of Dink Smallwood, so meeting Seth wouldn't be that big a deal) and watched him with another game he was working on.

I honestly don't remember what else passed before the rest of the dream, but my sister popped up, and one of the girls was revealed to be a friend of hers that I know in real life. Seth left the room where he was working and came out, doing something with this giant keyboard-thing he carried everywhere. It pretty much controlled everything in the house.

Then there was a slightly boring period that I don't remember well. My dreams do that a lot - slip away in pieces.

The next thing I remember is being attacked by a whole bunch of, like, Arab raiders or something, complete with curved swords and facial covers. Everyone in the house was busy fighting. That was when I realized I was dreaming, and started to control it.

Oh man, it was so fun. I never have lucid dreams. Sometimes I realize when I'm dreaming, but I can never remember to try controlling it. I stopped the swords before they could do anything and immobilized the attackers.

Then, of course, I lost the thought that it was all a dream. It was fun while it lasted.

We (we being my sister and me) left the house - returned once because we had forgotten something - and suddenly I was back in the game, in a level I had never seen before. My father was there too, watching. He was the only realistic looking thing in the game.

      Then I woke up.

I got up, changed into my clothes, went to have breakfast.

      Then I woke up.

I hate "dreams within dreams" but at least the lucid part was fun, if brief.
    6. Lucid: Lucid Dream School

      by , 04-29-2011 at 06:11 AM
I was sitting in a classroom, front row, with a group of students. It was a lucid dreaming discussion class. There were single bed/benches set up that looked medical. Me and another guy were talking about different powers in lucid dreams. We were to lay down to dream and start experimenting.

I laid down and closed my eyes. After a few seconds, I opened my eyes and I was now lucid dreaming. I turned around and the guy from class was standing right next to me in a large wooden hallway. I was surprised he was there. I had the thought "I guess this is a shared lucid dream."

The class assignment was to try out three lucid powers: flying was first: so we took off flying around the hallway. Walking on walls was next: so I walked up the side of one of the far wall. Last but not least was: force style lightening bolts. I struck first and was overwhelming my classmate with arch's of pinkish electricity. He was rattling and shaking and unable to respond in any way.

I stopped and asked him if I was hurting him. He said "Not at all."
      --Then I woke up.

I don't recall ever having a dream about walking on walls before, although my last lucid dream featured flying on walls at ant-view. This is only the 2nd dream I'm aware of that I was able to shoot force style lightening bolts.
