    1. Heart of an Android

      by , 01-06-2017 at 03:20 PM (Letaali's Dream Journal)
      6.1

I'm in some mad scientist's basement. He has made androids that look exactly like humans. The male android has short black hair and a fit body. He looks generic. But the other android looks like a girl I know from high school, Emilia. She sits quietly and looks unhappy. She is bound by the scientist's programming, but the male android is free. I believe I can save her. Her heart is on a small metallic cart next to her. On the outside the heart is pink and silver metal with red lights. One part of the heart is open and the insides are full of glowing, red yarn. A long bunch of yarn loops are hanging out. They are slowly being reeled into the heart. I realize that the heart has to be wound to keep it going. The loops are almost inside the heart. I grab and pull the yarn, but it's taking all my strength to keep it still.

The mad scientist shows up, sees us and rushes to put on his battle suit. "We have to get out of here! Help!" , I ask, and the male android acts. He grabs both of us in his arms, looks up and flies through the building. He doesn't stop until we are in space. He flies to a space station and puts us down inside. Seems to be an empty station. Emilia is fine now too, somehow. We start talking about some plan, what to do next. I also tell them stories of my past. All of them are false memories. These flashbacks make it impossible to make any sense of what really happened next in the dream. I recall a concert hall and another female android that was injected with some techno drug that removed her compassion. Since she wasn't treated well by the rich people around her, she didn't mind killing them. I also recall doing mild drugs and feeling relaxed in the space station. At some point I visited my hometown.

    2. Evolving Androids

      by , 12-30-2016 at 06:43 PM (Letaali's Dream Journal)
This is an older dream that I felt like sharing here.
      14.7
      Emergency teleportation kit

I'm on a space station. There are people and very advanced androids. I feel far away from Earth.
I explore the station and encounter something I thought was impossible. Some of the androids have evolved.
They have stronger parts. One in particular had arms made of shiny black metal alloy that was nowhere else on the station.
We didn't know what it was.

One of the androids became evil as it evolved. He saw me as a threat and dragged me to a room where they stored malfunctioning androids.
I was packed tight between two androids. A force field activated around this hexagon shaped...storage unit.
Before the walls encased me in darkness, the last thing I saw was the corrupted android's white, motionless, human-looking face.
It was like a mask and it was smiling with empty eyes.

I was in stasis. Years passed in seconds. I didn't feel hunger, thirst or fatigue.
Suddenly my life was allowed to continue. An android ripped the wall open and I saw light again. He was the one with black arms.
His arms could pass through the force field, he was the only one who could do it. I followed him through the dark space station.
By the looks of things, I slept through a few centuries. I felt sad, angry and alone.

The android led me to a storage room with old machines and supplies.
I managed to turn on one of the machines, but it didn't do the amazing things I thought it would. It was broken.
A few androids joined us in the search for one specific item: emergency teleportation kit. It was our only chance to get out of there safely, I assumed.
I also assumed the corrupted android was still around and that's why we were in a hurry.

After a while of searching we found a locker full of the kits we were looking for. I grabbed one and checked it. It wasn't empty. Awesome.
Loud noise from the door. The corrupted androids found us. We all hid. The dream fell apart as I was trying to hide.
    3. Android, duel, witch

      by , 01-05-2014 at 01:09 AM
A fragment in which I'm waiting for someone in a subway station and meet an android, though they've been banned. She looks human except for her eyes: they're filled with a constantly-moving white light, and her eyelids are covered in jewels.

Utena's dueling someone, and her clothing's changing as she does so. Other duelists are running up the stairs and arrive just in time to see her win, and Touga says something complementing her on her confidence, that she could trust that the changes going on around her would serve her.

He goes on to say something about those changes reflecting past eras, which transitions into images with some vague connections - something about a limousine, and then something about flight patterns with an image of a witch flying on a broom, which leads into the next scene:

A guy who's just now become a witch is looking out the window at the approaching dawn, and he wants to go flying and feel the world wake up around him; but he has responsibilities to attend to, keeping him here.

Two Doctor/Professors/Scientists in orange?- faintly reminded me of Half-Life 1 and 2. There were scientists and professors like them in a lab
setting that resembled my Mom's old house. I walked around watching them. There were grey figures walking around the room too- obviously
robots or androids of some sort.

The scientists were bustling around the room that I was in, programming the androids/cyborgs.
"Why are you so glitchy? Why are you stuttering?" One stops a dark grey robot to fiddle with his CPU brain.

      <memory skips>

Brent and I in a small but long room, Bowser is in it and we're trying to get to the other side. He pops up every now and then and we knock him
      away each time.
At the end of the room, a giant arena sits.
Giant MegaBowser falls from nowhere and starts jumping and crushing Brent, though he respawns. I wait until Bowser is distracted and I toss a
green koopa shell at him and knock him for a loop. He's dazed for a moment; But he jumps again, and I watch his shadow carefully to avoid him. I
warn Brent this time to watch his shadow, but he doesn't listen and gets hit a second time. I throw a giant koopa shell this time and it almost
      finishes Bowser off.

      <memory skips>

Now, Brent and I are in the old house's living room. The scientists are gone. I'm interupt him from a phone call with something important, and he's
enraged because he was trying to hear something talk so he could get numbers. At this point I get annoyed and annoy him further. He gets up to
      chase me or hit me.
I get away unscathed and end up talking my Aunt about Brent. She seems to know exactly what Brent is up to.

Me and Alex stargazing. "Wow the sky is so pretty..." I amuse myself with our view of the night-sky.
Alex says, "I wonder if there's anything else in THAT direction." or (I wonder if there's anything else that's not over there...)
We were talking about galaxies and planetary life or something else important. She points a certain direction as she talks
I say, "Nah, over there it's just the planets. And over there is another- and another there..."
Alex points something out in the nightsky. "What's that then?"

I look up. I giant explosion of stars and in the middle- a spiral of orange. The entire explosion resembles a phoenix, spray painted in MS PAINT.
The star-phoenix glimmers and pulsates slowly, and has layers of orange spraypaint. It's absolutely breathtaking and tragically beautiful. We walk
towards it and it starts to resemble a giant tree split in half, as if it were struck by lightning and on fire. It was a World Tree falling from a worldly
hill. What looked like wings before, now seemed like split trunks on their way down. My Dad appeared next to us, and I noticed there was a giant
iron overhang nearby with his truck underneath it. We ran to it as the tree began to fall in our direction. We made it under safely just in time. It
crushed the area around us except for the overhang, but the overhang wouldn't stand much longer with the weight of the tree on it.

"Don't worry, it's definitely gonna fall." We raced to his truck to save it from being crushed.
"Oh, I'm worried." I spit out.

    6. The Serial Killer and the Pleasure Hotel

by , 07-06-2006 at 07:23 AM (Visions in the Dark)
I was in some sort of futuristic train station. I vaguely remember getting on the train to escape a serial killer who was stalking me. I disembarked at one terminal and wandered down some stairs which eventually led to a basement room that was wrapped in saran wrap. The saran wrap was wound around the room like a spider web.

I heard someone coming and I panicked, thinking it was the serial killer. I forced my way through the saran wrap and went through a heavy warehouse door that led outside into the daylight. I ran for a while down a cobblestone road that followed a river. As the sun set I came across a some sort of ritzy amusement park with a large casino hotel in the center. It was VIP membership only, but I found a pass in my pocket and I was let through the gate.

The ushers and waiters in the casino hotel were very realistic looking androids, mostly male, and they were dressed up as slaves or superheroes. One such android, dressed as superman, led me through the casino to the reception desk where I found out that I had a reservation for a private luxury suite in the hotel. I had a full pass for everything in the amusement park and my hotel room had everything I would ever need and more, including my own "pleasure" android, alcohol and drugs!

I unpacked my stuff and changed and went down into the casino, which was like a nonstop party. I met a group of people who were having lots of fun and joining them in a drunken people parade around the building. The dream gets fuzzy here but eventually morning comes and I leave the casino by a Venetian boat that goes down the river. I cannot see the face of the man paddling the boat.
    7. Androids (meaning given)

      by , 01-19-1974 at 07:19 AM
Morning of January 19, 1974. Saturday.

I am at my middle school and in the large cafeteria. It seems to be the weekend though (as it is in reality). During this morning, in being here, I discover that most of my classmates have either been replaced by androids or have always been androids (even though their body shape is nothing like that of a real person - too simple and angular).

A girl I know; a classmate; Andrea M, is lying on her back, resembling a trapezoidal form, some sort of trapezoidal prism relative to her torso with only a few defined angles, not really resembling the human form. All of these “androids” (or whatever they really are) are not active in any way. It seems very strange to see the cafeteria filled with all these strange figures, most of which are on their back and not moving. They almost remind me of something you could just make using a fairly simple net (in the geometrical sense) folded about in the right ways. In some ways, they are almost like a type of furniture or could maybe even serve as a trapezoidal “cardboard box”. I do not think any other “real” people are around except perhaps a janitor (and we do not approach each other or interact).

Nothing much happens, though there is an odd level of curiosity as I walk about the large lunchroom.

An android or robot, or in fact any artificial person, especially if inactive (including even a doll, mannequin, ventriloquist dummy, or statue), is a “downgrading” of dream character projection. On one level, it may reflect the lack of awareness (of the conscious self) within the dream state, that is, a lack of conscious self dynamics (or conscious self identification) while in the dream. Characters rendered as such also imply static waking thoughts. The fact they are lying on their back may represent a subtle association of being aware of being in the dream state (yet still non-lucid).

The intriguing thing here is that the form of the “androids”, especially taking note of the closest (female) one, also reminds me somewhat of the shape of certain kinds of bridges as well as suggesting an overpass, of which represents the waking transition (dream self going over the bridge to coalesce into the conscious self).
