      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #103: Morgan Freeman

I'm in a library, laying down by some bookshelves and wearing nothing but some boxer shorts. A young, rather wimpy-looking guy with dark hair and glasses is looking through some books about thirty feet away, pretending not to notice me. I quickly throw my clothes on. I have no idea why I was unclothed, but I feel like I should explain myself to this guy.

I throw together a cover story, approach the guy and explain, "Don't worry! That part of the library is just where I like to recall any sexy dreams that I recently had." He visibly cringes. I cringe too. What in the world made me think that this was a good "explanation"? I feel very confused, both about my own dull-wittedness and the whole situation.

Embarrassed beyond belief, I mumble an apology and just sort of slink away into a different part of the library. After stewing in my shame for a few seconds, the strong emotion feels weird to me and
I realize with great relief that I'm dreaming.

No longer so defensive and inwardly-focused, I examine my surroundings. This part of the library is broad and open, with a floor of pure white marble, and a high, vaulted white ceiling. About fifty feet away is some kind of railing that surrounds a view of a lower floor. I walk toward the railing to check out this lower floor, but I'm distracted when I find myself walking next to Morgan Freeman. He's much shorter than I'd imagined (no taller than 5-foot-6) and moves slowly, as if decrepit and unwell.

"You're Morgan Freeman," I say. Astonishingly, I speak these words in Morgan Freeman's voice!

      "I am."

"Heeeeyyyyyyy," I say, testing out my amazing new voice. I do a theatrical hand-wave and really pile on the dramatic reading. "All of this... is a dream!"

He nods, smiling faintly. "Very nice."

"Everything sounds a lot better with this voice," I say. "How's this work? Is this dream teaching me how to talk like you? Am I still going to be able to sound like this when I wake up?"

He stops, giving me a cross look. "No."

I think for a moment about my goals. I can remember my primary goal of getting to the Alamo to catch up with Art, but I forget the Task of the Month and don't think to talk gibberish to Morgan Freeman. I'm planning on phasing through a wall in order to get outside or enter the void.

Morgan Freeman seems to sense that I'm about to leave and turns urgently toward me, suddenly speaking very rapidly. "Wait! Before you go, I need to tell you something that you have to do. You need to find Patricia [??some last name??] and you need to tell her about..." His voice becomes garbled and the scene breaks down. I expect to enter the void and transition from there to the Alamo but instead
      I wake up.

(I do know one Patricia but the last name had more syllables than hers does. I'm still stumped by this last part.)

I am in an unfamiliar house with many other people. It's clearly some kind of social gathering for older adults, with whom I somehow blend in. While mingling I come across the host, a black man in a white robe who looks like Morgan Freeman, but younger. He is addressing the whole room and although I don't hear all his words, I realize he's about to go around the room asking what everyone's spiritual beliefs are, and it becomes apparent that it is a move to single me out as the only non-believer in the room.

Of course, he goes straight to me and places his hands on my shoulder, smiling wordlessly, expecting me to profess my beliefs. I tell him uncomfortably that I'm atheist, which leads the whole room to let out an awkward laugh. The host turns to the crowd gathered around us and mentions that I am in need of saving and that I need to accept their God, clearly assuming I'd simply not been exposed to it. I correct him in his assumption and say, "I was born Catholic, raised Christian, and chose to be an agnostic atheist." This was more disturbing to them, which produced an even more awkward laugh. I laugh myself, feeling less uncomfortable than before, and am left alone.

My mother, sister, and I were planning on going somewhere that I did not want to. My mother convinces me to go by telling me that if we do, there might be presents there.

I breath underwater, notice that this is strange. The thought makes me uncomfortable so I come out.

I am very worried about my finances, I call my bank to talk to them about it. I am almost certain the service representative is Morgan Freeman.
    4. Forzare, Giant and back, Keeping Morgan Freeman the same size

      non-dream - non-lucid - lucid

30/11/10 I was with 2 people following a “case” we were trying to weed out a traitor in our midst. This all of a sudden means we have to climb a big building and we are looking at people coming down the sides. Although I am lucid at this point I am not able to comprehend that I am able to fly up there, primarily because the plot seems to be oriented around the Dresden Files. I soon figure out by way of my companion pointing out that Morgan Freeman, the other companion previously, has managed to reach the top of the building without getting caught by the bad guys climbing down. Right so I have my traitor and I figure the most prominent way to reach the top of this buidling will be with a spell. I point my hand to the ground and shout Forzare! and I fly massively high into the air. Already as I am on the way up I remember that I tend to have a problem with falling down, I don't freaking like it! However the fact that I am conscious about my fear hitting me, before it actually does so, means I am prepared for it and can control it. I manage a solution which partially means using the same spell, with less juice, to control my decent and partially turning into a giant of obscure proportions. I land on the roof top and Morgan Freeman, the traitor is ridiculously small compared to me. Damn I think, however this seems to be a tad premature as I actually do manage to shrink in size, with considerable less effort than what I have tried before. The only problem is that Freeman sees a way of loosing me by shrinking as well and after. So I stand there for a bit increasing the size and animation, from what is best described as a jelly bear, to a fully functioning version of the man, backwards and forwards. Which although it actually was entertaining to watch, was frustrating as hell because I couldn't keep him large.

I give up and fly out of the window without breaking it. I feel relieved as I have that amount of control available again plus the fact that I have managed to reduce in size and actually demonstrate some form of control over something external to me, something I am not normally too great at. I fly around for a bit until I can feel the dream slipping a bit, but I can't manage to stabilise it.
However I have a false awakening as I fall out of my bed and can hear myself talking. I notice that my flat mate can hear me again, but he shrugs it off, because he knows I am dreaming (Here is another great lucidity miss, just coming out of a lucid state, I am aware I am talking in my sleep and I know my flat mate is aware that “I am just dreaming”, yet I don't become lucid again) I wake up soon after.

Before going to bed I was watching "Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman".

I have now had a dream narrated by Morgan Freeman!

The dream was kind of like being in an IMAX where you are fully immersed in the image.

Unfortunately, I do not remember most of the dream, but the coolest thing I remember about it is this:

Morgan Freeman: "...however, looking at this this star..."
*the camera moves through a kind of zooming animation of space towards the star*
"... it has an Earth like planet orbiting in the habitable zone around it called "Marvin"..."
*The camera is rotating around a small Earth like planet, there is water, greenery visible on continents, and clouds visible in the atmosphere.*

I don't remember very much after this point, but I thought this was interesting.
