The Dark Tower: I F’d Up In One Place

I am in my bathroom. I am getting ready to go to bed. I am brushing my teeth. I look down and I see my kitty Shadow sitting in front of the tub. I know Shadow has crossed the Rainbow Bridge so I think she is a ghost. I go over and stroke her soft fur. I note how soft and silky the fur feels and I hear her reply with a purr. I keep petting her and she purrs louder. The bathroom door flies open and a man in robes who looks like Obi-Wan Kenobi rushes in, opens the toilet, then hikes up his robes and sits on the pot with an audible sigh of relief followed by some obnoxious noises. Shadow hisses at him and leaves the room. I am about to scold Obi-Wan Kenobi for scaring my ghost cat away, but I stop when I realize how absurd that sounds. Instead of getting mad at Obi-Wan Kenobi I pinch my nose to do a reality check. I am dreaming! Well that explains a lot…

I want to get to the Dark Tower world. Doors are frequently used as portals in the Dark Tower world so I close the bathroom door and focus on the idea it will lead to the Dark Tower world. Then I remember I said I’d try to get MoSh in on the dream so I change my focus to MoSh’s inner world. Obi-Wan Kenobi makes some more obnoxious noises and a foul stench wafts from the toilet. I really want out of that bathroom now. I open the door and hurry through. I look around now and I see a place I don’t recognize. It looks like a normal neighborhood. MoSh is there, I go tell him it’s Dark Tower time. He asks if Jamie can come. I can’t remember who Jamie is. I ask MoSh if Jamie can handle herself if things get ugly. He doesn’t seem to know. I tell him I’m heading for the Dark Tower, or that’s where I hope to go. I look around for a door. I don’t see any door standing alone so I go to the door to a house. MoSh says he doesn’t know who lives there. I say it doesn’t matter, it leads to the Dark Tower.

I open the door and step through into a field of roses. I am on a path leading through the roses to the Dark Tower, which is standing tall and dark at the end of the path in the middle of the roses. I hear a strange sound coming towards me from the tower and then the sound of Roland’s gun firing. There is an explosion not far from me as Roland tells me to get to cover for my father’s sake, he’s throwing sneetches! I look for MoSh and I see him there with a woman, they are headed towards the tower. The Crimson King is up on a balcony of the Dark Tower, I can see him in his red robes and hear him laughing like a maniac. Now he throws two of the spherical sneetches at once. I form each arm into an Alex Mercer blade and use the flat of the blade to knock them back, they explode safely in the distance. The Crimson King is having a tantrum. I look around again and I see some strange mutant Thalmor. When the Crimson King throws three more sneetches, I use my blades to knock them in the direction of those mutant Thalmor. Three of them explode in a bloody mess. Yuck.

I see MoSh off to my left fighting with a mutant Thalmor that has a tiny little head and huge arms, but I can’t focus on that much because the Crimson King is getting hugely frustrated with his inability to hit me with a sneetch even though I’m out in the open. He keeps throwing more and I knock them away, and if I miss any Roland shoots them out of the air. I loudly ask the Crimson King if that’s all he’s got, because if it is then he’s more pathetic than I’d originally thought… and I’ve always thought he was pathetic. He has another tantrum as I get closer to the Dark Tower. It really seems as if all he’s got are sneetches, as he throws more of them. Now I am aiming them back at him. This is a bit more difficult to do so it takes a few tries before it finally works. One explosion on the balcony leads to a much larger explosion, probably the rest of the sneetches getting set off by the first one.

Then I find I am with a couple other people at the base of the Dark Tower. Roland is there and he has been yelling a bunch of names, I don’t remember what names. Roland opens the door to the tower. I realize I still have the Horn of Eld. I’d hung on to it so it wouldn’t get lost before Roland reached the tower. Roland walks through the door to the tower and I quickly follow him to give him the horn. But when I get into the Dark Tower there is no sign of Roland. I am alone. I look around and start climbing. As I see familiar scenes in the rooms off of the stairway I realize that each person entering the Dark Tower would seem to enter their own instance of it… so I won’t be able to find Roland! Shit! I hurry up a few more levels until I have confirmed that I have fucked up royally. I focus on getting to wherever Roland is. At first it doesn’t work, but finally a door opens onto an endless desert. Roland is there and looks surprised to see me. I give him the horn and tell him if he wants to shoot me for my stupidity then go ahead. He just looks puzzled as I wake.
    2. The Dark Tower – Blaine is a Pain

The Dark Tower – Blaine is a Pain

I am in a green meadow near a stream. There is a deer here, she is drinking from the stream. I see there is a monorail track not far away. Then I know what is about to happen. I see the light from Blaine the Mono speeding along the track so I teleport over to the deer and form a shield around us. Blaine speeds past in a blur, stirring up a lot of debris in his wake. The sonic boom that comes after he passes is almost deafening. The deer I am protecting is scared but unharmed so I release her and she runs off. But I’m supposed to be on Blaine! I run parallel to the track and then jump up and fly. I focus energy into it and fly like the characters on Dragonball Z, speeding along the track to catch up with Blaine. I fly right next to Blaine for a bit, matching his speed but unsure of how to get in. I finally figure I should just phase through the wall of Blaine, so I try to focus on that… I manage to phase through the wall and then I make a spectacularly unimpressive crash into what looks like a piano, coming to a stop with a loud BRANG noise.

My sudden arrival has surprised everyone on the train except for MoSh, who is just looking over at me. Everyone else is wanting to know how I was flying, how was I flying as fast as Blaine, how did I get inside from out there. Blaine says I am rude for coming in uninvited. He also says I am rude for collecting all the toxic gas back in Ludd. I tell him I wasn’t being rude, I was simply solving his riddle… figuring a way to stop the toxic gas and still get on board to be with my friends. I never meant it to be rude. Good riddle, by the way. I was barely able to solve it. Blaine seems to accept my treating the situation as a riddle and is more than happy to take credit and praise for setting the riddle up. So having appeased Blaine for my unexpected arrival the riddling continues.

Roland is telling riddles one after another, and Blaine is answering each of them instantly, with no hesitation. Susanna and Jake seem to find that very disheartening, but Eddie looks like he has zoned off into another dimension. This appears to have annoyed Susanna, who looks like she’s about to bring Eddie back with an elbow to the ribs but thinks better of it when Roland shakes his head slightly while looking at her. MoSh says he has some riddles he could contribute. I know some, too. I can’t remember specific riddles, just that Roland, MoSh, and I took turns giving out riddles for a while but we weren’t having any luck in stumping Blaine. I am thinking Blaine is cheating with his vast databanks, maybe I should hack in and break the connection and see how many riddles he can solve then… Blaine says we are almost out of time, we are almost to the end of the line.

But now Eddie seems to be coming back to us and it looks like he is about to crack up laughing. He starts telling his silly joke / riddles, and that is clearly pissing Blaine off. He tells a dead baby joke, I’m not even sure if that really qualifies as a riddle since logic gets nowhere with it… but Blaine takes it as a riddle and refuses to answer. Roland says if Blaine is going to cry off then we win and he has to keep his promise. He gets mad and sounds like he’s having a tantrum more appropriate to a spoiled 3 year old. MoSh adds in a couple nonsensical riddles, and Eddie adds another… and now the only response from Blaine is a bunch of nonsensical sounds, quote fragments, and random words that make no sense at all. My next response is, “Cool… you broke his brain!” The entire system crashes, the lights go out, the engines shut down. But we might still crash. I tell everyone to gather around me and I’ll make a shield to protect us all. I form a force field around us, Roland is apologizing to Eddie, and then we crash. Once we’re stopped an emergency escape hatch in the ceiling pops open. Roland is asking if everyone is ok. I lower the force field but then I wake up.

The Dark Tower – Jake’s Drawing

I am in a forest. I am with a couple of other people. I am Arya. I am with two boys, although they look to be a bit older than I think I am. One of them I know as Gendry, the other one goes by unlikely name of Hot Pie. We are traveling through a forest, it is daytime out but underneath all of the trees it is somewhat dark. We seem to be having a disagreement about where we should be going. We finally decide to check on the road and see which way it is going. We have been avoiding the road to try to avoid trouble. We aren’t sure if someone might be after us. As we get closer to the road, we hear the sound of horses on it. We do not want to be seen. I look around and I see what looks like an abandoned house. That should be a good place to hide out. I tell the others that, but they don’t seem to believe me. Hot Pie seems to think he would be better off up a tree. Gendry looks up and decides that isn’t a good plan, so he finally decides to follow me to the house.

Gendry and I sneak in through a broken door on the back. Gendry wants to know what we should do if the people on the road spot Hot Pie. I am not sure how to respond to that. I tell Gendry that maybe we can find some food left in the house. Gendry goes into what looks like it used to be a kitchen and starts looking through cabinets. I go through a different door and find what looks like once was a living room. I feel something land of my head. I reach up to get it off, and I discovered that it is a mutant tarantula that is about the size of a softball. I don’t get easily freaked out by spiders, but this one seems especially gross. I threw it to the ground in repulsion. I look around and see more of the spiders crawling along the floor and on the ceiling. I turn around and go back the way I came. I don’t know if those spiders might be venomous, so I don’t want to get bit. I go back into the kitchen where Gendry went.

I have found the kitchen again, but Gendry is nowhere to be seen. I wonder where he could’ve gone? I look around the kitchen and then I go into the next room to see if Gendry continued exploring. I enter and I find a boy, but it is not Gendry. It is a young boy, he looks younger than Gendry. The boy stops short when he sees, and he asks who I am? I am not sure how to answer that. The boy says he hadn’t expected to find anyone else here. When I don’t respond, he says his name is Jake. I blurt out, are you there Jake looking for Roland of Gilead? He says yes, how did I know that? I look at my reflection in a dirty glass case. I am definitely still Arya. I tell Jake that I don’t think I’m really supposed to be here, but I will help if I can. I tell him my name is Arya since I figure he won’t know that name anyhow. We continue looking through the house. Jake is looking for a locked door which he has a key.

A man enters from another room. He looks familiar, I realize that it is MoSh. He says we don’t want to go into the room he just left, it’s full of venomous snakes. Jake seems quite surprised at the situation, he hadn’t expected to find anyone here and it’s turning into a crowd. We continue down the hall and go through a door at the end of it. That door leads into a very large room. Just this room is larger than the abandoned house I walked into as Arya. It looks like it might be a ball room. There is a somewhat creepy wallpaper on all the walls of elves dancing. They may have been intended to be cute, but they’re really more disturbing. We cross the room to a pair of double doors on the other side. These doors lead to another hallway. At the end of the hall is a door with a bright shiny lock panel on it. Jake is certain that is the door he has the key for.

As we enter the hallway, there is a loud noise behind us. We all turn around in time to see some kind of monster emerging from the wall. The wall itself seems to of come to life and it is now met a more for sizing into a strange creature. That’s strange creature looks a bit like an evil clown. There is an elf still on its forehead that seems to be actually dancing now. MoSh tells Jake to focus on getting through that door, we can keep the monster back. I wonder if he knows who I am? Apparently he seems to. The monster is now itself across the room on one huge malformed arm. MoSh has a pair guns look like Roland’s from the Dark Tower. I check my possessions and find out I have a sword. I hear Jake drop a curse and turned to look. Jake is now on the floor peering through a crack. I am about to ask what happened, but MoSh and I get distracted right away. The monster is throwing things at us. It is throwing debris in our direction. MoShs guns are firing small explosive rounds. Those are able to knock the flying junk right out of the air.

A second arm is coming out of the floor right next to me. I turn the sword on it and all of the fingers off. I hazard to look back and I see that Jake talking on one of the boards in the floor then he suddenly stops and switches to the one next to it that Bork comes up easily. Jay reaches through and grabs. Apparently he dropped it. Now that he has the key again, Jake is down the hall and shoves the key into the lock on the door. The door swings open, and on the other side of the door there is only solid ground. MoSh tells me to look out, and I realized I cut hand has reformed and is reaching for me again. I use my sword and once again off all the fingers. I think that is pissing the thing off. I glance back down the hall and I see that the door is open now. Roland is coming through, though he briefly pauses when he sees MoSh and me. He motions to us to come and stay low. Both MoSh and I head down the hall, ducking low. Roland says to let it go now, and it looks like he throws something big and invisible down the hall. I feel the wind it passing over my head and it crashes directly into the monster coming into the hall behind us. Roland helps Jake climb through / up out of the door, then he looks at me but I just levitate through the door. MoSh is close behind me.

Once we are all out the door slams shut behind us. The door was in the ground, which explains the confusion of direction as I came through. One minute I was floating forward and then I was hovering over the ground at a weird angle… It is also raining quite hard and the entire area is covered in mud. I see there is a circle of stones standing around us that looks like a smaller version of Stonehenge. The door we just came through dissolves into a drawing in the mud which washes out in the rain. But Jake has been brought through safely. Roland looks at MoSh and then at me. He says he hadn’t been expecting Jake to have a friend there… I am thinking of telling him who I am but before I can I see everything getting weird, like a scene in Assassin’s Creed. The scene falls apart and then reforms into the house I had been in with Gendry. Gendry comes through a door and asks where I disappeared to. I tell him I was looking through the house. Gendry says the horse riders have passed by and not noticed any of us, even that idiot Hot Pie perched in his tree. I follow Gendry back outside and then I wake up.
    4. The Dark Tower – Witchblades, Insanity, and Spiders

The Dark Tower – Witchblades, Insanity, and Spiders

I am in a forest, it is night time out. I see the glow of a campfire not far off. I approach that glow, I am hoping to find out where I am and why I am here. As I reach the campfire I see that there is a man here with a gun pointed in my direction. This is not an attack, it is just Eddie. He is there with Susanna, and Roland. Roland doesn’t seem to be paying any attention at all. I noticed that Susanna has no Witchblade. She needs to get a Witchblade that can form legs for her so she can walk. Eddie asks if I am looking to get myself shot? I tell him it wouldn’t matter if I did. He asks me if I want to die? I tell him sometimes I do, but not right at the moment. I tell him it wouldn’t matter because my real body is in another dimension sleeping right now. To me, this is a dream.

Now I turn to Susanna and ask if she would like things to be a bit easier? I tell her I have something that can help her. With this, she will never need a wheelchair again. She looks at me as if she doesn’t quite believe that. Roland has finally noticed my existence. I am not sure what wrong with him, but I am thinking it might be the madness that almost came up as a result of the paradox the man in black created. First I sit down beside Susanna and pull a Witchblade out of one of the pockets of my robe. I explained to her how it can help her. I tell her it might take a bit of getting used to, but the new legs would possibly work even better than her old ones. And the Witchblade can also produce armor or melee weapons. I tell her that I have one for everyone here if everyone wants one. Susanna accepts the Witchblade, but seems to have some doubts as to how well it will work. I also give a Witchblade to Eddie, who has been hearing me explain how it’s used Susanna.

Now I go over by Roland ask him how he’s doing. He doesn’t have to answer, I can see the answer in his eyes. I use the song My Last Breath by Evanescence to help Roland stabilize his mind. “Hold on to me, love, you know I can’t stay long. All I wanted to say is I love you and I’m not afraid. Can you hear me? Can you feel me in your heart?” After the song is done, it appears that Roland is doing better. He says that the voices aren’t gone, but they are much quieter. I take out another Witchblade and give it to Roland, explaining to him how it works. I am doing this when MoSh shows up. I noticed that Eddie is pointing a gun at him. He asked if both of us really want to die that badly? MoSh says he can’t die here. He then looks over and sees me giving Roland a Witchblade. He asked how many of those things I have? He says it seems like I never run out. I tell him that since I know the person who makes them, no I don’t ever run out. I also tell Roland that my technique won’t last, the only way to stop the voices for good to repair the paradox. They have to set things back on the proper course before the man in black fucked it up.

MoSh and I are trying to explain how the paradox works to the others when I noticed something moving in the darkness just outside the range of fire. I can’t see what it is, it looks like more darkness on top of darkness. It looks like the shadows have come to life. They seem to be moving closer, slowly but surely. Then one of them comes forward. It is a big black spider. It is about the size of a small dog, a Corgi. Eddie lets out a sound of the ocean before he manages to pull out a gun and shoot it. I am a bit surprised Roland doesn’t shoot. I look back and realize that he doesn’t even have any guns on him that I can see. I hear more gun fire right behind me and I turned around to see that MoSh has blasted more of the things that came into the light. There seem to be so many of them. My first thought is to create fireballs to burn the spiders, but then I think that might be a bad idea. I might end up starting a forest fire. So instead I focus on Enter Sandman and create a small whirlwind of energy that sucks the black spiders up and crushes them. I do that three times and there is much gunfire while I do that but finally the things stop coming. I hear MoSh asking what those things were, but no one seems to know, I only know they were made of dark energy. But I don’t even get a chance to say this before I wake up.
    5. When Worlds Collide

      When Worlds Collide

I am in a dungeon. As I am trying to get my bearings I see one of the doors open. A fat man comes out and tells someone inside the cell to seriously consider their options. The fat man leaves in the other direction. I then go to that cell door and I find it locked. I use the Harry Potter spell Alohamora to open it. The cell beyond is pitch dark so I use another Harry Potter spell Lumos to light the darkness. Eddard Stark is there, he looks in bad shape. He is staring at me and asks who I am. I say I am here to get him out, but first I have to take care of his leg. I use my hidden blade to cut a disgusting cast off of his right leg. The leg underneath is a mess. I focus healing energy through Eddard and the wounds rapidly heal. I tell him to come with me if he wants to escape. He is still speechless from what I did to his leg. He tests his weight on it and says it doesn’t hurt at all. I say of course it doesn’t, but now we have to go. He follows me into the hallway outside, I am wondering which way to go to get out of here. I have no memory of how I got in. We go around a corner and run into some guards. I toss Eddard a Witchblade and tell him it will form armor and a weapon. But as I am thinking we’ll have to fight, the world starts falling apart like it does in Assassin’s Creed between memories… then it reforms.

Now Eddard, two guards, and I are on a beach. It is night time out and one of the guards is too close to the water and he has appeared surrounded by the lobstrosities from the Dark Tower books. He starts fighting them with his sword. The other guard stares in stunned silence before turning his sword on Eddard and demanding he take us back. Eddard’s Witchblade forms into a sword and armor and they start fighting. Eddard is trying to say he has no clue how we got to this place and maybe they should work together to figure it out. The guard won’t listen, and Eddard ends up killing him. There is a loud bang as a gun fires not far up the beach. The guard fighting off the lobstrosities gets distracted and they swarm over him, literally tearing him apart. Eddard asks what that noise was. I say I think the source is friendly and I look in the direction of the bang. We go in that direction a short way and soon I can see Eddie and Roland by a campfire cooking one of the lobstrosities. I call out to Roland so he won’t think we’re sneaking up on them. I tell Eddard that I know these two men so there’s nothing to worry about here. We both walk over to the campfire with Eddie and Roland. Roland is asking who my friend is but I don’t get a chance to answer before things get weird again.

The first thing I notice is MoSh has appeared from nowhere. He comes over to the fire and greets us, also wanting to know who Eddard is. Before I can answer I see a spot up the beach that looks like an Assassin’s Creed memory switch, something is taking shape. A boy emerges and is running towards us, he has a sword in his hand. Roland is unsure and points his gun, asking who the boy is and saying he means no harm, but lower the sword. I recognize the boy… it’s Harry Potter! What is he doing here? Right behind Harry I see a huge snake take form. The basilisk! I yell to everyone to avoid looking the serpent in the eyes, its gaze is lethal! There is a deafening playing from behind me, and I glanced up in time to see one of its eyes explode. There is another bank from off to the side and I can tell that the other eye has also explored. That’s one weapon the basilisk will not be able to use. But the giant serpent still has it sense of smell, and it is single-mindedly going after hairy. Harry has stopped look around and ask what is happening here? The serpent lunges at Harry, and Harry puts the sword through the roof of the snake’s mouth. At the same time, the serpent sunk its fang into Harry’s shoulder. I am thinking that someone had better do something about healing that poison but I do not get the chance to. Here he disappears from site along with the giant snake.

I figured that now there will be questions about what’s going on, but there isn’t time for them. Enemies start spawning out of nowhere. These are zombies, they all have glowing blue eyes. We start fighting off the zombies. Roland is shooting with his gun, although he looks like he rather not be. I remember that he’s low on ammo at this point time. MoSh has a pair of guns look like Roland’s. I am thinking they probably take the same bullets, so maybe they could share. Eddard Stark is hacking away at zombies with a sword formed from his Witchblade. I form my right arm into an Alex Mercer blade and start hacking away in zombies. Fortunately they seem to be the usual stupid type of zombie. I hear Roland say that he is out of ammo, and sure enough, MoSh throws him a box. This takes Roland by surprise, but he still catches it. He reloads his guns faster than one would think possible. It appears that the only way to really take out the zombies is fight beheading it or blowing its head open. Other wounds don’t seem to hinder them much.

A few of the zombies are now looking different. They are a bit bigger, and they look more like Nazgul from the Lord of the Rings than regular zombies. I am facing off against one of these when I hear something behind me. I turned and looked and I see a huge wolf tackle zombie that was trying to attack me from behind. I then cut down a zombie who is about to attack a young man I don’t recognize. This young man is looking around as if very confused. I’m figuring he probably does not belong in this world. The wolf has no such problems with adapting to the new surroundings, and is ripping zombies apart one after another. I don’t have much time to consider these new arrivals, there are still too many zombies left. I turn my attention to one of the wraiths that are attacking, and I charge my Alex Mercer blade with light energy before slicing it into. It appears that only light energy can take out the wraiths, but that is OK because MoSh’s ammunition appears to be charged with light energy. Both he and Roland are able to take out the wraiths. After a bit longer, we are finally able to take out all of the enemies. The beach is now screwing with body parts.

Roland wants to know what those things were? The young man is now standing next to the giant wolf. He wants know where we are? This could get a bit complicated. The young man identifies themselves as Robb Stark. He asks if anyone has seen the Kingslayer? No one has a clue who he’s talking about. He thinks he is clarifying when he says the name Jaime Lannister. I know he means, but no one else does. I tell him Jamie Lannister is nowhere around here, or at least not as far as I know. Robb asked where we are again, because just a couple minutes ago he was in a forest near Riverrun. He has never seen this place. I start to try to tell him something, but right as I am trying he fades from existence. So does the giant wolf. I grab hold of Eddard Stark. I don’t want him to be sent right back to the dungeon. For a short time he had started to fade, but now he seems solidify again. I wonder how badly I’m fucking things up.

Eddie is asking what the fuck is going on? Roland acts like he knows what’s going on. He says it can’t be happening yet though, can it? Eddie asks what is happening? Roland says the tower must be breaking down faster than expected. He says that’s the only explanation that makes sense. As the tower breaks down, the barriers between the different worlds are getting thinner and starting to break down. As this happens, the normally separate worlds get closer to each other and start to bleed into each other. He says these weird crossings won’t stop until he reaches the tower and does what has to be done. He says it will just keep getting worse. Eddie asked what is it that needs to be done? Roland says he does not know. I am thinking that maybe MoSh could help me explain what might be happening. I look around but I don’t see him. Apparently he has awakened. I turn back but then everything around me fades to black and I wake up. This was one messed up dream.
    6. The Dark Tower – Shootout Between Worlds

The Dark Tower – Shootout Between Worlds

I am Ned Stark. I am riding a horse down a dark street in a medieval town, there are other people here with me. Three of my own people, and one other is called Little Finger, but I call him Little Dick. I don’t like Little Dick. But so far, I have managed to refrain from calling him Little Dick to his face. We are riding along the street when some other people get in our way. I recognize Jaime Lannister. Jaime is annoyed about my wife kidnapping his brother. This isn’t true, Tyrion went with my wife willingly. Jaime won’t hear it. Little Dick tells him to get out of the way. By now Jaime has his own people surrounding us. There are a dozen of them. Jaime says that Little Dick can go. Little Dick says he’s going to get the city guard. Jaime says he knows he can’t do me any harm without risking my wife killing his brother. Jaime leaves the circle of soldiers as if they are going to leave us alone. But as he leaves he says that I cannot get out of this without being chastised, and tells his men to kill mine. Three men are with me as guards. It is raining hard, so I think if I can summon a bolt of lightning it won’t look out of place. My people have drawn their blades, and I do the same. We are ready to fight. I am focus on the song Battery by Metallica. I feel an electrical charge building around us, but then everything changes.

It’s as if the entire world around us has melted away. It looks like the Assassin Creed games when you’re switching from one memory to the next. The world falls apart around us, and then reforms into something completely different. My three men and I are still on our horses. Jaime’s people still surround us with their blades drawn. But we are not on the street. We are in what looks like a large executive office. Both Jaime’s people and mine appears stunned to inactivity. There are a lot of thugs who might be working for the mafia. There is shooting going on. We have appeared in the middle of a shootout. Since Jaime’s people were surrounding mine, they start getting shot first. I hear someone yelling something about shooting the spooks. I am really not sure what to do, but being on a horse doesn’t seem to be beneficial. I get off of the horse to make less of a target. I wonder what happens if Eddard gets killed in this weird world. One of the thugs has gotten too close to me with his gun. He’s now close enough to take out with my sword, so I do so. I take cover behind an overturned table.

There is complete chaos in the room, horses screaming and panic, people yelling and confusion, other people just yelling for blood… I see one of the thugs taking aim at a young man. I cut him down from behind. The young man looks over at me and looks really confused. I am thinking he is probably surprised to see someone dressed in medieval armor that appears to come from nowhere. I noticed a weird sensation, my hair is standing up on end as if electrified. But I haven’t been focusing on battery… I hear horses crying out I think they’re getting shot, and then the world falls apart again. One of the horses, having been shot, collapses right on top of my leg. I can feel my leg has broken badly. I tried to look around, but all I see are bodies. Every one of Jaime’s men are dead, and mine are, too. I wonder how I managed to avoid getting shot. I am trying to get my leg out from underneath my fallen horse. I can’t do it. The horse is dead. I try to use telekinesis to move it, but that doesn’t seem to be working. I hear someone coming. I am still trying to get free when I hear someone coming. Everything fades to black as I lose consciousness.

      ********************

The other side: I am on beach. It is night time, and I look up and down the beach to try to figure out where I am. I see a door, it looks like it doesn’t lead anywhere. I can see and triangle of light shining through. This is one of the doors from the dark tower books. I go over to the door to see which one it is. I noticed a large crowd the lobster preachers all fighting over something on the beach. What the fuck? I ignore them, and go through the door. On the other side of the door I’m in a bathroom. I hear the sound of gunfire from the next room. I know where I am. This is Balazar’s place, and this is where Eddie and Roland are in their shootout. I go through the door into the office to help. The shootout has already begun, I am reminded of this by the deafening roar of Roland’s revolver. There are a lot of other people here, most of them I don’t recognize. I see one that I do recognize. It is a young man with guns look like Roland’s, I think it might be MoSh. I see MoSh take out a couple of thugs with a couple more deafening blasts from the guns. I am still thinking that my abilities won’t work, so I take a gun off of a dead body that has fallen near me. A thug not very far away asks who the fuck am I? He then says it doesn’t matter, if he doesn’t know me then I’m going to die. I see he’s got that backwards. I quickly aim my weapon and shoot him right in the head. I see another thought taking aim Roland from behind, and I put a bullet in him, too.

That’s when things get weird. People materialize in the room from nowhere. Four of them are on horses, and there’s about a dozen more dressed in medieval armor and wielding swords. I’m not sure what to make this, I don’t remember the previous part of the dream. I hear a man yelling to kill the stroke, then he adds kill all of the spooks. Apparently they think the strange are spooks of some kind. Most of the new arrivals seem too stunned by their new surroundings to do much of anything. One of them acts quickly and slides off of his horse. I see a couple of them manage to take out a thug or two with their swords before they get shot. I’m not sure if these bullets are armor piercing rounds, or if the armor just isn’t very good, but it doesn’t seem to be protecting them. I feel bad that the horses getting shot. Then, just as quickly as they arrived, the strange visitors fade from existence. Both the living and the dead disappear, leaving no trace they ever existed. The man I think is MoSh is not far from me, he asks what the fuck was that? I tell him I don’t know. Soon all the thugs are dead. I see one final thug come to the doorway. He throws something at Eddie, it is a severed head. Eddie freaks out and start shooting at the guy, but he gets only one bang and the rest are dry clicks. Roland shoots the guy in the head, and he falls dead. Eddie keeps trying to shoot him, that was his brother’s severed head and he is both hurt and pissed. I wish I could do something to help, but I don’t get a chance to. Everything fades and I wake up.

The Dark Tower – Déjà Vu

This may be the first dream I’ve had for a while. It was a Dark Tower dream. But it seems like a rerun. I am in the town of Tull. This is that first town where are the Man in Black left a trap for Roland. I only briefly pause, thinking this isn’t right, but I don’t really give it that much consideration. I see Roland here. He is going to a small house. I go towards him, but he has not yet seen me. Roland knocks and then kicks the door down. I go inside behind him. There’s a fat woman here sitting on a chair looking like she’s waiting have sex with him. She says she has been touched by God. She has actually been fucked by the Man in Black. She says she will be giving birth to a king. Roland says she will be giving birth to a demon. She doesn’t seem to want to believe it. Roland asks why the Man in Black healed a man called Nort, who was a weed eater. She says that’s what angels do, they heal people. And then I speak for the first time. I ask her if he was an angel, why did he not fully heal Nort? He healed the body, but left the torment of the addiction. The Man in Black brought Nort back only for more suffering. No angel would do that. Both of them look over at me, surprised to see me. The fat woman says something about there being two interlopers and then demands that we leave.

Roland and I are heading back towards where he left his mule. He says there may still be time to avoid the trap. I’m not sure exactly what he means, but I know these people are being controlled by a force of evil. I see them looking out of their homes and buildings with darkness in their eyes. I tell Roland I can heal. At least most of them. Maybe not all of them. He looks at me strangely, and then says he’ll give me every chance he can heal them, but if they come at him he will have no choice. I tell him I understand. After claiming the mule, all hell breaks loose. I am using the song Full Moon Light from the Devil Hunter soundtrack to purge the darkness from this area. Above, the light energy forms what looks like a moon hovering over the town. The entire town is bathed and it’s light. Most of the people look disoriented and confused, and then they pass out. A few others continue their attack. Roland makes quick work of them I am figuring that the ones that continue their attack probably beyond saving. Roland asks about the unconscious ones. I tell him that they should be fine a while. He goes into a local bar and start taking some supplies. He leaves gold on the counter in exchange for them. Roland wants to know who I am, but not here. He says we should get out of town before they all wake up.

Roland and I walk out of town. I am expecting to be looking out over a vast desert with no sign of life, but instead it seems that the town is surrounded by more people. These people look like zombies. Roland says it looks like there’s going to be more shooting after all. Zombies are closing in around us. Roland asks if I can heal them? I already know that I cannot. I tell Roland that as I form my right arm into an Alex Mercer blade and the zombies approach. I noticed that we aren’t alone. MoSh is here. MoSh asks if I’d intended to leave him out of this? There’s no time to answer. The zombies are upon us. Roland’s guns are deafening. He is firing quickly and repeatedly, taking out a zombie with each shot. All of them are headshots. MoSh has some guns of his own. He is also blowing away zombies, the bullets he is firing explode on impact, incinerating the zombie. I am cutting down any zombies to get past the gun fire range. The zombies look pretty much like normal zombies, except for their eyes. Their eyes are solid black, and it looks like there is an eternal abyss within each zombie. After the zombies have all been defeated, MoSh comes over and looks at me. He asks if we didn’t already do this earlier? I have a sense of déjà vu. I tell him I think we already did this part. Roland is looking at us both strangely, I know he’ll have questions. I don’t have time to think much more on the topic, I wake up.

The Dark Tower – River Crossing

I am with Roland, Susanna, Eddie, Jake, MoSh. We are all making our way along a very old road. In the distance up ahead I can see what looks like a city. It looks like the type of city I would see in my own world, but it is clear that is not where we are. Eddie seems to think it looks like New York. I am not sure what city it could be, but I get a bad feeling about it. Part of me thinks we should go around it, but another part says there we have a train to catch there. We cannot go around. Before we get there however, we approach a small town. The town looks to be abandoned with many buildings that are falling down. Roland however says that he has a feeling there are people there. Eddie asked if they’re friendly? Roland asks if a strange dog may bite? In other words, he doesn’t know. We start making our way through the town at a rather slow pace. The purpose is so that they don’t feel threatened by a quick approach, but also we don’t look like we’re scared and easy targets. We come to an intersection. It crosses at right angles to the one we’re on. Roland picks up a rock and throws it at a metal box that’s hanging over the street. There is a loud clang, a bell rings, and a flag pops out of the box. It is a green flag that says go. Eddie thinks it is an old version of a street light, Susanna thinks that Roland just did something stupid, MoSh seems occupied with something that he sees off to the left. He is looking at what appears to be a large courthouse or church.

As MoSh is watching the building, a couple of people emerge. One of them is an old man, and he is leading an old woman. The old woman seems hesitant and nervous, but the old man seems quite excited to see us. The old woman keeps asking if we are harriers? The old man says no, he’s never seen a harrier with a weapon like that. He is indicating the guns sticking out of Roland’s holsters. The ones with the sandal wood grips, clearly they are distinct weapons of a gunslinger. We approach the two, and the man looks at the guns in awe. He says that we are no harriers, but there is a gunslinger with us. Roland speaks to them in a very respectful manner. I think he is using what they call the high speech, but I can’t be sure since my translator translates everything pretty much equally. As he speaks to them, the old woman’s face lights up. She says that he is a gunslinger. I take a closer look at her and see that she has no eyes. That is how come she did not know for sure he was a gunslinger until she heard him speak. Roland lets the blind woman feel one of the guns. We follow the old people back through the courthouse. Behind it there is a hidden oasis. They have a beautiful garden back there, and I can see they also have areas where they grow their own crops. They keep it all well hidden from the main streets so that roving harriers do not become aware of it.

There is some more old people there. Two of them are twins, and the first thing that pops into my mind are Fred and George Weasley when they tried to cross Dumbledore‘s age line and became old. There is an elderly woman there who seems to be their leader. She is no doubt the village elder. She asked us if we will come break bread with them, and then palaver. She says she can see we are on a quest, though she knows not what we are seeking. Roland says that we are seeking the Dark Tower. She makes the sign of an evil eye, and says that is an accursed place. She says no one who has gone seeking the Dark Tower has ever returned. I feel like telling her that we are going to change that, but I don’t see the point. I noticed that MoSh is talking to a couple of the people. I can’t hear what he saying though. At this point the elder and one of the some of the others lead us through into a beautiful garden. It is here that we sit down and prepare to have our meal. There are no seats or tables, but it is very nice setting. The woman who is the leader announces our presence to everyone who is gathered. She announces Roland’s arrival as the return of the light. It is clear they hold gunslingers and very high esteem.

The meal, which proves to be a wonderful thing, starts off with a drink that is some kind of a spiced cider. Roland warrens Jake not to drink much or will be carrying him out. I don’t generally like alcohol, but the stuffs pretty good. I noticed for the first time that there is a Billy Bumbler following Jake around. I hadn’t noticed Oy was with us. The people bring us food, and I feel rather bad about eating any of it since I don’t really need to eat in the dream state. But that seems like a rather lengthy thing to try to explain to them, and if I don’t explain and just refused to eat I’ll appear rude. So I decided at some point after this I will restore some of their food supply in exchange. I guess it’s a good thing that I came to an acceptance of eating some of their food because the desert is some kind of amazing cake that I don’t think I could’ve said no to. Soon in the meal is done, as if to announce its completion Eddie let out a loud burp that is acepted as a complement to the chef. The chef deserve lots of compliments. Then most everyone else leaves, because they say it’s time to palaver. The elder is asking if we won’t stay the night, but Roland seems to think we need to move on quickly. They’re also suggesting that we should go around the city, which they have named blood, but Jake seems convinced that we have to go through it. I remember from the books that we have a train to catch.

The rest of the time is spent exchanging stories and getting as much information about Ludd as possible. There is a single bridge leading in, and once inside there are two groups, the Greys and the Pubes that are always fighting and will no doubt both want to take Jake. There is also talk of Blaine the Monorail. Stories of this train indicate it can go faster than the speed of sound. These people tell of seeing it go by on the railway in the distance and then hearing a huge explosion shortly after it passed, which sounds like a sonic boom to me. They say the train hasn’t traveled for many years, though they can’t seem to agree on how many years. The blind woman insists she has heard a train leaving Ludd and heading in the opposite direction. While the other people in the town don’t seem to believe her, I am thinking she is right… being blind would enhance her hearing and if the wind was blowing right she might have heard even the distant sounds of the train leaving. My mind has wandered somewhat while listening, and I notice MoSh is nowhere to be seen… I wonder if he wandered off or woke up. I don’t have much time to wonder before I wake up.

      Castle in the Mist

I am with my mother. We are standing on a ridge overlooking a valley. My brother lives somewhere out there. I find this distressing, because when I look out over the valley all I can see is smoke. I’m not sure if there was a fire or if it is pollution. I am thinking my brother John is in danger. We need to get to John. I am looking for a way down into the valley. It seems everything is closed due to current conditions. No one wants to listen when I say my brother is down there. Then I find a way to get closer. I’m not sure if the situation changes or if the dream changes, but now I find myself on a crowded trail headed towards a castle on a hill. My brother did not ever live in a castle. It appears to be a tourist attraction. There still seems to be a large amount of pollution around it. The castle is shrouded in smog and it is hard to see from a distance. I still take pictures with my phone, even though it is little more than a silhouette. I am with some people. I’m not sure who, maybe my mother, maybe MoSh, I’m not sure. Maybe other tourists. The procession approaching the castle is quite slow. That is to be expected with a tourist attraction. There are also people talking along the way, giving information about the castle. There is a lot of talk about it being haunted. It is announced that there are four guest rooms or dormitories in the castle, and anyone who has the nerve to stay in them can do so. I don’t think anyone wants to admit there are scared, but no one steps up to find out about renting the rooms.

As we approach the pollution seems a lot more malevolent. I am wearing my usual Assassin’s robes, and that is something I turn out to be glad of as we get closer to the castle. I see swarms of bugs in the sky. But when we get closer to them, it turns out they’re not just flies. It is a swarm of flying bugs of some kind. They look like small flying slugs or something. Slimy and fat and they look malignant. They look like they shouldn’t be able to fly because they are too big. They are swarming around everyone, and trying to get close to them. I see some people are having problems with the things trying to get into their clothes, mouths, noses, and ears. I’m not squeamish about bugs, but that is grossing me out. So I pull my hood all the way forward and then pull the edges of it together over my face. I can barely see where I’m going, but the bugs don’t seem to be able to find any access. We pass through the bugs in a relatively short amount of time and then I am able to open up my hood again. Now we are closer to the castle and can see it better. I take some more pictures of it. I have heard someone say that we shouldn’t take pictures, but that is one of the main reasons I came… I seem to have forgotten about John. I am wondering if this means it is fake, and they’re afraid people will be able to identify their tricks. But the feeling of malevolence I sense pretty much dismisses the idea. I take more pictures, ignoring the people saying that we are not supposed to. I know that photographs sometimes reveal things that the human I cannot see.

As we head away from the castle, I find a pile of silver coins. They aren’t worth much, but they seem like a good souvenir. I am thinking I might be able to identify some aura or energy around them once they are separated from the malevolent source. I pick up a couple of silver coins about the size of silver dollars and slip them into my pocket when no one is looking. I’m sure I am not supposed to do that. We return through a visitor center, but now the museum displays are twisted and strange. There are now images of torture and death instead of articles of ghost sightings. The people are weird her. Almost everyone is having sex. They’re doing it everywhere. Everyone is in various stages of undress, and they are in various groupings having vigorous sex. I have no idea why they all decided to fornicate in the halls and on the streets. I think it has something to do with the haunted castle. I am feeling no urge to take off my robes, however. A couple people approach me as if they are interested in doing so, but in spite of what I think might be a demonic cause, they are not interested in doing it by force. When I turn them down, they just move onto the next willing participant and go at it. I hurry through this area along with several other people that seem unaffected. We soon make it past those areas. I look back at the castle in the distance, it appears much further away than it should be now. It is once again shrouded in smog. I wake up here.

The Dark Tower – The Final Drawing

I am in a grassy area with a couple of other people I recognize. Roland Deschain, Eddie Dean, and Susanna Dean are all there. They seem surprised as if I have just appeared out of nowhere. I in a Dark Tower dream. I wonder if MoSh is around somewhere. I don’t see him. We are following a very old road. I see Susanna has learned to use her Witchblade legs well. She is walking with confidence. Eddie is walking beside her holding her arm, but it is not to help her keep balance. It’s because they are in love. We keep going and come to a grassy hill. There are stones standing around it. Roland says this is a speaking circle. He says there will be a demon there and it will be either male or female. He says if it is a female, he will have to keep it distracted while Eddie does what he has to do. He says if it’s male, then Detta Walker would be better suited to it… or me. He says he doesn’t know whether I would be able to deal with a demon or not. I tell him I can kick the demon’s ass. He says it’s not that simple. He says the demons only weakness is sex. He says that is both its strength and it weakness. I tell him that if the demon is a male I’ll rip his dick off and shove it so far up his ass that he’ll be giving himself a blowjob. Roland seems to think I’m not quite understanding correctly.

We soon come to the circle. We enter into it, and Eddie takes out what looks like a sharp stick. I’m thinking that he is going to stake the demon through the heart as if it was a vampire. I blurt that I didn’t realize we were dealing with vampires. Then I can’t help but laugh. Roland thinks I’m losing it. Eddie goes over to a spot slightly up the side of the hill. He starts drawing in the ground. His stick is sharp enough to cut through the grass and into the dirt. Roland is insisting that the only way to keep the demon off of Eddie will be for one of us to have sex with it. I’m sitting there thinking there will be nothing gained by Eddie drawing pictures in the dirt while the rest of us fuck demons. I sense that there is something approaching. I wonder if it is the demon? We wait for a bit as Eddie draws. Something is approaching us from beyond the circle of stones. Many somethings. Was Roland wrong in thinking there is only one demon? Perhaps we will all have demons to fuck. But these are not demons, or not as far as I can tell. These are those cloaked things from earlier. It looks like masses of darkness concealed in cloaks. Shadow demons, though they are not actual demons.

There are many of the cloaked figures. They are circling around the speaking circle. I wonder what they are doing here. I step out of the circle and ask one of them what they want here? The one that I spoke to says they want for Roland to turn ‘it’ over. I asked what ‘it’ is? The cloaked figure says Roland knows. I tell the cloaked figure I have something that I will give it… but it won’t like it. The figure says there are too many of them here, this time there is no way we can win. We should just hand over what they want or everyone here will face a fate far worse than death. Before I can answer this, Roland answers for me. He pulls out his gun and blows the thing’s head off. That seems surprisingly effective for something that looks like a shadow demon. I tell the next one I am in full agreement with Roland’s answer. If they don’t want to be destroyed they had better leave. The only response I get is a hollow laughter. I notice absently that it started pouring rain, but I am barely noticing the wet. It is time to kick some ass.

The cloaked to figure had been right… There are too many of them. So I will even the odds a bit. Divide by Disturbed will have to do the trick. “I’m going to tear a big hole in what is to be, to end all this infatuation with unity. I’m seeking my salvation alone again, I never needed to be one if you anyway. Don’t want to be another player losing in this game, I’m trying to impress upon you that we’re not the same. My own individuality is so unique, I am one impressive motherfucker now wouldn’t you say?“ then with each repetition of the word divide in the chorus I split in two. So it goes from 2 to 4 to 8 to 16… “You might say that I’m the last one standing! And though you try you’ll never find a way to break me! You might say that I’m sick of being stuck in the crowd, I hear the sirens but they’re never going to take me!“ Now that there are 16 of me I form my right arm into an Alex Mercer blade. All of my duplicates do the same. We now have the entire speaking ring surrounded, and there’s no way the cloaked figures can approach Eddie, Roland, or Susanna. Then I hear Roland say the demon is coming as well. I’m a little busy though. Susanna says it is a male, then calls out to someone I can’t see that the pussy is over here. I kind of tuned him out for now. I remember they were able to handle the demon in the book, but these clocked figures aren’t supposed to be here. So all 16 of me start cutting down the cloaked figures where ever they stand.

I take a glance over towards Eddie. He has completely drawn a door in the ground and is drawing a knob. The door knob becomes three-dimensional, and there is a keyhole. He sticks his wooden key in and tries to turn. It won’t budge. It looks like he’s about to freak out. It looks like Susanna is having some pretty wild sex. Although I think she may be the one in command of it. I can sense something on her that seems to be trying to pull away. Eddie pulls out a knife and makes a very delicate cut on the key. There are a couple more cloaked things left, and they seem to be trying to get away. I am thinking that this should not be allowed. Before they can get very far I use the tendrils of Alex Mercer to impale both of them and tear them apart. With all of the cloaked figures gone, all 16 of me merge back into one. Eddie has turned the key, and the door is opening. Roland pulls Susanna over near the door. He says that when he tells her, she should let go of the demon. I look through the door, and I see MoSh. He is coming up a hallway with a boy. That must be Jake. It looks like the house has come to life around them. There is a monster with several large holes in its face, and it looks pissed. It has a huge gaping mouth that looks like it’s ready to eat anything can get a hold of. That’s when Roland tells Susanna to let go of the demon. He tells MoSh to duck, and then he grabs something invisible from Susanna and throws it into the hallway. MoSh ducks down and the demon goes straight the monster’s gaping mouth.

MoSh and Jake come up and out of the door. This point the door slams shut. And then it turns back into a drawing. The rain is quickly washing that drawing away. MoSh has been helping Jake along, and it looks like Jake got hurt somewhere. His leg is pretty messed up. It doesn’t look difficult to heal however. I focus healing energy through Jake’s leg. We are all getting hopelessly soaked. It is pouring rain, though this seems to be the first time I’ve noticed how wet I am. MoSh is wanting to know who the fuck these cloaked things are anyway? Maybe I should’ve kept one of them alive so that we could find something out from it… but dead shadow demons tell no tales. Maybe I’ll be able to keep that in mind next time. I’m feeling a little strange, right now I am wanting to get mad at Roland and tell him that he needs to open up another door so that I can get out of my prison. Whatever cause that reaction, I don’t know. But I don’t get to find out because everything fades and I wake up.

The Dark Tower – Missed Contact

I am with Roland, Eddie, and Susanna. I look around to see where we are. Roland, Eddie, and Susanna have been making a journey. I am not sure where they are going, but they’re following a path of distraction. I start remembering. This path of distruction was left by Bearzilla, the giant cyborg bear. They seem to be having difficulty with pushing Susanna in her wheelchair. I think maybe I have an idea. They stop, and I hear Roland talking about Susanna getting a piggyback ride. She really seems to hate that idea. I see Roland has a harness on his back that it looks like someone could ride in. I catch up to them and say I have a possible alternative. A sentient Witchblade can form into weapons and armor, why not legs? I reach into the pockets inside my robes and pull out a Witchblade. It looks like a simple bracelet right now. Everyone is wondering how I managed to get there without any of them knowing. Especially Roland. I hold out the Witchblade to Susanna. I tell her that can help. She says she doesn’t see how a bracelet can help her walk. I tell her to put it on, and it will show her.

While she is sitting in her wheelchair, Susanna slips the Witchblade onto her wrist. It tightens there so that it is firm but not uncomfortable. I tell it to give her legs. The Witchblade forms into armor. But the armor continues and forms complete legs where Susannah’s end in stumps. Everyone around is completely amazed. I tell her it might take some getting used to these new legs. She may need to learn to use them first. I’m not sure how it will feel. She sits there and looks at her legs for a minute, and then moves one of them. She lifts her right leg and stares at the Witchblade foot. She tries to get up from the wheelchair. It is clear that she’s not very stable on the Witchblade legs. Eddie comes over to steady her. With Eddie for support, Susanna takes the first few steps that she has taken for many years. I pull two more Witchblades from my pocket. I gave one to Eddie and one to Roland. I told them that they may not need assistance in walking, but it will still form armor or melee weapons if they need them. I think they’re about to ask some more questions, but the dream has been a pretty short one, and I wake up.

      ----------

It seems like it is later in the same dream, but I woke up a little bit in between. I am in a small area where Eddie and Susanna are huddled together on one side of a nearly extinguished campfire, and Roland is on the other. Roland seems very restless. Is tossing and turning, and talking in his sleep about Jake. He keeps calling to Jake as if he thinks the boy will answer somehow. He does not seem sane. I assume it is the paradox. Susanna asks if Eddie thinks they should wake him up to get him out of the nightmare? Eddie says he wouldn’t dare. He points over at gun that is lying on the ground not far from Roland’s hand. I told them that I will do it. They do a double take, looking up at me. I repeat I will help Roland, even if he shoots me it wouldn’t hurt me. So I quietly go over to Roland. I even levitate a little bit off of the ground so I won’t make even a sound. I get so close to him that I’m whispering in his ear. The song My Last Breath by Evanescence. “Hold on to me, love. You know I can’t stay long. All I wanted to say is I love you and I’m not afraid. Can you hear me? Can you feel me in your heart?” As the song continues, Roland seems to calm down. Finally as it is ending he relaxes completely. I believe his dreams are now gone. His sleep is dreamless. I tell Eddie and Susanna that he should be OK now for a while. And soon this paradox will be resolved. And then I wake up.

      ----------

I am with Roland and the others again. This time we‘re just sitting and talking. Some of the talk is about the Witchblades, where I try to explain some things about them. That they have minds of their own and will respond to unseen threats and they also respond to their wearer’s mental commands making them like an extension of the wearer’s body once they’re fully adapted to each other. Then Roland starts talking about MoSh. He asked if I know my friend was there earlier? He says that MoSh was there with them earlier, and he is certain that moSh has had formal training as a gunslinger. I tell him I did not realize that MoSh had been there. I ask him what happened? He said he and MoSh were talking, then they found a nest of weird mechanical things that attacked them. He says that even his old teacher Cort would have been impressed by MoSh’s shooting. I ask him for what details he can remember. I tell him that since this is a dream state for us, sometimes we have trouble remembering. Anything that I can tell MoSh might help him remember.

Roland says they were traveling along the path that the bear had left when they heard strange mechanical noisees. He said he and Eddie went to check it out. He said they saw was six little robots moving around in a circle. There were a lot more around them, but they all appeared to be dormant. He said that Eddie started shooting the little robots. He says Eddie shot all but one of them. The last one was coming at them, right as Susanna came over to see what was going on. Eddie took that one out as it was attacking Susanna. Eddie was getting pissed off at Roland because he thought Roland had left Susanna in danger. And while Eddie was getting pissed off, a couple of flying things attacked them. Roland says he shot those easily. Roland says MoSh came up to them and asked if there was a problem? Before Roland could answer, a whole flock of flying things attacked. There were so many of them that it took all four of them shooting to get them all before someone got attacked. He says he did not see MoSh miss even once. I tell him that that’s good, and I hope that MoSh will remember this when I tell him. I also hope I will remember this so that I can tell him. Roland says he is very interested in this method of travel we seem to have. This dream travel. I tell him that’s hard to explain. And I don’t have a chance to try before I wake up.

The Dark Tower – Split Timelines

I am at a campsite. It is dark out, and I am there with several other people. I see Roland, Eddie, Susanna, and MoSh. Roland seems to be having some difficulty. He says he’s going crazy. I remember in the books this is the result of a paradox orchestrated by the man in black. Roland is telling stories, one that he says is real and one that he says was supposed to be real. I do not interrupt his telling. Mosh also stays quiet during this time. Although he seems a bit distracted. I wonder if he sees something out in the darkness. Those strange cloaked figures maybe… After Roland has finished his story, Eddie gets part of the concept correct. He draws a line at the beginning for the timeline before Roland met Jake. Then he skips a space and draws a line after Roland parted ways from Jake. He draws a circle in the middle and says that that is what we’re going to has to just ignore. Roland says that won’t work. He can’t just ignore it. I tell Eddie I can add a bit more detail to this.

I set to drawing in the circle. I draw the two separate lines that represent the two separate timelines that now exist. I point to the one on top and say this is the timeline where you met Jake. I point to the one on the bottom and say this is the timeline where you did not meet Jake. Both of these things are true at the same time. The only thing that got it all fucked up was the man in black. I draw a few extra things on the timeline. I draw the door where he met Eddie, the door where he met Susanna, and last the door where he interfered with Jack Mort. I tell him at this point, the man in black created the paradox by arranging for him to save Jake. This is where Jake was transported to his world. But he prevented that. So then I draw a line backwards to where he had met Jake. And I don’t technically he’s on the wrong timeline right now. He has memories of the other timeline because he experienced it, but he’s on this one so he’s also got memories of this timeline now.

He says the only thing that keeps him arguing in his mind about this is the jawbone that he took from the man in black. He throws the jawbone into the fire. It flares up as if it was made of something flammable. Eddie stares into the fire, and I remember that he is now seeing the shape of the key that he will need to help properly draw Jake back into this world. That will fix the timeline. But that doesn’t seem to have eliminated Roland’s issue. I tell him that I think I can help with it, but the only way to fix it permanently will be to fix the timeline. He asked how to do that, and I said it is coming in the future. I feel that it is. I actually know that it is. So I use the song on Roland to help stabilize his mind which is the same one I taught Eddie to use on Susanna. My last breath by Evanescence.

“Hold on to me love, you know I can’t stay long. All I wanted to say is I love you and I’m not afraid.” I have taken a hold of Roland’s hand, and he seems now focused completely on me. “Can you hear me? Can you feel me in your heart?” Now Roland is holding onto me, he actually has tears coming from his eyes. Frustration? I’m not sure. “I know you hear me, I can taste it in your tears. Closing your eyes to disappear, you pray your dream won’t leave you here. And now you’ll wake to know the truth, he still there. Say good night, don’t be afraid. Call on me, call on me we can face the night. Say good night, don’t be afraid.” That seems to have Roland in a more focused state when the song is over. Now we can present him with facts. Eddie remembers Roland telling him about traveling through the mountains alone. Without Jake. But both MoSh and I remember Jake. So obviously he is real. Susanna can’t say either way, she hasn’t heard any of this before.

The Dark Tower – Bearzilla Attacks

I am in a forest in a clearing with a couple of other people. I see Roland, Susanna, and MoSh. Susanna is seated in her wheelchair and has a gun. She is aiming at a row of targets set up on a fallen tree not far away. There are six targets there, and Roland is giving each of them and identity for Susanna’s benefit. He is describing various assholes from Susanna’s past. People that Susanna would be very glad shoot. I am looking at Susanna’s missing legs. I am looking at the stumps where they come to an end rather. I am wondering if we have some prosthetics that could make her able to walk. From what I’ve seen, she’s learned to get around very well without legs. So I’m not even sure if she would want the prosthetics. I hear some birds disturbed, and what might’ve been a tree falling, but I don’t pay much attention. Roland and Susanna are too focused on their current lesson. MoSh says that the bear guardian is coming. Susanna fires off six quick shots. She annihilates all but one target.

After another disturbance MoSh repeats that the bear is coming. I look over at him, at first I’m not sure what he means, but then I remember. Susanna is getting annoyed at Roland for describing the targets as assholes from her past. Apparently that brought up some memories she didn’t want to think about. More birds are disturbed, and another tree crashed at the ground. All I can say is, oh shit! MoSh finally gets Roland’s attention and he repeats that something big is coming. He says it’s the giant bear guardian. Susanna looks at him doubtfully, but Roland gets a look of understanding on his face. He says he didn’t even think that was real. He thought it was just a story. But no one can deny the fact that something big is headed for the campsite where we had been earlier. And that’s where we left Eddie. Susanna, of course, is immediately panicked for Eddie. Roland scoops Susanna out of her wheelchair and start carrying her piggyback, running back towards the camp as fast as he can. MoSh says it will take too long to run, so he flies. As I see him fly, I think I can do the same thing. I fly after him over the green forest below.

There is a bear up ahead that we see. This bear is massive. The bear is violently shaking a tall tree. I see Eddie near the top of the tree, holding on for dear life. MoSh already knows what to do. He pulls out a gun that looks like a replica of one of the Roland’s, and he fires at the strange looking radar dish on the bear’s head. The bullet hits a barrier of some kind. Marsh says crap, that’s not supposed to be there. There’s a dark energy shield around the bear. The bear is back to shaking Eddie’s tree as if it hasn’t even noticed us. I tell MoSh that I’ll break the shield with a bolt of lightning and then he can take out the dish. I use the song Battery by Metallica to create a bolt of lightning of light energy. The lightning cuts through the shield around the bear. MoSh fires his gun again, and this time it hits home. The strange dish on the bear’s head explodes in a rain of blue sparks and disgusting grey-ish black worms. I’m sitting there looking at that, thinking that’s nasty. The bear starts turning around in circles as if it is disoriented.

Roland arrives with Susanna, and she shoots the bear as it is trying to grab hold of Eddie’s tree again. I’m not sure if it’s trying to shake him off still, or if it’s trying to use the tree to hold itself up. The bear clumsily turns around and starts headed towards Susanna and Roland. Susanna shoots it again right in the dish, although it was pretty mangled from the first shot. Since this version of the bear doesn’t to want die, I add a bolt of lightning to the mix. And MoSh shoots it three more times in the base of it skull. That creates a large hole in the base of it skull, from which many more disgusting gray-ish black worms News. The bear flails around a bit more, splattering disgusting worms and blood everywhere. Then it collapses. It is still making some noises, but these noises now sound like a malfunctioning dishwasher. Roland says it’s OK now, that bear is all but dead. I keep watching, since it was that hard to kill I don’t want to assume anything.

Roland goes over closer to the bear, as does MoSh. Eddie and Susanna are embracing each other, and smooching. That’s rather gross, since Eddie got a soaking of the blood/parasites/disgusting stuff from the bear earlier. Roland is gouging out one big eyeball from the bear. Yuck. He seems to think we should all take a look. I don’t really see the need to. But everyone goes over to look. Susanna seems to move pretty well on her own. That leads me to question even more if she would even want artificial legs. What we find in the bear seems to be pretty much proof that it is a cyborg. Eddie says it looks like an iPod. Susanna just gives them a puzzle look. MoSh says it’s a cyborg. Partly metal, partly organic. Finally we determined that we should go back to the shooting site. This does not appear to be a good spot to camp anymore. But I don’t get far before I wake up.

The Dark Tower – The Wrong Tower

I am at work. I am sitting in my cubicle looking at the computer monitor but not really seeing anything. I have to use the restroom, so I get up and lock my computer before leaving my cubicle. The office layout doesn’t seem right. I go to where the restroom but I find an office with four people crammed into it. I leave immediately. I keep wandering around, I come to one of the windows that is covered with blinds as always. I peek through the blinds and realize this office must be on about the 15th floor! I am in the wrong office entirely! I will be in trouble for not showing up to work… I turn to go to the elevator. On my way I run into a man. I am thinking he is one of my bosses. I try to turn away so he won’t notice me, but I fail and he sees me. He comes over, but instead of chewing me out, he says he’s looking for Roland. I tell him I haven’t seen Roland. He tells me to help him find Roland, he’s in the wrong place. So I’m not the only person in the wrong building! I say I’ll help find Roland. He says to split up, then he turns and disappears into a door that I think might be a restroom. But I no longer have to go.

Now I am wandering around the office asking if anyone has seen Roland. People are giving me weird looks when I ask that. Finally I find someone who knows. It’s a woman who points to a cubicle near the back of the room. I go straight there and peek in. There is a man sitting there looking rather lost. I ask if he’s Roland, and he says yes. I tell him the boss is looking for him. He looks at me strangely. I say I don’t know where the boss went… but we can find him. Roland follows me from his cubicle. I am thinking he looks very familiar. Apparently, I also seem familiar to him, he asks if we’ve met somewhere else. I look over at him to try to remember. He calls me Raven and says he doesn’t belong here. I tell him I don’t, either. We should go back to where we belong. And find the boss.

As we exit the office building on street level Roland looks around. I look at the tall building with the name on its front. It is called The Tower. He says it is the wrong one. I am still thinking it is the wrong office. Roland looks like he has a headache. I am wondering if the boss is still inside the tower. I am thinking maybe we should go back in but then I spot the boss. He has just come out of a side door from the building. I wave at him and he notices me. He comes over, and I tell him I found Roland. Roland says he has to go somewhere, but where? The boss says he needs to find the tower. Roland looks up at the building. The boss shakes his head. He says no, Roland needs to find the dark tower. The axis of all worlds, center of reality. “I want to go there!“ I say. The boss looks over at me and tells me to go get a cup blue city tea. I have no idea what that means. The boss asks Roland how he got here in the first place? Roland says he can remember everything just fine back to the point where he came out of the... and then he stops. He said it was a building near a train station. I see where there are some railroad tracks, I think they probably lead to the train station. So the boss, Roland, and I go over to the tracks.

While they are looking around a bit, I get distracted. I want to see what happens when a train runs over coins. I lay down a few coins that I find on the nearest railroad track. I wait for a bit, and then I hear a train coming, the train comes goes right over the coins. They are flat now, just like the souvenirs you can get of flattened pennies. Another train goes by, then I see Roland with the boss over near what looks like a storage shed. The shed is locked. Roland is now saying that he is absolutely sure that this is the door he has to go through. But we don’t have a key. I am wishing this was a Harry Potter book, then I could just use Alohamora to unlock the door. Just joking more than anything, I point at the door and say aloha Mora. To my surprise, it unlocks. Harry Potter spells work? How could I not have discovered this sooner? Having heard the door unlocked, Roland tries it. The door opens. I find that we are looking through the door, but there is no storage shed. Instead, the door is looking through into a forest. There are a couple of people over there. They are both calling for Roland. Roland says that’s Eddie and Susanna. This is a doorway to another world. The boss says he thinks someone might have brainwashed Roland. Roland goes through the door, and I follow him. The boss follows me through. I am getting the idea that I’m being really dense about something. I am about to do a reality check, maybe I’m dreaming, but before I get a chance to I wake up.

The Dark Tower – The Third Drawing

I am on beach. It is just about dark. The ocean extends out west, and I can see where the sun has just sent. There are a couple people not too far for me. They are both near a door that looks like it leads nowhere. A man is standing next to the door, and a woman is sitting in wheelchair. I look around a bit more and I see there’s another man standing closer to me. I recognize the man standing close to me. That is MoSh. He looks at me and then looks over at the door. I am pretty sure I know who those people are. Eddie Dean, and either Detta or Odetta. MoSh and I walk over towards the door. Before we quite get there, I hear a voice coming through the door. The voice is telling Detta Walker to look through the door. The voice is also telling Odetta Homes to look through the door. And the next instant there are more people there.

I hadn’t noticed Roland’s body on the ground by the door, but now he is trying to get up. He does not seem well. And now there are also two women. Apparently Detta Walker and Odetta Holmes are now separate people. They’re fighting each other. They have to become one in order for the two of them to survive. But there are still more people there. I do not know who these others are. They are cloaked figures, and they are all in black. I’m not even sure if they have faces, because all I see under their hoods is blackness and glowing blue eyes. Mosh says no one invited them to the party. I say we should show them what happened party crashers then. One of them goes right over to Roland and told him to hand ‘it’ over. I am wondering what ‘it’ is. He doesn’t live very long, MoSh blows him away. That is the first time they noticed that we were even there. One of the cloaked figures is snarling at us, and says we should keep our abnormally large noses out of other people’s business. I tell him that ugly gits like him are our business. A gun fight ensues.

There are some rocks and other things in the area, and those are good places to take cover. But apparently MoSh and I also have Witchblades, and those form into a powerful armor. While the fight is going on between us and the strange figures, Detta and Odetta have switched from fighting to hugging. That is a good sign. That means they’re almost done. I see the one must be Odetta whisper something into Detta’s ear. I don’t hear her, but I remember what she said in the book. She said I love you. Two women seem to blur for a bit as the fuse into one. I see that one of the figures is standing over Roland now. Seems to be looking for something. I don’t want it to find what it’s looking for. I think that would be very bad. Detta and Odetta are in the way for getting a clear shot. So instead I send an Alex Mosher type tendril into the ground. It goes under Detta and Odetta, and then comes up right next to Roland and pierces the figure standing over him. The cloaked figures are clearly pissed off. But now they also have Susanna to deal with. Data and Odetta has become one now, and she’s got a gun. So does Eddie. He has also joined into the fight. The figures will not have another chance to get near Roland. They are angry, but they disappear in clouds of dark.

MoSh and I go over to where the others are. The door has closed, and our falls over in the sand and seems to become nothing more than a large piece of driftwood. I see Susanna, who is the merger of Detta and Odetta, hug Eddie. And then she hugs Roland. She says it’s thanks to them that she can be whole again. And that hasn’t been the case since she got hit on the head by a brick as a little girl. But that seems to be about the last bit of energy that Roland has, and he passes into unconsciousness. I focus some healing energy through him, but I guess the more important things are the pills that Roland brought back with him. Those will take care of the poison. Eddie gives him his first pill, though he was barely conscious enough to swallow it. March is asking who those weird figures are the keep showing up. I tell him I don’t have a clue yet. But they are really annoying. They aren’t supposed to be here. I want to ask Roland what he has that they might want, but that’s clearly going to have to wait until he recovers. It is here that I seem to wake up.

      -----

This part of the dream was strange. It didn’t seem connected to the rest, and still it did. In this segment of dream, I felt like I was inside of Detta or Odetta, I’m not sure which. I hear gunshots around me, as if gun fight was currently going on. I hear someone call to me. The voice calls to me to look through the door. I looked over through the door, and I find that I’m staring at another version of me somehow. I am hearing a song in my head. “I face myself, to cross out what I’ve become. Erase myself, and let go of what I’ve done.” This is a song by Linkin Park. I know it well. I am reaching out to embrace myself when I wake up for real this time.
