So I was away from the internet for about a week but still wrote down my DJs, I'll post a few tonight and a few tomorrow so I don't spam the page

I am standing near a tree on grassy rolling hills. When I do certain actions a bunch of stars are other designs fly at me from above, in one color. The color and shapes change every time I do an action. Eventually a unicorn also pops up with the colors, and he always seems angry and tries to attack me.

I am on another planet with a group up other people, trying to find a spaceship to leave. It is a desert planet, and we are inside open sand colored stone structures. I can see large ships jutting up above the walls a few rooms away. They are in a large open area that looks like it could be used for a scrapyard if needed. My expedition is in an arena-type room behind me, and I am standing in a hallway lined with pillars. From a view up ahead I get a closeup on shark people walking down the hall towards me. I figure that they must be the planet's inhabitants. They are large, awkward looking, dress in purple cult robes and move pretty slowly. I climb up a pillar that is right next to the arena and suspend myself in the air by pushing against the pillar and the room-dividing wall. The shark people seem to be hostile and slowly walk beneath me and confront the expedition. They are asking for some kind of code. I realize that along this hallway there are small storage rooms numbered from 1 to about 20, and that they are asking for the correct room number. I know the code and am also hiding at the pillar next to it, room 16. In an effort to distract them from my people, I call out that it is room 16. The shark people see me and slowly walk towards me and the room, but I jump over to another pillar. I have also changed the code from 16 to 4 using just my mind. Without finding out what they need it for, the dream ends.
    2. Shark Bridge River

      by , 07-30-2010 at 02:42 PM
I had two vivid dreams last night. When I first woke up, I recalled much more. But, I was forced to deal with real life almost instantly. My memory was reduced to only the very last segment of my last dream:

I was standing with someone on a very rundown, overgrown, bridge. We were throwing explosives into a river about 15ft below. As we did, great white sharks the size of buses would spring out of the water to eat the explosives as they blew up! I remember their eyes rolling back into their heads in a somewhat comical way, but nevertheless, I felt extremely vulnerable like the bridge was about to collapse at any moment.

I walked off the bridge, turned around to get a close look at it. I expected it to give way into the river, but it was stable. The weeds growing on it, and the cracked aged look was totally realistic.

    3. Going to the moon to swim in the Black Sea + to buy Sayers?

      by , 07-25-2010 at 12:20 PM
So the first part I remember is going to the moon with some of my school friends for a 'holiday'
We were sliding down the moon craters and just messing around.
A man called us into a room which led to the Black Sea. But funnily enough the Black Sea in my dream was ACTUALLY black. Once you were in there everything was black and to see anything you had to frantically swim to the surface. There were sharks in there but the man explained that unless you made a fuss they would only nibble at your toes. So afterwards I got out and I remember having a sayers paper bag.

A hectic but decent night, lots of small fragments, but some vivid dreams. As well as a dream in which I discuss lucid dreaming.

      The Ship is Sinking (non-lucid)

The dream starts at my Aunt's house. I meet this girl with a strip of purple hair. She seems pretty cool. She is a poet and hands me a folded piece of paper. I read the poem but don't remember it. We walk further and the location turns to a beach. Transition. We are am on a ship but it is sinking. The cabin is filling with water and a shark is repeatedly crashing into the window. Old gramps is there. I haven't seen him in a long time. Eventually the water is too high and we must leave the ship. Gramps goes first to distract the shark. We swim and reach shore. Later I remember an areial view of people surfing over a giant manta ray thing.

Notes: I must have had 3 or 4 shark and water disaster dreams. I didn't write them all down because I lost my pen during the night and my journal was open (weird, I had to rc).

      BroX's Wants to LD (non-lucid)

BroX, BroY, and I are playing video games in my room while relatives talk downstairs. BroY is just being really annoying. He is poking us and unplugging controllers and stuff so I beat him up. BroX said he was looking through my dresser for something and found my book on lucid dreaming. We go downstairs and he asks questions. Said he is really freaked out about sleep paralysis. He asks how many Lds I've had and I accurately remember. BroZ is there and said he had only a few.

      Crazy Women (non-lucid)

One of the first dreams of the night. I don't remember the beginning. I exit...somewhere. It is dark and storming outside. A gray car speeds away throwing gravel and dust into the air. Something is wrong. I have been left here. I see some cars but they don't have keys in them. One is a co-workers car. I enter the only house around. This point is real vivid. I see a fireplace and some cats lounging. I pick up the phone and dial (totm!). “This phone is not connected.” it says. “Damn it. I am trapped here by this insane women's house!” End.

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I went straight into a WILD where I had a lot of difficulty getting out of bed. I eventually managed to get mostly up, but I kept rubber-banding back to my sleeping position each time I got close. Had a couple FAs here, but it was all the same.

Woke up for realsies. DEILD time.

This was a weird experience because the music I had playing transitioned over into the dream, but the sound was slightly distorted. It was as if I were listening to it underwater. Regardless, I'm still trapped in my bed, but I try to summon my DG anyways. I manage to create a male DC that looks kinda like her, but at the same time, wasn't even close. The song is distracting me, so I force myself awake.

      And turn off the music.

I lie back down to WILD and the fun begins almost right away.

When the vivid hallucinations start, I'm able to throw myself into them for a successful V-WILD. I end up in a snowy academic courtyard during a game of HvZ. I figure I'll go ahead and play along since I need to practice as a zombie. A group of us is after a single human. He throws a sock at me, and I'm only just able to redirect it with TK, my control not up to the standards I want it to be at. Then there's a weird fragment where I toss a guy over my head from a distance with TK.

I've lost lucidity by this point. And just go about the dream as per usual.

I wish I could recall the plot, but I didn't get a chance to recall it all as I awoke. I do know I regained lucidity sometime down the road, but I couldn't tell you where or what it involved.

Edit: I remember how I got lucid! I ended up in a large body of water somehow and realized I was dreaming. My mind turned to sharks attacking me and, sure enough, they did. I became frightened and woke myself up. I then had an FA in which I still knew I was dreaming. There was also a good sized shark biting down on my right forearm. I looked at it calmly as it chomped down on my arm. I remember thinking to myself how odd it was that something that looks and feels so real is all in my head. That's when I really woke up.

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

After such intense and downright cool halucinations I find myself at rest, again, in my bed. No doubt this is a dream. I RC to double check. Yeppers, definitely a dream. I get up, but everything is so hazy. I have no control over anything at all. So, what unfolds is an odd dream where I am indeed lucid, but unable to makes decisions about anything. I end up pushing a large something up and around a building or stone block of some kind. When I finish that I move down the building/block to the next something and push that around too. I do it one more time before experiencing a FA.

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I don't remember many details up to the point where I became lucid, but I do remember flying through Mewtwo's fortress from the first Pokemon movie. This occurred after someone asked for quotes from the movie.

I realized I was dreaming and flew out of the fortress. I let myself fall to sea far below me. I fall slowly at first, but speed up at sporadic intervals along the way until crashing into the water, feet extended straight, arms at my sides. Down, down I go, into the depths. I see some white sharks swim below me. Not a fan of sharks, at all, I shot to the surface where DCs were there to greet me. I got up onto a plank. I knew this was dream, but I had to be sure because of the sharks. I do a RC. It fails. Now I'm really confused. I know it's a dream, for sure, so why isn't my RC working? I spend the rest of the dream on the plank trying to RC before I FA again.

The Search For Ice: Coffee House (DILD)
      ★★★☆☆
      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm in bed. RC to be sure I'm not still in the dream.

Turns out I am. I get up and shed myself of my blanket. I fly/phase through the nearest window into a town. Now, what was I supposed to be doing in my Lucids? Oh, right, searching for Ice. I look at all the buildings for a door I can use. They're all glass, and the buildings themselves are lined with large glass windows. I decide to give it a shot anyways.

I fly to the nearest door, but as I do I hover up a bit, putting the handle out of reach. The same things happens at the next door, so I decide to drop to the ground. I think to myself that Ice will be on the other side of this door. I open it already partly knowing what's actually inside due to the glass. Yep, it's a coffee house. I walk in and pass by the line at the counter. The guy at the front of the line looks at me and says "Hey." I just keep walking.

Wait, I think, what if he has something interesting to say? So, I double back. And say hello to him. We walk outside and I lift myself off the ground. He shook his head and said something about me following the trend or something like that. We had an interesting discussion that I can't fully recall since I waited so long to write it down, but it partly involved him talking about an instance where his girlfriend was harmed in a dream and subsequently harmed in RL. I say something along the lines of "That's not. . . not possible." And then I experience another FA in which I become lucid for two seconds before waking up for real.

    7. Second Storey Sharks

      by , 11-23-1987 at 04:38 PM
Morning of November 23, 1987. Monday.

Even though it makes no sense at all, there are (at least three) sharks under the floor (under the carpet in most cases) of the second story apartments of the King Street boarding house, mostly “swimming” north to south and back somehow just out of sight under the floor (and the floor is supposedly only water in some areas under the carpet where they can come up through), and even though there seems to be no flood or anything resembling the ocean this far inland. Regardless of the utter absurdity of the scenario, there is no hint of lucidity or dawning of even basic common sense. I am somewhat angry and frustrated over paying rent ($25.00 per week) under such conditions. I can walk down the steps and outside into the front yard or onto the front porch with no danger.

I believe some (or most) of the other tenants have left to find somewhere else to stay, including Leonard S, who is probably one of the last to leave. I do see him somehow fishing into his floor at one point though the floor seems mostly still solid.

How can a shark be in a house on dry land? Mental associations possibly destroy in-dream logic with the 1970s “Jaws” game, which I had, and at least one photograph exists where I have my face near the three-dimensional game’s open “mouth” in profile. I am never attacked; I just have to be wary of how I walk through my room to the door to the apartment. My large old (and loud) refrigerator, probably made in the early 1960s, sits inside the large clothes closet as in real life (which is where it was when I started to rent the particular apartment, strangely enough). Although I got along well with my landlord and landlady, as they lived in the residence below, it is possible that I viewed them as “sharks” on one level. It is also possible I had heard about carpet sharks previously.
    8. Swimming with Sharks

      by , 09-12-1976 at 03:12 PM
Morning of September 12, 1976. Sunday.

In my dream, I find myself at what seems to be the bottom of the sea, though it does not seem that I am really that far underwater. It actually only seems that I am in about ten feet of water or less. There are a few different kinds of large sharks swimming near me, but I do not feel threatened.

There is something about retrieving a wallet, though I cannot recall if it is mine or not. For some reason, I am aware of at least one important credit card (possibly more) - Mastercard I think, with possible associations with implications of the word “master” - and possibly some identification cards or folded documents in the wallet I am to retrieve. I can easily breathe underwater, and move about somewhat as if swimming.

My dream takes on an odd ambiguity, almost like two simultaneous dreams (both “deep in the ocean” and “looking at city features”), or at least implied bilocated settings. Above me, I look up through a “transparent” floor (as if I have X-ray vision) and notice at least one girl in a skirt walking above me in a presumed office - though I do not feel any significant voyeurism-based interest regarding this imagery and perspective and it is also unlikely that the building above me is actually over the water, as it seems like a business building somehow being seen from elsewhere. However, it may also be a high school with a young teacher present, though I see no one else. There may have been an odd level of foreshadowing and self-fulfilling prophecy here. A few years later, when “going back to school” in a manner of speaking at WWTI (after moving back to Wisconsin) to get my GED (or so-called high school equivalency), I got a student ID card for the first time ever. After the term I absentmindedly threw it over a bridge over the Black River.

High school (my tenth grade classes) had started on August 30th, but I did not go until September 13th, due to having recently had an operation on my hand, and I was also still in pain for a couple weeks after my surgery. This dream may have related to the concept of trying to find my “identification” (or place at school) while starting tenth grade with certain students perceived as “sharks”, or potential bullies as well as either “getting credit” for doing school work or getting school credits in a metaphorical association.

For an indeterminable reason, this dream seemed somehow “linked” to another completely unrelated and later dream (perhaps being somehow associated with the “same” presumed fictional town at one point) about a fictional movie or documentary about the “1910 Fruitgum Company” (an American bubblegum pop band of the 1960s) as if it was a real company. At one point, I watch while flying or floating from above, a 1922 red Phaeton (long-term-recurring dream feature) going down a street. It is implied that “Winchester Cathedral” (which I vaguely seem to hear playing at least once in my dream) is “their” song, when it was actually done by The New Vaudeville Band in reality. On one level, this may have been a subtle desire to “return to the past” (or at least review it).
