    1. Imaginary Friends

      by , 01-11-2015 at 06:02 AM
I appeared to be somewhere inside a nice, clean suburban neighborhood. It was sometime around 10:00 Pm when it happened. I was with my mother, walking inside one of the suburban homes making sure things seemed alright. This home we were in was quiet, also lonely. It felt like a two story home, though we didn't get chance to walk upstairs while we were in there. Me and my mothers stuck together to make sure we don't get snatched or killed. We were walking around the living room, too fearful of the place. There were functioning lights but the only one on was inside the living room. I didn't know what lurked inside, it was unknown.

I then decided to grab a drink from the refrigerator standing in the living room. I walked up to it and opened the cabinet. What I found inside was a set of coke bottles. I took one of them and debated whether or not I should give one to my mom or not. I grabbed mine but before I even thought about getting one for my mother, I heard something inside the kitchen. I walked towards the kitchen, farthest from the entrance door, and stood there in the shadows for a moment. At that moment, I accidentally summoned someone, or something. I cautiously looked at one of the mirrors standing somewhere on the kitchen walls. In it I saw a ghostly figure, perhaps a demon - I'm not sure. This demon was staring at me. It wasn't trying to scare me or kill as I laid eyes on it, but I knew I had to get out of this place right then.

I shivered in fear and immediately rushed towards the entrance door straight away from where I was standing. My mother followed. I ran in to the dark, empty street and waited for my mother. From then on, my lucid powers kicked in.

I became lucid a few seconds after leaving the home. After noticing it, I quickly ran towards a field I saw standing right in front of the home. The field stood right there in front of the suburban homes like as entrance. I gradually flew towards this field and hovered as I was entering it.

When I finally entered the field, I landed in the middle of this small field surrounded by running race track. Beyond the race track was the most hugest field I have ever scene. It was almost like being inside a video game where the maps' that seemed to be miles and miles away. I stood standing there for a bit trying to think of something I could do while lucid. One of them was to get rid of the daunting night sky. I looked up at the sky and raised both my hands up in the air and demanded there to be light! The darkness then slowly began fading away being consumed by the sunlight that struck gradually from the suburban homes all the across the gigantic field. My fears were no longer there. My heart rejoiced, but wait, there was more.

After summoning light across the long field, I noticed several groups of people inhabiting the outer part of the field, just a few feet away from the race track. There were lots of them. Most stood in groups of about four and two. Everyone spoke among each other, admiring each others company. It was a lot like a high school reunion. There were only young individuals. I walked past these groups and appreciated their business being here with me. It's always good to see these amounts of people when lucid. It helps me develop a sense of curiosity among the dream world.

There was much to do now that I was lucid, but one of the things I've been wanting to do for a long time was to summon someone I know. I don't know them personally, nor have I ever met them. We are complete strangers. Her name was Sydney. She was the only person I could think about summoning at a time like that.

I extended my arms back as if I was going to handshake someone and waiting for Sydney to grab on to be. When I felt her hand at the tip of my fingers, I brought her up towards me and stared at her. I didn't throw myself upon her, I just held her in my hands and stood close in front of her as I gazed at her beautiful appearance being here with me. After that brief moment, I kept hold of her hand and moved along her left side. We both started walking towards a marching band standing just a couple feet from the race track.

    2. The Last Flight of the Uther

Well, I haven't been on this site in a while, but I'm back and ready to update! Hope everyone's having a happy new year! And lots of happy dreaming!!

      January 10, 2015

Last night's LD was a random one that placed me in some space ship. I figured it was a spaceship because A. it's interior looked not too unlike that of Dead Space's Ishimura. B. I was floating in zero-g and I awoke to a can of peanuts by some unknown brand smacking into my head.

Sadly, I was also took far from any of the walls, ceiling, or floor to really grab a hold of anything. Pfffft, so I let myself drift and spin for a little more until I was able to grab the guide rails of one of the walls.
Thankfully, there weren't any signs of blood, so it didn't seem like it was a dead vessel filled with flesh-eating monstrosities or anything. The lights were working just fine.
There just.... didn't seem to be any people?

Pulling myself along, I traversed the long hallway of the ship, which I started feeling might've very well been the spine of the vessel because it felt like it went forever. I mean, how many rooms do you really need?
And yet still no one was to be found.

I finally made it to the end of this blasted hallway, entering what looked like a giant game room with way too many air hockey tables, hahaha. Pucks and handles were drifting everywhere.

I started hearing something that sounded like muffled talking, but it was coming from the room beyond... past the closed door.
Drifting over to the door, I attempted to listen through but it was still too muffled, so I attempted to fiddle with the console on the side of the door.
It took until I pressed an unlabeled blue button for the door to open. Turned out it wasn't people talking--it was a recording:

      **
We'd seen things. Great things. Whether the nations still exist, we don't know. But--we've sent them our data. They can do whatever they want with it, not like we'll get to benefit from it. Not now.
We've been adrift for almost a year now. This old lady's almost drained of fuel, provisions... air cycling's almost broken too. We'll either freeze, starve, or suffocate.

      Bren's got an idea.
Says it'll be better than us stickin' it out. And we're pretty much in unanimous agreement. In about an hour, we'll all head over to Transfer. Take a walk outside.
Just know that we didn't go suffering. And we did our job. These amazing people that I've come to know, they did an amazing job.
I don't got anyone to tell something back on Earth. But you'll find everyone else's tapes in Quartercell A-2-2-2.

You don't need to know me. We are the NSN Uther. And we just saved the Earth.

      **

The message began to loop again.

No wonder there were no bodies. He must've been referring to cargo transfer. They bloody vented themselves out into space.

Despite extensive searching, I couldn't find the crew quarters or the room A-222. I couldn't recover the tapes of the last words of the NSN Uther...
    3. Resonance, Ice Flood

      by , 01-11-2015 at 02:57 AM
It's difficult to describe the setting. It felt deep, vivid, almost reality-sharp without any lucidity.

It's night, I'm outside a familiar house in the country. There are two important people meeting here, one is considered a villain while the other is a hero. The villain looks familiar but I can't place him, and the 'hero' is actually just an ally of the true hero, she looks like Paige from Scorpion. They agreed to meet here on neutral ground to discuss terms, at least that's what it seemed. Really, they were drawn here despite their different motives, the man already knows why but he needs her to understand that their meeting is destiny and for that to strike home for her, they need to meet without any sort of threat. So far he's been a rumor to her.
They approach each other in the dark, the grass crunching under foot. When they get close, sound waves being to resonate around them, for her it's yellow, for him it's green.
"I knew we would resonate." He says, offering her his hand.
"Why is this happening?" She sounds awed instead of afraid and reaches out to touch her fingers to his and the waves and circles become a single pulse of light at the contact.
I don't find out the rest of the story.

      There's a lapse.
I'm at work, the racking is painted beige instead of grey and the aisles are much wider and taller. I am in front of the Millwork desk, it's very early in the morning and the lights are still low. I see Wayne, a co-worker, who was stuck working a night shift and I start to tell him it must be nice that his shift will end soon when mine is just beginning.
"Well it would, if my shift had ended." He says.
      "What do you mean?"
Then I see all the people, other associates, all carrying boxes on their shoulders or pushing flat carts piled high. My heart sinks and I wonder when if I should help sort the freight or just wait until my shifts starts to throw it all. I turn to tell him how sorry I am that he has to stay but he's gone. I move down a few aisles and see a squat and wide ladder piled high with two stacks of boxes, the outer pile leans dangerously, balanced by a beam on the other side of the aisle. I know it's the quickest way to get it off the floor but it doesn't look particularly safe.

There's a lapse. I see the front of the Millwork desk but...the row of aisles are no longer store interior but a line of store fronts on a downtown street at night with soft yellow streetlights. There was more before this, something about a group of women who were considered witches, one of them climbed to the top of the scaffolding where workers hung a giant red-lettered neon sign from cables and poles. She jumped and hurt herself seriously, I'm talking to one of the witches about it. I'm worried, but she won't tell me if the woman died or not. I climb up to the top of the scaffolding though the sign is in ruin on the sidewalk below. I stumble and make it look like I'm jumping down, following the other woman's steps. I land badly and my socked feet do not do well on the crushed glass. The city feels restless, chaotic in a sleepy way, like people are just learning that maybe right now would be the time to panic. The lights flicker, die, and then return. The witch starts to leave without me, I limp after her. We feel a low, ominous rumble. The witch whips around to exchange a concerned look with me as a chunk of yellow rock falls from the tunnel wall ahead of us and shatters to bits. Is it to be an earthquake? Or a flood? I suppose we'll find out.
I follow the woman into a trench outside the city walls, and from here I can see everything. There's a long bridge? Or a monorail overhead. It's dark so it's hard to tell. To my left is the dark ocean, there's a thin line of shop fronts and sidewalks, the back end of the street I started on.

We hear screams ring out in the night and cries cut short, we hear people yell about the water rising. A flood, then. The witch bolts ahead of me and I limp down the trench, so intent on escape. I don't know if I'll be able to run. Someone stumbles past me and I ask them what's happening.
      "It's the ocean..."
"What about it? How high are the flood waters?"
"It's freezing!" She yells, and runs away. Then I see what she means firsthand. Torrents of water rush haltingly toward me. It fills the trench behind me and seconds after filling, it freezes solid. It laps the earth, layering it slowly at first and then larger rushes of water follow also freezing solid immediately. I try to stay ahead of it, I don't quite remember if I did...I'm worried my foot will get caught that I won't be nimble enough....

    4. OBE Journey into the Past – Jan 9, 2015

      by , 01-11-2015 at 02:13 AM
My mind is conscious, but my body is asleep, and I’m in the ‘void’ between dreams. Somebody is with me and we’re hugging, but I can’t see who it is. ‘The vibrations’ start happening, and they’re quite intense, so decided to try an OBE exit. It works, but I didn’t make it all the way to my feet, and I fall back to my bed in sitting position. I struggled to my feet, all while I was being pulled hard towards my physical body. After I stood up, I was still being pulled hard backwards, and I struggled forward trying to get my bearings. I couldn’t believe how hard I was being tugged on, so I looked back to see what was going on. I could see several tubes (2 or 3 inches in diameter) of blue, white, and yellow light connecting between my OBE body and physical body. They were arcing and whipping violently. The light was so bright I could barely see my physical body. Then I realized where I was. I was in my childhood bedroom, approximately 35 years ago.

Everything in my room was exactly the same as it was during my teens. I struggle forward, past my childhood dresser on the left, towards the door, and then suddenly I was free. The tubes of light had disappeared. I grabbed onto the doorknob and paused to ask for my daughter to join me on my adventure into the past. I slowly turned the door knob and crept out into the hallway. I could hear the floor creaking beneath me. There was faint light coming from my parent’s room and then my mom whispered, “Somebody’s up honey.” I quickly hurried downstairs into the living room so to avoid scaring the crap out of my mom. I looked around the living room, and I really didn’t have a plan what to do next. I looked at the old coach, of which my parents have long since disposed of, and I decided to go and sit there and wait for my daughter to show up, but then I unexpectedly returned to the void. All was dark and quiet. I heard my daughter’s voice say, “Dad, where did you go?” I didn’t reply, because I was trying to get back to wherever I’d been.
