      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

In my dream I heard the wake up call of my mobile phone and searched for it.

      Greetings from Germany,

      Fragments

      -----
I got a phone call from Kirby (one of the office-bosses… there’s a lot of tiers of management in this company) asking me to do a project. He gave me a list of Scottish family names, and I had to do some research on their origins (I would SO enjoy this, if I really got assigned to do this at work. It’s not a security company kinda thing, though).
      -----
I was supposed to accompany Mum on some shopping down the hill, but I also had to start work at 5pm. I took a long time getting ready to leave the house (it was already 2pm, and usually I start getting ready for work by 3pm), and I was feeling a bit panicked over making mum wait, shopping, and getting ready for work. I was afraid that if I went out, I would forget to get myself to work. And I have terrible amnesia in dreams.

Something about camping with a co-worker. Can't remember much else, cos I kept falling asleep between 9-10am. I managed to chain the camping element into each new dream, but it's all fuzzy now.

    3. Simulated Dream World

      Simulated Dream World. (WBTB)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I wake up at 3oClock, not sure why. However, I had planned to force myself to stay awake for a while and instead of going back to sleep, I flicked the T.V on and endured 15 minutes of Takeshi Castle, before sleeping again.

The earliest memories of my dream are of me arriving to this large building, the rest of my school year are also hear, apparently it's a school trip. The building is huge, one of those buisnessy buildings that try and look friendly, this one has a large fountain outside and looks very new and clean. As I walk through the double doors into a lobby, it occurs to me that we are all here to take part in an online poker tournement. (Probably because I was watching poker a lot the day prior.) So I go to a desk with a woman behind it and she ushers everyone into another room. The room is full of computers, everyone takes a seat and logs in.

At this stage something changes, I forget about poker and enter a simulated world
(I also watched the Matrix trilogy recently, T.V should have less impact on me.) There is a gap in my memory in the dream, I vaguely remember walking down a street, there were skyscrapers and lots of people, I recall being impressed that so many people could be simulated. -The gap occurs here, what is significant is that durin this gap I realise on some level, that this is a dream-

In spite of this knowledge I am not thinking rationally, my mind somehow reasoned that despite me being in a dream, because I am in a simulated world, I have no control over it. So I continue as before, but now there is that realization in the back of my mind. I meet with a girl, she is strikingly beautiful. We walk for a while around the city, I forget most of the dialogue, but I remember two things, the first she told me her name, which I now have forgotten, but think I may recall soon, I did remember when I woke up. Secondly a patch of dialogue I remember immaculately. With the belief I was about to deliver some truely ground breaking information, I tell her "This whole world isn't real, the people, everything is simulated", to this she simply replies "I know." This confused me, I think I concluded that she two must be a real person logged into this simulation, the dialogue between us continues for a while. Finally our walk ends and we kiss, she leaves but we plan to meet again.

In this gap my mind briefly skips back to the idea that this is a dream, however I find this information confusing. I perform a reality check, my hands appear strange but I conclude that they are not distorted but rather simulated. Unable to reach a conclusion my mind thinks of my friend Steve, because we often talk about lucid dreams, I believed that he would be able to explain the situation to me. Then I also remembered that I wanted to attempt to cross into his dreams, to see if there is any evidence for shared dreams, of which I am very skeptical. Despite the fact this was a dream, my mind was still caught up on the simulation theory, so I concluded that I would not be able to open a link between the two dreams. Conversely, I decided it would be possible to leave the simulation and get Steve from the room we were all in at the start of the dream.

Surprisingly I find the room how I remembered it, which is unusual in my dreams, leading me even more to believe that this may actually not be a dream. Finding Steve at a computer, we talk briefly and then I am back within the simulated world, also how I remember it, but now we are both here.

Steve is undecided, but we soon forget about that and I become pre-occupied in showing him around, he seems quite excited and I sumarise that it must be him. I introduce him to the girl (It's really agrivating her name was long, it had an extra syllable at the end like isa, or isy or a, or something.) Anyway we are all talking, and my memory for dialogue is atrocious, anyway me and Steve leave a Cafe, which is where the three of us had been conversing and we hear a, "Hey you!" or something to this effect.

We begin running from these two men, dressed in face scarves they appeared more bandit like, than gansta though. We quickly get away by vaulting a wall and scrambling down next to a river, we hide on some rocks under the center of a large bridge. Then further down river, off the road above, we watch as motorcyclists drive straight off the side clearing the majority of the river, landing in the shallows and driving up a bank on the otherside. Three do this, the last does a backflip much like Trinity on the matrix, when she jumps of the motorbike, the difference being he lands back on it. Me and Steve start laughing impressed, but a little perplexed by the behaviour. Then suddenly two more bikes come from under the bridge in the water, I look closer and these are actually water bikes, or jet skis w/e the name is. On them are those two bandit men, and we begin to fight. Quite quickly I find myself withstrained, the other has followed Steve, who has made it to the bank, he grabs a white bag and throws it to me, before getting grabbed by the leg and pulled back into the water. I catch it and hit the bandit holding me with it, on closer inspection, the bag was full of rocks and thorns and proves to be an excellent weapon.

I run over and hit the bandit off Steve, the bandit travels a reasonable distance and it is at this stage I finally realise properly that this is a dream.

We make it back up to the road, I turn to Steve and tell him "I am the one", which is really a bit sad. Anyway, he looks at me sceptically, but I am now convinced. I say, "This is all a simulation, but that's within my dream, I'll prove it". We walk past a dream character on the street, I raise my arm and I say (A little bit sadistically really :S) "Die". For a moment nothing happens, but then she grabs at her throat and falls to the floor, dead. At this stage Steve stops talking, and I question his position in all this, I remember rationalising all this out loud. "Is this a shared dream? We met outside the simulation, but no both parts are a dream, and you were in the building from the start." I stare at Steve for a moment, amazed at how I can create people who resemble there real conterparts so well.

I continue walking now alone, and find myself outside a bar. I look at my hands and say "Clarity" precautionally, because the dream is still going strong. I enter the bar and examine all the faces, I hadn't seen any of them before yet they were all just part of my imagination. Then my eyes come across Clarissa
(I remember now, pretty sure that was her name). The pub was split into two rooms, both public, she indicates the other half with a movement of her head and cheeky grin, before walking seductively into the other half. Needless to say, I'm fairly chuffed, and begin to follow. A balding man is entering the room with a plate of food, and I realise how public this room is going to be, I grab him by the shoulder and pull him lightly, I say "Not you." Next thing I realise all the dream characters have dissapeared, I enter the room and Clarissa is their alone, I quitely praise myself for having such a brilliant subconcious. I walk over to her and we begin to kiss and... I typically wake up.
Longest and best lucid I've probably had though. Writing it up doesn't do it justice.

1- Blood, Gore, and the Dinosaur
The dream begins at a church, where I am attending the funeral of someone I don't know with my family. One of the ladies is supposed to sing a solo in honor of the deceased, but the people in charge of the music accidentally play a really joyful, upbeat song which makes everybody laugh and ruins the melancholy mood.

I find a lot of money in the pew, which leads me to believe I may be dreaming. Although my nose-pinch reality check fails, I still have my suspicions...

Later, I go to the bathroom and start coughing up blood. It's not coming from my lungs, though; it's more like a reverse nose bleed. I'm beginning to fear that I'll drown, because there's just SO MUCH of it. (And let me tell you, it looked, felt, and tasted completely real.) Alarmed, I leave the bathroom to tell my parents... only to discover that I'm completely naked. "Okay, I HAVE to be dreaming," I say to myself and do another RC.
This time it works, and I am officially lucid.

I immediately remember that I MUST speak with Leroy, so I try to summon him. Instead, I am greeted by a Lady who is dressed in White. She tells me that she's wounded, and that I need to kill the creature that's chasing her while she heals herself. I try to explain that I don't have the time, that I'm looking for someone important. Apparently I don't have an option. The creature chooses that moment to burst into the room and start attacking us. Weaponless, I am barely able to defend myself as the Lady bolts from the room, telling me to let her know when it was dead.

This is not an easy beast to slay. Our battle carries over outside, where the Lady is watching. She is "encouraging" me to kill it, asserting that she hasn't much time to waste. Finally, I grow spikes from my shoes and stomp on the creature again and again, grinding my heal and mutilating it beyond repair. It's still making noises, though, which worries me.

"Is it really dead?" I ask the Lady anxiously.

"It doesn't matter, we have to keep going."

"You don't understand. I can't help you anymore, I have to look for Leroy."

"Leroy..." she murmurs vaguely, "I think I know him."

I ask if she can help me find him, but she insists that she has to overcome everything that's after her in order to become immortal. Just then, we encounter one of these "things" and are forced to fight again. This time she's a bit more help, although now I have no real memory of the incident.

Afterwards, I am now armed with a butcher knife (the square-ish kind) as we take shelter in a rotting tree house. The walls are set up to only be high enough to prevent you from falling out, so there's about four feet of space between the walls and the roof. I am about to ask her what we have to fight next, when I see a HUGE T-Rex charging straight towards us.

"You've got to be joking! How the hell do you expect me to fight a dinosaur!?" I obviously have no other choice, however. As the T-Rex (who, according to my "comrade," is named Leo) growls loudly and says something in a deep, angry voice about how us "cave people" took over the world. Resigning myself to the fact that I'd have to fight to live, I quickly rush the dino and slash at him with my knife. His tough hide prevents any damage from being done. Leo slashes my arm open, and I am forced to back up against the opposite wall.

I begin kicking the walls out to secure an escape route if the situation called for it, though I don't plan on retreating. I cannot describe how intense this situation is at the time; it lasts for quite a while, and I am cursing up a storm as I attempt to fight this gargantuan lizard. My companion temporarily dies at one point, leaving me to fend for myself. (Not that she was much help in the first place.)

Somewhere along the line, the dinosaur is replaced by a crazy lady who, of course, is bent on killing me. For the moment, however, she is forcing me to dance with her as she describes in vivid detail how she's going to kill me. (We're in a kitchen, though I don't remember how we got there.) As we dance close to the counter, I attempt to grab a knife behind her back... but miss and get a fork instead. On my second try, I succeed in acquiring the knife, but she notices and throws me backwards. Fed up, I charge toward her and stab her repeatedly (and somewhat psychotically) in the stomach until she dies.

Her blood is really warm, almost hot, and my hands are slick with it. The Lady in White comes back as I am attempting to clean up the crimson mess. "Good job," she tells me. After I get all the blood off my hands, I brandish my knife and manage to transform it into a razor sharp sword. I slash through the air a few times to test it, then turn to the Lady.

"Are we done yet?" I ask her.

"Not quite. First we have to make it through the Zombie Apocalypse."

"WHAT!? How long is THAT going to take?"

      "Only about three hours."

"Three hours! I just fought a dinosaur! Can't I rest first?" That question is answered by the sound of approaching zombies. Cursing, I quickly follow the Lady into a creepy looking abandoned building, but
the dream ends before I can fight anything else.

      1- Gary (fragment)
Somehow a naked picture of Gary from Pokemon has found it's way onto my laptop, and no matter what I do I cannot get rid of it. I am commenting to someone that it's not even a good picture of him. ((Weird, considering that not only has it been ages since I've seen Pokemon, but I never liked Gary in the first place.))

2- The Evil Virus of Doom
I am in Chemistry class with a bunch of raucous, misbehaving students. Our teacher has left the room for some reason. Several of my classmates run out into the hallway, because it is rumored that one of the students in another classroom is suffering from a horrible skin condition (or some similar ailment) and they want to check it out.

When the teacher returns, all of the students have made it back except for one. The teacher yells at him furiously, nearly bringing him to tears.

Later, a deadly computer virus is going around, and I am desperately trying to keep my laptop away from all of the infected computers. The virus is after people as well. One of my friends lays down across a bed in some hotel, and a little mechanical voodoo doll walks out from the headboard and stabs her in the head with a needle, infecting her. Alarmed, I pick up my laptop and keep away from the walls as I hurriedly exit the room to get help.

We are so connected that we use first person plural pronouns in place of first person singular. The dream begins with the three of us on the side of the road, where we hail a cab. the driver is a man in his middle ages, and his only other passenger is an elderly lady.

I get the lady's atention, and my mother chops her head off with a double bladed axe. I then stab the driver in the neck with a pocketknife again and again, until he dies.

Since the car is now out of control, the police stop us. I dart off into the forest at my mother's command, bloody knife still in hand. I am worried that my family has been captured, but I push all thoughts from my mind except for escaping from the police. I know that an Easter egg hunt is taking place in the forest somewhere nearby, and I think I can hide among the children. Instead, I run into a guy about my age who says he will help me.

We go to my house, where I must retrieve something. Demons have invaded the place, however, so I tell my friend to wait for me outside. After a horrible struggle with the demons, I retrieve what I was searching for and make it out alive. But only just. I am wounded, and my friend has to carry me through the city. My powers allow us to fly over buildings and cover huge distances.

In the lowlands, a swarm of yellow jackets get after us, but we make it to the ocean and hide under the water. It is here that we find my family. Only now, my mother wants to kill my friend. I cannot allow this to happen, because I have fallen in love with him. Thus, we run away yet again and go into hiding.

      11/11/09

      1- House of Horror
My parents are fighting, and I suddenly become lucid. I fly over the trees and go to a large city, where I meet a little cat girl who is showing me around. She takes me to an abandoned building where we find some creepy looking anime dolls. Suddenly, something starts banging on one of the doors, and I know that whatever it is means harm. I try to keep it from coming in, but I am not strong enough and it bursts into the room. It is a demon clown with a butcher knife. It chases me through the house, and in each room a new horror appears, each one resembling a horror movie villan. I am not scared, but I am doing my best to get away. I burst through the window and run home.

Later, I learn that the little cat girl was a demon who had purposely put me in danger. I go back t that house in search of her, where I am yet again attacked by some sort of creepy creature. This time I stay to fight, and I kill it with a lawn chair, of all things.

      11/26/09

      1- Prince of Darkness
The village used to bea a peaceful, beautiful place, but then th ePrince of Darkness escaped fromt eh Land Under the Ground and took over. I am th eonly person remaining, forced to be a slave for the Dark Prince. He looks like an overgrown slug, and darkness is his aura.

I sneak out of the village and find a large bird that looks like a tree. It tells me that its name is Multrite, and that it is my only hope. But it is dying, and it leaves a baby bird hidden somewhere in the forest.

I go back to the village, and the Prince is waiting. He is furious that I left without permission, so he sends me out to the railway with the dogs as punishment. As we are walking, I ask Alpha (the doberman from UP) if he had ever heard of Multrite. He tells me that he hasn't.

We go to the tunnel of the railway to speak to a consort of the Prince. This is the only perso n whom the Prince seems to respect. While the dogs confer with him, I decide to talk to The Tiger (my only friend in the village) about Multrite. I am certain he will have information.

      2- Assassin's Lament
I am an assassin, and I have just killed a whole bunch of people. I walk to the edge of a cliff, wishing I could jump off rather than kill more people.

      3- Unholy Sanctity
My mom takes us to a Church service which is being led by my cousin. It is taking place in an old Western town. Everyone cracks an egg into a cauldron full of boiling water, then drop a voodoo doll inside. They start laughing like maniacs. I am completely taken aback by this display, and I wonder what has come over all of them.

I live in a community where doing magic is the norm. A lot of weird things are happening, though. For one, there are these giant black beetles everywhere, attacking random animals. One of them is attacking a baby crocodile, while another has attached itself to a turtle's foot. The turtle "runs" around frantically, trying to get it off.

Also, someone seems to be out to get me. My heart was stolen and locked away somewhere. After a bit of digging, I find a large, hollowed out book. My heart is there, beating as it normally would. But I read some of the writing on the pages that remain, and learn to my horror that if my heart were removed from this book, I would die.

I rebury it, but the patch of dirt doesn't blend in with the rest of the ground, and I don't want my brother digging it back up out of curiosity. Someone I am with (that looks a lot like Simon Baker) points his wand at the ground and yells, "Summersand!" Nothing happens. He sheepishly explains that it was a very complex spell, and that he isn't powerful enough to cast it.

"Maybe I could try?" I ask. He shrugs, so I point my wand at the spot where my heart is burried and say, "Summersand!" Some "sand" starts to form all over the ground, though it looks more like styrofoam. Some styrofoam palm trees also form. I have to continually guide the stuff to spread out with my mind, though, or else it willl start to wither. Finally I can't hold it anymore and it withers away. But the spot where I'd been digging did look like it blended in slightly better.

"Very impressive," the guy said, nodding and giving me a pat on the shoulder.

A bit later Shelby informs me that school is starting up, and that we need to head over there before we're late. What? But I don't even have my schedule yet. I haven't gotten any supplies...
Duh, I'm dreaming. ((Isn't it odd how all that abnormal stuff was happening, yet I become lucid from something much more mundane?))

I inform Shelby that there's no point in going to school, because it is all a dream. She looks doubtful but doesn't argue. I walk up through my back yard with her, and someone who resembles the lady from The Devil Wears Prada says a lot of hurtful things to Shelby, then stalks off to the front yard. I decide to have a little fun, so I sneak to the edge of the house and try to use a levatating spell to send a golf ball flying into her head. It doesn't work, and after a bit of trying I decide it's not going to.

Later I am telling my brother that it is a dream, and I think it would be cool if this were really him and not another DC so that we could say we had a shared dream.

I am about to take flight, but something happens and I wake up.

      2- Competitive
Someone challenges me and another person to see who can collect the most muskadines. The person I am competing against won't even let me pick any, so I travel to all different locations (I can see myself on a map!) to get them. End the end, though, I only get ten, so I lose miserably.

One of my dreams, I can remember one detail of it.

      I saw mes Tarrant naked.

This was a dream which I woke up and went back to sleep, and I didn't write it down, so I have now forgotten the rest.

But I remember more of another dream I had.

I was at home, but it wasn't the house I live in in real life. I don't recognise the area at all. But I saw it as home nonetheless.
Me, my mum and this other strange girl went over to some other house, we went round the back and through a door at the back.

I can't remember what we were doing, but I remember it was something important, and we needed to do it all the time, like go back there and do it again all the time.

And then that other girl turned against us, but I think we managed to kill her before she killed us. Then we found someone else to help us.

And that is pretty much all I can remember.

      EDIT:I just remembered another thing
I was on the computer and I went on DV, I noticed there were a couple of names in red but not bold like the admins. My name was also in red. I was actually confused at that point, I had never seen it before, so I clicked on my name and the other one's name to see if I could find out what it was for.
And I can't remember what it turned out to be.

I really need to get back into the habit of writing my dreams down as soon as I can.

Well, I have been quite lazy with my DJ, and I have forgotten most of my dreams that I never wrote down.

I guess I should get myself kick-started again with the little shred of dream I remember.

I remember being in my bed, and I was doing something with Lucozade bottles. I can't remember what, but I remember seeing more bottles on the floor, and I was in my bed, and I couldn't be bothered getting the bottles.

Strange, huh? Especially seeing as my memory of it is fuzzy. I guess you can leave the gaps to your imagination.

I was in this big room kind of like the first room of the "Nacht der Untoten" Nazi Zombies map on Call of Duty World at War. And instead of zombies coming, it was spiders. I think there was someone else with me, and we were kicking spider butt.

I woke up, I sat there on my bed, I couldn't be bothered doing anything, so I went back to sleep.

The moment I fell asleep I was in a dream and I said to myself, "I think I will just have a regular dream", then I said to myself "hell naw, if this a dream, I want to be lucid", and of course I had realised I was dreaming.
But, as I said that, my dream slowly faded away, I started to feel my real body again, I was panicking at this point, which didn't help.

Then after a good few seconds I was awake, I was quite annoyed, so I lay there, not moving, picturing that dream scene in my head and telling myself I will keep awareness. And I slowly came into a dream (lucid) I could see everything was back the way it was. But, I felt my real body again, I could feel the really uncomfortable heat of the sun coming through my window. And the dream slowly faded away again, this time it was like object by object, rather than the full thing fading away.
And I woke up, I did the whole DEILD thing again, and I saw my dream scene again then woke up.

This happened a couple of times before I realised it is pointless, because that sun was just making it so unbearably uncomfortable, it just woke me up every time.

      So I just left it.

      6/6/10 - Crowbars
      Dream Non-dream Lucid

I was outside of a large white house. I was in the backyard, and the house's sliding glass back door was open. Somehow I was lucid. I was just about to go off and explore when five or six guys with crowbars appeared. I figured fighting them would ruin my lucidity, so I tried to dream spin my way out of the situation. Nothing happened.

The crowbar dudes closed in on me. There was no escaping now; I grabbed a crowbar of my own out of thin air and lunged at the nearest guy.

After beating most of the men to a pulp, I was done; someone seemed to have punched me in the stomach, which would explain how I ended up hunched over on the ground, panting.

Three men left, one pretty hot(as in sexy, not sweaty), and they looked murderous. Somehow I talked my way out of it, saying that I didn't care if they robbed the big white house (it wasn't mine), and that I really needed to be somewhere so just leave me alone and go rob the house.

      Sadly, I woke up.

    11. Out of Uniform

      5/8/10 - Out of Uniform
      Dream Non-dream Lucid

It was Monday, and I was at school, talking to Hannah, who was sitting on the gym floor. I noticed her outfit and asked, "Didn't you know we were out of uniform today?" She groaned. "I totally forgot!"
I looked down at my own clothes. From head to waist, I was in uniform - a white polo with a navy blue sweatshirt over it - but tied around my waist, in place of a skirt, was a large blue Gap sweatshirt turned inside out. Underneath it I was wearing navy Gap sweatpants, and down by my knee, as if I were in the process of taking them off, were my pajama pants. I don't believe I was wearing shoes.
"Hannah," I said, "look at what I'm wearing!" She gaped at me. "I must've been really confused this morning!" I exclaimed. "I'm gonna go call my Dad; maybe he'll bring me some clothes."

      My memory fails me.

    12. Na'vi Eggs

      4/28/10 - Na'vi Eggs
      Dream Non-dream Lucid

Don't remember much from this dream.

I was watching a TV show about a team of scientists working on Pandora(from the Avatar movie). Many of them had superpowers of some sort, probably results of their experimenting. The main character was currently hiding outside a large blue tent where the scientists were working. He was, apparently, an Avatar driver, and was inspecting three eggs he'd made with one of the Na'vi (as in, they had sex and the girl got pregnant, but ended up laying eggs). For some odd reason he would crack a hole in each egg after inspecting it and drink the "egg juice" from within. When he was about to deal with the last egg, a dark-haired woman came out of the tent and spotted him. She started screaming at him and he tried to run away, through the tent, but she had superspeed and tackled him to the ground. After a bit of a struggle, and many scientists' intervention, the Avatar guy managed to escape and run off.

      The End. Weird, hmm.

      4/24/10 - Haunted Nightmares
      Dream Non-dream Lucid

I only remember bits and pieces.
I was going on a trip somewhere with my friend Hannah, but something about the mood was ominous.
Then I was in my room and felt a dark presence. I got up and walked toward my desk when all of a sudden I froze. I was forced to turn around and look at the screen of a TV that wasn't there before. The screen was all staticy and I had a terrible feeling in my stomach. An awful, grinning face appeared through the static. "Remember me?" It rasped. I was plunged into a terrible feeling of fear no words could describe. This was the same ghost that had haunted my nightmares as a child. I tried to scream but made no sound.
Then I found myself in my bathroom, just sitting on the toilet seat and thinking about my nightmare. I wondered if I'd really woken up, and looked around carefully for dream signs. Then I felt it again. That dark presence. I couldn't see it but I knew it was coming for me. I tried to wake up by jerking myself and thinking about being in bed.
I sat up in bed. It was difficult - at first I thought it might be sleep paralysis. Then I remembered that some people feel a dark presence while in SP. I felt something behind me, in the hall. I was unwillingly turned around by some force, and watched as an awful pink creature floated through the doorway. That was it.

      I forced myself awake,
      for real this time.

    14. Ninjas at my Aunt's house.

by , 01-10-2010 at 06:00 AM (Visions in the Dark)
I can only remember this dream in fragments.

I am in a house that is of my Aunt Estelle's house. The house is dark, but full of people like there is a party going on or something. I cannot recognize any of the people because of the darkness and I keep bumping into them. There is something about going to the bathroom on the first floor several times.

I gain control of my actions in the dream but do not become aware that it is a dream.

Still in my aunt's house there is suddenly less people walking around in the dark but suddenly we are all dressed like Ninjas and are weilding Samurai swords. I have the longest one. While the others attack me they cannot damage me because their swords are too short to reach me. I cut, slash and kill my opponents, which shocks Moordryd Paynn and his Dragoneyes Crew who are suddenly watching from nearby.

I cannot remember the middle of the dream but near the end I am walking across a field, chasing a man who is my target. Still armed with my samaurai sword, I know I have to kill this man. Obstacles like bushes and small tress keep rapidly growing in front of me to hinder my progress. I am slowed down by having to cut away at the rapidly growing plants with my sword. The sky is yellow ochre coloured and suddenly floating dots or bubbles fill air and surround me, multiplying like cell osmosis. This doesn't impede my pregress but is really trippy to watch.

I find the man I have to kill near a shell of a burnt out brick house in the middle of the field. The man clambers up a large oak tree to get away from me. As I approach the tree I realize that I am unable to reach the man even though he is sitting on the lowest branch of the tree which is not that far from the ground. I have suddenly shrunk in size for some reason and cannot complete my goal.
    15. The Final Days of “24”

      by , 07-09-2009 at 01:32 PM
Night of July 9, 2009. Thursday.

Characters from the television series “24” appear in this dream as a main basis of the plot (other than the main character, curiously enough). I am not even “in” my dream; I am just watching it as if it were a series of “real” events in the United States via some sort of implied remote-viewing rather than being associated with a television show at any point. There is no emotion expressed from my own perspective, although a female reporter seems upset and concerned (and seemingly bewildered by the decisions and actions of the leaders).

For some reason, Ethan Kanin (Bob Gunton) is the “new” president, while the president from the actual show (Cherry Jones) seems to be either vice president or just an adviser or even only a reporter at one point(?). This character rendering lacks cohesion in my dream.

At any rate, he seems annoyed at the present state of affairs regarding other nations (and diplomacy has apparently failed in every way). He gives “the” final order, which is “Raise the right horn!” The lady (Cherry) looks concerned and asks someone else what it could mean. It is too late. The whole sky grows dark and it is seemingly the end of the United States as Cherry “looks out the window” which is actually just a wall without a window(?) or transparent at one point(?) and there is a rumbling and hissing. For some reason, what he said meant that other “enemy” countries would immediately launch missiles at the USA, which really makes no sense at all. I suppose it could have meant that it was the United States which had attacked all of the other countries first, but the events unfold too fast for that to have been the case.

Original notes (July 2009): I am not sure of the meaning in this one. Perhaps “horn” relates to the trumpet blown by the angel in the so-called Last Days, or maybe it relates to right-wing politics. Hard to say, presently. It may even relate to the “devil’s” horn gaining power, yet it is “right”, not “wrong” (or “left”?), although the exact meaning is not clear.

Added (present) notes of November 2013. Several years after this dream, there is coincidentally one Google match on fark.com, but not exact (it being “Raise the right horn of you. Oh wait you only have the one horn!” apparently in reference to joking with the unicorn persona of another forum member). A “horn” could also be a telephone or associated with a particular telephone call within the White House of which I am quite surprised that I had not included in my original notes.
